Surface active ionic liquids (SAILs) are considered as prominent materials in enhanced oil recovery thanks to their high interfacial activity. This study reports the preparation and applications of a nanostructure Tripodal imidazolium SAIL as an environmentally-friendly substitute to the conventional surfactants. The product has a star-like molecular structure centered by a triazine spacer, namely [(C_(4)im)_(3)TA][Cl_(3)], prepared by a one-step synthesis method and characterized with FT-IR, NMR, XRD, and SEM analysis methods. The interfacial tension of the system was decreased to about 78% at critical micelle concentration of less than 0.08 mol·dm^(−3). Increasing temperature, from 298.2 to 323.2 K, improved this capability. The solid surface wettability was changed from oil-wet to water-wet and 80% and 77% stable emulsions of crude oil–aqueous solutions were created after one day and one week, respectively. Compared to the Gemini kind homologous SAILs, the superior effects of the Tripodal SAIL were revealed and attributed to the strong hydrophobic branches in the molecule. The Frumkin adsorption isotherm precisely reproduced the generated IFT data, and accordingly, the adsorption and thermodynamic parameters were determined. 展开更多

These two communities contain features characterized by the sustainable principles of the ecovillage concept by using non-traditional building materials. The creations of more ecovillages, along with the growth of current ecovillages, play an important role in positively solvening environmental and social problems. In recent years,green concepts have been integrated into the product iterative design in the manufacturing field to address global competition and sustainability issues.However,previous efforts for green material optimal selection disregarded the interaction and fusion among physical entities,virtual models,and users,resulting in distortions and inaccuracies among user,physical entity,and virtual model such as inconsistency among the expected value,predicted simulation value,and actual performance value of evaluation indices.Therefore,this study proposes a digital twin-driven green material optimal selection and evolution method for product iterative design.Firstly,a novel framework is proposed.Subsequently,an analysis is carried out from six perspectives:the digital twin model construction for green material optimal selection,evolution mechanism of the digital twin model,multi-objective prediction and optimization,algorithm design,decision-making,and product function verification.Finally,taking the material selection of a shared bicycle frame as an example,the proposed method was verified by the prediction and iterative optimization of the carbon emission index. 展开更多

Date palm pit(DPP)-filled poly(-hydroxybutyrate)(PHB)composites were prepared,evaluated,and characterized to determine their thermal insulation ability.Thermal conductivity values ranged between 0.086 and 0.100 W/(m·K).At a maximum filler concentration(50%(w)),the specific heat capacity and thermal diffusivity were 1183 J/(kg·K)and 0.0689 mm^(2)/s,respec-tively.The DPP increased the thermal stability,and the highest compressive strength obtained was 80 MPa at 30%filler content.The PHB-DPP composites exhibited promising water absorption(less than 6%)and tensile strength(6-14 MPa).Date-pit-based PHB composites could be used in sustainable building engineering and cleaner production. 展开更多

With regard to the optimization test of mixing ratio between waste bamboo and cement,the single axial compression strength of the second set(5:95) is the highest.By increasing the mixing ratio to 10:90 and complying with Chinese national standard(CNS) required strength for water permeable bricks.In the test for optimizing the mixing ratio of waste bamboo-charcoal and cement,the second set of single-axial compression strengths is the highest.Further increasing the ratio to 40:60,the single-axial compression strength also can be up to 9.212 MPa,and complying with CNS requir 7.840 MPa for the strength of decoration bricks.In the investigation of the optimization ratio for the mixture ratio of 2(hammered fine coal debris):1(fly-ash):1(cement) after a 28-day aging,and the resultant strength of 39.788 MPa are observed for each set,and complying with the strength required by CNS for high-pressure brick C-grade.By means of natural strengthen agents can increase the strength,it is concluded that the strengthen agents can significantly increase the strength after aging for 6 to 28 days.For competitive strategy for a future market,it should be focused on the creation of differentiation for product and technology,the increase of service and features,as well as the branding effect to become a price-leader. 展开更多
