We develop a bi-linear algorithm, named ECO-Trade to generate the near-optimal schedules of the households’ loads, storage and energy sources. The algorithm also facilitates Peer-to-Peer (P2P) energy trading among the smart homes in a community microgrid. However, P2P trading potentially results in an unfair cost distribution among the participating households. To the best of our knowledge, the ECO-Trade algorithm is the first near-optimal cost optimization algorithm which considers the unfair cost distribution problem for a Demand Side Management (DSM) system coordinated with P2P energy trading. It also solves the time complexity problem of our previously proposed optimal model. Our results show that the solution time of the ECO-Trade algorithm is mostly less than a minute. It also shows that 97% of the solutions generated by the ECO-Trade algorithm are optimal solutions. Furthermore, we analyze the solutions and identify that the algorithm sometimes gets trapped at a local minimum because it alternately sets the microgrid price and quantity as constants. Finally, we describe the reasons of the cost increase by a local minimum and analyze its impact on cost optimization.展开更多

With the dramatically increasing of population aging speed, the traditional endowment pattern with the element of family model has a weakening trend and does not satisfy the demand of urban elderly diversified and multi-level pension. Thus, pensions that occupy at home are becoming the best choice of the urban pension mode in China. The paper will describe the meaning, situation and prospects of the home endowment and demonstrate the significance of developing the home endowment project in China. The transnational marriage is a phenomenon with ever-increasing in Taiwan and around the world. For a student who has a transnational foreign mother, home-school communication is often an obstacle because the foreign mother has language difficulty understanding the delivered messages in the communication book from teachers. In order to improve parent-teacher communications for the transnational families, we designed and constructed the cloud service platform with online multilingual communications and translation service functions, such that teachers can prepare different sheets of multilingual messages for home-school communication books and foreign mothers can read the messages from the teachers in their native languages through the web interface.展开更多

On the one hand, China entered the aging society, old-age needs to grow exponentially. The sixth national census shows that in our country, the population aged 60 and 13.26% of the total population over the total number of 179 million, 65 years and older the proportion of 8.87% of the total population, the absolute number of nearly 120 million. Hundreds of millions of older age groups will produce a growing demand for care services, which is the original old-age service system and the whole economic and social development is a huge pressure. On the other hand, with the economic and social transformation, the traditional model of family pension has been unable to adapt to the profound changes in modem employment, family structure, the concept of retirement, since most parts of China, "old before getting ricE" the situation, how to solve the elderly the pension problem is related to the overall situation of China's economic and social development, related to the overall situation of building a harmonious society in China. Under current national conditions, the emphasis on the development of a single individual body to meet the growing demand for pension service is not realistic, we must mobilize the enthusiasm of all aspects of the element, multi-service integration of resources subject to their commitment to a different responsibilities and tasks provide a full range of care services according to different types, different levels of the actual needs of the older age groups. On the aging problem is that the whole community to face, you need to multi-government body, families, communities, institutions combine effectively starting from the actual needs of the elderly population, according to the financial assistance, life care, spiritual consolation three set the specific needs of services, through a government-led, home-based care services, community care services for the core and supplementary services for institutions focused on pension and other means to provide a full range of pension services.展开更多

Materials and Methods: We conducted in Sousse, Tunisia an interventional study through a quasi-experimental design (pre-post with intervention and control groups) to prevent non communicable disease risk factors. The intervention group included different settings and pre and post assessment concerned independent groups (schools with 1929 and 2170 participants, workplaces with 914 and 1098 participants and community with 940 and 1001 participants respectively at pre and post assessment). It was located in the delegation of Sousse Jawhara and Sousse Erriadh. The control group with similar settings (schools with 2074 and 2105 participants, workplaces with 861 and 1015 and community with 940 and 976 participants respectively at pre and post assessment) was located in the delegation of Msaken from the region of Sousse. Results: Tobacco use decreased among neighborhood (26.2% to 23.2%, p = 0.13) workplace (39.2% to 37.5%, p = 0.43) and schools (5.7% to 4.8%, p = 0.19) participants. In control group, it increased significantly in schools and neighborhood. Participants who consumed five fruits and vegetables daily increased significantly in all settings in intervention group (from 30% to 33.2% in schools, 47.5% to 52.1% in workplace and 39.4% to 58.4% in neighborhood). However in control group it increased only in schools and neighborhood. An improvement in physical activity practice was seen both in intervention and control group among adults participants but not in schools. Conclusion: The “Together in Health” project for the prevention of risk factors for NCD is an example of a loco-regional initiative. Such initiatives can only be beneficial with a structure organized by the government.展开更多

The transition from anarchy to international society may have progressed further in Europe than elsewhere. Can we apply the lessons learned from the evolution of a security community in Europe to Africa? The argument here is that that the antecedent structural conditions that shaped the evolution of the European system are absent in the Africa sub-system. Therefore, similar processes, such as transnational activity, will not necessarily lead to similar ends.展开更多
