Analysis of listening strategies employed by college students of science and technology

Based upon the theoretical studies of learning strategies and listening comprehension, an investigation of listening strategies employed by college students of science and technology is conducted to find out the general features of their choices of listening strategies and to reveal the differences in the use of such strategies between effective listeners and less effective ones. The authors hope that this paper may be helpful for the teaching and learning of listening skills.

Offering English and American Literature Optional Courses to Enhance Humanistic Qualities of Students in Universities of Science and Technology

Reform of the Course System of Network Security Theory and Technology for Foreign Students in China

Theory and technology of network security is the core course of information security major,however,it still faces many challenges in the education of foreign graduate students studying in China.This paper analyzes the status quo and existing problems in the course of theory and technology of network security for foreign graduate students studying in China,the most fundamental of which is that the existing teaching materials are difficult to meet the needs of foreign graduate students.In view of the problem,this paper discusses how to improve the existing teaching materials to adapt to the teaching needs for foreign students and puts forward some new ideas and reform measures.

Impacts of Online Remote Education on the Learning Process among Nursing Students

The period of existence and spread of Corona virus has led to the use of all means of remote education as an urgent necessity for all educational facilities, especially universities. Aim: Therefore, it was necessary to study the impacts of online remote education on the learning process among nursing students through studying of two courses;health information management at 6th semester and gerontology nursing course at 4th semester. Tool of Data Collection: A modified questionnaire comprised of forty statements was used through paper-based survey and online survey. Sample: A total samples (224) of nursing students were participated in the survey who enrolled in 2019 and 2020 spring semesters. Setting: The field of study was the nursing department of Applied Medical Science at Misr University for Science and Technology. Results: Induced positive impacts of online education on the learning process for nursing students experience were proven as more than half of the students (53.9%) had prior experience on online system use, and more than two thirds (62.5%) were competent in mobile/computer applications. Almost, two thirds (59.3%) agreed about online assessment experience, except that the online exam was anxious, and the time was insufficient to answer all questions. Also, more than two thirds (64.7%) agreed about the learning process of the two nursing courses. Conclusion: The study concluded that there were positive impacts of online education system on the learning process for nursing students except that the students were not able to decide that the remote online education system can replace traditional face-to-face learning as the clinical experience was not evaluated through this study. Recommendation: This study is recommended to be repeated on a large scale of participants to assess the possibility of achieving clinical experience through online remote education if Corona virus still coexists.

“科教+产教”双驱动融合的计算机类研究生创新人才培养模式探索

面对传统科教与产教中计算机类研究生培养存在的耦合性不足,该文探索“科教+产教”双驱动融合视域下计算机类研究生创新人才培养模式。该模式从思想转变和理念建设、体系构建和规划、资源保障和人才培养三个层面提出总体框架,并针对性地提出多条具体举措,充分诠释“科教+产教”双驱动融合的教育理念,最后阐明所提出的创新人才培养模式的两点特色。研究成果能够在促进教育发展、推动科技创新的同时,成就更多适应新时代计算机类产业需求的高素质创新人才。

Information literacy course design based on student survey: The practice of subject librarians at NSL, CAS

Purpose: This paper aims to explore best practices in academic and research libraries in providing information literacy(IL) instruction to science and engineering graduate students.Design/methodology/approach: Using the questionnaire survey method, we conducted an IL assessment study on 114 graduate students enrolling in graduate courses offered by College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences(GUCAS).Findings: The current situation of graduate students' IL competencies and the need to develop them are revealed. An IL course was designed by subject librarians of National Science Library(NSL), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), with three patterns addressing the development of graduate students' IL competencies.Research limitations: It is only about the practice of subject librarians at NSL, CAS, in designing IL courses for graduate students enrolling in graduate courses offered by College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, GUCAS.Practical implications: The results can provide a lot of useful information for the improvement of IL competencies of graduate students in science and technology disciplines.Originality/value: It is significant for assisting future subject librarians in incorporating IL skills into their course, especially for academic and research librarians to prepare and develop IL courses for science and engineering graduate students.

硕士研究生《生命科学综合》课程思政建设的创新探索

适应新时期要求,培养高素质创新型研究生,实现价值重塑、知识传授和能力提升的“三位一体”培养目标,是基础医学教学面临的重大课题。《生命科学综合》课程是研究生的必修课,课程以集成方式将基础医学包含的核心课程优化融合在一起,由多学科教师以讲座的形式授课。在了解目前研究生课程思政的教学现状和存在问题的基础上,建立了课程思政教学改革机制。通过分析基础医学《生命科学综合》课程特点,挖掘课程思政元素,春风化雨般地将思政元素融入课程教学方案、课堂教学、课程的考核和学生的调研以及教师的日常培训和考核中,引导学生树立正确的世界观、人生观和价值观,达到润物细无声的育人效果。

研究生专业课程教学中的课程思政探索

开展和加强研究生专业课教学中的课程思政是适应中国式现代化发展需求、培养新型创新人才的客观要求。在深入分析目前研究生专业课教学特点及课程思政内涵的基础上,提出在研究生专业课教学中开展课程思政的基本原则,以及教学内容和教学方法的设计原则。以激光与核技术课程为例,开展具体教学案例设计和初步的教学实践,实现研究生专业知识教育与思想政治教育的有机融合,收到良好教学效果,为构建面向研究生专业课程教学的课程思政提供一定的借鉴。

基于OBE理念的农业类研究生科技论文写作课程建设与实践

深化专业学位研究生培养机制改革是新时代研究生教育分类发展的核心主题。本研究以教育、科技、人才一体化为视角,通过考察我国经济强省和教育大省的专业学位研究生教育发展,总结特点和经验,以期为全国专业学位研究生教育高质量发展提供实践经验。研究发现,专业学位研究生培养主要瓶颈是过度指标考核及学术导向,导致校企联合培养质量打折扣;行业企业参与联合培养成本高、供需错位,导致动力性不强;专业学位点及课程教学内容设置滞后,难以跟上生产实践需要;多元主体协同松散,治理机制不健全,导致难以支撑“有组织育人”。分类发展背景下专业学位研究生培养亟待服务于国家和区域发展战略需求,优化政校院企多元主体协同新机制,以教育为主体深化分类培养改革,以科技为支撑促进科教深度融合,以人才为支点强化人才能力导向,以产业为依托深化区域产教融合,以制度为保障优化多元主体组织架构,强化教育、科技、人才一体化的支撑作用,打造专业学位研究生教育高质量发展新局面。

新医科背景下医学研究生核心课程建设研究——以桂林医学院为例

新医科是新时代党和国家对医学教育发展和高素质医学人才培养的最新要求,健全和完善医学研究生核心课程体系是保障医学研究生培养质量最基本和最关键的环节。文章针对新医科背景下地方医学院校医学研究生培养过程中核心课程建设的问题,分别从改革研究生培养方案、构建多层次研究生课程体系、创新特色研究生教学方式和教学内容、完善课程考核评价监督体系等方面,进行了种种探索与实践。

国立西南联合大学文科研究生培养模式的内容、特点及启示

全面抗战时期,西南联大弦歌不辍,对文科研究生培养进行了卓有成效的探索。云南昆明相对稳定的社会环境、文科教育深厚的历史传统以及凝聚民心的实现需要,为西南联大文科研究生培养奠定了基础。西南联大恢复文科研究生教育,逐步确立了严格的招考制度,通过实施导师制、建立课程体系、开展多样化的科研训练等途径,形成了较为完善的文科研究生培养模式,并通过实施毕业考核、奖助学金等制度保障了研究生培养质量。西南联大培养了许多优秀的文科人才,研究生培养呈现出严进严出、课程教学与科学研究相结合、导学关系和谐融洽等特点,对当下研究生教育的改革与发展有启示意义。

地方高校计算机类研究生创新能力培养

为解决地方高等学校计算机类研究生创新能力培养过程中优质资源偏少、生源质量欠佳的问题,针对地方高校研究生培养具备的条件、计算机学科研究生培养的特点进行分析,提出从基础知识储备积累、内部学术交流协作、外部科研环境支撑、个人潜能特性和学术成果验证5个方面,对计算机类研究生进行创新能力培养的探索和思考。通过调研进一步确认了相关因素对研究生创新能力培养的影响程度,并对后续工作提出了建议。

基于智库双螺旋法的科技伦理治理背景下护理研究生科研伦理培训调查研究

目的:调查某省护理研究生对基于智库双螺旋法的科技伦理研究培训需求,为护理研究生临床科研提供针对性建议。方法:对某省3所高等医学院校87名护理研究生采用随机抽样的方式进行问卷调查,对数据进行统计分析和描述,采用χ2检验和二元Logistic回归分析影响因素。结果:98.8%的护理研究生认为“需要”接受智库双螺旋法的科研伦理知识培训,培训需求依次为智库双螺旋法(98.8%)、科技伦理治理原则(75.8%)、医学伦理审查相关内容(88.5%)、医学伦理审查流程(87.3%)、医学前沿领域涉及到的伦理问题(81.6%)、医学伦理委员会制度(79.3%)、医学科研的应用伦理规范(65.5%)、相关伦理文件解读(42.5%);培训形式及途径依次为网络授课讲座(67.8%)、传统课堂授课(58.6%)、导师或课题组学习(47.1%)、实习工作期间单位开展(26.4%)、其他形式(2.3%)。Logistic回归分析结果显示,有课题申报相关经历和科研伦理相关学习经历的护理研究生对于智库双螺旋法背景下的科研伦理培训需求意愿较高(P<0.05)。结论:运用智库双螺旋法的基本框架,结合实践案例,对科技伦理研究的框架、过程与逻辑进行分析,对加快提升护理研究生的科研伦理素养、提高临床科研能力具有指导意义。

理工科研究生专业英语教学质量提升的改革探索

研究生课程脉冲功率技术及应用的思政建设探索

《高等学校课程思政建设指导纲要》提出要在全国所有学科专业全面推进课程思政建设,这对原本相对比较薄弱的研究生课程思政建设提出挑战。为此,基于研究生课程脉冲功率技术及应用的特点,构建融合显性目标和隐性目标的思政建设整体框架,从家国情怀、创新精神、科研热情和辩证统一等角度深入挖掘和分析该课程的思政元素,并基于研究生课程教学、理工科课程教学的特点对该课程课堂教学的各环节进行改革与探索,基于三届研究生教学实践及教学效果反馈信息分析,对该课程的思政建设取得较好的效果,也为其他理工类研究生课程的思政建设提供参考。
