We have fabricated hybrid molecular chain structures formed by electron acceptor compound 1 and electron donor molecules 2 and 3 at the liquid/solid interface of graphite surface.The structural details of the mono-com...We have fabricated hybrid molecular chain structures formed by electron acceptor compound 1 and electron donor molecules 2 and 3 at the liquid/solid interface of graphite surface.The structural details of the mono-component and the binary assemblies are revealed by high resolution scanning tunneling microscopy (STM).Compound 1 can form two well-ordered lamellar patterns at different concentrations.In the co-adsorption structures,compounds 2 and 3 can insert into the space between molecular chains of compound 1 and form large area well-ordered nanoscale phase separated lamellar structures.The unit cell parameters for the coassemblies can be "flexibly" adjusted to make the electron donors and acceptors perfectly match along the molecular chains.Scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS) results indicate that the electronic properties of individual molecular donors and acceptors are preserved in the binary self-assembly.These results provide molecular insight into the nanoscale phase separation of organic electron acceptors and donors on surfaces and are helpful for the fabrication of surface supramolecular structures and molecular devices.展开更多
Five super hybrid rice combinations, i.e. HYS-1/R105, Pei'ai 64S/E32, Liangyoupeijiu (Pei'ai 64S/9311), 88S/0293, and J23A/Q611, and their parental lines were tested by means of SSR analysis. A total of 144 SS...Five super hybrid rice combinations, i.e. HYS-1/R105, Pei'ai 64S/E32, Liangyoupeijiu (Pei'ai 64S/9311), 88S/0293, and J23A/Q611, and their parental lines were tested by means of SSR analysis. A total of 144 SSR primer pairs distributed on 12 rice chromosomes were used, out of which 47 detected polymorphism among the tested rice lines. Among all these primers, RM337 and RM154 produced polymorphic patterns in four or more of the tested experimental materials respectively, and they could distinguish among most rice genotypes tested. Twenty-four primer pairs, two on each rice chromosome, were selected to make a reference SSR marker-based fingerprinting for the rice lines. For most of the primer pairs, F1 hybrids mainly showed complementary pattern of both parents, which could be very useful to distinguish the F1 from its parental lines. In addition, 5 primer pairs were selected as special primer pairs for five hybrid rice combinations respectively. By combining the rapid, simple method on DNA extraction, it is suggested that SSR technique has wide prospective in variety authentication and purity identification.展开更多

These are generally distinguished in molecular and semiconductor(non-molecular)systems, however, hybrid strategies, proposed recently, have also been included. The most promising efforts are considered, highlighting key aspects and emerging critical issues. Special attention is paid to aspects such as electrode architecture, device design, and main differences in the scientific vision and challenges to directly produce solar fuels. This overview could be useful to orientate the readers in the wide panorama of research activities concerning water splitting, natural and artificial photosynthesis, and solar fuel production through the identification of common aspects, specialties and potentialities of the many initiatives and approaches that are developing worldwide in this field with the final aim to meet world energy demand.展开更多

It was used to distinguish the chromosomes of Oryza sativa from wild species in a spontaneous interspecific hybrid and to investigate the chromosome pairing at metaphase I in meiosis of the hybrid in this study. The hybrid was a triploid with 36 chromosomes according to the chromosome number investigated in mitosis of root tips. During metaphase I of meiosis in the hybrid, less chromosome pairing was observed and most of the chromosomes existed as univalent. Based on GISH and FISH (Fluorescent in situ hybridization) analyses, the chromosomes of the hybrid were composed of genomes A, B and C. Thus, it was believed that the hybrid was the result of natural hybridization between cultivated rice and wild species O. minuta which was planted in experimental fields.展开更多
A set of novel structural descriptors (molecular hybridization electronegativity-distance vector, VMEDh) was put forward, and the quantitative structure–activity relationship (QSAR) of a series of 17α-Acetoxyprogest...A set of novel structural descriptors (molecular hybridization electronegativity-distance vector, VMEDh) was put forward, and the quantitative structure–activity relationship (QSAR) of a series of 17α-Acetoxyprogesterones (APs) was investigated. Taking into account the effect of various hybridized orbits on atomic electronegativities, we developed the structure descriptors with amended electronegativities to build a QSAR model. The 10-parameter model based on VMEDh yields a correlation coefficient R=0.972 and standard deviation SD=0.262, which are more desirable than those of the previous molecular electonegativity-distance vector (MEDV-4) (R=0.969, SD=0.275). By stepwise multiple linear regression, several parameters are selected to construct optimal models. The 7-parameter model based on VMEDh has R=0.960 and SD=0.276; its correlation coefficient (RCV) and standard deviation (SDCV) for leave-one-out procedure crossvalidation are respectively RCV=0.890 and SDCV=0.445. The 6-parameter MEDV-4 model has R=0.946, SD=0.304, RCV=0.903 and SDCV=0.406. It is demonstrated that VMEDh has desirable estimation performance and good predictive capability for this series of chemical compounds.展开更多

However,hybrid necrosis, which is characterized by progressive death of leaves or plants, has been observed in certain interspecific crosses between tetraploid wheat and Ae. tauschii. The aim of this study was to construct a fine genetic map of a gene(temporarily named Net Jing Y176)conferring hybrid necrosis in Ae. tauschii accession Jing Y176. A triploid F1 population derived from distant hybridization between Ae. tauschii and tetraploid wheat was used to map the gene with microsatellite markers. The newly developed markers Xsdau K539 and Xsdau K561 co-segregated with Net Jing Y176 on chromosome arm 2DS. The tightly linked markers developed in this study were used to genotype 91 Ae. tauschii accessions. The marker genotype analysis suggested that 49.45% of the Ae. tauschii accessions carry Net Jing Y176. Interestingly, hybrid necrosis genotypes tended to appear more commonly in Ae. tauschii ssp. tauschii than in Ae. tauschii ssp. strangulata.展开更多
Hybrid wild boar husbandry is an important component of livestock production in Northeast China.However,the current disease situation of these animals is largely unknown due to a lack of disease surveillance.The prese...Hybrid wild boar husbandry is an important component of livestock production in Northeast China.However,the current disease situation of these animals is largely unknown due to a lack of disease surveillance.The present study was conducted to determine the prevalence of several important viral diseases in the hybrid wild boar population of Northeast China.Between September 2015 to December 2016,169 blood and 61 tissue samples were collected from apparently healthy hybrid wild boars from farms in Jilin,Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang provinces.ELISA detected serum antibodies against classical swine fever virus(CSFV),porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV),pseudorabies virus(PRV),porcine circovirus type 2(PCV2)and Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV),but not against African swine fever virus(ASFV),with PCV2 having the highest seropositive rate(87.2–100%in different farms).RT-PCR or PCR performed on the processed samples detected only PCV2,with 33.1%(56/169)of blood samples and 32.8%(20/61)of spleen samples being positive,respectively,indicating widespread PCV2 infection in hybrid wild boars.Phylogenetic analysis of 15 PCV2 ORF2 sequences showed that they belong to genotypes PCV2a,PCV2b and PCV2d,with nucleotide and deduced amino acid homologies of 88.5–100%and 88.1–100%,respectively.展开更多
