This manuscript explores the case on the occurrence of uterine artery pseudoaneurysm(UAP)during hysteroscopy endometrial polypectomy and the subsequent successful treatment via uterine artery embolization(UAE).Moreover,we focus on the management and treatment options for UAP in patients of advanced maternal age.A pseudoaneurysm is an extraluminal blood collection with a disrupted flow that communicates with the parent vessel via a defect in the arterial wall. The reported case involved a 48-year-old primiparous woman who developed a UAP after uterine polyp removal. The study enhances the understanding of UAP,a rare but potentially life-threatening condition,by providing a detailed and well-documented account of the comprehensive case presentation, effective use of medical imaging techniques for diagnosis, successful postoperative patient management following UAE,and practical clinical recommendations for clinicians managing similar cases.Overall, this study highlights the importance of considering UAP as a differential diagnosis in patients with abnormal vaginal bleeding following hysteroscopic surgery.Additionally, this manuscript recommends that clinicians with a high index of suspicion for UAP promptly request ultrasonography and computed tomography to facilitate early diagnosis.UAE is suggested as a primary treatment due to its effectiveness and safety, particularly in facilities capable of avoiding hysterectomy. 展开更多

The transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS) is an acceptable procedure that has proven benefits in the treatment of patients who have complications from portal hypertension due to liver cirrhosis.Delayed liver laceration is a rare complication of the TIPS procedure. We describe a patient with portal hypertension due to liver cirrhosis, who suddenly presented with abdominal hemorrhage and liver laceration 8 d after TIPS.Few reports have described complications after TIPS placement. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report describing delayed liver laceration. This potential and serious complication appears to be specific and fatal for TIPS in portal hypertension. We advocate careful attention to the technique to avoid this complication, and timely treatment is extremely important. 展开更多

ChanLe Chongji (ChanLe dissolvable granule preparation) is a mixed Chinese traditional medicine composed of Prunus persica Batsch, Carthamus tinctorius, Angelica sinensis Diels, Typha angustifolia Bory. et Chaub., Prunus mume Sieb. et Zucc., etc. which could clear fever and remove blood stasis. The bleeding days in vagina after abortion by drug and the complete abortion rate were observed. 100 cases were selected randomly from the treated group and the control group respectively. The results showed that the mean bleeding period in the treated group was 8.4 days, while 13.3 days in the control. Although the mean complete abortion rate had no distinct difference between these two groups, the absolute level was higher in the treated group. The results of animal experiments showed that ChanLe Chongji could increase the contraction of uterus, stop bleeding, resist bacteria and diminish inflammation, thus providing its potentiality for clinical application. 展开更多

Abstract Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of hypertonic saline (HS) and hypertonic saline with taurine (HST) hemorrhagic shock and hemorrhagic shock with hypernatremia rats. Methods Hypernatremic dehydration and hemorrhagic shock models were produced by Trachtma's and Krausz's methods in Sprague Dawley rats. Hemorrhagic changes of mean arterial blood pressure (MABP), left ventricular end diastolic pressure (LVEDP), ±dp/dtmax and heart rate (HR) were registered on polygraph. Plasma Na +, urea lactate and taurine content were assayed. Results After treatment with HS, the hemodynamic changes of hemorrhagic shock rats were significantly alleviated, and tissue fluid redistributed. When the hemorrhagic shock animals were treated with HS containing taurine (HST), in comparison with HS treatment, the hemodynamic improvement and hemodilution were more obvious. When the hemorrhagic animals complicated with hypernatremia were treated with HS, the symptoms of dehydration and shock further deteriorated, when the hemorrhage with hypernatremia animals were treated with an infusion of HST, the symptoms of dehydration and shock were significantly ameliorated. Conclusion The therapeutic effect of HS with taurine is obviously better than HS alone. So when hemorrhagic shock was complicated with hypernatremia, HS with taurine is recommended in stead of HS alone. 展开更多

Objective: To discuss the therapeutic method of apoplectic patients with language disorders. Methods: Sixty cases of apoplexy were classified into electroacupuncture group of 30 cases and acupuncture group of 30 cases. In electroacupuncture group, acupoints Lianquan (CV 23), Tongli (HT 5) and lower 2/5 part of motor area and sensory area were selected. In acupunc -ture group, acupoints Lianquan (CV 23) and Tongli (HT 5) were selected. Results and conclusions: After 2 courses of treatment, the total effective rate in electroacu -puncture group was 93.3% and that in acupuncture group was 76.6%. There was a significant difference in the therapeutic effect between the two groups (P<0.05). 展开更多

In this research, X-ray photograph and kinescope were applied to observe the whole process of barium swallowing statically and dynamically before and after acupuncture treatment by the radiography of the upper alimentary tract (RART). The observation was made on the objective changes about the functional renovation of contractor muscle of pharynx and epiglottis muscle. Among 36 cases, function of speaking basically recovered in 3 cases, function of swallowing 16 cases, function of expectorating sputum 15 c ases, and for function of water drinking 13 cases. The total effective rate: 75.0% for function of speaking, 97.2% for function of swallowing, 75.0% for function of expectorating sputum, 97.2% for function of water drinking. 展开更多
