Recently, the scale of higher education for adults is expanding and at the same time, the teaching quality is declining, which has been increasingly focused on. In order to improve the teaching quality, at first, it is necessary to build up a set of integrative and complete teaching quality evaluation system, which is composed of class, course major and college respectively from the aspects of learning and teaching because of the particularity of the students and teaching modes of higher education for adults.

Influences on Excellent Course Network Teaching to Imported Courses Implementation of International Cooperative Education in Vocational Colleges

Both the ＂Interim Provisions on Sino-foreign Cooperative Education＂ and the ＂Regulation of the People＇s Republic of China on Sino-Foreigu Cooperative Education＂ are not specifically mentioned the implementation proposals to the foreign imported courses.The implementation methods of those introduced courses of China are basically like someone crossing a river by feeling the stones, which lacks the mature theoretical guidance and successful practical experience.The release of ＂Implementation Proposal to Construction of Excellent Open Courses of Ministry of Education＂ and the ＂Notice of ＇Construction Measures of the Top-quality Sharing Courses＇＂ have pushed the excellent course construction of vocational colleges into a restructuring and upgrading stage. Focused on the poor teaching effect of current introduced courses appeared in the Sino-foreigu cooperative education, this paper aims to expand teaching time and space of the Sino-foreign cooperative education through the excellent courses construction and network sharing technology.

Research on Global Higher Education Quality Based on BP Neural Network and Analytic Hierarchy Process

Having a universal, fair, democratic and practical higher education system plays a particularly important role in the future development of the country. However, the higher education system in various countries is uneven. It is of great significance to establish a general evaluation system for the development of global education. In this paper, 23 indicators are preliminarily selected from the education data of Universitas 21 and Global Statistical Yearbook. After the gray correlation analysis, 12 indicators were selected. On the one hand, principal component analysis is used to reduce the dimension of these 12 indicators in 50 countries, and the first four principal components with cumulative contribution rate of 99% are finally selected as the input parameters of BP neural network. On the other hand, 12 indicators are divided into four aspects as the standard of scheme decision-making. Finally, a higher education quality evaluation and decision-making model based on BP neural network and analytic hierarchy process are established. Then eight countries are selected to use the model to evaluate their current higher education quality. Based on the input and evaluation results of the four aspects of higher education in various countries, the analytic hierarchy process is used to make program decision, and several improvement suggestions are put forward for the current education policies of various countries.

Contrastive Study of Differences between Chinese and American Higher Education Teaching Modes

This paper,based on the classroom teaching in University of Bridgeport and Anhui Polytechnic University,explores some differences in education notions,course design,teacher-student relationship,teaching methods,assessment and evaluation system between Chinese and American higher education.And some reflections and suggestions on Chinese higher education are given to promote Chinese higher education effect.

Research on the Path of Higher Education Teaching Reform from the Perspective of Big Data

The advent of the digital age has pointed out the direction for the development of higher education.In this paper,the undergraduate course“Science of Interrogation”is taken as the research subject,the challenges of big data teaching reform in universities are analyzed systematically,and concrete measures,such as adhering to the concept of teaching reform under the condition of big data,establishing professional teaching teams,improving the curriculum construction level,emphasizing on being student-centered,and optimizing the reform of the curriculum evaluation system,are proposed to address these challenges.

Diversified Teaching Method in Basic Piano Course Instruction for Higher Education Teachers

Diversified teaching plays an important role in the sustainable development of China’s basic piano course instruction for higher education teachers.A diversified curriculum system should be designed to promote the development of each student,and efforts should be made to cultivate high-quality talents who can adapt to the various needs of the society as well as to promote the reform and development of basic piano course instruction for higher education teachers.The aim of this study was to explore the teaching of basic piano course for higher education teachers based on the diversified teaching method.The teaching methods use for basic piano course were analyzed in this study,and two research methods were used to carry out the present study so as to effectively improve the operation of the diversified teaching method.Through a survey of the current situation of piano instruction in two higher education faculties,we can see that the teaching of basic piano course in higher education is still dominated by the traditional teaching method although the majority of students preferred the diversified teaching method.

Threefold Optimized Forecasting of Electricity Consumption in Higher Education Institutions

Energy management benefits both consumers and utility companiesalike. Utility companies remain interested in identifying and reducing energywaste and theft, whereas consumers’ interest remain in lowering their energyexpenses. A large supply-demand gap of over 6 GW exists in Pakistan asreported in 2018. Reducing this gap from the supply side is an expensiveand complex task. However, efficient energy management and distributionon demand side has potential to reduce this gap economically. Electricityload forecasting models are increasingly used by energy managers in takingreal-time tactical decisions to ensure efficient use of resources. Advancementin Machine-learning (ML) technology has enabled accurate forecasting ofelectricity consumption. However, the impact of computation cost affordedby these ML models is often ignored in favour of accuracy. This studyconsiders both accuracy and computation cost as concurrently significantfactors because together they shape the technology environment as well ascreate economic impact. Thus, a three-fold optimized load forecasting modelis proposed which includes (1) application specific parameters selection, (2)impact of different dataset granularities and (3) implementation of specificdata preparation. It deploys and compares the widely used back-propagationArtificial Neural Network (ANN) and Random Forest (RF) models for theprediction of electricity consumption of buildings within a university. In addition to the temporal and historical power consumption date as input parameters, the study also embeds weather data as well as university operationalcalendars resulting in improved performance. The outcomes are indicativethat the granularity i.e. the scale of details in data, and set of reduced and fullinput parameters impact performance accuracies differently for ANN and RFmodels. Experimental results show that overall RF model performed betterboth in terms of accuracy as well as computational time for a 1-min, 15-minand 1-h dataset granularities with the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE)of 2.42, 3.70 and 4.62 in 11.1 s, 1.14 s and 0.3 s respectively, thus well suitedfor a real-time energy monitoring application.

A Performance Assessment Model Recommended for Higher Education System in Turkey and a Case Study

There are so many university ranking systems for academic performance as based on different criteria in the world.These systems,which have been considered since beginning of 2000’s years,have quickly followed with their own hierarchical measures by higher education organizations.This paper mentions the main principles of a new system for university performance in Turkey and summarizes the study,which was made for the performance of selected universities throughout country.The system depends on teaching income,teaching structure,teaching quality,number of publications and projects,the index for entrepreneurial and innovative university,and student satisfaction.The aim is to provide a comparative study with well-balanced and justice decision for the related universities.This study includes the 10 universities(Anadolu,Çukurova,Cumhuriyet,Dicle,Erciyes,Fırat,İnönü,Ondokuz Mayis,Selçuk,and Uludağ)which were founded between 1973 and 1978.In this study,data belonging to the period of 2010 and 2014 have been considered for the related universities.This study indicates that enlargement rate,localization,politicization,and degradation on management system influence the performance of universities.

This paper firstly analyses the due evaluation indexes of curriculum civics and politics in physical education of higher vocational colleges and,based on the indexes,puts forward suggestions to improve the quality of teaching curriculum civics and politics in physical education of higher vocational colleges and universities in Chongqing.It involves maintaining steadfast adherence to professional attributes,unwavering commitment to Sanquan education,and thorough exploration of professional civics and political elements.This approach also entails supplementing extracurricular civics and political resources and utilizing a variety of methods such as contextual teaching and role-modeling to the fullest extent.At the same time,we increase the opportunities for civics and political practice inside and outside the classroom and develop teaching evaluation and assessment in civics and politics.

Multimodal Approach to Teaching English in Higher Education

Higher vocational education, as an important component of higher education, is a newly emerging higher education type, and an important way to achieve the goal of popularization of higher education. At present, China is in an important period of adjustment and optimization of industrial structure, vigorous development of new industries, and the higher vocational education undertakes the arduous task of improving the quality of workers and cultivate specialized personnel, who are an indispensable important force in the process of modernization. AI-assisted Assessment in Higher Education:A Systematic Review

AI tools are increasingly used in education,impacting teaching and learning across various disciplines.However,previous review articles and empirical studies have not systematically discussed the application of AI in higher education assessment,the impact on user acceptance during its application,and the future opportunities and challenges.This systematic review aims to understand the application of AI tools in assessment,factors that influence students'and educators'perceptions,and related challenges and opportunities.Analyzing 81 empirical studies through matrix coding and content analysis,the results show that AI tools are used in intelligent tutoring and personalized learning,giving automated assessment and feedback,virtual classroom and online collaboration,learning analytics and prediction,knowledge management and resource recommendation,and educational chat assistants.AI tools offer high-quality,real-time,personalized feedback,improving cognitive and metacognitive skills and fostering positive emotions.Despite the benefits,challenges such as security and privacy concerns,algorithmic bias,unreliable feedback,negative attitudes,insufficient abilities,academic integrity issues,and lack of proper guidance persist.To advance our understanding of AI as an assessment tool,we call for studies that explore ways to enhance teachers’and students’perceptions and refine guidelines to prevent academic dishonesty and ensure responsible AI use.

Discussion on the Effect of"Outcome-based Education"in Higher Vocational Teaching Reform
