BACKGROUND Breast cancer(BC)has become the most common malignancy in women.The incidence and detection rates of BC brain metastasis(BCBM)have increased with the progress of imaging,multidisciplinary treatment techniques and the extension of survival time of BC patients.BM seriously affects the quality of life and survival prognosis of BC patients.Therefore,clinical research on the clinicopathological features and prognostic factors of BCBM is valuable.By analyzing the clinicopathological parameters of BCBM patients,and assessing the risk factors and prognostic indicators,we can perform hierarchical diagnosis and treatment on the high-risk population of BCBM,and achieve clinical benefits of early diagnosis and treatment.AIM To explore the clinicopathological features and prognostic factors of BCBM,and provide references for diagnosis,treatment and management of BCBM.METHODS The clinicopathological data of 68 BCBM patients admitted to the Air Force Medical Center,Chinese People’s Liberation Army(formerly Air Force General Hospital)from 2000 to 2022 were collected.Another 136 BC patients without BM were matched at a ratio of 1:2 based on the age and site of onset for retrospective analysis.Categorical data were subjected to χ^(2) test or Fisher’s exact probability test,and the variables with P<0.05 in the univariate Cox proportional hazards model were incorporated into the multivariate model to identify high-risk factors and independent prognostic factors of BCBM,with a hazard ratio(HR)>1 suggesting poor prognostic factors.The survival time of patients was estimated by the Kaplan-Meier method,and overall survival was compared between groups by log-rank test.RESULTS Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that patients with stage Ⅲ/Ⅳ tumor at initial diagnosis[HR:5.58,95% confidence interval(CI):1.99–15.68],lung metastasis(HR:24.18,95%CI:6.40-91.43),human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-overexpressing BC and triple-negative BC were more prone to BM.As can be seen from the prognostic data,52 of the 68 BCBM patients had died by the end of follow-up,and the median time from diagnosis of BC to the occurrence of BM and from the occurrence of BM to death or last follow-up was 33.5 and 14 mo,respectively.It was confirmed by multivariate Cox regression analysis that patients with neurological symptoms(HR:1.923,95%CI:1.005-3.680),with bone metastasis(HR:2.011,95%CI:1.056-3.831),and BM of HER2-overexpressing and triple-negative BC had shorter survival time.CONCLUSION HER2-overexpressing,triple-negative BC,late tumor stage and lung metastasis are risk factors of BM.The presence of neurological symptoms,bone metastasis,and molecular type are influencing prognosis factors of BCBM. 展开更多

Background High-risk infants refer to newborns exposed to high-risk factors in the prenatal, natal or postnatal period. High-risk infants are at high risk of developmental retardation, and early identification of developmental abnormalities plays a vital role in improving high-risk infants' quality of life.Aims To describe the neurodevelopment of high-risk infants aged less than 1 year old, and to analyse the incidences and influencing factors of neurodevelopmental abnormalities in order to provide a basis for neurodevelopment monitoring and management of highrisk infants.Methods High-risk infants born between January 2016 and December 2016 in the maternity and infant health hospitals of three districts in Shanghai were followed up.The Gesell Developmental Scale was used to assess the neurodevelopmental level at the time of recruitment(0-2 months) and at 9 months. Univariate and multivariate analyses of the influencing factors were conducted.Results 484 high-risk infants(male 51 %, female 49%)with an average gestation age of 36.5±2.2 weeks were recruited. At the time of recruitment, the average age was2.1(0.8) months, and the developmental quotient(DQ)scores of full-term high-risk infants in motor(t=3.542,p=0.001), cognitive(t=3.125, p=0.002), language(t=3.189, p=0.002) and social(t=3.316, p=0.001) areas were higher than those of preterm infants. The incidences of developmental abnormalities of full-term high-risk infants in motor(χ~2 =9.452, p=0.002), cognitive(χ~2=6.258, p=0.012), language(χ~2 =12.319, p =0.001) and social(χ~2 =6.811, p=0.009) areas were lower than the preterm infants. At 9 months, there was no difference in the DQ scores and incidences of developmental abnormalities in four areas between full-term and preterm high-risk infants, and the incidence of developmental abnormalities was around 10%.Conclusion The incidence of neurodevelopmental abnormalities in high-risk infants aged less than 1 year old is high. Preterm birth and parental bad habits are significant factors affecting the neurodevelopment.Monitoring and early interventions help to improve highrisk infants' neurodevelopment. 展开更多

Rare metals including Lithium(Li),Beryllium(Be),Rubidium(Rb),Cesium(Cs),Zirconium(Zr),Hafnium(Hf),Niobium(Nb),Tantalum(Ta),Tungsten(W)and Tin(Sn)are important critical mineral resources.In China,rare metal mineral deposits are spatially distributed mainly in the Altay and Southern Great Xingán Range regions in the Central Asian orogenic belt;in the Middle Qilian,South Qinling and East Qinling mountains regions in the Qilian-Qinling-Dabie orogenic belt;in the Western Sichuan and Bailongshan-Dahongliutan regions in the Kunlun-Songpan-Garze orogenic belt,and in the Northeastern Jiangxi,Northwestern Jiangxi,and Southern Hunan regions in South China.Major ore-forming epochs include Indosinian(mostly 200-240 Ma,in particular in western China)and the Yanshanian(mostly 120-160 Ma,in particular in South China).In addition,Bayan Obo,Inner Mongolia,northeastern China,with a complex formation history,hosts the largest REE and Nb deposits in China.There are six major rare metal mineral deposit types in China:Highly fractionated granite;Pegmatite;Alkaline granite;Carbonatite and alkaline rock;Volcanic;and Hydrothermal types.Two further types,namely the Leptynite type and Breccia pipe type,have recently been discovered in China,and are represented by the Yushishan Nb-Ta-(Zr-Hf-REE)and the Weilasituo Li-Rb-Sn-W-Zn-Pb deposits.Several most important controlling factors for rare metal mineral deposits are discussed,including geochemical behaviors and sources of the rare metals,highly evolved magmatic fractionation,and structural controls such as the metamorphic core complex setting,with a revised conceptual model for the latter. 展开更多

Variations in rare earth elements with environmental factors in lake surface sediments from 17 lakes in western China 被引量:3

Numerous lakes in western China are excellent sites for understanding environmental change.However,what dominates rare earth element(REE) variations are still under debate in the lake environmental research.In this study,we selected 28 surface sediment samples from 17 lakes(i.e.largescale lakes,small water bodies,etc.) in the QinghaiTibet Plateau and Xinjiang area.These samples were analyzed to reveal the behavior of the REEs and major elements.These REE patterns are characterized by light rare earth element(LREE) enrichment,weak Ce anomaly(0.84-0.98,0.94 on average) and negative Eu anomaly(0.53-1.00,0.67 on average).The homogeneous REE patterns may reflect similar REE of the source lithologys.However,the REE abundances showed some significant differences.In this study,water chemistry data analyses inferred that the highly REE values appear possibly in the saltwater lake,and also related to carbonate mineral,whereas p H played a minor role in REE concentrations.In large-scale lakes(e.g.Lake Bosten and Lake Ulungur),the results showed that the relatively larger REE values are in the margins of lakes.Moreover,lower REE contents are towards the central region.Comprehensive study suggested that five major factors control the REE contents:(1) The REE tends to increase with the increase of the weathering intensity.(2) Likewise,heavy mineral(i.e.rutile,anatase,zircon,etc.) are probably primary in these sediments because they are highly enriched in the REE.(3) The contribution of Fe-Mn oxides is significant in sediments because their concentrations highly correlate with the REE.(4) The carbonate mineral(mainly calcite) played a significant role on the REE values in the lakes because the REEs are incorporated into the carbonate minerals generating the low REE concentrations.(5) Major element analysis,mineral analysis,and grain-size data analysis showed that the REE distribution is chiefly influenced by finer grain-size component of lake sediments due to the decreasing proportion of quartz and feldspar than coarser one.Moreover,the clay minerals in finer grain-size sediments can highly absorb the REE. 展开更多

Brucellosis is an anthropozoonotic disease with an important public health impact. Although the transmission of <em>Brucella</em> from animals to humans can occur in different epidemiological settings of sub-Saharan African countries, little data has been published on human brucellosis. This study aimed to detect <em>Brucella</em> antibodies and the risk factors associated to brucellosis among high-risk occupational groups of people in the Noun Division of Cameroon. For this study, a structured questionnaire was used to assess risk factors associated with human brucellosis. Thereafter, blood samples were collected from high-risk occupational groups of people in four villages. Plasma was extracted from each sample and<em> Brucella</em> antibodies were detected using Rose Bengal Plate Test (RBPT) and indirect Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (i-ELISA). Of the 273 participants enrolled, the overall seroprevalence of <em>Brucella </em>antibodies was 12.45% with RBPT and 10.26% with i-ELISA test. This seroprevalence was significantly (<em>P</em> = 0.04;<em>X</em><sup>2</sup> = 9.73) higher among livestock herdsmen (15.8%), slaughterhouse workers (9.8%), butchers (4.8%), participants having no educational level (14.3%) and those experiencing above 5 years of risky activity (15%). Raw milk consumption (OR: 4.8;<em>P</em> = 0.001), no formal education (OR: 6.4;<em>P</em> = 0.03) and assistance of animal during parturition (OR: 7.2;<em>P</em> < 0.0001) appeared as factors that may increase the risk of <em>Brucella</em> infections. The detection of <em>Brucella </em>antibodies indicates the risk of human brucellosis in some groups of people of the Noun division. Consuming unpasteurized milk, participating in parturition and lacking knowledge on brucellosis appeared as risk factors associated with human brucellosis in western Cameroon. It raises the need of developing and implementing control measures for human and animal brucellosis. 展开更多

Objectives: To describe and analyze HIV/AIDS/STD-related high risk behaviors and affecting factors of men who have sex with men (MSM) in China's Mainland~ Methods: 426 self-administered or interview-based questionnaires collected from MSM were analyzed with SPSS or SAS Systems. Results: Of the MSM, four-fifths had engaged in oral-genital intercourse, about half had engaged in anal intercourse, and in the past year more than two-fifths had casual sexual partner(s).Very few maintained monogamous sexual relationships, and nearly half also had intercourse with women. One fourth had previously been diagnosed with a venereal diseases. One HIV+individual was found among the 40 who reported having been tested for HIV. Only two men consistently used condoms among the one-third who had ever used condoms, despite almost universal knowledge of HIV and its transmission. Conclusions: MSM in China's Mainland are very sexually active, highlighting the possibility of a serious HIV epidemic that may be directly spread to the female population. However,AIDS interventions targeting MSM face severe obstructions resulting from cultural bias and other factors. 展开更多

A Case-control Study on High-risk Factors for Newborn Hearing Loss in Seven Cities of Shandong Province

To investigate the high-risk factors for newborn hearing loss and to provide information for preventing the development of hearing loss and delaying its progression, from May 2003 to June 2006, neonates who failed to pass the universal newborn hearing screening (UNHS) were referred to Jinan Newborn Hearing Screening and Rehabilitation Center from 7 newborn hearing screening centers in seven cities of Shandong province. One-to-one pair-matched case-control method was employed for statistical analysis of the basic features of definitely identified cases. High-risk factors relating to the bilateral hearing loss were evaluated by univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Our results revealed that 721 transferred newborns who didn't pass the heating screening received audiological and medical evaluation and 367 were confirmed to have hearing loss. Of them, 177 neonates with hearing loss who met the matching requirements were included in the study as subjects. Univariate analysis showed that high-risk factors related to hearing loss incuded age of father, education backgrounds of parents, parity, birth weight, gestational weeks, craniofacial deformity, history of receiving treatment in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), neonatal disease, family history of otopathy and family history of congenital hearing loss. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis revealed that 4 independent risk factors were related to bilateral hearing loss, including parity (OR=16.285, 95% CI 3.379--78,481), neonatal disease (OR=34;968, 95% CI 2.720 449.534), family history of congenital hearing loss (OR=69.488, 95% CI 4.417--1093.300) and birth weight (OR=0.241, 95% CI 0.090--0.648). It is concluded that parity, neonatal disease and family history of heating loss are the promoting factors of bilateral hearing loss in neonates and appropriate intervention measures should be taken to deal with the risk factors. 展开更多

The material sources and control factors of rare earth elemems (REEs) for 25 borehole bulk samples from the Late Permian Longtan Formation in Mount Huaying (borehole number: ZK10-6), Sichuan Province, South China, were investigated. All samples were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The chondrite-normalized distribution patterns of mudstone samples are uniform. All samples belong to the light rare earth element (LREE)-rich type and are enriched in LREEs relative to heavy rare earth elements (HREEs). The distribution curves of REEs in mudstone are highly similar to Mount Emei basalt and the three periods of REEs enrichment correspond to three Mount Emei basalt eruption cycles in Longtan period. The results indicate that REE patterns are not controlled by materials from the seawater or land plants. The predominant sources of REEs are from terrigenous material as indicated by negative Eu anomaly. So, the sources of REEs are controlled by terrigenous material, and the Mount Emei basalt is the predominant source of terrigenous material. Thus, transgression-regression is another control factor of REEs enrichment. 展开更多

In this paper,the influence of crystal-field on the Luminescence properties of Eu^(2+) in complex oxides are studied theoretically by using purely electrostatic model,the dependence of the 4f^65d levels on Eu-O bond distance is given.Quantum chemistry calculation shows that the splitting extent of 4f^65d energy band in cubic or in octahedral fields will be inversely proportional to R^5,where R is the distance of Eu^(2+) to oxygen ligand.The value of R affects slightly the location of the centre of 4f^65d energy band.According to the exper- imental spectrum data,we have discussed the influence of the host chemical composition,the replaced sites of Eu^(2+) and degree of covalency of Eu-O bond on luminescence properties of Eu^(2+).Some regularity of fluorescence spectrum was observed. In alkali-alkaline earth-phosphates,the splitting extent of 4f^65d band (△E) becomes smaller as the Eu-O bond distance (R) increases.In Na_(3-x)(PO_4)_(1-x)(SO_4)_x and Na_(2-x)CaSi_(1-x)P_xO_4 hosts,d-d emission peak of Eu^(2+) will shift to shorter wavelength with the increase of x's value. The crystal structure data show that Eu^(2+) in K_2Mg_2(SO_4)_3 is affected more strongly by crystal-field and covalancy than in KMgF_3,so K_2Mg_2(SO_4)_3:Eu^(2+) emits blue light (E_(em)~m=400nm) and KMgF_3:Eu^(2+) produces ultraviolet fluorescence. 展开更多

Three soil-transmitted pathogenic fungi including Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium solani, and Pythium sp. were selected to investigate the effect of lanthanum on their growth and the pathogenic enzymes using liquid culture. Variance analysis shows significant differences among treatments with different concentrations of lanthanum (Rhizoctonia solani F = 6.75 〉 F0.01= 5.99; Fusarium solani F = 18.1 〉 F0.01 = 5.99, Pythium sp. F = 23.29 〉 F0.01 = 5.99). The inhibitory effect of lanthanum on pathogenic fungi increased with an increase in La concentration. The activities of the three pathogenic enzymes per gram mycelium were promoted remarkably. However, the quantity or the activities of the total enzymes were inhibited because of the strong inhibition of mycelium growth by lanthanum. Meanwhile, the effect of lanthanum on toxins of pathogenic fungi were studied using the seed germination experiment. Toxins of pathogenic fungi are influenced by lanthanum and the virulence decreases significantly with the increase of lanthanum concentration. 展开更多

The effects of Pr3+, Gd3+ ions on the H-1 NMR spectrum of anticoagulation factor (ACF) from snake venom were investigated. It was observed that the quartet peaks at delta 4.16 and the triplet peaks at delta 1.37 are gradually broadened with the increase of Pr3+ ion content, but the broadening effects of Pr3+ ion on the two single peaks at delta 1.99 and delta 2.29 were not observed obviously, and the obvious chemical shifts of all peaks induced by Pr3+ were not found. Two peaks contributed to alphaH and PH of the Ala side chain in ACF are broadened by Gd3+ ion, while two single peaks at delta 2.29 and delta 2.29 are not affected basically by Gd3+ ion. This result proves that the distance between the Ca2+-binding site in ACF and aH or PH of the Ala side chain in ACF is shorter than that between the Ca2+-binding site in ACF and proton in Met residue. 展开更多

It was observed that rare earth ions (Nd 3+, Sm 3+, Eu 3+, Gd 3+, Tb 3+) have significant quenching effects on the fluorescence of anticoagulation factor I (ACF I). The results of the fluorescence titration of ACF I with rare earth ions demonstrate that ACF I has two RE 3+-binding sites, and the rare earth ions and Ca 2+ bind to ACF I competitively in the two similar sites. The association constants K 1 and K 2 of ACF I with each rare earth ions (Nd 3+, Sm 3+, Eu 3+, Gd 3+, Tb 3+) are close to each other, which indicates the structural similarity of the two binding sites in ACF I. Dualcolor systems were used to reduce the collinearity of multicomponent spectra, which is described by the angles between spectra vectors. Combined with iterative target transformation factor analysis, single rare earth element was determined in its mixture. The calculated results show that the average angle between rare earth spectra in one color system(trichloroarsenazorare earths, pH 34) is 45, and that in two color systems(trichloroarsenazorare earths, pH 34, 14) is 215. This technique makes it easy to select the real number of the components in mixtures, and the determination results show dualcolor system method is an effective technique in rare earth mixture analysis. 展开更多

Large Population Screening Identified the Main Risk Factors of Stroke in Shashi District of Jingzhou City

Objective: This paper aims to screen and analyze the current status of high-risk stroke patients in Shashi District of Jingzhou City and the exposure levels of related risk factors, and provides suggestions as the references for prevention and treatment of stroke. Methods: Using cluster sampling, on-site investigations were conducted on 1060 permanent residents aged 40 years and over at 3 townships and 2 communities in Shashi District of Jingzhou City from January 2018 to December 2018. Risk assessment of stroke is based on the stroke risk screening form. Statistical analysis was performed by using SPSS 22.0 software. Results: After making a stroke risk assessment, a total of 313 high-risk stroke patients were screened, and the detection rate was 29.53%. The exposure rate of risk factors from high to low was hypertension (70.93%), dyslipidemia (46.33%), less physical exercise (46.01%), diabetes (36.10%), overweight (33.55%), smoking (33.23%), family history of stroke (24.92%), atrial fibrillation or valvular heart disease (7.35%). There are statistically significant differences among all risk factors between the high-risk group and middle and low-risk groups (P Conclusion: The detection rate of high-risk stroke patients in Shashi District of Jingzhou City is high. Hypertension, dyslipidemia and less physical exercise are the main risk factors of stroke occurrence and recurrence in the region. The prevention and treatment of risk factors for stroke should be strengthened to control the incidence and recurrence rate of stroke. 展开更多

该文通过全面优化高流速辉光放电离子源分析高温合金痕量元素的仪器条件,系统研究高温合金复杂基体元素造成的质谱干扰,选取稀土元素和贵金属元素分析同位素与合适的质谱分辨率,确立了基于基体匹配的变形高温合金标准物质系列的校正灵... 该文通过全面优化高流速辉光放电离子源分析高温合金痕量元素的仪器条件,系统研究高温合金复杂基体元素造成的质谱干扰,选取稀土元素和贵金属元素分析同位素与合适的质谱分辨率,确立了基于基体匹配的变形高温合金标准物质系列的校正灵敏度因子(RSF)定量方案,使测定结果的相对误差由4.0%~80%优化至7.7%~20%,并为痕量分析结果提供了可靠的计量溯源依据。基于此所建立的辉光放电质谱(GDMS)测定镍基高温合金中稀土元素和贵金属元素的方法检出限为0.0010~0.015μg/g,定量下限为0.0030~0.045μg/g。应用于变形高温合金和铸造高温合金实际样品中稀土元素和贵金属元素的分析,测定结果与湿法分析的参考值吻合较好,较好地验证了辉光放电固体样品快捷分析的优势,体现了高分辨质谱检出限低、线性范围宽、可分析元素多的特点,在高温合金材料质控中有着巨大的应用前景。 展开更多

研究发现,周围环境中,稀土元素可以从植物、动物、水体和空气等多种途径进入人体,而过量的稀土元素进入人体会增加致癌风险。分析矿区周围稀土元素含量和特征可为矿区生态环境提供参考依据。对湖南某矿区周围土壤中的La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Sm... 研究发现,周围环境中,稀土元素可以从植物、动物、水体和空气等多种途径进入人体,而过量的稀土元素进入人体会增加致癌风险。分析矿区周围稀土元素含量和特征可为矿区生态环境提供参考依据。对湖南某矿区周围土壤中的La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Sm、Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、Ho、Er、Tm、Yb、Lu、Y元素浓度进行测量研究,结合单因子指数法和内梅罗综合污染指数法进行分析。数据表明,土壤样品中的稀土平均含量为261.63 mg/kg,是湖南土壤背景值163.86 mg/kg的1.60倍,说明矿区周围出现稀土富集情况。单因子指数结果显示,各稀土元素单项污染指数均呈现不同程度污染,内梅罗综合污染结果显示中度污染样品占比28%,其余样品均为轻度污染,说明矿区早期采矿等人为活动将深层稀土元素带到表层富集,存在一定的污染,需要警惕。 展开更多
