The reliability and accuracy of interpersonal perception in the virtual environment is an intriguing issue. Using the Social relations model (SRM) [1], this paper investigates interpersonal perception in virtual groups from a multilevel perspective. In particular, it examines the following three areas: homophily, identification, and individual attraction, and explores how much of these directional and dyadic relational evaluations can be attributed to the effect of the actor, the partner, and the relationship.展开更多

At present, the treatment of laryngeal cancer is mainly surgical treatment or postoperative radiotherapy. The surgery is delicate, complex, time-consuming and traumatic. Postoperative patients are prone to dysphagia, leading to an increase in the incidence of malnutrition. Malnutrition can cause a series of negative effects, including weight loss, increased incidence of infection, reduced tolerance of anti-tumor treatment, and extended length of hospital stay. Therefore, how to effectively improve the nutritional status of laryngeal cancer patients through nursing intervention has become an important topic of nursing research. Objective: Investigate the effect of individualized nutrition intervention care combined with swallowing training on postoperative nutritional status in patients with laryngeal cancer. Methods: A total of 120 consecutive patients who underwent laryngeal surgery at our hospital for the first time between May 2018 and May 2021 were selected for the study and equally divided into the control group and the study group by the random number table method, with 60 patients in each group. Patients in the control group were given swallowing function training and health counseling, and the study group adopted individualized nutrition intervention care based on the control group. The nutritional status, swallowing function, and quality of life (QOL) of the patients were assessed using the Patient-generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA), MD Anderson Dysphagia Inventory (MDADI), and Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core30 (QLQ-C30) before the intervention and three months after the intervention. Results: Before the intervention, the scores of MDADI, PG-SGA, and QLQ-C30 were not significantly different between the two groups (P > 0.05), and three months after the intervention, the scores of MDADI and QLQ-C30 increased and the score of PG-SGA decreased in the study group, with significant differences (P 0.05). At three months after the intervention, patients in the study group had higher scores on MDADI, QLQ-C30 and lower scores on PG-SGA than the control group, with significant differences (P Conclusion: Combining individualized nutrition intervention care with swallowing training improves the postoperative nutritional status, swallowing function, and QOL of patients with laryngeal cancer.展开更多

The objective is to apply the thermal efficiency of heat exchangers for localized determination of the thermal performance of heat exchangers with individually finned heat pipes. The fundamental parameters used for performance analysis were the number of fins per heat pipe, the number of heat pipes, the inlet temperatures, and the flow rates of hot and cold fluids. The heat exchanger under analysis uses Freon 404A as a working fluid in an air conditioning system for cooling in the Evaporator and energy recovery in the Condenser. The theoretical model is localized and applied individually to the Evaporator, Condenser, and heat exchanger regions. The results obtained through the simulation are compared with experimental results that use a global approach for the heat exchanger. The thermal quantities obtained through the theoretical model in the mentioned regions are air velocity, Nusselt number, thermal effectiveness, heat transfer rate, and outlet temperature. The comparisons made with global experimental results are in excellent agreement, demonstrating that the localized theoretical approach developed is consistent and can be used as a comprehensive analysis tool for heat exchangers using heat pipes.展开更多

文摘Background:Patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)who undergo surgical resection and receive effective chemotherapy have the best chance for longterm survival.Unfortunately, because of the heterogeneity of pancreatic cancer,it is difficult to find a personalized treatment strategy for patients.Organoids are ideal preclinical models for personalized medicine. Therefore,we explore the cultivation conditions and construction methods of PDAC organoid models to screen the individualized therapy strategy. Methods:Fresh PDAC tissues from surgical resection were collected and digested with digestive enzymes;then the tumor cells were embedded in Matrigel with a suitable medium to establish the PDAC organoid models. The genetic stability of the organoids was analyzed using whole exon sequencing;hematoxylin and eosin staining and immunohistochemistry of organoids were performed to analyze their consistency with the pathological morphology of the patient's tumor tissue; After 2 days of organoid culture,we selected four commonly used clinical chemotherapy drugs for single or combined treatment to analyze drug sensitivity. Results:Two cases of PDAC organoid models were successfully established, and the results of their pathological characteristics and exome sequencing were consistent with those of the patient's tumor tissue. Both PDAC organoids showed more sensitivity to gemcitabine and cisplatin, and the combined treatment was more effective than monotherapy. Conclusion:Both organoids better retained the pathological characteristics, genomic stability, and heterogeneity with the original tumor.Individual PDAC organoids exhibited different sensitivities to the same drugs. Thus, this study provided ideal experimental models for screening individualized therapy strategy for patients with PDAC.
文摘Objective:To evaluate early efficacy of sputum conversion within 6 months of individual regimens containing bedaquiline in patients with drug resistant tuberculosis. Methods:We conducted a retrospective study among patients with drug resistant tuberculosis who were receiving individual regimens containing bedaquiline. The primary outcome was sputum conversion of both smear and culture within 6 months of treatment. We used medical records of drug resistant tuberculosis patients from January 2020 to December 2021.The study was conducted at Dr.Soetomo Hospital,Indonesia from August to October 2022.Results:In this study,44 eligible drug resistant tuberculosis patients were initiated on regimens containing bedaquiline. There were 52.3%males and the median age was 45.5 years. The rates of previous treatment(70.5%)and lung cavity(36.4%)were high. The most common companion drugs included clofazimine, cycloserine, levofloxacin, and linezolid.Sputum smear and culture conversion was seen in 79.4%and 82.1%at the 2nd month, respectively.More than 97%patients had smear and culture conversion at the end of 6 months. Conclusions:Among drug resistant tuberculosis patients, individual regimens containing bedaquiline were associated with high rates of smear and culture conversion at the end of 6 months.Early efficacy of regimens containing bedaquiline can be used to predict cure rate at the end of treatment.
文摘Inventory data were available from 96 plots of even-aged,monoculture,tall-open forests of Eucalyptus pilularis Smith, aged 2-63 years, growing in sub-tropical regions along the east coast of Australia.A model was developed relating the maximum possible stem basal area growth rate of individual trees to their stem basal area. For any tree size, this maximum increased as site productivity increased. However, the size at which this maximum occurred decreased as productivity increased.Much research has shown that,at any stand age, trees of a particular stem basal area are taller on more productive sites than on less productive ones.Taller trees incur greater respiratory costs to ensure maintenance of the photo synthetic capacity of their canopies;this reduces their growth rates. It was concluded that trees with larger basal areas will have the maximum possible growth rate on a less productive site, whilst trees with smaller basal areas will have the maximum possible on a more productive site. The model developed may constitute the first stage of a complete individual tree growth model system to predict wood yields from these forests.

文摘Background:Mushrooms are a good source of many nutrients which are potentially beneficial for chronic diseases. We speculated that due to its abundant nutrients edible mushrooms might have a beneficial effect on the prevention of subclinical thyroid dysfunction(SCTD).Therefore,we designed a large-scale cohort study to examine whether mushrooms consumption is a protective factor for SCTD in adults. Methods:This prospective cohort study investigated 6631 participants(mean age:(45.0±10.2)years;55.1%men).Edible mushrooms consumption was measured at baseline using a validated food frequency questionnaire.SCTD was defined as abnormal serum thyroid-stimulating hormone levels and normal free thyroxine.Cox proportional hazards regression models were used to examine the association of edible mushrooms consumption with incident SCTD.Results:During follow-up period,a total of 262 new cases of SCTD were identified, the incidence rate of subclinical hypothyroidism was 8.9/1000 person-years and subclinical hyperthyroidism was 7.2/1000 person-years.After adjusting potential confounding factors, the multivariable hazard ratios(95%confidence intervals)for subclinical hypothyroidism were 1.00(reference)for almost never,0.53(0.29,0.97)for 1-3 times/week and 0.30(0.10,0.87)for≥4 times/week(P for trend=0.02).It also showed edible mushrooms consumption was inversely associated with subclinical hypothyroidism in obese individuals but not non-obese individuals, the final hazard ratios(95%confidence intervals)were 0.14(0.03,0.73)(P for trend<0.01).Conclusions:This population-based prospective cohort study has firstly demonstrated that higher edible mushrooms consumption was significantly associated with lower incidence of subclinical hypothyroidism among general adult population, especially in obese individuals.
文摘With the penetration of the Internet, virtual groups have become more and more popular. The reliability and accuracy of interpersonal perception in the virtual environment is an intriguing issue. Using the Social relations model (SRM) [1], this paper investigates interpersonal perception in virtual groups from a multilevel perspective. In particular, it examines the following three areas: homophily, identification, and individual attraction, and explores how much of these directional and dyadic relational evaluations can be attributed to the effect of the actor, the partner, and the relationship.
文摘Introduction: Laryngeal carcinoma accounts for 13.9% of head and neck tumors, and squamous cell carcinoma is the main pathological type. At three months after the intervention, patients in the study group had higher scores on MDADI, QLQ-C30 and lower scores on PG-SGA than the control group, with significant differences (P Conclusion: Combining individualized nutrition intervention care with swallowing training improves the postoperative nutritional status, swallowing function, and QOL of patients with laryngeal cancer.
文摘This work contributes to the improvement of energy-saving in air conditioning systems. The comparisons made with global experimental results are in excellent agreement, demonstrating that the localized theoretical approach developed is consistent and can be used as a comprehensive analysis tool for heat exchangers using heat pipes.

文摘The detection of quasi-periodic oscillations(QPOs)in magnetar giant flares(GFs)has brought a new perspective to studies of the mechanism of magnetar bursts.Due to the scarcity of GFs,searching for QPOs in magnetar short bursts is reasonable. Here we report the detection of a narrow QPO at approximately 110 Hz and a wide QPO at approximately 60 Hz in the short magnetar burst SGR 150228213,with a confidence level of 3.35σ.This burst was initially attributed to 4U 0142+61 by Fermi/GBM on location, but we have not detected such QPOs in other bursts from this magnetar. We also found that there was a repeating fast radio burst associated with SGR 150228213 on location. Finally,we discuss the possible origins of SGR 150228213.
