In view of the environmental and safety risks of hazardous chemical explosions in chemical enterprises, the fault tree analysis was used to establish a fault tree model of hazardous chemical explosions and comprehensively analyze the possibility of the explosions. The 34 basic events that caused hazardous chemical explosions were expounded, and the minimum cut and path sets were obtained. The structure importance of basic events were calculated.According to the minimum path sets, the basic events when the accident does not occur were determined, and combined with the sequence of structure importance, the preventive measures for hazardous chemical explosion accidents were proposed. The fault tree model intuitively clarified the correlation between the direct causes of hazardous chemical explosion accidents, and proposed directions for effectively reducing the probability of hazardous chemical explosion accidents in the chemical industry. 展开更多

INTRODUCTION The general public is exposed to a variety of chemicals, including food additives, contaminants, and pesticides. To protect the public from any health hazards associ ated with these chemicals, toxicities are assessed by national regulatory agencies andat an international level by the World Health Organization (WHO) in conjunctionwith the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The trade situation about China’s export of toy products to the EU was introduced. The recall characteristics of China’s toy products by the EU “Safety Gate” in terms of recall frequency, notified countries, taken measures, and reasons for recall were analyzed in this paper, and the risk factors of human health of unqualified products in terms of chemical hazards were studied in this paper. It is found that phthalate, boron, plumbum and cadmium were the main factors. Assessment of risk for boron in toys was conducted. It is suggested to limit the boron element in Slime: the limit of migration of boron in Slime toys for 3- to 6-year-old children shall be less than 704 mg/kg, and the limitation of migration of boron in Slime toys for 7- to 12-year-old children shall be less than 1268 mg/kg. 展开更多
