Human Perception of Group Synchronization Error in Remote Learning: Dependencies of Voice and Video Contents in One-Way Communication

This paper examines dependencies of voice and video contents on human perception of group (or inter-destination) synchronization error in remote learning by Quality of Experience (QoE) assessment. In our assessment, we use two videos and three voices (two voices for one video and one voice for the other video). We also investigate influences of silence periods in the voices and temporal relations between the voices and videos (called the tightly-coupled and loosely-coupled contents here). The voices are spoken by a teacher according to the videos. Each subject as a student assesses the group synchronization quality by watching each lecture video and the corresponding explanation voice, and then the subject answers whether he/she perceives the group synchronization error or not. As a result, assessment results illustrate that silence periods mitigate the perception rate of the error, and we can also find that we can more easily perceive the error for tightly-coupled contents than loosely-coupled ones.

Synchronization investigation of the network group constituted by the nearest neighbor networks under inner and outer synchronous couplings

A new synchronization technique of inner and outer couplings is proposed in this work to investigate the synchro- nization of network group. Some Haken-Lorenz lasers with chaos behaviors are taken as the nodes to construct a few nearest neighbor complex networks and those sub-networks are also connected to form a network group. The effective node controllers are designed based on Lyapunov function and the complete synchronization among the sub-networks is realized perfectly under inner and outer couplings. The work is of potential applications in the cooperation output of lasers and the communication network.

Comparison of Three Schemes for Intermediate Data Rate Frame Synchronization

Based on the frame structure of intermediate data rate （IDR） modem for satellite communication, a new method for searching frame synchronization called group frame synchronization is proposed. At the same time, a candidate scheme in the classical frame synchronization and two candidate schemes in the group frame synchronization are presented, and the circuits for each scheme are designed in order to abstract the frame alignment signals from received data. Their implementation complexity and performances are also computed and given. Based on the analysis and performance comparison, a reasonable scheme is chosen and then verified through software simulation and hardware impletentation.

Equivalent comparison and analysis between different nominal frequencies

We analyze the phenomena of phase group synchronization between the different nominal frequency signals and propose a new theory of the equivalent comparison between them. The exact expression of the equivalent comparison is deduced. High resolution frequency measurement and phase comparison can be realized using this theory with the divider. For avoiding the frequency mixing, multiplication and synthesis, the system phase noise is improved and the higher resolution comparison and measurement are achieved between the different nominal frequencies by theory.

Exact Internal Controllability and Synchronization for a Coupled System of Wave Equations

In this paper the exact internal controllability for a coupled system of wave equations with arbitrarily given coupling matrix is established.Based on this result,the exact internal synchronization and the exact internal synchronization by p-groups are successfully considered.
