The majority of the projectiles used in the hypersonic penetration study are solid flat-nosed cylindrical projectiles with a diameter of less than 20 mm.This study aims to fill the gap in the experimental and analytical study of the evolution of the nose shape of larger hollow projectiles under hypersonic penetration.In the hypersonic penetration test,eight ogive-nose AerMet100 steel projectiles with a diameter of 40 mm were launched to hit concrete targets with impact velocities that ranged from 1351 to 1877 m/s.Severe erosion of the projectiles was observed during high-speed penetration of heterogeneous targets,and apparent localized mushrooming occurred in the front nose of recovered projectiles.By examining the damage to projectiles,a linear relationship was found between the relative length reduction rate and the initial kinetic energy of projectiles in different penetration tests.Furthermore,microscopic analysis revealed the forming mechanism of the localized mushrooming phenomenon for eroding penetration,i.e.,material spall erosion abrasion mechanism,material flow and redistribution abrasion mechanism and localized radial upsetting deformation mechanism.Finally,a model of highspeed penetration that included erosion was established on the basis of a model of the evolution of the projectile nose that considers radial upsetting;the model was validated by test data from the literature and the present study.Depending upon the impact velocity,v0,the projectile nose may behave as undistorted,radially distorted or hemispherical.Due to the effects of abrasion of the projectile and enhancement of radial upsetting on the duration and amplitude of the secondary rising segment in the pulse shape of projectile deceleration,the predicted DOP had an upper limit. 展开更多

A new proportional navigation(PN) guidance law,called combined proportional navigation(CPN),is proposed.The guidance law is designed to intercept high-speed targets,which is a common case for ballistic targets.The range of target-to-interceptor speed ratio during target interception is derived when guidance laws are applied in high-speed targets interception,and the effectiveness of negative navigation ratio in the PN-based guidance law is proven analytically in some lemmas.Based on the lemmas,the lateral acceleration command of CPN is defined,and the solution to the appearance of singularity in time-varying navigation ratio is given.The simulation results show that CPN can determine headon engagement(as PN) or tail-chase engagement(as RPN) through initial path angle compared with PN and retro proportional navigation(RPN),and can adjust the value of navigation ratio for head-on engagement or tail-chase engagement.Therefore,the capture region of CPN is larger than that of other guidance laws using PN-based methods. 展开更多

The paper first discusses shortcomings of classical adjacent-frame difference. Sec ondly, based on the image energy and high order statistic(HOS) theory, background reconstruction constraints are setup. Under the help of block-processing technology, background is reconstructed quickly. Finally, background difference is used to detect motion regions instead of adjacent frame difference. The DSP based platform tests indicate the background can be recovered losslessly in about one second, and moving regions are not influenced by moving target speeds. The algorithm has important usage both in theory and applications. 展开更多

The capturability of an arbitrarily maneuvering target featuring speed superiority over an interceptor is analyzed for Augmented Pure Proportional Navigation(APPN)and RetroAugmented Proportional Navigation(RAPN)guidance.This paper focuses on intercepting arbitrary maneuvers to study more general interception problems.A comparative analysis of the capture region between head-on interception related to APPN and head-pursuit interception related to RAPN is proposed.The results indicate that RAPN performs better than APPN in capturability.It is concluded that increasing the target velocity,which increases the velocity ratio,significantly weakens the capturability of the interceptor,and the average acceleration and relative distance affect the location of the capture region but not its size.The analysis is based on prior knowledge of the target maneuver,which inevitably leads to deviations from actual maneuvers in practical engagement,so a deviation analysis is implemented.The effective capture region shrinks as the absolute value of acceleration deviation increases,and the RAPN has a better deviation fault tolerance compared with the APPN.The results reveal that a larger relative distance can weaken the deviation fault tolerance,and the target velocity has opposite effects on head-on and head-pursuit interception. 展开更多

Pure proportional navigation(PPN) is suitable for endoatmospheric interceptions,for its commanded acceleration is perpendicular to interceptor velocity.However,if the target is much faster than the interceptor,the homing performance of PPN will be degraded badly.True proportional navigation(TPN) does not have this problem,but its commanded acceleration is perpendicular to the line of sight(LOS),which is not suitable for endoatmospheric interceptions.The commanded acceleration of differential geometric guidance commands(DGGC) is perpendicular to the interceptor velocity,while the homing performance approximates the LOS referenced guidance laws(PPN series).Therefore,DGGC is suitable for endoatmospheric interception of high-speed targets.However,target maneuver information is essential for the construction of DGGC,and the guidance commands are complex and may be without robustness.Through the deep analysis of three-dimensional engagement,a new construction method of DGGC is proposed in this paper.The target maneuver information is not needed any more,and the robustness of DGGC is guaranteed,which makes the application of DGGC possible. 展开更多

Interferometric inverse synthetic aperture radar(InISAR)imaging has been proved to be a powerful means for obtaining threedimensional(3-D)space shape of noncooperative targets.Frequency modulated continuous wave(FMCW)InISAR(FMCWInISAR)has unique advantages of low power,low cost,and small volume compared with traditional coherent pulsed InISAR.However,FMCW-InISAR imaging has two additional issues to consider,the one is the invalidation of the assumption of stop&go,which is caused by the relatively long sweep interval of FMCW;the other is the isolation of the transmitting and receiving antennas,which is the inherent issue of the transmitter-receiver community radar systems.To solve these two problems,a bistatic FMCW-InISAR imaging algorithm for high-speed targets is proposed in this paper.For improving the isolation of the transmitting and receiving antennas,a bistatic configuration based FMCW-InISAR system is designed.According to the characteristics of bistatic,a bistatic equivalent motion model and corresponding signal model are established.Since the assumption of stop&go is invalid in the case of FMCW,indicating that the target cannot be viewed as motionless during a sweep repetition interval(SRI),a parametric estimation based quadratic phase factor(QPF)compensation method is investigated to eliminate the range walk caused by the radial motion of the target during the SRI.In addition,considering the farfield trait of the target and combining the traditional InISAR imaging process,a combined QPF compensation technique is proposed to reduce the computational burden of the algorithm.Finally,the effectiveness and the robustness of the proposed algorithm are evaluated by some simulations. 展开更多

A space-based bistatic radar system composed of two space-based radars as the transmitter and the receiver respectively has a wider surveillance region and a better early warning capability for high-speed targets,and it can detect focused space targets more flexibly than the monostatic radar system or the ground-based radar system.However,the target echo signal is more difficult to process due to the high-speed motion of both space-based radars and space targets.To be specific,it will encounter the problems of Range Cell Migration(RCM)and Doppler Frequency Migration(DFM),which degrade the long-time coherent integration performance for target detection and localization inevitably.To solve this problem,a novel target detection method based on an improved Gram Schmidt(GS)-orthogonalization Orthogonal Matching Pursuit(OMP)algorithm is proposed in this paper.First,the echo model for bistatic space-based radar is constructed and the conditions for RCM and DFM are analyzed.Then,the proposed GS-orthogonalization OMP method is applied to estimate the equivalent motion parameters of space targets.Thereafter,the RCM and DFM are corrected by the compensation function correlated with the estimated motion parameters.Finally,coherent integration can be achieved by performing the Fast Fourier Transform(FFT)operation along the slow time direction on compensated echo signal.Numerical simulations and real raw data results validate that the proposed GS-orthogonalization OMP algorithm achieves better motion parameter estimation performance and higher detection probability for space targets detection. 展开更多

From theoretical analysis, time-frequency hop signal is regarded as the most suitable signal waveform in this application. To get precise target parameter estimation ability, the signal should have high range-Doppler resolution performance. The results of signal analysis show that hop signal with frequency serial coding as Costas array has sharp ambiguity characteristic, so it can be used in an active sonar system to detect a high speed small target. 为了研究ZrH_(2)对Al/PTFE反应材料力学响应与毁伤性能的影响,采用冷压烧结工艺制备了Al/ZrH_(2)/PTFE、Al/PTFE和纯PTFE三种材料的圆柱体与药型罩试件,通过准静态压缩、落锤冲击和高速撞靶实验,对三种材料的力学性能、撞击感度与撞靶... 为了研究ZrH_(2)对Al/PTFE反应材料力学响应与毁伤性能的影响,采用冷压烧结工艺制备了Al/ZrH_(2)/PTFE、Al/PTFE和纯PTFE三种材料的圆柱体与药型罩试件,通过准静态压缩、落锤冲击和高速撞靶实验,对三种材料的力学性能、撞击感度与撞靶毁伤效能进行了对比研究。实验结果表明:三种PTFE基材料均为弹塑性材料,都存在应变硬化效应,质量分数为10%的ZrH_(2)能提高Al/PTFE反应材料的力学强度,使其屈服强度与失效应力分别达到22.2 Mpa与93.3 Mpa,也可降低材料撞击感度,使其点火激发能增加1.93 J,并通过活化分解参与反应保证材料能量释放水平不受影响。两种含能药型罩在撞靶过程中能发生撞击释能反应,产生穿/扩孔综合效应,形成花瓣式外翻的穿孔形式,与惰性毁伤元相比,反应材料的撞击-反应双重毁伤效应能大幅提升其扩孔能力,在Al/PTFE反应材料中引入适量添加剂ZrH_(2),能进一步增强材料的撞靶毁伤效能。 展开更多

The frame rate of conventional vision systems is restricted to the video signal formats (e.g., NTSC 30 fps and PAL 25 fps) that are designed on the basis of the characteristics of the human eye, which implies that the processing speed of these systems is limited to the recognition speed of the human eye. However, there is a strong demand for real-time high-speed vision sensors in many application fields, such as factory automation, biomedicine, and robotics, where high-speed operations are carried out. These high-speed operations can be tracked and inspected by using high-speed vision systems with intelligent sensors that work at hundreds of Hertz or more, especially when the operation is difficult to observe with the human eye. This paper reviews advances in developing real-time high Speed vision systems and their applications in various fields, such as intelligent logging systems, vibration dynamics sensing, vision-based mechanical control, three-dimensional measurement/automated visual inspection, vision-based human interface, and biomedical applications. 展开更多

In this study,ogive-nose projectile penetration into concrete slabs was tested at initial projectile impact velocities ranging from 1325.0 m/s to 1425.0 m/s.The depth of penetration and mass loss of the projectiles were measured,and the residual projectiles were recovered after the penetration tests.Scanning electron microscopy and metallographic microscopy of the microstructures were performed on various sections and outer surfaces of the projectiles taken from different locations of the residual projectiles,to analyze the intrinsic mechanisms of mass abrasion.The analysis results reveal that,during high-speed projectile penetration,projectile abrasion is caused by multiple mechanisms.Based on the cavity expansion theory,a projectile penetration model was established by considering the two main mass loss mechanisms observed in the microscopic tests.The theoretical predictions of the penetration depth,mass loss rate,and change of projectile head are consistent with the experimental results obtained both in this study and previous research. 展开更多

We describe a method of optical flow extraction for high-speed high-brightness targets based on a pulse array image sensor(PAIS).PAIS is a retina-like image sensor with pixels triggered by light;it can convert light into a series of pulse intervals.This method can obtain optical flow from pulse data directly by accumulating continuous pulses.The triggered points can be used to filter redundant data when the target is brighter than the background.The method takes full advantage of the rapid response of PAIS to high-brightness targets.We applied this method to extract the optical flow of high-speed turntables with different background brightness,with the sensor model and actual data,respectively.Under the sampling condition of 2×10^(4) frames/s,the optical flow could be extracted from a high-speed turntable rotating at 1000 r/min.More than 90%of redundant points could be filtered by our method.Experimental results showed that the optical flow extraction algorithm based on pulse data can extract the optical flow information of high-brightness objects efficiently without the need to reconstruct images. 展开更多

The minimum curve radius is one of the most important factors in railway route design. The minimum curve radius of the Hainan East Ring Railway, a newly built high-speed passenger-dedicated line from Haikou to Sanya, Hainan, China, was determined through comparative analysis of the design codes both in China and Germany. The results show that the design parameters of the Hainan East Ring Railway in terms of the minimum curve radius determined by China's Temporary Regulations, conform to the ones by German code, and even preserve some capacity for speeds up to 300 km/h in the future. Additionally, the related counter- measures for speed increases in this line were proposed on the premise of the safety and riding comfort of the trains. 展开更多
