The effects of ground plane size on the radiation performance of the antenna are carried out. To increase the antenna gain, four sidewalls are placed around the corners of the ground. Also, a reflector is placed at the back side of the structures to reduce backward radiation. Results show that 7.7 dB gain is obtained at 10 GHz with a broadside radiation pattern. For the DRA with four sidewalls maximum gain of 10.4 dB at 10.4 GHz is achieved which is 2.7 dB higher than the gain of the structure without them. The effect of air gap between dielectric resonator and ground plane is also investigated. The results show that with increasing the distance between the DR and ground, antenna gain is decreased.展开更多

Very high resolution (VHR) satellite images provide ideal geo-data for mapping building information. Since buildings are inherently elevated objects, these images need to be co-registered with their elevation data for reliable building detection results. However, accurate co-registration is extremely difficult for off-nadir VHR images acquired over dense urban areas. Therefore, this research proposes a Disparity-Based Elevation Co-Registration (DECR) method for generating a Line-of-Sight Digital Surface Model (LoS-DSM) to efficiently achieve image-elevation data co-registration with pixel-level accuracy. Relative to the traditional photogrammetric approach, the RMSE value of the derived elevations is found to be less than 2 pixels. The applicability of the DECR method is demonstrated through elevation-based building detection (EBD) in a challenging dense urban area. The quality of the detection result is found to be more than 90%. Additionally, the detected objects were geo-referenced successfully to their correct ground locations to allow direct integration with other maps. In comparison to the original LoS-DSM development algorithm, the DECR algorithm is more efficient by reducing the calculation steps, preserving the co-registration accuracy, and minimizing the need for elevation normalization in dense urban areas.展开更多

Firstly, based on the imaging principle of mapping cameras,an analytical expression of image motion velocity of off-axis TMA three-line array aerospace mapping cameras is deduced from different coordinate systems we established and the attitude dynamics principle. Then, the case of a three-line array mapping camera is studied,in which the simulation of the focal plane image motion velocity fields of the forward-view camera, the nadir-view camera and the backward-view camera are carried out,and the optimization schemes for image motion velocity matching and drift angle matching are formulated according the simulation results. Finally, this method is verified with a dynamic imaging experimental system. The results are indicative of that when image motion compensation for nadir-view camera is conducted using the proposed image motion velocity field model, the line pair of target images at Nyquist frequency is clear and distinguishable. Under the constraint that modulation transfer function( MTF) reduces by 5%,when the horizontal frequencies of the forward-view camera and the backward-view camera are adjusted uniformly according to the proposed image motion velocity matching scheme, the time delay integration( TDI) stages reach 6 at most. When the TDI stages are more than 6,the three groups of camera will independently undergo horizontal frequency adjustment. However, when the proposed drift angle matching scheme is adopted for uniform drift angle adjustment, the number of TDI stages will not exceed 81. The experimental results have demonstrated the validity and accuracy of the proposed image motion velocity field model and matching optimization scheme, providing reliable basis for on-orbit image motion compensation of aerospace mapping cameras.展开更多

The gray values of a sub-window are projected onto a line, and sum the gray values which are projected onto one same point to shape a special vector, then rotate the projecting direction, obtain many such vectors corresponding to different projecting directions. The vectors can form a matrix, a GPI matrix of the sub-image. The problem of lines detection is converted into maxima or minima searching problem in the GPI matrix. Bused on the GPI matrix, the lines can be calculated. Different from traditional methods, the algorithm can detect the positions of lines accurately, quickly without previous edge detection, which costs less time, and avoids the error resulted from the poor threshold with traditional methods. This algorithm is useful and efftcient for numerous image understanding applications and robot visual navigation, especially for welded joint position detection in heavy noise.展开更多

First, three coefficients are computed for describing each range and domain block. Then, the best-matched one for every range block is obtained by analysing the relation between their coefficients. Experimental results show that the proposed method can shorten encoding time markedly, while the retrieved image quality is still acceptable. In the decoding step, a kind of simple line fitting on block boundaries is used to reduce blocking effects. At the same time, the proposed method can also achieve a high compression ratio.展开更多

文摘The integration of optical images and elevation data is of great importance for 3D-assisted mapping applications. Very high resolution (VHR) satellite images provide ideal geo-data for mapping building information. Since buildings are inherently elevated objects, these images need to be co-registered with their elevation data for reliable building detection results. 文摘A new efftcient straight line detection algorithm, GPI ( Gray Projecting Integral) method is proposed. This algorithm is useful and efftcient for numerous image understanding applications and robot visual navigation, especially for welded joint position detection in heavy noise.

文摘A new method using plane fitting to decide whether a domain block is similar enough to a given range block is proposed in this paper. At the same time, the proposed method can also achieve a high compression ratio.

文摘Weak structural plane deformation is responsible for the non-uniform large deformation disasters in layered rock tunnels, resulting in steel arch distortion and secondary lining cracking. In this study,a servo biaxial testing system was employed to conduct physical modeling tests on layered rock tunnels with bedding planes of varying dip angles. The influence of structural anisotropy in layered rocks on the micro displacement and strain field of surrounding rocks was analyzed using digital image correlation(DIC)technology. The spatiotemporal evolution of non-uniform deformation of surrounding rocks was investigated, and numerical simulation was performed to verify the experimental results. The findings indicate that the displacement and strain field of the surrounding layered rocks are all maximized at the horizontal bedding planes and decrease linearly with the increasing dip angle. The failure of the layered surrounding rock with different dip angles occurs and extends along the bedding planes.Compressive strain failure occurs after excavation under high horizontal stress. This study provides significant theoretical support for the analysis, prediction, and control of non-uniform deformation of tunnel surrounding rocks.

文摘A novel image hiding method based on the correlation analysis of bit plane is described in this paper. Firstly, based on the correlation analysis, different bit plane of a secret image is hided in different bit plane of several different open images. And then a new hiding image is acquired by a nesting "Exclusive-OR" operation on those images obtained from the first step. At last, by employing image fusion technique, the final hiding result is achieved. The experimental result shows that the method proposed in this paper is effec rive.

文摘Polarimetric imaging enhances the ability to distinguish objects from a bright background by detecting their particular polarization status, which offers another degree of freedom in infrared remote sensing. However,to scale up by monolithically integrating grating-based polarizers onto a focal plane array(FPA)of infrared detectors, fundamental technical obstacles must be overcome, including reductions of the extinction ratio by the misalignment between the polarizer and the detector, grating line width fluctuations, the line edge roughness, etc. This paper reports the authors’latest achievements in overcoming those problems by solving key technical issues regarding the integration of large-scale polarizers onto the chips of FPAs with individual indium gallium arsenide/indium phosphide(In Ga As/In P)sensors as the basic building blocks.Polarimetric and photovoltaic chips with divisions of the focal plane of 540×4 pixels and 320×256 superpixels have been successfully manufactured.Polarimetric imaging with enhanced contrast has been demonstrated. The progress made in this work has opened up a broad avenue toward industrialization of high quality polarimetric imaging in infrared wavelengths.
