Depositional model of the Member Deng-2 marginal microbial mound-bank complex of the Dengying Formation in the southwestern Sichuan Basin, SW China: Implications for the Ediacaran microbial mound construction and hydrocarbon exploration

Recent advances in hydrocarbon exploration have been made in the Member Deng-2 marginal microbial mound-bank complex reservoirs of the Dengying Formation in the western Sichuan Basin, SW China,where the depositional process is regarded confusing. The microfacies, construction types, and depositional model of the Member Deng-2 marginal microbial mound-bank complex have been investigated using unmanned aerial vehicle photography, outcrop section investigation, thin section identification,and seismic reflections in the southwestern Sichuan Basin. The microbialite lithologic textures in this region include thrombolite, dendrolite, stromatolite, fenestral stromatolite, spongiostromata stone,oncolite, aggregated grainstone, and botryoidal grapestone. Based on the comprehensive analysis of“depositional fabrics-lithology-microfacies”, an association between a fore mound, mound framework,and back mound subfacies has been proposed based on water depth, current direction, energy level and lithologic assemblages. The microfacies of the mound base, mound core, mound flank, mound cap, and mound flat could be recognized among the mound framework subfacies. Two construction types of marginal microbial mound-bank complex have been determined based on deposition location, mound scale, migration direction, and sedimentary facies association. Type Jinkouhe microbial mound constructions(TJMMCs) develop along the windward margin owing to their proximity to the seaward subfacies fore mound, with a northeastwardly migrated microbial mound on top of the mud mound,exhibiting the characteristics of large-sized mounds and small-sized banks in the surrounding area. Type E'bian microbial mound constructions(TEMMCs) primarily occur on the leeward margin, resulting from the presence of onshore back mound subfacies, with the smaller southwestward migrated microbial mounds existing on a thicker microbial flat. The platform margin microbial mound depositional model can be correlated with certain lateral comparison profile and seismic reflection structures in the 2D seismic section, which can provide references for future worldwide exploration. Microbial mounds with larger buildups and thicker vertical reservoirs are typically targeted on the windward margin, while small-sized microbial mounds and flats with better lateral connections are typically focused on the leeward margin.

Upper and Lower Bounds of the α-Universal Triple I Method for Unified Interval Implications

Theα-universal triple I(α-UTI)method is a recognized scheme in the field of fuzzy reasoning,whichwas proposed by our research group previously.The robustness of fuzzy reasoning determines the quality of reasoning algorithms to a large extent,which is quantified by calculating the disparity between the output of fuzzy reasoning with interference and the output without interference.Therefore,in this study,the interval robustness(embodied as the interval stability)of theα-UTI method is explored in the interval-valued fuzzy environment.To begin with,the stability of theα-UTI method is explored for the case of an individual rule,and the upper and lower bounds of its results are estimated,using four kinds of unified interval implications(including the R-interval implication,the S-interval implication,the QL-interval implication and the interval t-norm implication).Through analysis,it is found that theα-UTI method exhibits good interval stability for an individual rule.Moreover,the stability of theα-UTI method is revealed in the case of multiple rules,and the upper and lower bounds of its outcomes are estimated.The results show that theα-UTI method is stable for multiple rules when four kinds of unified interval implications are used,respectively.Lastly,theα-UTI reasoning chain method is presented,which contains a chain structure with multiple layers.The corresponding solutions and their interval perturbations are investigated.It is found that theα-UTI reasoning chain method is stable in the case of chain reasoning.Two application examples in affective computing are given to verify the stability of theα-UTImethod.In summary,through theoretical proof and example verification,it is found that theα-UTImethod has good interval robustness with four kinds of unified interval implications aiming at the situations of an individual rule,multi-rule and reasoning chain.

Decoding exercise-induced atomic components and prognostic shifts in endometrial carcinoma through differentially expressed genes

Background:This study aimed to portray the atomic intelligence and prognostic implications of differentially expressed genes and their involvement in biological pathways in endometrial carcinoma,with a specific focus on the impacts of exercise on cancer.Methods:We utilized a multi-faceted approach,including volcano plots,Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analyses,Venn diagrams,protein-protein interaction networks,Kaplan-Meier survival analysis,Gene Set Variety Analysis,and single-cell transcriptomic analysis.Furthermore,we profiled tumor mutational scenes,assessed the prognostic value of immune-related features,and conducted a comprehensive examination of genetic variations and their impact on tumor mutational burden across different cancer types.Multidimensional genomic interactions and methylation elements were also investigated.Using real-time quantitative PCR and immunofluorescence staining,the effects of B-cell lymphoma 2(BCL2)silencing on TNF-αand caspase-3 gene expression were evaluated.Results:Our study identified a noteworthy number of differentially expressed genes in endometrial carcinoma with potential links to athletic performance traits.BCL2 expression levels were found to be associated with survival outcomes,and its changeability across cancers was related to immune cell infiltration and immune checkpoint gene expression.Single-cell investigations uncovered cellular complexity within tumor microenvironments and critical biological pathways in BCL2-overexpressing cells.The expression flow and mutational effect of BCL2 in endometrial carcinoma were characterized,and the prognostic implications of immune-related features were assessed.Hereditary variations,including copy number variations and their relationship with gene expression and tumor mutational burden,were investigated.Multidimensional genomic transaction highlighted the essential role of regulatory genes in cancer pathogenesis.Silencing of the BCL2 gene significantly inhibited the proliferation of HEC-108 cells and promoted apoptosis,as evidenced by decreased TNF-αgene expression and increased caspase-3 gene expression.Immunofluorescence staining further confirmed these results.Conclusion:This study gives a point-by-point understanding of the atomic intelligence and prognostic implications in endometrial carcinoma and across various other cancers.BCL2’s role as a modulatory factor within the tumor-resistant environment and its potential impact on disease prognosis and response to immunotherapy were underscored.The multidimensional genomic analysis provides insights into the complex interaction between genetic and epigenetic variables in cancer,which may shed light on future therapeutic strategies.This study indicates that silencing the BCL2 gene can significantly inhibit tumor cell proliferation and promote apoptosis through the regulation of the TNF-αand caspase-3 pathways.

Exploring the connection between BRCA2 and thyroid cancer

Background:This study investigated the multifaceted role of BRCA2(breast cancer 2)in various cancer types,with a specific focus on thyroid carcinoma(THCA).Methods:Data sets were obtained from the University of California Santa Cruz database to analyze BRCA2 expression,genetic alterations,and clinical implications.Sample filtering criteria were applied,and immunohistochemistry from the Human Protein Atlas was used to validate protein expression.Correlation analyses were used to explore associations between immune-related genes,and immunological signatures were assessed using various tools.Genetic alterations in BRCA2 were analyzed using cBioPortal,and prognostic analysis involved evaluating gene expression differences at different clinical stages of THCA.Results:In patients with THCA,differences in BRCA2 expression were observed at both the mRNA and protein levels when comparing tumor and normal tissues.Correlation studies revealed associations between BRCA2 and immune-related genes,emphasizing its potential role in modulating the tumor microenvironment.Immunological signature analyses indicated distinct frequencies of tumor-infiltrating immune cell subsets in BRCA2 high versus low tumors.Moreover,genetic alterations in BRCA2,particularly the A2738S mutation in exon 18,have been identified in patients with THCA.The prognostic analysis demonstrated a significant correlation between altered BRCA2 levels and improved overall survival in patients with THCA.Additionally,BRCA2 expression was associated with prognostic factors such as stage and N.Conclusions:This study provides a holistic exploration of BRCA2 in cancer and highlights its diverse roles in expression,immune modulation,genetic alterations,and clinical prognosis.These findings underscore the potential significance of BRCA2 as a diagnostic and prognostic marker and offer valuable insights for future research and potential clinical applications in cancer management.

Comparison of the Development Model of DTP Pharmacy between China and the United States and Its Enlightenment

Objective To systematically analyze the development status of DTP pharmacy in the United States and China,and to find out the problems in China’s DTP pharmacy and put forward some countermeasures and suggestions.Methods Relevant literature was searched and reviewed to study the history,market scale and development trend of DTP pharmacy in the United States and China.Then,the problems in China’s DTP pharmacy were found out.Results and Conclusion DTP pharmacy model in the U.S.has taken shape and is maturing.The high degree of industry concentration is an important feature of the U.S.pharmacy.In contrast,China’s DTP pharmacy started late,and the industry pattern has not yet been finalized.There are still some problems in the DTP pharmacy certification and quality management.It is recommended to promote the rapid development of DTP pharmacies in China by encouraging the outflow of prescription drugs,establishing a third-party pharmacy accreditation organization and strengthening the team of licensed pharmacists and other personnel.

Investigating the Air Quality Parameters in Louisiana’s Industrial Corridor: A Baton Rouge Case Study

In a local context, sustainable development entails utilizing the current resources—material and immaterial, measurable and immeasurable, popular and unpopular—of the community in a manner that avoids overexploitation and ensures intergenerational equity. This approach prioritizes the safety and health of local citizens, placing communal productivity above corporate profitability. This research aims to assess air quality surrounding 28 chemical industry sites in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to understand the environmental and health impacts of industrial pollutants, with a focus on environmental justice. Air quality pollutants, including PM2.5, PM10, O3, NO2, CO, and SO2, were monitored for 75 days during the Summer, using the BreezoMeter app. Python, Mapize, and QGIS software technologies were utilized for data analysis and visualization. Findings indicate a reduction in NO2 and CO levels, compared to existing literature. However, the persistent challenge of particulate matter suggests areas for further environmental management efforts. Additionally, the research suggests a significant disparity in air pollution exposure, probably affecting marginalized communities. Although the nature of the study might not fully capture annual pollution trends, the findings highlight the urgent need for the chemical industry to adopt efficient production methods and for policymakers to enhance air quality standards and enforcement, particularly in pollution-sensitive areas. The disproportionate impact of air pollution on vulnerable communities calls for a more inclusive approach to environmental justice, ensuring equitable distribution of clean air benefits and community involvement in pollution management decisions.

The Future of Detroit’s Music Industry:A Descriptive Study of Industry Professional Views

The purpose of the present study was to describe and provide insight on Detroit’s music industry,with the practical goal to inform the current state of music in Detroit and draw conclusive suggestions for bringing music back to a forefront of Detroit.The study drew on a sample of convenience(N=4)by researcher networking and past work in the Detroit music industry.Eight themes were identified in a content analysis of interview responses.The study revealed a deep and common vision shared among diverse industry professionals-to bring national recognition back to Detroit.Everyone wants Detroit’s music industry to make a comeback,however,they realize it is a slow process to achieve that goal.

Divide and recombine approach for warranty database: estimating the reliability of an automobile component

The continuously updated database of failures and censored data of numerous products has become large, and on some covariates, information regarding the failure times is missing in the database. As the dataset is large and has missing information, the analysis tasks become complicated and a long time is required to execute the programming codes. In such situations, the divide and recombine (D&R) approach, which has a practical computational performance for big data analysis, can be applied. In this study, the D&R approach was applied to analyze the real field data of an automobile component with incomplete information on covariates using the Weibull regression model. Model parameters were estimated using the expectation maximization algorithm. The results of the data analysis and simulation demonstrated that the D&R approach is applicable for analyzing such datasets. Further, the percentiles and reliability functions of the distribution under different covariate conditions were estimated to evaluate the component performance of these covariates. The findings of this study have managerial implications regarding design decisions, safety, and reliability of automobile components.

This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of global human trafficking trends over a twenty-year period, leveraging a robust dataset from the Counter Trafficking Data Collaborative (CTDC). The study unfolds in a systematic manner, beginning with a detailed data collection phase, where ethical and legal standards for data usage and privacy are strictly observed. Following collection, the data undergoes a rigorous preprocessing stage, involving cleaning, integration, transformation, and normalization to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis. The analytical phase employs time-series analysis to delineate historical trends and utilizes predictive modeling to forecast future trajectories of human trafficking using the advanced analytical capabilities of Power BI. A comparative analysis across regions—Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe—is conducted to identify and visualize the distribution of human trafficking, dissecting the data by victim demographics, types of exploitation, and duration of victimization. The findings of this study not only offer a descriptive and predictive outlook on trafficking patterns but also provide insights into the regional nuances that influence these trends. The article underscores the prevalence and persistence of human trafficking, identifies factors contributing to its evolution, and discusses the implications for policy and law enforcement. By integrating a methodological approach with quantitative analysis, this research contributes to the strategic planning and resource allocation for combating human trafficking. Comparison of the Development of CDMO at Home and Abroad and Its Enlightment to China

Objective To analyze the development status of contract development manufacturing organization(CDMO)at home and abroad,and to make some suggestions for the development of CDMO in China.Methods The relevant literature was searched and reviewed,and the development status of CDMOs in the United States,France,Japan and China was compared from the aspects of market scale,development process,development focus,advantages and disadvantages,and policy support.Then,some suggestions for the development of CDMO enterprises in China were summarized.Results and Conclusion Through the comparison of CDMO development at home and abroad,it can be seen that China started CDMO late,there were many technical barriers and its globalization layout were not sufficient.However,the development trend was good and it focused on the field of chemical drugs and biological drugs to constantly develop innovative drugs.China needs to continuously improve its own technical capabilities to carry out innovative research.Therefore,cost reduction and efficiency increase will be the key elements for the development of CDMOs,and they are expected to have a rapid and comprehensive development in the future.

The Ban on Illegal Mining in Ghana: Environmental and Socio-Economic Effect on Local Communities

The study was conducted to assess the effects of small-scale (artisanal) gold mining and its social and economic implications on the people in Amansie West District of Ghana. The artisanal gold mining communities were studied using secondary data from scholarly articles and journals, books, conference papers, research reports, policy documents, working papers, and briefs. Descriptive and systematic analyses were conducted. The result indicated that youth aged between 21 - 30 were most likely to engage in illegal mining operations in the selected study areas. The study revealed that farmland had been destroyed, making farming difficult for the inhabitants. It is evident from the review that dug-out pits from mining serve as breeding grounds for mosquitoes and death traps for humans. The study, therefore, accentuates the need for illegal small-scale gold mining to be formalised and strategic interventions and policies proposed for the protection of Ghana’s Natural resources. Furthermore, community members should be involved in policy-making and environmental protection issues to help control the menace of landscape destruction. Although the ban on illegal gold mining activity by the government has caused more people to lose their jobs leading to livelihood challenges in mining communities, it is a step in the right direction, as the ban seeks to halt and check the illegal small-scale mining sector. The study recommended alternative livelihood and income-generating projects such as beekeeping, mushroom culture, grasscutter rearing, and agroforestry technologies including the growth of economic fruit trees as alternative livelihood ventures.

黑龙江杂岩的碎屑锆石年代及其大地构造意义

黑龙江杂岩带位于佳木斯地体西缘,为佳木斯地体向西与松嫩地体之间俯冲、拼贴、碰撞而形成的高压变质带。黑龙江杂岩沿牡丹江断裂分布,其构造-岩石组合、变质变形特征等显示其为佳木斯地体向松嫩地体俯冲拼帖的过程中形成的增生杂岩,目前保存下来的杂岩带应为大规模增生楔仰冲到佳木斯地体之上的残余部分。88颗碎屑锆石的全部样品SHRIMPU-Pb年代学测试结果显示三个主要年龄区间:170～220Ma,峰值年龄为183Ma;240～338Ma,峰值年龄为256Ma;450～520Ma,峰值年龄为470Ma。而28个碎屑锆石谐和年龄的年龄谱为两组:240～338Ma,峰值年龄为256Ma;450～500Ma,峰值年龄为470Ma。碎屑锆石年龄数据分析得到,240～338Ma峰期年龄为256Ma的年龄应代表黑龙江杂岩主体岩石的沉积年龄上限;而450～500Ma的年龄谱对应于佳木斯地体的基底变质岩年龄,显示佳木斯地体的基底变质岩曾为黑龙江杂岩的物源区;而170～210Ma,峰期年龄为183Ma的不谐和年龄应为受印支期-早侏罗世构造热事件的扰动年龄,与该区变质单矿物的Ar-Ar年龄相一致,应代表了该区陆-陆碰撞的时代。上述年龄为黑龙江杂岩的形成与演化提供了重要的地质年代学制约,即黑龙江杂岩的原岩成岩时代上限为早三叠世,佳木斯地体向西的俯冲时代主体为印支期,而陆-陆拼贴及碰撞过程主要为晚印支期并可能持续到早侏罗世。这些结果将为揭示我国东北地区构造演化的年代学格架以及三叠纪古亚洲构造域向环太平洋构造域叠加和转换的动力学背景研究提供新的基本地质事实依据。

栾川上房沟钼矿床流体包裹体特征及其地质意义

上房沟钼矿床位于栾川断裂带北侧的华北克拉通南缘,矿体赋存于晚元古代栾川群碎屑岩-碳酸盐建造中。钼成矿经历了早、中、晚3个阶段:早阶段为钾长石-石英-辉钼矿-黄铁矿组合,中阶段为石英-辉钼矿-多金属硫化物组合,晚阶段以方解石-石英-萤石脉为特征。流体包裹体可划分为富/含CO_2型、含子矿物型和NaCl-H_2O型3类。早、中成矿阶段发育较多CO_2-H_2O型和含子晶型包裹体,晚阶段为NaCl-H_2O型包裹体。早阶段流体具有高温(320℃～500℃)、高盐度(31.75～66.75wt%NaCl eqv.)、富CO_2的特点,显示浆控高温热液矿床的特征;中阶段流体具有中温(190℃～400℃)、中等盐度(2.07～12.85 wt%NaCl eqv.,个别超过30 wt%NaCl eqv.)、富/含CO_2特点;晚阶段为中低温(160℃～260℃)、低盐度(～4.8 wt%NaCl eqv.)、贫CO_2的NaCl-H_2O体系。早、中阶段流体沸腾作用强烈,造成CO_2不断逸失、流体氧化性降低、成矿物质大量沉淀,是成矿的重要机制。
