A signal processing method based on wavelet transform is applied ...In this paper, we present a method based on self-mixing interferometry combing extreme learning machine for real-time human blood pressure measurement. A signal processing method based on wavelet transform is applied to extract reversion point in the self-mixing interference signal, thus the pulse wave profile is successfully reconstructed. Considering the blood pressure values are intrinsically related to characteristic parameters of the pulse wave, 80 samples from the MIMIC-II database are used to train the extreme learning machine blood pressure model. In the experiment, 15 measured samples of pulse wave signal are used as the prediction sets. The results show that the errors of systolic and diastolic blood pressure are both within 5 mm Hg compared with that by the Coriolis method.展开更多

Optical penetration depth can be obtained from the measurement of the relative fluencc-depth distribution inside the target tissue. The depth of normal and carcinomatous human lung tissues irradiated with the wavelengths of 406.7, 632.8 and 674.4 nm in vitro are respectively determined. In addition, a novel simple method based on total internal reflection for measuring the refractive index of biotissue in vivo is developed, and the refractive indices of skin from people of different age, sex and skin color are measured. Their refractive indices are almost same and the average is 1.533.展开更多

As an essential part of modern smart manufacturing,road transport with large and heavy trucks has in-creased dramatically.Due to the inside wheel difference in the process of turning,there is a considerable safety haz...As an essential part of modern smart manufacturing,road transport with large and heavy trucks has in-creased dramatically.Due to the inside wheel difference in the process of turning,there is a considerable safety hazard in the blind area of the inside wheel difference.In this paper,multiple cameras combined with deep learning algorithms are introduced to detect pedestrians in the blind area of wheel error.A scheme of vehicle-pedestrian safety alarm detection system is developed via the integration of YOLOv5 and an improved binocular distance measurement method.The system accurately measures the distance between the truck and nearby pedestrians by utilizing multiple cameras and PP Human recognition,providing real-time safety alerts.The experimental results show that this method significantly reduces distance measurement errors,improves the reliability of pedestrian detection,achieves high accuracy and real-time performance,and thus enhances the safety of trucks in complex traffic environments.展开更多
