How Software Engineering Transforms Organizations: An Open and Qualitative Study on the Organizational Objectives and Motivations in Agile Transformations

Agile Transformations are challenging processes for organizations that look to extend the benefits of Agile philosophy and methods beyond software engineering.Despite the impact of these transformations on orga-nizations,they have not been extensively studied in academia.We conducted a study grounded in workshops and interviews with 99 participants from 30 organizations,including organizations undergoing transformations(“final organizations”)and companies supporting these processes(“consultants”).The study aims to understand the motivations,objectives,and factors driving and challenging these transformations.Over 700 responses were collected to the question and categorized into 32 objectives.The findings show that organizations primarily aim to achieve customer centricity and adaptability,both with 8%of the mentions.Other primary important objectives,with above 4%of mentions,include alignment of goals,lean delivery,sustainable processes,and a flatter,more team-based organizational structure.We also detect discrepancies in perspectives between the objectives identified by the two kinds of organizations and the existing agile literature and models.This misalignment highlights the need for practitioners to understand with the practical realities the organizations face.

Differentiated Paths of Regional Green Development Driven by Industrial Enterprise Innovation

A fundamental shift in the regional development pattern is crucial to achieving a comprehensive green transformation in China.Currently,innovation-driven green development is a significant strategic option for regional development.As the main body of innovation and the basic unit of regional composition,enterprises have a profound impact on the development of regional economy,society,ecology,and other aspects.However,considering China’s vast territory and significant regional differences in natural environment and industrial structure,it’s necessary to further explore the specific impact paths of regional green development driven by enterprise innovation.Therefore,taking industrial enterprises as an example,based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2016 to 2020,this study verifies the impact of industrial enterprise innovation on the regional green development level by constructing a parallel multiple mediating effect model and dividing the economy into eastern,central,and western regions to discuss the specific impact paths.The results show that industrial enterprise innovation has a significant positive effect on regional green development level,via different influencing paths in each region:(1)The eastern region improves the regional green development level by narrowing the urban-rural income gap;(2)The central region improves the regional green development level by reducing resource dependence;and(3)The western region raises the regional green development level by improving the rationalization of industrial structure.

Analysis of the Digital Transformation Development Path for Travel Enterprises

The travel industry is witnessing rapid changes due to the advent of digital technologies. Traditional travel enterprises face challenges from online travel agencies, sharing economy platforms, and new customer expectations. As a result, adapting to the digital age has become a necessity for their survival. This paper discusses the development path and related countermeasures of the digital transformation of tourism enterprises. In the literature review, the concept and significance of digitalization, industrial transformation and tourism digital transformation are analyzed. In the description of the evaluation index selection, the evaluation index of the digital development level of the tourism enterprises is determined, and the evaluation method of the entropy value method and the grey relative correlation degree analysis are introduced. Through data calculation and result analysis, the digital level and contribution of China’s tourism industry is evaluated. In the restriction analysis, the paper focuses on the constraints of online tourism, sustainable development, infrastructure, development potential and information technology level. Finally, the key measures to strengthen customer demand insight, strengthen the construction of information technology infrastructure, promote the application and innovation of new technologies, and strengthen the development of social responsibility projects are put forward in the path selection and countermeasures. This study has important guidance for promoting the digital transformation and sustainable development of tourism.

The Stable Mechanism and Motive System for the Development of Green Enterprises

Green Enterprises are a modernized enterprise mode. The paper analyzes the internal stable mechanism and motive system for the sustainable development of green enterprises in three aspects： environment, culture and innovation. The paper discusses the three subsystems respectively in the light of green enterprises. Research and Analysis of Transformation and Development of China's Green Economy under the New Normal

In May 2014,Chairman Xi Jinping mentioned the "new normal" for the first time during his inspection of Henan,and proposed that China's development is still in an important period of strategic opportunity. It was advocated to promote the transformation and development of China's green economy and to go out an ecological path of green innovation,green production and green consumption. This paper mainly explains the current situation,problems,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions of the transformation and development of China's green economy under the new normal to let readers understand the necessity of the transformation and development of China's green economy.

Green transformation path of resources-based enterprises in the western region:A case study of Panjiang Group Co.,Ltd.

With the exploitation of non-renewable natural resources in the traditional resource-based enterprises,the resources-waste,environmental pollution and ecological destruction are becoming more and more serious.Under the background of ecological civilization construction,the green transformation of resource-based enterprises in the western region is extremely urgent.Through the review of related literatures,based on sustainable development theory and dynamic capability theory,the paper study the basic characteristics and difficulties of western resource-based enterprises,and analyze the ecological network and basic path of enterprise.Combined with the actual case,this study analyzes the motivation,conditions,restrictive factors and transition path of resource-based enterprises green transformation in the western regions and then puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the realization of resource-based enterprises green transformation.

Multifaceted natural resources and green energy transformation for sustainable industrial development

Climate change is the most phenomenal challenge to humanity,and its roots are intervened with unsustainable industrialization,exercising overexploitation of natural resources.Therefore,the departure from non-renewable to renewables has become inevitable,though thought-provoking.In this respect,we explore how green energy transformation moderates the impacts of multifaceted natural resources on sustainable industrial development in the presence of other covariates involving technological progress,financial development,and economic progress.We compiled data from Group of Seven(G-7)members over the 19952018 period and applied panel quantile regression(PQREG)to capture the effects across varying levels of quantiles of sustainable industrial development.Results revealed a positive role of natural gas rents,while coal,forest,and total natural resource rents contributed adverse implications for sustainable industrial development.However,the green energy transformation proved to be the game changer because it not only directly induced sustainable industrial development improvement but also turned the unfavorable effects of coal,forest,and total natural resources into favorable ones by interacting with those multifaceted natural resources.Technological,financial,and economic progress supported sustainable industrial development in G-7 nations,particularly in members with existing middle and upper scales of sustainable industrial development.These findings are robust enough when subjected to different estimation tools.In light of these outcomes,the interaction between green energy transformation and natural resource policy is inevitably critical to attaining natural resource efficiency for sustainable industrial development.Therefore,it is imperative to establish a close policy coordination between advancing green energy technology and allocating natural resource revenue to achieve sustainable development goals(SDGs),with a particular emphasis on SDG-7 and SDG-13。

Digital Empowerment, Digital Input Source, and Green Transformation of Manufacturing Industry

An important proposition needed in-depth research is how digital technology empowers the green transformation of the manufacturing industry.This paper empirically finds that digital empowerment can boost the green transformation of enterprises,the conclusion of which stands valid under all kinds of robustness tests.Moreover,such boosting is heterogeneous and exists in industries with different energy consumption intensities.In addition,digital empowerment has a positive spillover effect on the green transformation ofupstream and downstream enterprises along industrial chains.From the specific mechanism of action,digital empowerment mainly drives the green transformation of manufacturing enterprises through scale and technology effects.The green transformationis significantly positively affected by digital empowerment.Compared with digital empowerment driven by domestic digital sources,the one built on foreign digital sourceshas a more profound influence on the green transformation of the manufacturing industry,although the green transformation is significantly positively affected bydigital empowerment.The differences above may stem from the gap in the development of digital technology at home and abroad.This judgment has been further confirmed in the heterogeneity analysis on regions with different levels of economic development and factor-intensive manufacturing industries.This means that in the new round of technological competition,China should be alert to the potential impact brought by the development gap of domestic and global digital technologies.This paper helps to expand and deepen the understanding of the factors affecting the green transformation of manufacturing enterprises.It also brings important policy implications to the following aspects:the method of seizing strategic opportunities brought by digital technology,the first-mover advantage built on open integration and innovation,the narrowing of the gap with foreign digital development levels,and the stabilization of digital empowerment basis for the green transformation oftheemanufacturing industry.

在数字经济和实体经济深度融合、全球创新竞争加剧的背景下,加快数字化转型和平台化变革,塑造多元互动和整体进化的创新生态系统,是增强制造业企业自主创新能力的重要途径。在传统技术经济范式中引入数字要素和平台理念,构建“技术—组织—创新”理论框架,分析数字化转型促进组织平台化变革进而提升企业创新绩效的作用机制。在理论分析的基础上,基于2014—2021年中国制造业上市公司的面板数据,实证检验了数字化转型、平台化变革与企业创新绩效之间的关系。研究结果表明:数字化转型对企业创新绩效的提升具有普遍的促进作用,并且对数字化水平更高和股权集中度更高的企业效果更显著;数字化转型促进了企业组织的平台化变革,基于数字平台形成创新生态系统进而增强了企业自主创新能力;数字化对企业平台化的推动作用主要通过专业化分工和企业互联互通实现,这是工业互联网平台发挥作用的两个重要维度。推动制造业企业的数字化转型和平台化变革,充分发挥数字平台的创新基础设施作用,能够提升企业创新绩效,推动制造业高质量发展。

山东省农业绿色低碳转型评价及驱动因素分析

农业绿色低碳发展是实现农业现代化和经济高质量发展的重要途径,针对农业面源污染严重、农产品质量安全隐患凸显、农业碳排放增加等问题,山东省推动农业绿色低碳转型势在必行。本研究构建了山东省农业绿色低碳转型水平评价指标体系,采用熵权法对2011—2021年山东省农业绿色低碳转型水平进行测算,从整体、经济圈和地市3个层面分析了农业绿色低碳转型水平的时空分异情况,采用自然断点法对山东省进行分类分析,通过地理探测器揭示山东省及三大经济圈农业绿色低碳转型的关键驱动因素。研究发现:1)山东省农业绿色低碳转型的总体水平呈现稳步增长态势,年均增长率达2.310%。2)16个地市的农业绿色低碳转型水平均呈明显上升趋势,青岛、济南连续11年领跑,而临沂、潍坊、威海连续11年位居16个地市的尾部。3)省会经济圈的农业绿色低碳转型水平一直处于领先水平,其次为鲁南经济圈,胶东经济圈的水平则相对较低。4)财政支农政策、农业科技投入、农业产业结构调整是山东省农业绿色低碳转型的关键驱动因素。农业产业结构调整是省会经济圈最重要的驱动因素,城镇化水平是胶东经济圈最重要的驱动因素,政策扶持力度是鲁南经济圈最重要的驱动因素,且各因素交互产生的驱动作用程度高于单因素。基于此,山东省应以政策引领激发内生动力,强化头雁的示范带动作用,因地制宜地探索绿色低碳创新路径。

“双碳”目标下数字化转型与企业ESG责任表现:影响效应与作用机制

数字化转型赋予企业经济绩效与非经济绩效增长新的驱动力,但其能否进一步改善企业在环境、社会与治理方面的表现,助推“双碳”目标实现?以2012—2021年华证ESG评分披露的2 909家A股上市公司为样本,实证检验数字化转型对企业ESG责任表现的影响及作用机制,结果发现:第一,数字化转型可以改善企业ESG责任表现,尤其可以提升其在环境与社会责任两方面表现,且云计算技术对企业ESG责任表现的贡献最为突出。经过一系列稳健性检验后,上述结论仍然成立。第二,机制检验表明,数字化转型能够促进企业财务绩效提升并降低企业风险水平,进而促进企业绿色技术创新,故有助于提升企业ESG责任表现。第三,数字化转型对企业ESG责任表现的影响存在异质性,国有企业、成熟期企业与重污染企业ESG责任表现对数字化转型更为敏感。结论基于数字化视角可为企业绿色高质量发展提供新思路、新方法,从而为实现“双碳”目标与经济目标提供启示。

数字化转型赋能企业绿色创新:监督效应与激励效应的分析

数字化转型是新一轮产业革命驱动下企业的战略选择,为企业绿色创新提供了新动能。以2011—2020年沪深两市A股上市公司为样本,理论分析并实证检验了数字化转型赋能企业绿色创新的作用机制。研究发现:数字化转型可以显著促进企业的绿色创新。该结论在经过一系列稳健性检验后依然成立。机制分析表明,数字化转型驱动企业实施绿色创新主要通过监督效应和激励效应两条路径实现。异质性分析表明,在内部控制质量较好、所处地区市场化水平较高、国有和重点排污企业中,数字化转型产生的绿色创新驱动效应更大。此外,数字化转型推进企业同时开展绿色独立和联合创新、同时积累绿色发明专利和实用新型专利。研究结论明确了数字化转型赋能企业绿色创新的作用机理,为促进企业绿色创新、助力企业高质量发展提供了政策启示。

经典环境社会学研究聚焦环境问题或环境衰退的学理解剖与理论阐释,呈现“环境衰退论”的叙事特征。为应对环境挑战,人类积极调整人与自然以及人与人之间的关系,推动社会的绿色转型,勾勒出资源消耗迈向资源善用、环境损害迈向生态修复、生态代谢断裂迈向生态循环以及失序发展迈向协调发展的基本轮廓。制度-政策势能、经济-技术变革和社会-文化浪潮构成绿色转型赖以发轫和发展的基本机制,其中,制度-政策势能在中国的绿色转型实践中扮演着关键性角色。当前,绿色转型虽然已不只是学术想象与学术倡导,但这种转型实践还处于趋势性状态,面临着不平衡性、不稳定性和不充分性的挑战。对此,环境社会学需要持续开展更为深入的学理研究。

企业数字化转型、绿色创新与碳绩效——碳排放权交易政策与公众环境关注度的调节作用

随着数字经济的迅猛发展,利用数字化优势助力企业绿色转型已成为“双碳”背景下的必然趋势。从利益相关者理论和信号理论出发,以2014—2020年中国沪深A股上市工业企业为样本,实证检验了企业数字化转型能否提升碳绩效,并探讨了绿色创新在其中的中介作用以及碳排放权交易政策和公众环境关注度的调节作用。研究发现,企业数字化转型显著提升了碳绩效,并通过绿色创新正向影响企业碳绩效水平。同时,碳排放权交易政策与公众环境关注度均能发挥显著的正向调节效应。异质性分析显示,企业数字化转型对碳绩效的促进作用在非高新技术企业和高市场竞争程度的情境下更为明显,但产权性质的影响并不显著。研究结论厘清了企业通过数字化转型促进绿色创新进而提升碳绩效的驱动机制,为推进企业数字化转型以实现绿色发展具有重要参考意义。

中国新能源产业发展态势、优势潜能与取向选择

大力培育发展新能源产业,既是贯彻新发展理念的内在要求,又是推动能源绿色低碳转型的必由之路。未来3—5年是中国新能源产业发展的关键时期,要形成与碳达峰碳中和目标相匹配的发展规模,抢占产业发展的技术制高点,引领国民经济跨越式发展,形成经济增长的新动能。中国新能源产业发展呈现在全球范围拥有巨大市场和增长潜力、逐步形成外贸竞争新优势、拉动商品出口结构持续优化等态势,但也面临产业链起点不平衡冲击新能源资本市场秩序、新技术新产品产业化进程亟待提高、贸易保护政策等竞争形势加剧发展不确定性等问题。培育新能源产业发展新动能的关键任务在于优化新能源产业领域资源配置,构建优势互补的多元能源体系,优化新能源产业链整体部署,加快形成高水平制度型开放格局,巩固提高新能源产业国际竞争力。
