Entrepreneurial Orientation and Innovation Ecosystems in the Industrial Sector, Central Region, Kampala, Uganda: A Review

This review explores entrepreneurial orientation and innovation ecosystems in the industrial sector of the Central Region, Kampala, Uganda, through an analysis of ten scholarly articles. The study contextualizes the research within the regional landscape and establishes a theoretical framework through a focused literature review. Key findings highlight the intersection of entrepreneurial activities and innovation dynamics, emphasizing the region’s unique contributions to the broader field. Discussions on discrepancies and unexplored territories within the articles offer insights into limitations and research gaps. The manuscript concludes by identifying future research avenues, providing a roadmap for ongoing inquiry into the entrepreneurial and innovative dimensions of the Central Region’s industrial sector. This synthesis underscores the importance of cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative innovation strategies for sustainable industrial development in the region.

The Value Orientation of the Legal System Innovation in Rural Financial Organizations in China

The process of new-type urbanization in China has changed the rural financial demand pattern,for which the peasant household is the subject,and caused its financial demand to change and increase at the same time. As the subject of the rural financial supply, rural financial organizations have to accelerate their institutional innovation and innovation of financial products and services,only through which can they break the financial bottleneck in the process of urbanization. Legislation is the only route for the rural financial organizational system construction and perfection in China. The formation of legal system of rural financial organizations is influenced by factors such as politics,economy and system,as well as the real demand of the rural financial subject,so the value orientation takes on a paradoxical movement of coexistence,competition and integration,which is in great need of more value consensus through system practice and enhancement of management concept for rural financial organizations.

Investigating the mediating role of innovation capabilities in relationship between strategic orientation and market performance: a case study of Tabriz State Hospitals

Introduction:Innovation is the creation of new products,services,processes or systems that first begin with a thought and is put into operation after successful implementation.This research aims to investigate the mediating role of innovation capabilities in relationship between strategic orientation and market performance in Tabriz state hospitals.Methods:This study is an applied research in terms of the purpose and it is a descriptive-correlative research in terms of methodology.The statistical population involves the staff of Tabriz state hospitals consisting 362 individuals who were selected randomly.A questionnaire was used to collect data from statistical sample.The strategic orientation was operationally defined based on Laek Cannon et al.’s(2011)model,innovation capabilities were defined based on Jimens-Jimens and Sanz Vale’s(2010)model and market performance was defined based on Hajipour et al.’s model(2012).Results:The results showed that the value of CHI SQUAR/DF for the estimated model is 0.817 which indicates the proper fitness of the model.Considering the standardized factor loads and meaningfulness coefficient it can be suggested that strategic orientation affects market performance with the mediating role of innovation capabilities.Meanwhile,the effect of strategic orientation and innovation capabilities on the market performance was confirmed based on the linear regression results.Conclusion:Innovation capabilities play an active role in the relationship between strategic orientation and market performance.Therefore,senior management of organizations needs to work to improve their performance by supporting the ability to innovate and formulating and implementing strategic orientations.

Teaching Innovation and Practice of Basic Computer Courses in Local Colleges and Universities

The rapid advancement of information technology poses significant pedagogical challenges for basic computer courses in local colleges and universities.This study proposes a comprehensive framework for instructional innovation,encompassing the restructuring of course content,enrichment of teaching resources,reformulation of instructional methods,and the establishment of feedback channels,as well as a comprehensive framework for optimizing assessment mechanisms.The implementation of this framework has yielded remarkable outcomes,including heightened classroom engagement and academic rigor as well as an overall enhancement in students’critical thinking and practical skills.These transformative changes have propelled basic computer courses in local higher education institutions to a new stage while offering valuable insights for future pedagogical reforms.

Research on the effects of command-and-control and market-oriented policy tools on China's energy conservation and emissions reduction innovation

The impact of environmental regulation on technology innovation is a hot spot in current research where a large number of empirical studies are based on Porter Hypothesis(PH). However, there are still controversies in academia about the establishment of "weak" and "narrow" versions of PH. Based on the panel data of application for patent of energy conservation and emission reduction(ECER) technology of Chinese city scale during 2008-2014, comprehensive energy price, pollutant emission, etc., mixed regression model and systematic generalized method of moments method were adopted, respectively,to study the impact of market-oriented and command-and-control policy tool on China's ECER technology innovation. The results show that the environmental regulation hindered the technological innovation in the immediate phase; however, it turned out to be positive in the first-lag phase. Hence, the establishment of "weak" PH is time-bounded. The command-and-control policy tool played a more positive role in promoting technological innovation in the first-lag phase than market-oriented policy tool. Therefore, "narrow" PH is not tenable. The reason is that the main participants of China's ECER technology innovation are state-owned companies and public institutions. Regionally speaking, the impact which command-and-control policy tool has on technological innovation at sight was nonsignificant in the eastern, the central, and the western regions of China whilst market-oriented policy tool had a negative effect. And market-oriented policy tool in the central region had strongest negative effect, which would diminish in the eastern region and become weakest in the western region. This was related to regional energy consumption level and the market economic vitality.

National Innovation-Oriented City Evaluation Study Based on Two-Stage DEA Model

The research on the evaluation indicator system of innovation-oriented cities has a long history. It presents different characteristics in different countries or regions. In 2006, China proposed the national strategy to build an innovation-oriented nation and subsequently approved more than 60 pilot cities in the country. The research on China’s innovation-oriented city assessment system is also increasing. On the basis of predecessors, this paper constructs innovation-oriented city evaluation indicator system with more links based on innovation link. It has three categories with 44 indicators in total according to input, intermediate output and final output. It creatively introduces in two-stage DEA model on sharing input and constructs the evaluation model based on the above evaluation indicator system. This paper makes an empirical analysis on the innovation-oriented cities in Yangtze River Delta including Hefei, arrives at innovation efficiency difference and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for the analysis results.

Strategic orientation and innovative behavior of private enterprises in responding to environmental regulations——An empirical analysis based on the Zhejiang textile sector survey

Private enterprises are facing the dual pressures of dwindling internal and external demand and tightening environmental regulations amid the global financial crisis.Strategies adopted by private enterprises to respond to environmental regulations can be divided into pro-active and defensive response strategies.The decision of an enterprise on whether to adopt green technology is dependent to a large extent on the strategic orientation of the enterprise for environmental protection.In the face of tightening environmental regulations,pro-active enterprises are more inclined than their defensive counterparts to adopt green techniques or develop green products.This paper represents an attempt to conduct an empirical analysis of the strategic orientation and green innovation behavior of private enterprises in responding to environmental regulations based on a field survey of the Zhejiang textile sector. It offers recommendations for the Chinese government to formulate and implement environmental regulation policy tailored to private enterprises.

“一点两线三面”创新实验平台的构建与实践

传统化学实验室功能单一、分布零散、共享性差,导致实验用房和实验设备利用效率低,这种建设模式不利于多学科知识的交叉融合,一定程度上影响学生综合素质的发展。本研究秉承“建优质平台,抓实践育人,树创新理念,育创新人才”的指导思想,在化学实验室资源整合共享、利用率提升、开放式管理以及创新应用型人才培养质量提升等方面积极进行教学改革,经过多年探索,搭建起“以提升学生创新实践能力为着力点”“教学科研两条主线”“教学科研三层面”的创新实验(训)平台,取得了一定成效,将为同类高校的创新实验(训)平台建设提供参考。

数字情境下产品创新对新企业成长的影响

以数字情境下新企业为研究对象,构建产品创新、投机导向、不良竞争和新企业成长间的关系模型。通过对北京、深圳、上海等城市的350份新企业样本的实证研究发现:数字情境下产品创新积极影响新企业成长,即数字技术赋能新企业高效率整合内外部资源,以更好地发挥产品创新的推动作用;投机导向抑制了产品创新对新企业成长的积极影响,即投机导向越高,产品创新的积极影响受到制约越强;不良竞争行为抑制了产品创新对新企业成长的积极影响,即不良竞争行为越强,产品创新的积极影响受到制约越强。

高校创新创业教育“赛创融合”评价机制构建

普通高校创新创业教育具有综合性、实践性、创造性等显著特征,既是大学生学习效能提高的重要途径与方法,同时也是中国式现代化建设人才所应具备的核心素养和关键能力的终极性表达。“赛创融合”是提升创新创业教育实施质量的重要路径,也是构建其长效激励机制的有效手段。化结果导向型为过程激励型的评价改革,是促进这一激励机制长效化的关键。高校和教师在“赛创融合”中不仅要能够甄别大学生在创新创业教育中的学习缺陷,还要为学生提供更好的学习指导,将大学生创新创业教育落实落细落长远,最终实现学生终身学习能力的培养。通过开发设计用于过程激励型评价的奖励函数,并以问卷获得学生状态的转移概率矩阵,基于最大化学生可能获得奖励的方式进行仿真,修正和改进评价指标,能够实现创新创业教育长效激励机制严密科学可操作,提升其过程激励型评价效能。

应用型高校“双创”教育实践基地建设方略

高校“双创”教育实践基地是服务学生、服务教学的创新创业教育及实践软硬环境,其建设集人、项目、管理为一体,是增强大学生综合能力的重要教育环节,也是新时代培养创新型人才、构建创新型社会的重要载体。文章以应用型人才培养为视域,厘清应用型高校“双创”教育实践基地建设发展的现状、功能定位及发展困境,从确定有效目标、坚持开放发展、规范过程管理、有偿合理收费、实现特色发展等方面提出了提升基地建设及运行质量的基本理念,在此基础上从顶层设计、专创融合、校企协同、导师团队建设、创业资金、收费及使用模式、管理制度、管理服务体系等层面探索有效建设与发展路径。

应用型本科高校创新创业教育探析

以应用型本科高校为依托实体,阐述创新创业教育内涵,从三个维度、三个角色、三个形式来论述创新创业教育目标,分析创新创业教育本质,总结创新创业教育目前存在的主要问题,并对问题进行详细剖析,进而提出转变“双创”教育观念、效仿产教融合模式、多方参与孵化基地的建设等对策。

地方环境立法、环境司法与企业绿色创新--基于立法与司法协同视角

企业绿色创新是人与自然和谐现代化的基础和托底,是企业实施绿色转型战略的必然路径。基于机器学习和文本分析法从经济价值导向维度和生态价值导向维度衡量企业绿色创新,并以2007年开始陆续在全国各地设置专门环境法庭为背景,将地方环境立法与环境司法纳入同一分析框架,利用2004-2020年中国A股上市公司数据,研究地方环境立法与环境司法协同对企业绿色创新的影响。研究发现,环境立法和环境司法具有促进企业绿色创新的协同作用,这一结论在进行一系列稳健性检验后仍然成立;机制检验结果表明,环境司法协同环境立法能够通过增加企业环境成本和促进企业主动进行绿色战略调整来驱动企业进行绿色创新;通过进一步分析发现,相较于经济价值导向绿色创新,企业更加倾向选择生态价值导向绿色创新,并且在国有企业、成本转嫁能力低的企业、处于经济上行期的企业、处于官员绿色政绩考核时期的企业以及管制行业企业中,协同作用更加显著。研究结果拓展了企业绿色创新的驱动因素,对政府推进环境治理、加速企业绿色转型提供了重要启示。

公共采购模式变革:从创新中性到创新友好

公共采购是拉动创新的核心工具之一,公共采购模式限定了相关主体的行动空间,对公共采购发挥驱动创新的政策价值具有重要影响。基于开放式创新视角与创新导向型公共采购的基本原理,对公共采购模式影响创新的关键因素进行系统识别,构建有序probit模型,运用来自供应商的调查数据进行实证分析。结果发现:我国现行的公共采购模式设计呈现创新中性特征;需求表达方式、采购数字化、需求重叠度等因素对供应商创新性响应具有显著正向影响;将上述因素嵌入相关公共采购制度,可以提高我国公共采购模式的创新友好程度。最后,提出公共采购模式变革的基本思路:在兼顾成本导向与创新导向的情况下,对公共采购模式进行分类设计,包括常规型集中采购、常规型分散采购、创新导向型集中采购和创新导向型分散采购。

生成式人工智能赋能跨学科创新思维培养:内在机理与模式构建

在学科融合趋势日益迅猛的时代背景下,培养学生的跨学科创新思维是当前教育的重要目标之一。作为人工智能时代的突破性技术,生成式人工智能给技术赋能教育带来了巨大的机遇与挑战。基于此,文章聚焦跨学科教育领域,首先阐释了跨学科创新思维的基本内涵和分类,在此基础上归纳出跨学科创新思维的四个发生要素:多学科知识基础、基本的创新思维、团队沟通与协作、产出导向。然后,文章剖析了生成式人工智能赋能跨学科创新思维培养的四个核心功能:高效信息检索与整合、多轮对话与角色模拟、评价与反馈、生成与创作。在此基础上,文章厘清了生成式人工智能赋能跨学科创新思维培养的内在机理。最后,文章从“课前-课中-课后”教学评一体化的视角,基于面向设计的产生式学习模式(Design-oriented Production-Based Learning,DoPBL),构建了生成式人工智能赋能跨学科创新思维培养的教学模式。文章通过研究,旨在为人工智能时代下如何培养学生的跨学科创新思维提供理论和实践参考。
