Shougang Group has carried out a strategic structure adjustment in order to realize the promise of Chinese people to the Olympic Games.Automotive sheets are chosen as a type of strategic product and an engine to upgrade enterprise management,technology and operation to reach the top international level during the transition from long products to steel sheets in Shougang Group.Since 2006,Shougang Group has made an elaborate preparation on steel sheet culture,production line construction,technology import,pilot plant and talent reserve.It lays the foundation for the development of automotive sheets.The developing history of cold rolled automotive sheets is reviewed and the research and development of cold rolled automotive sheets, tackling key problem of defect on surface and the latest progress of automotive sheets construction are described in this paper.The main contents were given as follows:①The products of automotive sheets realize zero breakthrough in Shougang Group.Monthly output was 300 ton in January,2009 and it increased to 48 000 ton in June,2010.The ratio of IF steel sheets increases to 70%from 40%.The proportion of outside panel in automotive sheets occupys more than 15%.②A high emulational pilot plant is used as a product developing platform to develop successfully automotive sheets with 1 000 MPa and below.It guarantees that the industrial development of DP and TRIP sheets gets success at a time.It covers continuous annealing sheets with tensile strength≤780 MPa and galvanizing sheets with tensile strength≤590 MPa.③Individual design is used to meet special requirement of customer.Shougang owns 23 inner brands of LCAK and IF steels.It insures that the grades of yield strength cover whole range from 120 to 270 MPa.It keeps the stabilization of steel performance by means of chemical composition control and high accuracy rolling technology.For example,the strength of soft steel fluctuates within±15 MPa.④The steel sheets with surface grade O5 are produced steadily by solving forming striation of IF steel,grain coarse on surface,edge curling skin and mountains - and - waters painting defects.⑤The safeguard mechanism on quality of products is improved steadily and the output of automotive sheets and outside panel increases greatly by building consistency quality management system、information - system and customer service system. 展开更多

Powdering/exfoliating of coatings and scratching galvanized steels and high strength steels (HSS), are the main forms of surface damage in the forming of which result in increased die maintenance cost and scrap rate. In this study, a special rectangular box was developed to investigate the behavior and characteristics of surface damage in sheet metal forming (SMF) processes. U-channel forming tests were conducted to study the effect of tool hardness on surface damage in the forming of high strength steels and galvanized steels (hot-dip galvanized and galvannealed steels). Experimental results indicate that sheet deformation mode influences the severity of surface damage in SMF and surface damage occurs easily at the regions where sheet specimen deforms under the action of compressive stress. Die corner is the position where surface damage initiates. For HSS sheet, surface damage is of major interest due to high forming pressure. The HSS and hot-dip galvanized steels show improved ability of damage-resistance with increased hardness of the forming tool. However, for galvannealed steel it is not the forming tool with the highest hardness value that performs best. 展开更多

This study researches cold rolled ultra high strength martensitic steel processed by water quenching. It is found that both the quenching and overageing temperatures greatly influence the mechanical properties of martensitic steel. A tensile strength of 1500 MPa can be obtained from 0.2% C-1.8% Mn steel by soaking at 840℃,quenching at 700℃ and overageing at 200℃ for several minutes. The continuous cooling transformation (CCT) diagram reveals that full martensite can be obtained at a cooling rate of 100℃/s or higher; and at a cooling rate of 3 - 10℃/s,austenite barely decomposes at 700℃. For steel with 0.2% carbon and less manganese, austenite decomposition occurs before it is cooled to 700℃ at a cooling rate of 3 - 10℃/s, which leads to lower tensile strength. It is possible to reduce the manganese content of the 1500 MPa martensitic steel by increasing the quenching temperature. To increase the quenching temperature,the control of flatness during water quenching becomes a major concern. 展开更多

The mechanical properties dependence on the microstructure was reviewed and analyzed,and the ultrafine grained duplex microstructure of BCC matrix and large fractioned austenite was given as one of the optimum structures to develop the third generation steel with high strength and high ductility.The medium-Mn steels with different carbon contents processed by austenite reverted transformation(ART-annealing) were studied thoroughly to fabricate the ultrafine duplex steels with large fractioned austenite.The lamellar typed ultrafine structure,the granular typed ultrafine duplex structure and the corresponding mechanical properties of the medium-Mn steels processed by ART-annealing were demonstrated in this paper.It was revealed that the duplex structure with large fraction of austenite and ultrafine grain structure is capable of producing steels with excellent combination of strength and ductility,i.e.,Rm A about 30-50 GPa%,which is about two times of that of the conventional automobile steels and close to that of the TWIP steels.It was concluded that the ART-annealing of the medium-Mn steels would be at least one of the promising ways to fabricate the third generation automobile steels in the near future. 展开更多

Tensile mechanical properties of 1.6Si-1.58Mn-0.195C TRIP (transformation-induced plasticity) steels under high strain rate and effects of DP (dual-phase) treatments were studied and compared to the quasi-static tensile behavior. The results show that the increasing of strain rate leads to increasing in their strengths and decreasing in the uniform elongation remarkably. Because the stable retained austenite in TRIP steel can transform to martensite during tensile testing and the material exhibits excellent characteristic of transformation induced plasticity, the plastic deformation behavior is evidently improved and the combination of strength and elongation is superior to that of dual-phase steel, although its strength is smaller than that of DP steel. However, DP treated steel shown lower elongation under dynamic tension in spite of higher strength. A model was proposed to explain the excellent elongation rate of TRIP steel compared with DP steel on the basis of SEM analysis and the strength of the components in microstructure. 展开更多

The use of ultra-high strength steels through sheet metal forming process offers a practical solution to the lightweight design of vehicles.However,sheet metal forming process not only produces desirable changes in material properties but also causes material damage that may adversely influence the service performance of the material formed.Thus,an investigation is conducted to experimentally quantify such influence for a commonly used steel(the 22MnB5 steel) based on the hot and cold forming processes.For each process,a number of samples are used to conduct a uniaxial tensile test to simulate the forming process.After that,some of the samples are trimmed into a standard shape and then uniaxially extended until fracture to simulate the service stage.Finally,a microstructure test is conducted to analyze the microdefects of the remaining samples.Based on the results of the first two tests,the effect of material damage on the service performance of 22MnB5 steel is analyzed.It is found that the material damages of both the hot and cold forming processes cause reductions in the service performance,such as the failure strain,the ultimate stress,the capacity of energy absorption and the ratio of residual strain.The reductions are generally lower and non-linear in the former process but higher and linear in the latter process.Additionally,it is found from the microstructure analysis that the difference in the reductions of the service performance of 22MnB5 by the two forming processes is driven by the difference in the micro damage mechanisms of the two processes.The findings of this research provide a useful reference in terms of the selection of sheet metal forming processes and the determination of forming parameters for 22MnB5. 展开更多

Three different types of tensile strength (TS) 980 MPa grade advanced high-strength steels used in automotive applications, namely, 980MS ( martensite steel ), 980DP ( dual phase ) and 980QP ( quenching and partitioning) steels were examined. The delayed fracture resistance of the steels was evaluated using a U-bend test, slow strain rate test(SSRT) and a constant load tensile test. The results indicated that all the steels could pass the 300 h HC1 solution immersion test and none of the U-bend specimens was fractured in the test. However,the steels exhibited different susceptibilities to delayed fracture under SSRT and the constant load tensile tests. 980DP exhibited the highest resistance to delayed fracture among all the samples, while 980MS was found to be the most susceptible to delayed fracture. 展开更多

为研究激光螺旋点焊的断裂行为和断口特征,以期为高性能激光点焊的应用提供理论支持。采用振镜搭载机器人的激光螺旋焊接系统对1 mm厚汽车用高强钢进行焊接,设计了一种类阿基米德螺旋线扫描路径以使焊点热输入均匀分布,并对焊接接头的... 为研究激光螺旋点焊的断裂行为和断口特征,以期为高性能激光点焊的应用提供理论支持。采用振镜搭载机器人的激光螺旋焊接系统对1 mm厚汽车用高强钢进行焊接,设计了一种类阿基米德螺旋线扫描路径以使焊点热输入均匀分布,并对焊接接头的断裂行为进行分析。研究发现,在拉剪力的作用下,激光螺旋点焊主要发生的断裂失效形式为单面焊点撕出断裂和双面焊点撕出断裂,裂纹的萌生及扩展均是沿着熔合区和热影响区交界处。粗晶热影响的大角度晶界比例相对较少,为18.69%,KAM均值最大为0.65,存在的应力应变相对较大,使得裂纹更倾向于在粗晶热影响区萌生和扩展。 展开更多

针对汽车轻量化发展需求,河钢集团邯钢公司成功研制出1000 MPa级高强贝氏体钢。本文考察了退火模拟实验中各关键工艺参数对实验钢性能的影响,根据退火规律制定工艺方案,并应用于工业化生产。结果表明,贝氏体含量随着快冷完结温度升高而... 针对汽车轻量化发展需求,河钢集团邯钢公司成功研制出1000 MPa级高强贝氏体钢。本文考察了退火模拟实验中各关键工艺参数对实验钢性能的影响,根据退火规律制定工艺方案,并应用于工业化生产。结果表明,贝氏体含量随着快冷完结温度升高而逐渐增多;当快冷完结温度为400℃时,实验钢的强度随均热温度和缓慢冷却完结温度的降低而减小。通过工业试制成功开发出屈强比大于0.8的1000 MPa级贝氏体钢,其成形极限实验结果表明,在单向拉伸情况下,此材料最大主应变和最大次应变分别为0.29和-0.07,其成形极限危险点(FLD_(0))的应变值为0.13;在等双向胀形情况下,主次应变为0.36。 展开更多

采用OM和拉伸试验机等仪器分析了490 MPa级汽车外板用高强钢组织与性能,并利用仿真模拟技术对试验钢的应用性能进行了研究。结果表明,模拟退火处理后试验钢的显微组织主要为铁素体与岛状马氏体的混合组织,还有少量碳化物在晶界处分布;应... 采用OM和拉伸试验机等仪器分析了490 MPa级汽车外板用高强钢组织与性能,并利用仿真模拟技术对试验钢的应用性能进行了研究。结果表明,模拟退火处理后试验钢的显微组织主要为铁素体与岛状马氏体的混合组织,还有少量碳化物在晶界处分布;应力-应变曲线未出现明显的屈服平台,屈服强度与抗拉强度分别达到300 MPa和550 MPa以上,在2%预应变下BH(bake hardening)值在60 MPa以上。结合试验钢材料特性,以某车型后车门外板为研究对象,通过仿真技术研究了490 MPa级高强钢抗凹性能及应用到车门外板的抗凹性,结果显示零件高强减薄后抗凹刚度下降,但抗凹性得到一定提升,满足外板抗凹性能的要求。490 MPa高强钢的组织和力学性能满足汽车外板应用需求,连续硬化的应力-应变曲线可以避免产生拉伸应变痕,证明490 MPa高强钢具备应用于汽车外板的可行性。 展开更多

目的针对汽车高强钢SG1000焊接接头恶化等问题,研究了SG1000激光复合焊接的力学性能。方法选用等强匹配焊丝MG90-G对高强钢SG1000进行激光复合焊接,对焊接接头进行拉伸和低温冲击韧性试验,并结合扫描和硬度监测等手段对焊缝组织和断口... 目的针对汽车高强钢SG1000焊接接头恶化等问题,研究了SG1000激光复合焊接的力学性能。方法选用等强匹配焊丝MG90-G对高强钢SG1000进行激光复合焊接,对焊接接头进行拉伸和低温冲击韧性试验,并结合扫描和硬度监测等手段对焊缝组织和断口形貌进行分析。结果由于激光的预热作用,高强钢SG1000激光复合焊接成形件的焊缝美观,焊接过程稳定可靠,焊接熔池深度较大,有效改善了传统焊接的咬边、飞溅、气孔等缺陷。焊缝组织主要由板条马氏体和奥氏体晶粒组成,热影响区的过热区内部板条马氏体和奥氏体晶粒比较粗大,而焊接母材主要为细小的板条马氏体和奥氏体晶粒。焊接拉伸断口主要为细小且较浅的韧窝,且韧窝底部存在第二相粒子及夹杂物,焊接拉伸断口断裂于热影响区且微观形貌为韧性断裂;冲击微观形貌主要由准解理小平面及河流花样组成,且存在一定数量大小不一的韧窝交错分布,焊接冲击断口断裂于热影响区且微观形貌也为韧性断裂。结论焊缝热影响区的晶粒比非热影响区的晶粒粗大,拉伸和冲击断裂均发生于热影响区;随着激光功率的增大,复合焊接接头的力学性能呈现逐渐增强的趋势;随着焊接速度的增大,复合焊接接头的力学性能呈现先增强后削弱的趋势。高强钢SG1000激光复合焊接最佳工艺参数如下:激光功率为9.5 kW,焊接速度为0.8 m/min,对应屈服强度为1072 MPa,抗拉强度为1175MPa,断裂伸长率为13.5%,冲击断裂吸收的能量为30.8J、焊缝中心显微硬度为342HV。 展开更多

为了满足未来新一代汽车工业发展的需求,开发了大量的新钢铁材料,如超高强钢(AHSS)、高强钢(HSS)、双相钢(DP钢)、TRIP钢,TWIP钢等。介绍了这些钢铁材料,给出并分析了它们的成分、结构、工艺、性能和特点。
