PERIODIC SYSTEMS WITH TIME DEPENDENT MAXIMAL MONOTONE OPERATORS

We consider a first order periodic system in R^(N),involving a time dependent maximal monotone operator which need not have a full domain and a multivalued perturbation.We prove the existence theorems for both the convex and nonconvex problems.We also show the existence of extremal periodic solutions and provide a strong relaxation theorem.Finally,we provide an application to nonlinear periodic control systems.

Iterative Solution for Systems of Binary Non-mixed Monotone Operator Equations

With using the cone and partial ordering t heory and mixed monotone operator theory, the existence and uniqueness for solut ion of systems of non-monotone binary nonliear operator equations are discussed. And the iterative sequences which converge to solution of systems of operator e quations and the error estimates are also given. Some corresponding results for the mixed monotone operations and the unary operator equations are improved and generalized.

ON THE EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS THEOREMS OF SOLUTIONS FOR THE SYSTEMS OF MIXED MONOTONE OPERATOR EQUATIONS WITH APPLICATIONS

The existence, uniqueness and non-symmetric iterative approximation of solutions for a class of systems of mixed monotone operator equations are discussed. As an application, we utilize, the results presented in this paper to study the existence and uniqueness problems of common solutions for a class of systems of functional equations arising in dynamic programming of multistage decision processes and a class of systems of nonlinear integral equation. The results obtained in this paper not only answer an open question suggested in [3] but also generalize the corresponding results of [1],[2].

Iterative convergence theorems for maximal monotone operators and relatively nonexpansive mappings

In this paper, some iterative schemes for approximating the common element of the set of zero points of maximal monotone operators and the set of fixed points of relatively nonexpansive mappings in a real uniformly smooth and uniformly convex Banach space are proposed. Some strong convergence theorems are obtained, to extend the previous work.

Fixed Point Theorems of Mixed Monotone Operators with Applications

In this paper,we get fixed point theorems of mixed monotone operators in much weaker condition and give some applications for nonmonotone operators and differential equations.

New iterative schemes for strongly relatively nonexpansive mappings and maximal monotone operators

In this paper, some new iterative schemes for approximating the common element of the set of fixed points of strongly relatively nonexpansive mappings and the set of zero points of maximal monotone operators in a real uniformly smooth and uniformly convex Banach space are proposed. Some weak convergence theorems are obtained, which extend and complement some previous work.

MODIFIED APPROXIMATE PROXIMAL POINT ALGORITHMS FOR FINDING ROOTS OF MAXIMAL MONOTONE OPERATORS

In order to find roots of maximal monotone operators, this paper introduces and studies the modified approximate proximal point algorithm with an error sequence {e k} such that || ek || \leqslant hk || xk - [(x)\tilde]k ||\left\| { e^k } \right\| \leqslant \eta _k \left\| { x^k - \tilde x^k } \right\| with ?k = 0￥ ( hk - 1 ) < + ￥\sum\limits_{k = 0}^\infty {\left( {\eta _k - 1} \right)} and infk \geqslant 0 hk = m\geqslant 1\mathop {\inf }\limits_{k \geqslant 0} \eta _k = \mu \geqslant 1 . Here, the restrictions on {η k} are very different from the ones on {η k}, given by He et al (Science in China Ser. A, 2002, 32 (11): 1026–1032.) that supk \geqslant 0 hk = v < 1\mathop {\sup }\limits_{k \geqslant 0} \eta _k = v . Moreover, the characteristic conditions of the convergence of the modified approximate proximal point algorithm are presented by virtue of the new technique very different from the ones given by He et al.

Existence and Uniqueness of Fixed Points for Mixed Monotone Operators with Application

In this paper, a class of mixed monotone operators is studied. Some new fixed point theorems are presented by means of partial order theory, and the uniqueness and existence of fixed points are obtained without assuming the operator to be compact or continuous. Our conclusions extend the relevant results. Moreover,as an application of our result, the existence and uniqueness of positive solution for a class of fractional differential equation boundary value problem are proved.

New Fixed Point Theorems of Mixed Monotone Operators

Mixed monotone operator is an important nonlinear operator. It exists extensively in the research of nonlinear differential and integral equations. Generally, the research of mixed monotone operators in partially ordered Banach spaces requires compactness, continuity or concavity-convexity of the operators. In this paper, without any compact and continuous assumption, we obtain some new existence and uniqueness theorems of positive fixed point of e-concave-convex mixed monotone operators in Banach spaces partially ordered by a cone, which extends the existing corresponding results.

REITERATED HOMOGENIZATION OF NONLINEAR MONOTONE OPERATORS

In this paper, the authors study reiterated homogenization of nonlinear equations of the form --div(a(x, x/ε x/ε, Duε) = f, where a is periodic in the first two arguments and monotone in the third. It is proved that ue converges weakly in W1,P(Ω) (and even in some multiscale sense), as ε→ 0 to the solution uo of a limit problem. Moreover, an explicit expression for the limit problem is given. The main results were also stated in [15]. This article presents the complete proofs of these results.

AN ITERATIVE ALGORITHM FOR MAXIMAL MONOTONE MULTIVALUED OPERATOR EQUATIONS

A proximal iterative algorithm for the mulitivalue operator equation 0 ∈ T(x) is presented, where T is a maximal monotone operator. It is an improvement of the proximal point algorithm as well know. The convergence of the algorithm is discussed and all example is given.

Projection Scheme for Zero Points of Maximal Monotone Operators in Banach Spaces

A new projection scheme with errors for zero points of maximal monotone operators is introduced and is proved to be strongly convergent to zero points of maximal monotone operators in Banach space by using the techniques of Lyapunov functional and generalized projection operator, etc.

A new approximate proximal point algorithm for maximal monotone operator

The problem concerned in this paper is the set-valued equation 0 ∈ T(z) where T is a maximal monotone operator. For given xk and βk >: 0, some existing approximate proximal point algorithms take $x^{k + 1} = \tilde x^k $ such that $$x^k + e^k \in \tilde x^k + \beta _k T(\tilde x^k ) and \left\| {e^k } \right\| \leqslant \eta _k \left\| {x^k - \tilde x^k } \right\|,$$ where ?k is a non-negative summable sequence. Instead of $x^{k + 1} = \tilde x^k $ , the new iterate of the proposing method is given by $$x^{k + 1} = P_\Omega [\tilde x^k - e^k ],$$ where Ω is the domain of T and PΩ(·) denotes the projection on Ω. The convergence is proved under a significantly relaxed restriction supK>0 ηKη1.

Iterative Solutions for a Non-monotone BinaryOperator Equations and Operator System of Equations

By using the theory of the cone and partial ordering. It is studied that the existence and uniqueness of solutions for a non-monotone binary operator equation A(x, x)= x and operator system of equations A(x,x)=x,B(x,x)=x in Banach spaces. Where A and B can be decomposed A=A1+A2, B=B1+B2,A1 and B1 are mixed monotone, A2 and B2 are anti-mixed monotone. The results presented here improve and generalize some corresponding results of mixed monotone operator equations.

The Iterative Solution for a Class of Monotone Operator Equations

The iterative solution for a class of multivalued monotone operator equations just like A(u)∈-B(u) is discussed, where A is a positive definite linear single valued operator, B is a bounded and monotone multivalued operator. The existence and convergence of approximate solutions are proved. The method of numerical realization is demonstrated in some examples.

New directions in distributed Nash equilibrium seeking based on monotone operator theory

There has been an increasing research interest in modeling,optimization and control of various multi-agent networks that have wide applications in industry,defense,security,and social areas,such as computing clusters,interconnected micro-grid systems,unmanned vessel swarms[1],power systems[2],multiple UAV systems[3]and sensor networks[4].For non-cooperative agents that only concern selfish profit-maximizing,the decision making problem can be modelled and solved with the help of game theory,while Nash equilibrium(NE)seeking is at the core to solve the non-cooperative multi-agent games[5-7].Distributed NE seeking methods are appealing compared with the center-based methods in large-scale networks due to its scalability,privacy protection,and adaptability.Recently,monotone operator theory is explored for distributed NE seeking,which is shown to provide an uniform framework for various algorithms in different scenarios.It has been gradually developing into a cutting-edge research field,with the prospect and necessity of future in-depth research.

Convergence rates of regularized solutions of nonlinear ill-posed operator equations involving monotone operators

The convergence rates of regularized solutions of nonlinear ill-posed operator equations involving monotone operators are investigated, and conditions that guarantee convergence rates like $O(\delta ^{\frac{1}{2}} ),{\bf{ }}O(\delta ^{\frac{2}{3}} )$ and $O(\delta ^{\frac{n}{{n + 1}}} )$ are given, where δ denotes the noise level of the data perturbation.

ITERATIVE APPROXIMATION OF FIXED POINTS FOR MULTIVALUED OPERATORS OF THE MONOTONE TYPE IN UNIFORMLY SMOOTH BANACH SPACES

In this paper, let K be a nonempty subset of a uniformly smooth Banach space X, and T:K→2~k be a multivalued operator of the monotone type. The iterative sequence which converges strongly to the unique fixed point of T is given. Our results are the extension and improvements of the results obtained previously by several authors including Dunn, Chidume, Deng and Ding.

APPROXIMATING SOLUTION OF 0 ∈T(x) FOR AN H-MONOTONE OPERATOR IN HILBERT SPACES

The purpose of this paper is to study the solution of 0∈ T（x） for an H- monotone operator introduced in [Fang and Huang, Appl. Math. Comput. 145（2003）795- 803] in Hilbert spaces, which is the first proposal of it＇s kind. Some strong and weak convergence results are presented and the relations between maximal monotone operators and H-monotone operators are analyzed. Simultaneously, we apply these results to the minimization problem for T = δf and provide some numerical examples to support the theoretical findings.

System of set-valued mixed quasi-variational-like inclusions involving H-η-monotone operators in Banach spaces

A new system of the set-valued mixed quasi-variational-like inclusions （SSMQVLI） involving H-η-monotone operators is studied in general Banach spaces without uniform smoothness. By using the resolvent operator technique of H-η-monotone operators, a new iterative algorithm for finding approximate solutions to SSMQVLI is proposed. It is shown that the iterative sequences generated by the algorithm converge strongly to the exact solution of SSMQVLI under appropriate assumptions. These obtained new results have extended and improved previous results.
