Species, application frequencies, habitat features and combination modes of Rhododendron species in Kunming City were studied through random sampling in different subareas of Kunming City. The results show that Rhododendron species were widely applied in parks, residential areas and street-side green spaces. Diversified application patterns presented excellent landscape effects, but only a few species were used, for example, Rhododendron pulchrum Sweet., R. hybridum, R. simsii var. simsii, while R. delavayi Franch. and R. simsii var. mesembrinum Rehd. were occasionally found. Landscaping features of Kunming were characterized by domination of Rhododendron species, advantages and problems of Rhododendron species in landscaping of Kunming City were analyzed. It was proposed that introduction and domestication of wild Rhododendron species should be enhanced, rich germplasm resources of Rhododendron species should be fully used, and more indigenous Rhododendron species applied. 展开更多

Sustainable growth is a prerequisite for high-quality development,and inclusive green growth is regarded as an important way to realize sustainable growth.This paper constructs a tourism inclusive green growth index(IGGI)system based on the 2018 Asian Development Bank IGGI.Using Shandong Province from 2017 to 2019,the entropy weight method is utilized to explore the degree of coupling and coordination among the subsystems of tourism inclusive green growth.The study shows that:(1)the tourism IGGI continues to grow;(2)in the tourism inclusive green growth system,the social equity subsystem shows a trend of steady improvement;and(3)in the system,there is a slight discordance between the economic growth subsystem and the environmental sustainability subsystem.The study aims to provide the scientific basis for the high-quality development of tourism and theoretical support for the field of tourism and environmental sustainability. 展开更多

The functionality of buildings depends on the climate they are subjected to,this means buildings constructed these days need to be built to perform efficiently within the current and future climate and with the aim of reducing the greenhouse emission induced on the environment.In order to lower CO_(2) emissions and assist in reinforcing the capability of cities to adapt to climate change whilst enhancing the quality of the built environment,it is vital to improve the environmental performance and energy efficiency in buildings.This study aims to identify and compare existing GBRS(green building rating system)with Nigerian climatic condition.Proposal criteria weighting was developed from the questionnaire supplying expert opinions.It began with a comparative analysis of GBRS.The analysis was conducted to find the similarities and differences between existing rating systems and come up with an appropriate rating system for Nigeria.These approaches included a fieldwork approach(pilot study,survey);questionnaire;and interviews,both structured and unstructured.Then,the information generated in this pre-test investigation formed the conversational guide and described the decision to determine the main factors that should be involved in the new assessment system for Nigeria. 展开更多

Annual forage legumes are important components of livestock production systems in East Texas and the southeastern US. Forage legumes contribute nitrogen (N) to cropping systems through biological N fixation, and their seasonal biomass production can be managed to complement forage grasses. Our research objectives were to evaluate both warm- and cool-season annual forage legumes as green manure for biomass, N content, ability to enhance soil organic carbon (SOC) and soil N, and impact on post season forage grass crops. Nine warm-season forage legumes (WSL) were spring planted and incorporated as green manure in the fall. Forage rye (Secale cereale L.) was planted following the incorporation of WSL treatments. Eight cool-season forage legumes (CSL) were fall planted in previously fallow plots and incorporated as green manure in late spring. Sorghum-sudangrass (Sorghum bicolor x Sorghum bicolor var. sudanense) was planted over all treatments in early summer after forage rye harvest and incorporation of CSL treatments. Sorghum-sudangrass was harvested in June, August and September, and treatments were evaluated for dry matter and N concentration. Soil cores were taken from each plot, split into depths of 0 to 15, 15 to 30 and 30 to 60 cm, and soil C and N were measured using combustion analysis. Nylon mesh bags containing plant samples were buried at 15 cm and used to evaluate decomposition rate of above ground legume biomass, including change in C and N concentrations. Mungbean (Vigna radiata L. [Wilczek]) had the highest shoot biomass yield (6.24 t DM ha<sup>-1</sup>) and contributed the most total N (167 kg∙ha<sup>-1</sup>) and total C (3043 kg∙ha<sup>-1</sup>) of the WSL tested. Decomposition rate of WSL biomass was rapid in the first 10 weeks and very slow afterward. Winter pea (Pisum sativum L. spp. sativum), arrow leaf clover (Trifolium vesiculosum Savi.), and crimson clover (Trifolium incarnatum L.) were the most productive CSL in this trial. Austrian winter pea produced 8.41 t DM ha<sup>-1</sup> with a total N yield of 319 kg N ha<sup>-1</sup> and total C production of 3835 kg C ha<sup>-1</sup>. The WSL treatments had only small effects on rye forage yield and N concentration, possibly due to mineralization of N from a large SOC pool already in place. The CSL treatments also had only minimal effects on sorghum-sudangrass forage production. Winter pea, arrow leaf and crimson clover were productive cool season legumes and could be useful as green manure crops. Mungbean and cowpea (Vigna unguiculata [L.] Walp.) were highly productive warm season legumes but may include more production risk in green manure systems due to soil moisture competition. 展开更多

[Method]With shoot tip of natural green cotton as receptor and by using Agrobacterium-mediated transformation method,the optimum conditions of regeneration system were obtained. [Result]Combining with vacuum infiltration,3-old-day shoot tips were infected for 10 minutes in Abarobacterium suspension with OD600 value about 0.5 followed by co-culture for 24 h on the medium containing MS+l mg/L KT,pH value of 5.8. The regeneration culture was conducted in MS medium containing l mg/L KT and increasingly 30,50 and 70 mg/L Kan. The highest transformation frequency was 34.6%,and the positive resistant plantlets of green cotton 9804 were obtained. [Conclusion]Green cotton is more beneficial than white cotton to conduct genetic transformation. 展开更多

Environmental and ecological problems in the urban-rural integration were analyzed, characteristics of urban green space system introduced, such as excellent landscape eco-structure, distinctive historical and humanistic features, and diversified natural landscape resources, and also challenges pointed out. Evolution, overall spatial structure and conservation concept of conservation-minded urban green space system planning were elaborated, on the basis of which the evaluation system of conservation-minded urban green space system was studied, and it was proposed that mutual relationship between impact factors of compound value and qualitative evaluation factors should be taken into consideration as a whole in evaluating conservation effects of green space system. Quantitative evaluation indexes and qualitative evaluation measures were analyzed, an objective and precise evaluation system for the conservation-minded urban green space system was established by combining qualitative and quantitative analysis to improve ecological environment during the urbanization, and fully show planning concepts of conservation-minded green space system. 展开更多

The newly invented farming method, Fenlong technology, uses self-propelled powder-ridging mechanical screw-type drill for the deep-cultivation and deep tillage of soil, and it can enhance the double tillering depth than the conventional tillage. Moreover, the tilth soil is uniform in size and in small, broken bits and loose. It expands the new soil "four warehouses" (namely soil nutrient warehouse, water warehouse, oxygen warehouse and microbial warehouse), and under the conditions of "three no increase" in chemical fertilizer and pesticide, irrigation water and labor input, various crops show a increase of 10%-30% in yield (average increase by 25.48% in the 23 rice, wheat and corn planting areas of several provinces), 5% in quality, and 1 time in water retention. And the sustainable production-increasing ef- fect lasts 2-3 years after once Fenlong tillage, with the comparative efficiency reaching about 20%. It is suggested using Fenlong to activate the arable land, saline land grassland and rivers resources, so as to drive the construction of green agriculture "3+1" industrial system, which can promote the realization of the increases in available agricultural resource stock, quality food resource stock and available water resource stock in China and even in the world, realize the "two responses" to ecological environment deterioration and climate warming, and achieve the harmonious coexistence of human beings and nature. 展开更多
