The SMES connected to the DC-link capacitor of the DFIG is controlled to regulate the transient dc-link voltage so that the whole capacity of the grid side converter(GSC) is dedicated to injecting reactive power to the grid for the transient voltage support. However, the rotor-side converter(RSC) has different control tasks for different periods of the grid fault. Firstly, for Period I, the RSC injects the demagnetizing current to ensure the controllability of the rotor voltage. Then, since the dc stator flux degenerates rapidly in Period II, the required demagnetizing current is low in Period II and the RSC uses the spare capacity to additionally generate the reactive(priority) and active current so that the transient voltage capability is corroborated and the DFIG also positively responds to the system frequency dynamic at the earliest time. Finally, a small amount of demagnetizing current is provided after the fault clearance. Most of the RSC capacity is used to inject the active current to further support the frequency recovery of the system. Simulations are carried out on a simple power system with a wind farm. Comparisons with other commonly used control methods are performed to validate the proposed control method.展开更多

The mechanism of superconductivity in high-temperature superconductors has been extensively studied on the basis of various electronic models and also electron-phonon models. In this study, we investigate the properties of superconductivity in correlated-electron systems by using numerical methods such as the variational Monte Carlo method and the quantum Monte Carlomethod. The Hubbard model is one of basic models for strongly correlated electron systems, and is regarded as the model of cuprate high temperature superconductors. The d-p model is more realistic model for cuprates. The superconducting condensation energy obtained by adopting the Gutzwiller ansatz is in reasonable agreement with the condensation energy estimated for YBa2Cu3O7. We show the phase diagram of the ground state using this method. We have further investigated the stability of striped and checkerboard states in the under-doped region. Holes doped in a half-filled square lattice lead to an incommensurate spin and charge density wave. The relationship of the hole density x and incommensurability δ, δ~x, is satisfied in the lower doping region, as indicated by the variationalMonte Carlocalculations for the two-dimensional Hubbard model. A checkerboard-like charge-density modulation with a roughly period has also been observed by scanning tunneling microscopy experiments in Bi2212 and Na-CCOC compounds. We have performed a variational Monte Carlo simulation on a two-dimensional t-t′-t″- U Hubbard model with a Bi-2212 type band structure and found that the period checkerboard spin modulation, that is characterized by multi Q vectors, is indeed stabilized. We have further performed an investigation by using a quantumMonte Carlomethod, which is a numerical method that can be used to simulate the behavior of correlated electron systems. We present a new algorithm of the quantum Monte Carlo diagonalization that is a method for the evaluation of expectation value without the negative sign problem. We compute pair correlation functions and show that pair correlation is indeed enhanced with hole doping.展开更多

However, the integration of distributed generation (DG) into an existing distribution network not only inevitably increases fault current levels to levels that may exceed the OCR ratings, but it may also disturb the original overcurrent relay coordination adversely effecting protection selectivity. To analyze the potentially adverse impact of DG on distribution system protective devices with respect to circuit breaker ratings and OCR coordination fault current studies are carried out for common reference test system under the influence of additional DG. The possible advantages of Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL) as a means to limit the adverse effect of DG on distribution system protection and their effectiveness will be demonstrated. Furthermore, minimum SFCL impedances required to avoid miss-operation of the primary and back-up OCRs are determined. The theoretical analysis will be validated using the IEEE 13-bus distribution test system is used. Both theoretical and simulation results indicate that the proposed application of SFCL is a viable option to effectively mitigate the DG impact on protective devices, thus enhancing the reliability of distribution network interfaced with DG.展开更多

Here we discuss an experiment involving rotating and angularly accelerated superconducting rings and show that the concept of generalized quantum entanglement can explain the anomaly accordingly. In fact, the hypothesis of momentum variation exchanged between Cooper pairs and outer particles regarding a hypothesis of preexisting state of generalized quantum entanglement which is also valid in this system because classical macroscopic quantities are performed in the calculation and indicate good agreement between experimental and theoretical results. We also analyze the possible reason for the discrepance between positive and null results in case of some high voltage discharge experiments involving superconducting discs in terms of nonlocal force induction aiming to reinforce that the anomalous effect can really exist in all of those superconducting systems. The experiments indicate that the anomalous forces are still weak, but our study can provide some possible physical conditions in order to increase the magnitude of the forces and provide future viable technological applications from that phenomenon.展开更多

Transmission zeroes are introduced for the single-band filter by using dual-mode stepped-impedance resonators. The single-band filter with high selectivity is centered at 6.02 GHz and has a fractional bandwidth (FBW) of 25.6%. Four stubs (two low frequency and two high frequency ones) are connected to the rectangular patch in the center to construct a quadruple-mode resonator. The independent conditions of the center frequencies of the high and low bands of the resonator are analyzed. This framework, which extends our earlier study that dealt with the {Δ0, Tc, jc(0)} values of an SC, is also shown to lead to T-dependent values of several other related parameters such as the effective mass of electrons, their number density, critical velocity, Fermi velocity (VF), coherence length and the London penetration depth. The extended framework is applied to the jc(T) data reported by Romijn et al. for superconducting Aluminium strips and is shown not only to provide an alternative to the explanation given by them, but also to some novel features such as the role of the Sommerfeld coefficient γ(T) in the context of jc(T) and the role of VF(T) in the context of a recent finding by Plumb et al. about the superconductivity of Bi-2212.展开更多

We compute pair correlation functions and show that pair correlation is indeed enhanced with hole doping.
文摘Protection of radial distribution networks is widely based on coordinated inverse time overcurrent relays (OCRs) ensuring both effectiveness and selectivity. Both theoretical and simulation results indicate that the proposed application of SFCL is a viable option to effectively mitigate the DG impact on protective devices, thus enhancing the reliability of distribution network interfaced with DG.
文摘In this work, we show that anomalous forces in rotating superconductor rings seem to be nonlocal in its nature, according to same theoretical framework in our previous analysis concerning to superconducting disks and toroids. The experiments indicate that the anomalous forces are still weak, but our study can provide some possible physical conditions in order to increase the magnitude of the forces and provide future viable technological applications from that phenomenon.

文摘We investigate the XY control and manipulation of the superconducting qubit state using direct digital synthesis(DDS)for the microwave pulse signal generation. The decoherence time, gate fidelity, and other qubit properties are measured and carefully characterized, and compared with the results obtained by using the traditional mixing technique for the microwave pulse generation. In particular, the qubit performance in the state manipulation with respect to the sampling rate of DDS is studied. Our results demonstrate that the present technique provides a simple and effective method for the XY control and manipulation of the superconducting qubit state.Realistic applications of the technique for the possible future scalable superconducting quantum computation are discussed.

文摘In this paper, we present a compact quint-band superconducting filter operating at 2.4, 3.5, 4.7, 5.3, and 5.9 GHz.Matching junctions with different impedance branch lines are used to connect a dual-band sub-filter with a tri-band sub-filter and to reduce the channel interactions. The quint-band filter design is divided into two sections to determine the controllable frequencies and bandwidths, while ensuring compact size and reducing design complexity. The filter is fabricated on double-sided YBCO film deposited on an Mg O substrate with a size of 26 mm×19 mm. The measured results match well with the simulations.

文摘In this study, we propose a novel resonator that is composed of a modified spiral with an embedded interdigital capacitor. A large ratio of the first spurious frequency to the fundamental resonant frequency is obtained, which is suitable for the design of filters with wide stopbands, and the circuit size is considerably reduced by embedding the interdigital structure in the spiral. For demonstration, a compact four-pole high temperature superconducting(HTS) filter with a center frequency of 568 MHz is designed and fabricated on double-sided YBCO film with a size of 11.4 mm×8.0 mm. The filter measurement shows excellent performance with an out-of-band rejection level better than 60.9 dB up to 3863 MHz.

文摘This study presents two multimode stepped-impedance structures to design single-and dual-band filters. A dual-band filter, which operates at 1.53 GHz and 2.44 GHz with FWBs of 12.1% and 14.1%, respectively is designed. The single-and dual-band filters are both fabricated with double-sided YBCO films and they can be used in mobile and satellite communications.

文摘Against the background of global warming, research on the spatial distribution of high-temperature risk is of great significance to effectively prevent the adverse effects of high temperatures.By using air temperature data from 1951 to 2018 measured by meteorological stations located in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, the daily maximum air temperature distribution is interpolated at a resolution of 1 km based on the local thin disk smooth spline function;the high-temperature threshold for return periods of 5,10,20 and 30 yr are then calculated by using the generalized extreme value method. The yearly average high-temperature intensity and high-temperature days are finally calculated as high-temperature danger factors.Socioeconomic statistical data and remotely sensed image data in 2018 are used as the background data to calculate the spatial distribution of high-temperature vulnerability factors and prevention capacity factors, which are then used to compute the high-temperature risk index during different recurrence periods in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomerations. The results show that the spatial distribution features of high-temperature risk in different return periods are similar. The high-temperature risk index gradually increases from northeast to southwest and from east coast to inland, which has obvious latitude variation characteristics and a relationship with the comprehensive influence of the underlying surface and urban scale. In terms of time variation, the high-temperature risk index and its spatial distribution difference gradually decreases with increasing return period. In different cities, the high-temperature risk in the central area of the city is generally higher than that in the surrounding suburban areas.Jinhua,Hangzhou of Zhejiang Province and Xuancheng of Anhui Province are the top three cities with high-temperature risk in the study area.

文摘We have developed an electronic hardware system for the control and readout of multi-superconducting qubit devices. The hardware system is based on the design ideas of good scalability, high synchronization and low latency. The system, housed inside a VPX-6U chassis, includes multiple arbitrary-waveform generator(AWG)channels,analog-digital-converter(ADC)channels as well as direct current source channels. The system can be used for the control and readout of up to twelve superconducting transmon qubits in one chassis, and control and readout of more and more qubit can be carried out by interconnecting the chassis.By using field programmable gate array(FPGA)processors, the system incorporates three features that are specifically useful for superconducting qubit research.Firstly, qubit signals can be processed using the on-board FPGA after being acquired by ADCs,significantly reducing data processing time and data amount for storage and transmission.Secondly, different output modes, such as direct output and sequential output modes,of AWG can be implemented with pre-encoded FPGA.Thirdly, with data acquisition ADCs and control AWGs jointly controlled by the same FPGA,the feedback latency can be reduced, and in our test a 178.4 ns latency time is realized. This is very useful for future quantum feedback experiments. Finally,we demonstrate the functionality of the system by applying the system to the control and readout of a 10 qubit superconducting quantum processor.
文摘Presented here are the Generalized BCS Equations incorporating Fermi Energy for the study of the {Δ, Tc, jc(T)} values of both elemental and composite superconductors (SCs) for all T ≤ Tc, where Δ, Tc and jc(T) denote, respectively, one of the gap values, the critical temperature and the T-dependent critical current density. The extended framework is applied to the jc(T) data reported by Romijn et al. for superconducting Aluminium strips and is shown not only to provide an alternative to the explanation given by them, but also to some novel features such as the role of the Sommerfeld coefficient γ(T) in the context of jc(T) and the role of VF(T) in the context of a recent finding by Plumb et al. about the superconductivity of Bi-2212.

文摘Many issues concerning the origin of high-temperature superconductivity(HTS)are still under debate. For example, how the magnetic order varies with doping and its relationship with the superconducting temperature(Tc);and why Tcalways peaks near the quantum critical point. In this paper, taking hole-doped La_(2)CuO_(4)as a classical example,we employ the first-principles band structure and total energy calculations with Monte Carlo simulations to explore how the symmetry-breaking magnetic ground state evolves with hole doping and the origin of a dome-shaped superconductivity region in the phase diagram. We demonstrate that the local antiferromagnetic order and doping play key roles in determining the electron-phonon coupling, thus Tc.Initially, the La_(2)CuO_(4)possesses a checkerboard local antiferromagnetic ground state. As the hole doping increases,Tcincreases with the enhanced electron-phonon coupling strength. But as the doping increases further, the strength of the antiferromagnetic interaction weakens and spin fluctuation increases. At the critical doping level,a magnetic phase transition occurs that reduces the local antiferromagnetism-assisted electron-phonon coupling, thus diminishing the Tc.The superconductivity disappears in the heavily overdoped region when the ferromagnetic order dominates. These observations could account for why cuprates have a dome-shaped superconductivity region in the phase diagram. Our study, thus, contributes to a fundamental understanding of the correlation between doping, local magnetic order, and superconductivity of HTS.
