In its reservoir division and correlation, the isochronous problem is very important. Taking the oil formation I of Es3 in Wuhaozhuang oilfield as an example, through the analysis of stratigraphic drilling and logging data in the study area, according to the genetic types of different levels of base level cycle interfaces and the characteristics of high-resolution sequence stratigraphy, this paper subdivides the lacustrine gravity flow oil layer of lower Es3 in Wuhaozhuang Oilfield, divides it into four short-term base level cycle sequences, and establishes the high-resolution isochronous stratigraphic framework of this interval. It is found that the mid-term, short-term and ultra short-term base level cycles correspond to the oil formation, sand layer group and single layer in the oil layer correlation unit of the oilfield respectively. Based on this, the oil layer correlation unit of the interval is divided, and the sublayer correlation model is established according to the identification characteristics of the short-term base level cycle.展开更多

In the eastern part of the North China, the Neoproterozoic consists of Qingbaikou System (1 000-800 Ma) and Sinian System (800-600 Ma). The Qingbaikou System is widely distributed over the whole area and the Sinian System only in the eastern and southern parts of the plate. In this paper, we discuss the age limit of the formations, and try to establish the Neoproterozoic chronostratigraphic frame, the ages of which are partly based on recently obtained carbonate whole rock Pb Pb isotope. Based on the event records of ancient earthquake, which are well developed in Sinian carbonates, “a vibrational liquefaction seismic sequence” in carbonate rocks is established. We propose a time correlation for the Sinian formation in eastern North China, on the bases of event records of earthquake in combination with biostratigraphy, and thus revise the traditional correlation scheme that has been used for nearly 30 years. Some biostratigraphic results were obtained in fossil microplants, megafossils and metazoans in North China. A large amount of big double layered and complex ornamented acritarchs are found in Qingbaikou and Sinian systems. On the basis of the correlation by earthquake events, the Huainan fauna is regarded as Late Sinian, probably between 700 Ma and 600 Ma. Altogether 16 depositional sequences are distinguished in the Neoproterozoic, with an average time interval of about 15-16 Ma.展开更多

In this paper the habitat types offossil biota are applied to semiquantitative palaeobathymetry and the study of relative sea levelchanges.展开更多

The satellite products, including CPC MORPHing technique(CMORPH), TMPA-RT, and PERSIANN are all near-real-time retrieved with high temporal and spatial resolutions. The numerical weather model used in this paper for precipitation forecasting is WRF. The results show that all three satellite products can basically reproduce the rainfall pattern, distribution, timing, scale, and extreme values of the event, compared with gauge data. Their temporal and spatial correlation coefficients with gauge data are as high as about 0.6, which is statistically significant at 0.01 level. The performance of the forecasted results modeled with different spatial resolutions are not as good as the satellite-estimated results, although their correlation coefficients are still statistically significant at 0.05 level. From the total rainfall and extreme value time series for the domain, it is clear that, from the grid-to-grid perspective, the passive microwave-based CMORPH and TRMM products are more accurate than the infrared-based PERSIANN, while PERSIANN performs very well from the general point of view, especially when considering the whole domain or the whole convective precipitation system. The forecasted data — especially the highest resolution model domain data — are able to represent the total or mean precipitation very well in the research domain, while for extreme values the errors are large. This study suggests that satellite-retrieved and model-forecasted rainfall data are a useful complement to gauge data, especially for areas without gauge stations and areas not covered by weather radars.展开更多

Therefore, the following problems can be solved in terms of carbon isotopic values, evolutionary curve patterns and structures of carbonate sequences: (1) to determe the nature of sequence boundary surface and related geological events; (2) to recognize various kinds of sedimentary system tracts; (3) to discuss the internal architicture and genetic framework of the sequences and their evolution; (4) to subdivide and correlate sedimentary sequences on a regional or global scale; and (5) to enhance the resolution of sequence stratigraphic analysis. Stable carbon isotopes have proved themselves to be valid in sequence stratigraphic studies of carbonate rocks, as demonstrated by our results presented in this paper.展开更多
