An Interview-Based Study of the Factors Influencing the Quality of Professional Training of Science Education Graduates

The proposal of the strategy of developing the country through science education has clarified China’s demand for the development of the science and education industry and the cultivation of science and education talents,and the birth of Science Education majors is an important link in the cultivation of scientific literacy.Based on the grounded theory,we interviewed three Science Education graduates from a university and coded the interview data by using NVivo 12.0 to find eight important factors affecting their professional training and employment choices.The factors are“social factors,”“individual career choice factors,”“campus resources,”“employment advantages,”“professional self-development,”“teacher factors,”“planning for further education and employment,”and“student motivation.”This study analyzes the interaction between the influencing factors,constructs a theoretical model of the influencing factors of the quality of Science Education professional training,explores the problems of the training process of Science Education majors and employment dilemmas,and puts forward corresponding suggestions.

An Analysis of Teacher's Professional Development of Higher Vocational Education

Teachers are the backbones of any educational institutions. They not only play vital roles in students' development;they also directly affect the stature of their respective scholastic organizations. Highly qualified instructors produce competent and well-rounded students— learners who are more than ready to face the quirks and challenges of the labor force. This paper primarily discusses the following questions: What is teacher's professional development? What is higher vocational teacher's professional development? And how can scholastic institutions promote it? The conclusion states that the characteristics of higher vocational education directly influence the higher vocational teacher's professional development; therefore, it must be nurtured and promoted for the development of all the stakeholders of learning institutions – students, teachers, management staff,the learning institution itself, and the nation as a whole.

Exploration of Professional Practice Teaching Skill of Higher Vocational English Education

Higher vocational English education major is an important channel to train teaching staff for primary and secondary schools of China and professional skill is one of essential factors which forms the training goal of higher vocational English education.In view of this, this article summarizes the current status of practice teaching of higher vocational English education which aims to explore a set of teaching ideas, teaching modes and teaching theories that suit professional skills training practice of higher vocational education, so as to find some effective teaching methods for professional skill training practice to meet the social requirements for the graduates and pave the way for their future employment.

The Role of the Examination Management for Medical Students in Humanities Education and Training Professional Quality

It has been proved by years of research that if the function of examination management cannot be fully understood or be used effectively, the humanities education and train of professional quality for medical students will not make a fundamental achievement. Entrustable professional activities in nursing:A concept analysis

Objective:Entrustable professional activities(EPAs)is a newly emerging concept.This paper aims at analyzing the concept of"EPAs"to clarify the meaning and to identify its components for optimum understanding of the concept for use in nursing education and future research.Method:Three databases-ProQuest,Ovid,and PubMed-were retrieved,and Walker and Avant's concept analysis approach was used to analyze the concept of EPAs.Results:Based on the analysis,three attributes of EPAs were defined,namely (1)EPAs should be restricted to a limited number of tasks;(2)reflect the experience curve;and (3)include acceptance of responsibility and accountability.The antecedent of EPAs is a holistic and integrated assessment approach.This will eventually lead to anticipated consequences such as a mastery of core competencies and an increase in the level of autonomy.Conclusion:The study may contribute to a reduction in the ambiguity of this concept to better apply it in nursing practice.

Thoughts on the Professional Growth of University Teachers in Digital Era

The development of information and technology has changed education namely teaching and learning.This paper analyzed the main characteristic of university teachers’professional growth in digital era by theoretically analyzing the impact on education of information and technology.In the new era,teachers should assume more abundant roles,such as lecturer in the classroom environment,model of students’life,mentor/instructor,teaching evaluator,resource developer,planner,leader and manager,etc.Teachers in the digital era should own the qualities of“foundation”,“growth”,and“expansion”.On this basis,several suggestions for promotion of teachers’professional growth have been given.It is necessary to explore the way of professional growth for university teachers in the IT age by constructing a UGIT collaborative“front and behind continued”teacher cultivation mechanism;exploring a practice-oriented,precise,scientific and demand-driven cultivation model;and strengthening the training of teachers’IT application ability.

An Exploration of Higher Vocational English Teachers’Professional Development on Students’Learning Ability in the Context of New Liberal Arts

The concept of New Liberal Arts,a multidisciplinary combined integrator with Chinese values at its core,has brought new challenges to the teaching methods and professional development of higher-level English teachers.Based on the evolving professional development process of higher vocational English teachers in the context of the New Liberal Arts,this article analyzes how English teachers can integrate multidisciplinary knowledge and adopt advanced educational technology in the teaching process.On this basis,it discusses the role of teachers’professional development in enhancing students’learning ability,such as through deepening disciplinary understanding,adopting innovative teaching strategies,and implementing personalized teaching.At the end of the article,based on a variety of pedagogical theories,we put forward suggestions,including continuous professional training,interdisciplinary cooperation,and the application of innovative teaching techniques,which are mainly aimed at helping higher vocational English teachers get rid of the dilemma of the new situation,adapt to the needs of the new liberal arts education as soon as possible,and then effectively improve students’abilities.

Survey and Countermeasures on Current Status of Farmer Training and Education Informatization in Western Liaoning Province

This study summarized the main achievements of farmers’training and rural informatization construction in the past few years,and explored the needs of rural informatization in western Liaoning Province.The current status of agricultural development in western Liaoning and farmers’needs for education and training and rural education informatization were surveyed.The construction of an education and technical support service platform for scientific and technological farmers in western Liaoning was proposed,aiming to use information technology to train modern professional farmers.Through independent and self-learning education and training methods,it is expected to promote great improvement in the scientific and technological quality and moral level of farmers in western Liaoning and cultivate professional farmers who are educated and understand both agricultural techniques and business management.

Evaluation of Technical Education by Using a Modern Structured MOODLE Laboratory Course, in Relation to Recent Data

E-learning platforms support education systems worldwide, transferring theoretical knowledge as well as soft skills. In the present study high-school pupils’, and adult students’ opinions were evaluated through a modern structured MOODLE interactive course, designed for the needs of the laboratory course “Automotive Systems”. The study concerns Greek secondary vocational education pupils aged 18 and vocational training adult students aged 20 to 50 years. The multistage, equal size simple random cluster sample was used as a sampling method. Pupils and adult students of each cluster completed structured 10-question questionnaires both before and after attending the course. A total of 120 questionnaires were collected. In general, our findings disclosed that the majority of pupils and adult students had significantly improved their knowledge and skills from using MOODLE. They reported strengthening conventional teaching, using the new MOODLE technology. The satisfaction indices improved quite, with the differences in their mean values being statistically significant.

“一带一路”背景下,土木工程专业人才培养更加注重学生的实践能力和创新思维。产教融合是高校培养应用型人才的着力点和突破口,而实践基地是培养学生实践创新能力的载体和关键环节。因此,有效利用高校和校外企业资源,在实际工程项目中培养专业硕士创新思维和解决实际工程问题的能力就显得尤为重要。该文以西安工业大学土木水利专业硕士产教融合培养模式为例,在充分分析目前实践能力培养存在的问题以及行业高级应用人才需求现状的基础上,提出依托高校和企业双平台,以提升“学生、教师、企业”三个主体能力为目标,实现校企资源的四个融合,构建土木水利专业硕士产教融合实践创新能力培养的新模式。

系统论视阈下高职院校专创教育融合的探索与实践——以海南经贸职业技术学院为例

培养具有创新创业精神、符合人力资本市场需求的高素质应用技能型人才已经成为新时代高职教育的职责,专创教育融合是实现此目标的必然选择。现有研究主要从专创教育融合的局部特征出发,系统论理论为此提供了更全面的研究视阈。本文通过对专创教育融合的文献梳理,解析系统论视阈下整体性、层次性、开放性和自组织性原理在高职院校专创教育融合中的体现,并分析高职院校专创教育融合系统中存在的共性问题,总结海南经贸职业技术学院(以下简称“海经贸”)专创教育融合系统的探索实践经验,供其他高职院校参考借鉴。

Health Training Needs at Primary Care Level Health Facilities in Rural Western Uganda

Introduction: Continual education is recognized worldwide as a tool for the professional development of health care practitioners. It is however effective when the training targets the appropriate needs of the target beneficiaries. This study was therefore aimed at identifying priority training needs of Primary Care Level health professionals in rural Western Uganda. Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional survey among 35 rural community health facilities represented by their managers in rural Western Uganda. Participants were invited to Mbarara University of Science and Technology and responded to a self-administered questionnaire and also participated in qualitative group discussions guided by Facilitators from the Community Based Education and Research Services unit within the Community Health Department of Mbarara University of Science and Technology. Priority health training needs were determined based on the computed weighted scores. Results: The majority of managers of rural primary care level health facilities were medical officers by the level of training (51.43%) and male by gender (68.57%). Priority health training needs identified were child health and maternal health with total weighted scores of 12.0 and 10.9 respectively. Qualitatively, emerging themes included;leadership and management, and supervisory roles during student field attachments. Conclusion: Priority health training needs at rural Primary Care level health facilities were child health, maternal health, leadership and management, and supervisory skills. There is dire need to train rural primary care level, health professionals. In-service training based on identified needs should be offered by MUST in partnership with regional stakeholders. This is likely to enhance the quality of services provided by rural primary care level health facilities.
