In this paper,we present our analysis of the non-cavitating and cavitating unsteady performances of the Potsdam Propeller Test Case(PPTC)in oblique flow.For our calculations,we used the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equation(RANSE)solver from the open-source OpenFOAM libraries.We selected the homogeneous mixture approach to solve for multiphase flow with phase change,using the volume of fluid(VoF)approach to solve the multiphase flow and modeling the mass transfer between vapor and water with the Schnerr-Sauer model.Comparing the model results with the experimental measurements collected during the SecondWorkshop on Cavitation and Propeller Performance– SMP’15 enabled our assessment of the reliability of the open-source calculations.Comparisons with the numerical data collected during the workshop enabled further analysis of the reliability of different flow solvers from which we produced an overview of recommended guidelines(mesh arrangements and solver setups)for accurate numerical prediction even in off-design conditions.Lastly,we propose a number of calculations using the boundary element method developed at the University of Genoa for assessing the reliability of this dated but still widely adopted approach for design and optimization in the preliminary stages of very demanding test cases. 展开更多

As an important agronomic trait, inclination of leaves is crucial Ior crop architecture and grain yields. 10 understand the molecular mechanism controlling rice leaf angles, one rice leaf inclination2 (1c2, three alleles) mutant was identified and functionally characterized. Compared to wild-type plants, lc2 mutants have enlarged leaf angles due to increased cell division in the adaxial epidermis of lamina joint. The LC2 gene was isolated through positional cloning, and encodes a vernalization insensitive 3-like protein. Complementary expression of LC2 reversed the enlarged leaf angles of lc2 plants, confirming its role in controlling leaf inclination. LC2 is mainly expressed in the lamina joint during leaf development, and particularly, is induced by the phytohormones abscisic acid, gibberellic acid, auxin, and brassinosteroids. LC2 is localized in the nucleus and defects of LC2 result in altered expression of cell division and hormone-responsive genes, indicating an important role of LC2 in regulating leaf inclination and mediating hormone effects. 展开更多

Currently the service life of CDQ shafts in China is mainly restricted by the properties of the inclined flue bricks.In this work,based on the systematic analysis of the damage mechanism of inclined flue refractories,high performance mullite-SiC bricks were developed.The bricks were produced by corundum,andalusite,SiC and other high purity raw materials.Metal silicon and alumina ultra micropowder were added to form dispersion multi-phase structure,fortifying the matrix and improving the microstructure.The products have excellent properties such as low porosity,high density,good wear resistance,high refractoriness under load,and good thermal shock resistance.The products can replace the ordinary mullite-SiC bricks and obtain a good service life. 展开更多

The PET/COPET and PA6/PET hydroentangled fabrics were made by using designed inclined water jet apparatus. Effects of basis weight, water jets inclination angle and water jet pressure were discussed. The comparison was made on the average tensile strength of fabrics made by perpendicular water jets (0^o inclination angle) and inclined water jets of 20^o with pressure levels of 3 bars and 7 bars. It was found that increases of water jet pressure, the fabrics tensile strength were increased. Furthermore, increases of water jets inclination angle, fabric tensile strength of 60 g/m^2 fabrics decreased while for 100 g/m^2 fabrics tensile strength increased. 展开更多

A hybrid ventilation scheme applied to bidirectional excavation tunnel construction with a long inclined shaft

The breakage and bending of ducts result in a difficulty to cope with ventilation issues in bidirectional excavation tunnels with a long inclined shaft using a single ventilation method based on ducts.To discuss the hybrid ventilation system applied in bidirectional excavation tunnels with a long inclined shaft,this study has established a full-scale computational fluid dynamics model based on field tests,the Poly-Hexcore method,and the sliding mesh technique.The distribution of wind speed,temperature field,and CO in the tunnel are taken as indices to compare the ventilation efficiency of three ventilation systems(duct,duct-ventilation shaft,duct–ventilated shaft-axial fan).The results show that the hybrid ventilation scheme based on duct-ventilation shaft–axial fan performs the best among the three ventilation systems.Compared to the duct,the wind speed and cooling rate in the tunnel are enhanced by 7.5%–30.6%and 14.1%–17.7%,respectively,for the duct-vent shaft-axial fan condition,and the volume fractions of CO are reduced by 26.9%–73.9%.This contributes to the effective design of combined ventilation for bidirectional excavation tunnels with an inclined shaft,ultimately improving the air quality within the tunnel. 展开更多

为深入分析抽水蓄能电站斜(竖)井事故致因因素的属性特征,提高抽水蓄能电站斜(竖)井施工的安全性和可靠性,运用扎根理论对98起斜(竖)井事故进行编码,提取出91个致因因素;采用决策实验室分析法(DEMATEL)定量分析各个致因因素之间的相互关... 为深入分析抽水蓄能电站斜(竖)井事故致因因素的属性特征,提高抽水蓄能电站斜(竖)井施工的安全性和可靠性,运用扎根理论对98起斜(竖)井事故进行编码,提取出91个致因因素;采用决策实验室分析法(DEMATEL)定量分析各个致因因素之间的相互关系;运用解释结构模型(ISM)对风险因素开展层级特征分析,并构建多层递阶结构模型;通过交叉影响矩阵相乘(MICMAC)的方法,进一步分析风险因素的属性特征。结果表明:A14安全风险辨识不到位等11个因素的中心度值相对较高,需重视,且土体滑落需进一步加强管控;致因因素可划分为自治、依赖、关联和独立4类要素,7个层级,并明确各层级致因因素的属性特征,其中,管理原因属于关联因素,是斜(竖)井施工事故发生的高发因素。研究结果可为预防斜(竖)井事故的发生提供理论参考。 展开更多

为解决高海拔环境下富水隧道抽排水问题,保证施工安全和进度,以我国新建成世界海拔最高的西藏林拉公路米拉山特长公路隧道为工程依托,利用理论分析和现场测试等方法,分析高海拔富水隧道涌水量特点、高海拔环境下抽排水机械设备的降效特... 为解决高海拔环境下富水隧道抽排水问题,保证施工安全和进度,以我国新建成世界海拔最高的西藏林拉公路米拉山特长公路隧道为工程依托,利用理论分析和现场测试等方法,分析高海拔富水隧道涌水量特点、高海拔环境下抽排水机械设备的降效特性及设备选型配置原则,设计斜井辅助正洞施工抽排水方案并对水泵排水量及扬程等进行核算。研究表明:1)米拉山隧道穿越富水断层,施工中水量巨大、涌水持续时间长、水量分布不均;2)高海拔环境对抽排水机械设备的影响显著,测试表明发电机组、抽水机组最高输出功率仅为额定功率的66.2%和90%;斜井辅助主洞施工段设置3级固定泵站,泵站抽水设备采用不同功率的水泵和增压泵,水泵选型配套验算显示水管选型、水泵扬程均满足要求。 展开更多

Stability analysis and grouting treatment of inclined shaft lining structure in water-rich strata: A case study

The stability of inclined shaft lining structure (ISLS) in complex water-rich strata is affected by many factors, suchas water pressure, joint, soft rock, lining corrosion and so on. The instability of the ISLS will affect the safe andefficient coal mine production. Bathe sed on the geological conditions of the Xiaobaodang coal mine, this papertested the evolution characteristics of concrete composition in long-term water seepage areas and revealed theinfluence mechanism of corrosion weakening of shaft lining (SL) in water-rich strata. Meanwhile, transientelectromagnetic, ground penetrating radar, and infrared monitoring are used to detect the water-rich zones, anddamage zones of surrounding rock and lining water seepage zones, and a three-level safety evaluation model forthe instability risk of ISLS is constructed. Water abundance of the surrounding rock, surrounding rock deterioration, and shaft lining seepage were the specific indicators in the model. The main inclined shaft (MIS) in thestudied coal mine is divided into three levels: non instability risk zone, potential instability risk zone, and highinstability risk zone. According to the evaluation results, comprehensive prevention and control measures of“hydrophobic hole drainage” and “back-lining grouting” are adopted for the water inrush source and the surrounding rock micro-crack water channel. The precise prevention and control of ISLS is realized. The researchresults also provide a reference for the stability evaluation of ISLS and the accurate prevention and control undersimilar conditions. 展开更多
