The China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor plans to build a 200 k V/25 A acceleration grid power supply(AGPS)for the negative-ion-based neutral beam injector prototype system.The AGPS uses a rectifier-inverter-isolated step-up structure.There is a DC bus between the rectifier and the inverter.In order to limit DC bus voltage ripple and transient fluctuations,a large number of capacitors are used,which degrades the reliability of the power supply and occupies a large amount of space.This work finds that due to the difference in the turn-off time of the rectifier and the inverter,the capacitance mainly depends on the rectifier current when the inverter is turned off.On this basis,an active power filter(APF)scheme is proposed to absorb the current.To enhance the dynamic response ability of the APF,model predictive control is adopted.In this paper,the circuit structure of the APF is introduced,the prediction model is deduced,the corresponding control strategy and signal detection method are proposed,and the simulation and experimental results show that APF can track the transient current of the DC bus and reduce the voltage fluctuation significantly. 展开更多

Increasing energy demands due to factors such as population,globalization,and industrialization has led to increased challenges for existing energy infrastructure.Efficient ways of energy generation and energy consumption like smart grids and smart homes are implemented to face these challenges with reliable,cheap,and easily available sources of energy.Grid integration of renewable energy and other clean distributed generation is increasing continuously to reduce carbon and other air pollutants emissions.But the integration of distributed energy sources and increase in electric demand enhance instability in the grid.Short-term electrical load forecasting reduces the grid fluctuation and enhances the robustness and power quality of the grid.Electrical load forecasting in advance on the basic historical data modelling plays a crucial role in peak electrical demand control,reinforcement of the grid demand,and generation balancing with cost reduction.But accurate forecasting of electrical data is a very challenging task due to the nonstationary and nonlinearly nature of the data.Machine learning and artificial intelligence have recognized more accurate and reliable load forecastingmethods based on historical load data.The purpose of this study is to model the electrical load of Jajpur,Orissa Grid for forecasting of load using regression type machine learning algorithms Gaussian process regression(GPR).The historical electrical data and whether data of Jajpur is taken for modelling and simulation and the data is decided in such a way that the model will be considered to learn the connection among past,current,and future dependent variables,factors,and the relationship among data.Based on this modelling of data the network will be able to forecast the peak load of the electric grid one day ahead.The study is very helpful in grid stability and peak load control management. 展开更多

In this paper,an intelligent control method applying on numerical virtual flight is proposed.The proposed algorithm is verified and evaluated by combining with the case of the basic finner projectile model and shows a good application prospect.Firstly,a numerical virtual flight simulation model based on overlapping dynamic mesh technology is constructed.In order to verify the accuracy of the dynamic grid technology and the calculation of unsteady flow,a numerical simulation of the basic finner projectile without control is carried out.The simulation results are in good agreement with the experiment data which shows that the algorithm used in this paper can also be used in the design and evaluation of the intelligent controller in the numerical virtual flight simulation.Secondly,combined with the real-time control requirements of aerodynamic,attitude and displacement parameters of the projectile during the flight process,the numerical simulations of the basic finner projectile’s pitch channel are carried out under the traditional PID(Proportional-Integral-Derivative)control strategy and the intelligent PID control strategy respectively.The intelligent PID controller based on BP(Back Propagation)neural network can realize online learning and self-optimization of control parameters according to the acquired real-time flight parameters.Compared with the traditional PID controller,the concerned control variable overshoot,rise time,transition time and steady state error and other performance indicators have been greatly improved,and the higher the learning efficiency or the inertia coefficient,the faster the system,the larger the overshoot,and the smaller the stability error.The intelligent control method applying on numerical virtual flight is capable of solving the complicated unsteady motion and flow with the intelligent PID control strategy and has a strong promotion to engineering application. 展开更多

Recently, the smart grid has been considered as a next-generation power system to modernize the traditional grid to improve its security, connectivity, efficiency and sustainability.Unfortunately, the smart grid is susceptible to malicious cyber attacks, which can create serious technical, economical, social and control problems in power network operations. In contrast to the traditional cyber attack minimization techniques, this paper proposes a recursive systematic convolutional(RSC) code and Kalman filter(KF) based method in the context of smart grids.Specifically, the proposed RSC code is used to add redundancy in the microgrid states, and the log maximum a-posterior is used to recover the state information, which is affected by random noises and cyber attacks. Once the estimated states are obtained by KF algorithm, a semidefinite programming based optimal feedback controller is proposed to regulate the system states, so that the power system can operate properly. Test results show that the proposed approach can accurately mitigate the cyber attacks and properly estimate and control the system states. 展开更多

The resiliency of a standalone microgrid is of considerable issue because the available regulation measures and capabilities are limited.Given this background,this paper presented a new mathematical model for a detailed photovoltaic(PV)module and the application of new control techniques for efficient energy extraction.The PV module employs a single-stage conversion method to integrate it with the utility grid.For extraction the maximum power from PV and integrate it to power grid,a three-phase voltage source converter is used.For obtaining the maximum power at a particular irradiance a maximum power point tracking(MPPT)scheme is used.The fuzzy logic control and adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system are proposed for direct current(DC)link voltage control.The proposed model and control scheme are validated through a comparison with the standard power-voltage and current-voltage charts for a PV module.Simulation results demonstrate that the system stability can be maintained with the power grid and in the island mode,in contrast with the MPPT. 展开更多

The brushless doubly-fed wind power system based on conventional power control strategies lacks ‘inertia’ and the ability to support grid,which leads to the decline of grid stability.Therefore,a control strategy of brushless doubly-fed reluctance generator(BDFRG) based on virtual synchronous generator(VSG) control is proposed to solve the problem in this paper.The output characteristics of BDFRG based on VSG are similar to a synchronous generator(SG),which can support the grid frequency and increase the system ‘inertia’.According to the mathematical model of BDFRG,the inner loop voltage source control of BDFRG is derived.In addition,the specific structure and parameter selection principle of outer loop VSG control are expounded.The voltage source control inner loop of BDFRG is combined with the VSG control outer loop to establish the overall architecture of BDFRG-VSG control strategy.Finally,the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed strategy are verified in the simulation. 展开更多

把LCL滤波器作为电压源型并网逆变器与电网的接口已受到广泛关注。与单电感L滤波器相比,利用电感值较小的LCL滤波器对入网电流的高次谐波具有显著的衰减效果,特别是在低开关频率的大功率并网逆变系统应用中更具明显优势,但是仅采用... 把LCL滤波器作为电压源型并网逆变器与电网的接口已受到广泛关注。与单电感L滤波器相比,利用电感值较小的LCL滤波器对入网电流的高次谐波具有显著的衰减效果,特别是在低开关频率的大功率并网逆变系统应用中更具明显优势,但是仅采用直接入网电流控制时,LCL滤波器接口的并网逆变器系统存在稳定性问题。该文采用电网侧电感电流和逆变侧电感电流双闭环控制策略对并网电流进行直接控制,电网侧电感电流作为外环更容易抑制并网电流的谐波因素,且可以直接控制入网电流的单位功率因数,采用逆变器侧电感电流作为内环可以增加系统阻尼,从而可抑制系统振荡,增加系统稳定性。对该方案进行系统建模,并深入分析了滤波器参数、控制器参数及系统稳定性之间的精确量化关系。仿真和实验结果表明,该控制策略既可有效抑制入网电流谐振和实现进网电流的高功率因数运行,同时又具有良好的稳态和动态性能。 展开更多

This control solution can achieve decoupling control for active and reactive power and an adjustable power factor. Meanwhile, the grid-connected current can approximately be sinusoidal. The paper presents a successful design and good result of grid voltage feed-forward control strategy with no damping regulator of LCL filter applied in Three-phase Pulse Width Modulation( PWM) rectifier under unbalance grid condition for renewable energy processing. It is demonstrated that the closed-loop current control is decoupled with the grid voltage feed-forward control,and good waveform of grid current with low order harmonics is obtained under unbalance grid condition. This novel strategy is simple and reliable,applied with PI regulator but no resonant controller in α,β two-phase stationary frame. Moreover,the results of experiment and simulation are also illustrated to validate the novel strategy well applied in the closed-loop current control system under unbalanced grid condition. 展开更多

At the same time, energy storage device is added. The inverter of the energy storage device adopts V/f control. In the running state of the islanding because of a certain power failure, it can maintain a constant voltage and frequency. The simulation shows that as the output of the photovoltaic power increases, harmonic rate decreases under the same conditions, and the energy storage device can increase the stability of photovoltaic grid and reduce harmonic contents. This paper presents the design and implementation of an energy management system (EMS) with wavelet transform and fuzzy control for a residential micro-grid. The hybrid system in this paper consists of a wind turbine generator, photovoltaic (PV) panels, an electric vehicle (EV), and a super capacitor (SC), which is able to connect or disconnect to the main grid. The control strategy is responsible for compensating the difference between the generated power by the wind and solar generators and the demanded power by the loads. Wavelet transform decomposes the power difference into a smoothed component and a fast fluctuated component. The command approach used for fuzzy logic rules considers the state of charging (SOC) of EV, renewable production, and the load demand as parameters. Furthermore, the command rules are developed in order to ensure a reliable grid when taking into account the EV battery protection to decide the output power of the EV. The model of the hybrid system is developed in detail under Matlab/Simulink software environment. 展开更多

These constraints are mainly related to power quality in the grid as well as the economical aspects of the project. In this study, we take into account the slow voltage variations and the flicker phenomenon. The models used are based on the development of a set of relations derived from engineering knowledge related to both technical and economical points of view. The maximal penetration level of a fixed speed wind turbine system is determined for a given grid. The power control has been investigated to improve wind turbine system integration. Obtained results show the necessity to adapt technological choices to the requirements of weaker grids. Penetration levels and wind turbine cost may be greatly improved using variable speed systems. 展开更多
