Objective: Given the unique cultural background, way of life, and physical environment of the Tibetan Plateau, this study aims to investigate the effects of health education using problem-based learning (PBL) approaches on the knowledge, attitude, practice, and coping skills of women with high-risk pregnancies in this region. Methods: 76 high-risk pregnancy cases were enrolled at Tibet’s Linzhi People’s Hospital between September 2023 and April 2024. 30 patients admitted between September 2023 and December 2023 were selected as the control group and were performed with regular patient education. 46 patients admitted between January 2024 and April 2024 were selected as the observation group and were performed regular patient education with problem-based learning approaches. Two groups’ performance on their health knowledge, attitude, practice and coping skills before and after interventions were evaluated, and patient satisfaction were measured at the end of the study. Results: There was no statistical significance (P P P Conclusions: Health education with problem-based learning approaches is worth promoting as it can help high-risk pregnant women in plateau areas develop better health knowledge, attitude and practice and healthier coping skills. Introduction: The essential problems in providing quality and safety services to patients, rapid changes in health care settings as well as information technology require educational revision. Competency-based curriculum focuses on set of skills that students should achieve. This study reviewed characteristics of competency-based curriculum in psychiatric nursing. Methods: A literature review about a competency-based curriculum in psychiatric mental health nursing was carried out by searching databases including Iran Medex, Iran Doc, and Pub Med with key words such as competency-based education, competency-based curriculum, and competency-based curriculum in psychiatric mental health nursing. No time limitation was considered. Results: Results revealed that over 30 literatures have been done about nursing curriculum, but just several studies were done regarding competency-based curriculum and just a few about competency-based curriculum in psychiatric mental health nursing. Conclusion: Competency-based curriculum development is one of the essential steps to facilitate teaching-learning process. The revision of curriculum may decrease theory-practice gap and pave the way for graduates to have essential competences for their roles. 展开更多

School-age children represent 25% of Yemen’s population and an increased proportion of these children are going to school. Schools provide a good entry point for community malaria prevention and control. Aim: To assess the impact of HE campaign towards malaria prevention and control. Methods: We conducted a community-based trial (pre-post intervention study), in two randomly selected districts (rural and urban) of Taiz governorate. The sample size was calculated using Epi Info version7 to be 1065 pupils from 6th - 8th grades in randomly selected basic schools. Data was collected using questionnaire before and after the intervention (three months apart). χ2 was used to analyze differences. Results: Health education activities in schools were associated with the increased knowledge of malaria symptoms and methods of prevention from 24.5% to be 60.2% among pre and post intervention respectively, with statistically significant difference (p Conclusions and Recommendation: Health education intervention in schools had a positive impact on the knowledge and attitude of pupils. Health education is essential for the control of diseases such as malaria. School-age children represent 25% of Yemen’s population. Schools children can convey the knowledge and skills that they acquire at school to the community, thus increasing general community awareness about malaria. Aim to determine the impact of school-based malaria education intervention on knowledge, attitude and practice of school children towards malaria prevention and control. <strong>Methods: </strong>We conducted a community-based trial, intervention and non-intervention comparison (exposed & non-exposed), in four randomly selected districts (rural and urban) of Taiz governorate. This study was conducted in four districts of Taiz governorate. The study population was 2130 pupils of grade 6, 7, and 8 in primary schools, chosen from four randomly selected districts;two of them were rural and the others urban. Four schools and their pupils (1065 pupils) were chosen for the study and assigned as an intervention group and four schools with their pupils (1065) were chosen for the study and assigned as a non-intervention (1065 pupils). Data were collected using questioner in intervention and non-intervention schools (three months apart). The major intervention activities included lectures about malaria, distribution of educational materials. χ<sup>2</sup> was used to analyze differences. <strong>Results: </strong>Health education activities in schools were associated with the increased knowledge of malaria symptoms and methods of prevention. The mean knowledge of malaria symptoms is higher in the intervention schools 4.4 ± 1.9, compared with 2.1 ± 1.4 in the non-intervention group. With statistically significant difference (P < 0.001), also the positive attitude and practice toward malaria was higher to be (48%) in the intervention group;compared with (35%) in the non-intervention group the difference was statistically significant. The knowledge of mode of malaria transmission was higher in the intervention schools to be (86.2%) compared with (59.1%) in the non-intervention group, with statistically significant deference (P value <0.001). The knowledge of fever as a main malaria symptom was higher to be (90.4%) in the intervention schools compared with (63.6%) in the non-intervention schools with statistically significant deference. <strong>Conclusions and Recommendation: </strong>This study concludes that the health education intervention in primary schools in Taize governorate had a positive impact on the knowledge, attitude and practice of pupils. At least one third of all newly diagnosed cancers could be prevented if lifestyle factors were changed. The University Cancer Center Dresden initiated two programs aiming at cancer awareness and intentions to engage in health-promoting behavior among children and adolescents. Study 1 examined sun protection knowledge of 80 preschool children in a non-randomized design and Study 2 inspected 235 7th grade students’ knowledge of cancer and its behavioral risk-factors as well as intentions on health-promoting behavior using a randomized pre-post design on group-level. Study 1 showed significant improvement of sun protection knowledge in preschool children (p 0.05). Study 2 was effective in increasing knowledge about risk factors for cancer (p 0.001) and in increasing intentions to engage in health-promoting behavior (p 0.001). Communicating health-related behavior in preschools as well as school-based programs targeting multiple cancer-related risk factors are promising tools for primary prevention of cancer. 展开更多

<strong>Aim:</strong> The aim of this study was to explore patients’ preferences for forms of patient education material, including leaflets, podcasts, and videos;that is, to determine what forms of infor... <strong>Aim:</strong> The aim of this study was to explore patients’ preferences for forms of patient education material, including leaflets, podcasts, and videos;that is, to determine what forms of information, besides that provided verbally by healthcare personnel, do patients prefer following visits to hospital? <strong>Methods: </strong>The study was a mixed-methods study, using a survey design with primarily quantitative items but with a qualitative component. A survey was distributed to patients over 18 years between May and July 2020 and 480 patients chose to respond.<strong> Results:</strong> Text-based patient education materials (leaflets), is the form that patients have the most experience with and was preferred by 86.46% of respondents;however, 50.21% and 31.67% of respondents would also like to receive patient education material in video and podcast formats, respectively. Furthermore, several respondents wrote about the need for different forms of patient education material, depending on the subject of the supplementary information. <strong>Conclusion: </strong>This study provides an overview of patient preferences regarding forms of patient education material. The results show that the majority of respondents prefer to use combinations of written, audio, and video material, thus applying and co-constructing a multimodal communication system, from which they select and apply different modes of communication from different sources simultaneously. 展开更多

In this practicum, the program objective is to improve the health of Joseph’s Storehouse food bank recipients’ community in the Blessing Center (New Hope Free Clinic and Joseph’s food bank), Redlands, California. The approach is to implement primary prevention and secondary prevention activity to increase knowledge and skills of the clients and their families of how to prevent and control type 2 diabetes through a wellness program in the clinic. The practicum began January 2015 and ended April 2015. 53 food bank recipients (non-diabetic and diabetic) were recruited. A quasi-experimental study design, pre-test/posttest, was used for the study. The impact of the program targeted diverse audience, high risk ethnic groups, and improved knowledge, awareness, management, and positive behavioral change. The study implication for public health promotion specialists is to narrow venues targeting the most vulnerable populations to promote and reduce type 2 diabetes. 展开更多

目的 检索、总结宫颈癌患者术后性健康教育有关的最佳证据,为更好地对临床宫颈癌患者提供性健康和功能障碍方面的宣教奠定基础。方法 以“6S”金字塔为模型,使用计算机检索BMJ Best Practice、Up To Date、国际指南协作网、美国国立指... 目的 检索、总结宫颈癌患者术后性健康教育有关的最佳证据,为更好地对临床宫颈癌患者提供性健康和功能障碍方面的宣教奠定基础。方法 以“6S”金字塔为模型,使用计算机检索BMJ Best Practice、Up To Date、国际指南协作网、美国国立指南库、英国国家临床医学研究所指南库、苏格兰学院间指南网等关于宫颈癌患者性健康教育相关的指南(检索时限为建库至2022年9月20日),并检索了性专业网站及肿瘤相关网站。根据纳入标准遴选文献,由2名研究者背对背对纳入文献进行质量评价和证据提取。结果 本研究最终共纳入5篇指南,形成的证据包括5个方面(分别为评估问询、相关症状、性心理、阴道扩张和用药指导)共20条证据。结论 宫颈癌患者术后性健康教育的最佳证据总结,有助于指导医护人员以更科学的方式对宫颈癌患者进行健康宣教,从而改善患者的生活质量和心理幸福感。 展开更多

目的:探究情绪引导联合反馈式健康教育在口腔癌(OC)患者中的应用效果。方法:选择于2022年6月至2023年6月至某院进行OC治疗的患者120例,随机分为对照组(采用反馈式健康教育进行干预)、观察组(采用情绪引导联合反馈式健康教育)各60例,比... 目的:探究情绪引导联合反馈式健康教育在口腔癌(OC)患者中的应用效果。方法:选择于2022年6月至2023年6月至某院进行OC治疗的患者120例,随机分为对照组(采用反馈式健康教育进行干预)、观察组(采用情绪引导联合反馈式健康教育)各60例,比较两组患者的负性情绪、心理韧性、自护能力和口腔清洁度。结果:两组干预后焦虑自评量表(SAS)和抑郁自评量表(SDS)评分均降低,且观察组明显更低(SAS:t=10.538,P<0.05;SDS:t=7.081,P<0.05);两组心理弹性量表(CD-RISC)各项分值干预后均升高,且观察组明显更高(乐观:t=5.784,P<0.05;自强:t=7.136,P<0.05;坚韧:t=8.663,P<0.05);两组干预后的自我护理能力量表(ESCA)评分均有提升,且观察组明显更高(t=18.690,P<0.05);两组干预后口腔清洁度Ⅰ度患者均减少,Ⅱ度、Ⅲ度均增加,且观察组的Ⅰ度患者明显少于对照组,Ⅲ度患者明显更多(Ⅰ度:t=9.219,P=0.002;Ⅱ度:t=0.000,P=1.000;Ⅲ度:t=4.089,P=0.043)。结论:情绪引导联合反馈式健康教育能够有效增强OC患者的心理韧性,提高患者的口腔清洁度。 展开更多

目的探讨循证理念支持下多维可视化健康教育对剖宫产初产妇母乳喂养认知度及成功率的影响。方法选取2021年6月至2022年12月期间于郑州大学第五附属医院产科进行剖宫产手术的120例初产产妇作为研究对象,根据所行护理时间不同,将2021年6月... 目的探讨循证理念支持下多维可视化健康教育对剖宫产初产妇母乳喂养认知度及成功率的影响。方法选取2021年6月至2022年12月期间于郑州大学第五附属医院产科进行剖宫产手术的120例初产产妇作为研究对象,根据所行护理时间不同,将2021年6月至2022年4月期间予以剖宫产术后常规干预的60例产妇纳为对照组,将2021年4月至2022年12月期间予以循证理念支持下多维可视化健康教育干预的60例产妇纳为循证组,两组均干预至出院。比较两组产妇喂养认知度、术后24 h以内喂养成功率、产后泌乳始动时间、喂养意愿以及护理满意度。结果干预后,循证组医院自制母乳喂养知识问卷总分、术后24 h以内喂养成功率均高于对照组(P<0.05),产后泌乳始动时间短于对照组(P<0.05);循证组母乳喂养动机量表下各维度评分、中文版母乳喂养自我效能简式量表评分均高于对照组(P<0.05);循证组护理满意度量表下各维度评分及总分均高于对照组(P<0.05)。结论循证理念支持下多维可视化健康教育可明显提升剖宫产初产妇母乳喂养认知度与喂养成功率,缩短产后泌乳始动时间,提高产妇喂养意愿和护理满意度。 展开更多

脑卒中后抑郁的循证护理干预效果观察

目的探讨循证护理干预在预防和管理脑卒中后抑郁(PSD)中的应用效果。方法于2022年1月1日—6月30日在临床试点病房开展循证护理实践,共分为现状审查、证据引入和证据应用后的效果评价3个阶段。分别选取2022年1月1日—2月28日和2022年5月... 目的探讨循证护理干预在预防和管理脑卒中后抑郁(PSD)中的应用效果。方法于2022年1月1日—6月30日在临床试点病房开展循证护理实践,共分为现状审查、证据引入和证据应用后的效果评价3个阶段。分别选取2022年1月1日—2月28日和2022年5月1日—6月30日住院的脑卒中患者为研究对象。采用汉密尔顿抑郁量表(HAMD)评估患者抑郁状态,对比证据应用前和应用后PSD发生率。评估循证护理实践前后护士PSD知识得分和循证能力。结果培训前14名护士PSD知识得分(62.50±7.53)分,培训后提高到(86.07±5.26)分,差异有统计学意义(t=-13.926,P<0.01)。培训后,护士证据生成、证据汇总、证据传播与评估和证据应用等循证能力得分均得到提升,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。循证证据应用前87例脑卒中患者中共有32例(36.78%)发生PSD;循证证据应用后75例脑卒中患者中共有17(22.67%)例发生PSD,证据应用后PSD发生率较应用前降低,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论PSD预防及管理的循证护理实践应用于临床试点病房后,有效降低了患者PSD的发生率,规范了临床护士PSD预防及管理行为和护理流程,提升护士PSD相关知识水平,提高临床护理质量。 展开更多
