Strategies for English Oral Skill Improvement Employed by Medical College Students

Research in language learning strategies has addressed the necessity of improving oral skills in second language acquisition.This study attempts to explore the strategies employed by 19 medical students at Qiannan Medical College for Nationalities to improve their oral skills.Semi-structured interview and open-ended questionnaire were used as the instruments for the data collection.The data was then analyzed qualitatively for the purpose of the study.The findings of the study showed that the strategies employed by the students mainly include the strategies to improve speaking skills and the strategies to improve listening skills.The strategies to improve speaking skills include two main categories:fluency-focused strategies and accuracy-focused strategies.The strategies to improve listening skills also include two main categories:direct strategies and indirect strategies.

The mediating role of strengths use between character strengths and mental health in Chinese high school students

The present study aimed to examine the mediating effect of strengths use between character strengths and mental health in high school students. Totally 508 China high school students completed questionnaires measuring character strengths, strengths use and mental health for middle school students＇ inventory. The correlations between character strength, strengths use and mental health were all significantly positive, 0.41 -0.65, P 〈 0.01. Character strengths significantly positively predicted mental health, and standard regression coefficient was 0.65, P 〈 0.01. Strengths use mediated partially the relationship between character strengths and mental health in high school students and the value of mediating effect was 11.3%. Strengths use played a moderated mediating role in the relationship between character strengths and mental health.

Technological Characters and Improvements on Type SLC-S Precalciner Kiln

In this paper the problems on SP kiln period is discussed, whichlead to low CaCO_3 decarbon- ation rate in the hot meal, so that kilncoating is vulnerable and material frequently falls off and blocksthe pre- heater. Excellent effects are achieved when skipping the SPkiln period, neglecting the function of the dividing gate below theC4 preheater and sending the material completely into the calciner.

An Empirical Study on the Improvement of College Students’Positive Mental Characters through the Sandplay Course

In recent years,psychological crisis events have occurred frequently in colleges.Therefore,cultivating students’rational and calm,positive and upward attitude is the current focus of mental health education in colleges.This study aims to explore the intervention effect of sandplay courses on students’positive mental characters.Through the voluntary registration and matching of the public elective course platform,35 students from a university were selected as subjects,including 17 students in the experimental group and 18 students in the control group.From March to July 2024,16 weeks of sandplay course intervention was carried out in the experimental group,while no intervention was done in the control group.The scores of the Positive Mental Characters Scale for Chinese College Students(PMCSCCS)and the Positive Mental Characters Self-Assessment before and after the intervention were statistically analyzed.Both the scale test(t=-3.62,P<0.01)and self-assessment(t=-3.86,P<0.01)of the experimental group had significant improvement in positive mental characters after the intervention,while the control group had no significant difference in positive mental characters scores before and after the intervention.The sandplay course can effectively improve the level of positive mental characters of college students.Schools and families should pay attention to and explore various channels to actively cultivate positive mental characters of college students,so as to lay a solid foundation for their future development and growth.

Discussion on the Ideological and Political Education for Poor College Students

At present,ideological and political education is significant for poor college students.The focus of funding for poor students has gradually transformed from providing economic support for them to ideological and spiritual help,which puts forward higher requirements on how to carry out ideological and political work.It also requires us to advance the work of ideological and moral education and put it in the most important position in the ideological and educational work for poor college students.Combined with the reality of poor college students,we will adhere to the idea of being student-oriented and endeavor to enhance the effectiveness,pertinence,and relevance of the work of ideological and political education.This paper analyzes the significance and problems of ideological and political education for poor college students and puts forward effective ways to solve the problems from the levels of ideology,cognition,and teaching staff.

Creative Writing as a Best Way to Improve Writing Skills of Students

The present paper discusses the notion of creative writing skills. Its purpose is to present a study on the survey about the importance of using creative writing tasks in the academic environment. Teaching the Non-Chinese Speaking Students Origami to Improve Their Interest and Concentration in Learning Chinese Language

The difficulties in learning Chinese faced by non-Chinese students are the subjects of concern in the education sector, especially in writing Chinese characters. We write the characters with strokes and dots, more or less strokes or dots will represent different words and different meanings. Students found these very complicated and confused, thus it leads them to lose their motivation and interest in learning Chinese language. From the beginning of the 1990s, I began using origami as one of the activities to promote the teaching of Chinese in the state school in Melbourne Australia with remarkable results. Program got widely reported by Medias. In 1995, I got the ＂National Excellence in Teaching Awards＂. After I took up the position as the curriculum development officer in University of Hong Kong in 2007, I worked closely with the teachers and students using origami as the theme base learning in Chinese. It helps to increase their understanding of the radicals and parts, so as to improve their confidence in writing Chinese characters.

Research on Ways to Improve the Innovative and Entrepreneurial Ability of Poor College Students in Northwest China

Improving the ability of innovation and Entrepreneurship of impoverished college students in local colleges and universities could alleviate employment pressure to a certain extent, solve employment difficulties and help college students realize their self-worth, which are related to social stability and economic development. By using the methods of questionnaire and individual interviews, this paper investigates some of the students who set up files for poverty alleviation in northwest local colleges and universities, and understand the current situation of innovation and Entrepreneurship of poor college students. It is hoped that the ability of innovation and entrepreneurship can be improved by enhancing the awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship, improving the education system, innovating learning mode, building a practical platform and implementing quality management.

Effects of Doping Trace Sm^(3+) and Gd^(3+) on Luminescent Character of Y_2O_2S∶Eu^(3+)

After trace Sm^3＋ ions and Gd^3＋ ions doping, the emission intensity of red phosphors Y2O2S： Eu^3 ＋ was enhanced and the voltage character （relation between emission intensity and excitation voltage） was improved while the other properties of physics and chemistry were not changed. The origins of enhancement and improvement are discussed. Probably the distortion and the defect of crystals are decreased by the substitution of Gd^3＋ for Y^3＋ instead of Eu^3＋ for Y^3＋ , and thus the Eu^3＋ crystal field is improved, and radiationless process and energy loss resulted from crystal defect are weakened, which leads to increased luminescence intensity and voltage character improvement. The overlapping fluorescent spectra of Y2O2S： Sm^3＋ emission and Y2O2S：Eu^3＋ excitation as well as Eu^3 ＋ excitation spectra transitions spectra lead to energy transfer from Sm^3 ＋ sensitization of Sm^3＋ ions fectively. containing Sm^3＋ excitation the possibility of resonance ions to Eu^3＋ ions, and the to Eu^3＋ ions is achieved effectively.

Research on the oral teaching of university network English in promoting students＇ creative thinking abilities

The positioning of the occupational role and the improvement of the abilities of the college counselors

课堂师生互动行为的机器分析研究

素质教育的主要阵地是课堂,而课堂的主体是教师和学生,两者进行交流最直接的方式就是课堂师生互动,课堂师生互动分析一直受教育工作者的高度关注.该研究采取改进型弗兰德斯编码(IFIAS)理论,根据编码原则对23个课堂实录视频进行编码.在编码类别统计后,利用主成分分析和密度聚类算法,实现基于机器学习的课堂师生互动风格分类,最终将课堂分为学生中心式、师生互动式、教师中心式三个类别.该研究拓展了弗兰德斯互动分析系统的理论价值,为课堂分析提供了一种新的分析方式.通过分析得到许多课堂相关的特征,可以提升课堂师生互动分析的效率,同时为教师提供改进课堂教学的方向.
