Marxist philosophy is an important indicator of human thought in the process of modern social development,and it is also the theoretical and spiritual support of socialism with Chinese characteristics.With the development and progress of the times,Marxist philosophical theory has gradually integrated the ideas and thinking of the new era,becoming a good medicine to guide the spiritual development of college students.So,as an important political philosophy course offered by higher education institutions,how to effectively achieve the reform and development of Marxist philosophy teaching courses has become a key entry point for higher education institutions to achieve high-quality talent cultivation and implement the goal of moral education and talent development.This article mainly analyzes the curriculum connotation and characteristics of Marxist philosophy in higher education institutions,and explores the teaching reform path of Marxist philosophy in higher education institutions,hoping to provide reference opinions for promoting the improvement of talent education level in higher education institutions.

Plurilingualism and Critical Literacies in the Teaching of English in Higher Education

This work aims at discussing the concept of critical and plurilingual English teaching within the context of the Interdisciplinary Higher Education Program recently implemented at the University of Campinas, Brazil. This program aims at widening possibilities for public students to have access to Higher Education. The teaching of English as a foreign language is part of the curriculum and one of the challenges faced was to design a language course that meant to be meaningful to students and able to develop the necessary knowledge and literacies for active citizenship as well. A discursive approach to language was adopted and, this way, Bakhtinian theories, re-contextualized to the educational field, support the claim for the development of critical literacy in the process. Along with the concept of multiliteracies, linked to the notion of speech genres, the idea of a plurilingual, plurivocal, and pluristylistic language teaching is theoretically discussed and briefly illustrated. The results show that such an approach successfully led to meaningful and critical practices in the language classroom in Higher Education.

Research on Financial Management Issues and Countermeasures in Chinese Higher Education Institutions

With the continuous deepening of educational reform and the rapid development of higher education,as an important battlefield for knowledge dissemination,scientific research innovation,and social services,the financial management level of universities directly affects the efficiency of resource allocation,improvement of teaching quality,and sustainable development ability of the school.However,in the context of rapid expansion and diversified development,financial management in universities faces many challenges and problems.If not solved,it will inevitably negatively impact the management of universities and restrict their development.This article aims to deeply analyze the main problems in current financial management in universities and propose corresponding countermeasures and suggestions,to provide reference for improving the efficiency of financial management in universities.

Research on the Path of Higher Education Teaching Reform from the Perspective of Big Data

The advent of the digital age has pointed out the direction for the development of higher education.In this paper,the undergraduate course“Science of Interrogation”is taken as the research subject,the challenges of big data teaching reform in universities are analyzed systematically,and concrete measures,such as adhering to the concept of teaching reform under the condition of big data,establishing professional teaching teams,improving the curriculum construction level,emphasizing on being student-centered,and optimizing the reform of the curriculum evaluation system,are proposed to address these challenges.

Exploring the 2023 Reformation of Financial Systems in Higher Education Institutions and Examining the Practical Aspects of its Execution

As China’s economy has experienced rapid growth,the economic landscape for higher education institutions’financial systems has become increasingly intricate.Consequently,there has been a heightened demand for enhanced financial management in these institutions.Notably,in 2012,the country’s Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Education introduced a new financial system for higher education institutions,and in 2022,the Ministry of Finance publicly revised this system to further standardize financial practices within higher education institutions,align with financial management requirements,and foster the development of these institutions.This paper offers an extensive examination of the updated financial system for higher education institutions compared to the previous version,delving into aspects such as the financial management framework,professionalization criteria for financial directors,enhancements in managing the proceeds from technology and research achievements,and the incorporation of management accounting reports.Additionally,it provides a comprehensive analysis of the challenges faced by financial management in higher education institutions and outlines strategies for addressing these issues.

AI-assisted Assessment in Higher Education:A Systematic Review

AI tools are increasingly used in education,impacting teaching and learning across various disciplines.However,previous review articles and empirical studies have not systematically discussed the application of AI in higher education assessment,the impact on user acceptance during its application,and the future opportunities and challenges.This systematic review aims to understand the application of AI tools in assessment,factors that influence students'and educators'perceptions,and related challenges and opportunities.Analyzing 81 empirical studies through matrix coding and content analysis,the results show that AI tools are used in intelligent tutoring and personalized learning,giving automated assessment and feedback,virtual classroom and online collaboration,learning analytics and prediction,knowledge management and resource recommendation,and educational chat assistants.AI tools offer high-quality,real-time,personalized feedback,improving cognitive and metacognitive skills and fostering positive emotions.Despite the benefits,challenges such as security and privacy concerns,algorithmic bias,unreliable feedback,negative attitudes,insufficient abilities,academic integrity issues,and lack of proper guidance persist.To advance our understanding of AI as an assessment tool,we call for studies that explore ways to enhance teachers’and students’perceptions and refine guidelines to prevent academic dishonesty and ensure responsible AI use.

A Performance Assessment Model Recommended for Higher Education System in Turkey and a Case Study

There are so many university ranking systems for academic performance as based on different criteria in the world.These systems,which have been considered since beginning of 2000’s years,have quickly followed with their own hierarchical measures by higher education organizations.This paper mentions the main principles of a new system for university performance in Turkey and summarizes the study,which was made for the performance of selected universities throughout country.The system depends on teaching income,teaching structure,teaching quality,number of publications and projects,the index for entrepreneurial and innovative university,and student satisfaction.The aim is to provide a comparative study with well-balanced and justice decision for the related universities.This study includes the 10 universities(Anadolu,Çukurova,Cumhuriyet,Dicle,Erciyes,Fırat,İnönü,Ondokuz Mayis,Selçuk,and Uludağ)which were founded between 1973 and 1978.In this study,data belonging to the period of 2010 and 2014 have been considered for the related universities.This study indicates that enlargement rate,localization,politicization,and degradation on management system influence the performance of universities.

Analysis on Construction of Teaching Quality Monitoring System of Adult Higher Education

The teaching process includes ＂teaching＂ and ＂learning＂ of two aspects, and the teaching process of adult higher education is the autonomous learning process of students under the guidance of teachers. It respectively establishes scientific and reasonable ＂teaching＂ quality monitoring system and ＂learning＂ quality monitoring system, to respectively conduct monitoring of the whole teaching process from＂teaching＂ and ＂learning＂ of the two aspects, in order to effectively improve the teaching quality of adult higher education.

Multimodal Approach to Teaching English in Higher Education

A Study on the Evaluation System of Teaching Quality of Higher Education for Adults

Recently, the scale of higher education for adults is expanding and at the same time, the teaching quality is declining, which has been increasingly focused on. In order to improve the teaching quality, at first, it is necessary to build up a set of integrative and complete teaching quality evaluation system, which is composed of class, course major and college respectively from the aspects of learning and teaching because of the particularity of the students and teaching modes of higher education for adults.

Diversified Teaching Method in Basic Piano Course Instruction for Higher Education Teachers

Diversified teaching plays an important role in the sustainable development of China’s basic piano course instruction for higher education teachers.A diversified curriculum system should be designed to promote the development of each student,and efforts should be made to cultivate high-quality talents who can adapt to the various needs of the society as well as to promote the reform and development of basic piano course instruction for higher education teachers.The aim of this study was to explore the teaching of basic piano course for higher education teachers based on the diversified teaching method.The teaching methods use for basic piano course were analyzed in this study,and two research methods were used to carry out the present study so as to effectively improve the operation of the diversified teaching method.Through a survey of the current situation of piano instruction in two higher education faculties,we can see that the teaching of basic piano course in higher education is still dominated by the traditional teaching method although the majority of students preferred the diversified teaching method.

Exploration and Consideration of the Development of Sino-foreign Cooperation of Higher Education——A Comparative Analysis Perspective Based on the Data of Municipal Universities of Wuhan, Hubei Province and China

With the tide of economic globalization and the practice of“One Belt and One Road”Initiative,Sino-foreign cooperation has gradually become one of the effective ways to improve the quality of higher education.This paper based on the statistics and analysis of the data released by the Ministry of Education’s foreign-related supervision information platform,combining with the actual investigation and research on the situation of Sino-foreign cooperation of higher education in municipal universities of Wuhan,has found that the Sino-foreign cooperation programs commonly have problems of non-standardized enrollment of students,insufficient quality of teachers and teaching qualities,and lack of core competitiveness.Therefore,it is essential to upgrade the level of foreign cooperative institutions and the standards of students’recruitment,optimize the curriculum,pay attention to the public welfare of education,improve the teaching model,improve the level of teachers,so as to truly realize the original intention of Sino-foreign cooperation in municipal universities of Wuhan.

Some notes on sustainable development and scientific outlook on development were given. It is addressed that the mission of higher education to contribute to sustainable development should be reinforced and further expanded. The present situation of China's higher education and the improvements required were analyzed. Two modes of thinking (reductionism and holism) and the relationship between the mode of thinking and the mode of development were discussed. The change in the mode of thinking is the key point for Chinese higher education, and more intensive reform of teaching affairs is necessary. A Multiphase Mixed Methods Approach to the Internationalization of Higher Education in South Africa:Outline of a Discursive Research Framework

Higher education internationalization(HEI)has become an important priority for global decision makers and education providers.Persuaded by globalization,HEI is a political strategy and economic prospect for countries,governments,and universities to position themselves in global markets.The purpose of this paper is to provide a methodological pathway to develop a dynamic,reformed South African HEI framework based on the transformative drive(i.e.,adjustment of change,learning,shared knowledge,internationalization,globalization an institutionalized memory)of HEI in China.The interpretivist paradigm constitutes the basic research approach.Quantitative and qualitative data will be collected,analyzed,and integrated using a multiphase mixed methods approach.This approach consists of three phases including content analysis(Phase I),in-depth interviews(Phase II),and surveys(Phase III),which answers the focal research question.The significance of this research includes creating a better understanding of South African higher education(HE)policy issues from a transformational perspective,contributing to theory on how internationalization affects HE’s position in economic and social development and broadening knowledge and understanding of the unique circumstances and challenges of HEI in developing countries,particularly in countries seeking to position themselves in the globalized knowledge economy.
