The degree of the low intensity of land use needs to be evaluated. The current method of comprehensive evaluation and grading by one index system has the limitations due to the existence of differences between regions and industries. This paper evaluates industrial land use intensity by Total Factor Productivity (TFP) analysis, which not only measures the intensity but also illustrates the ef-ficiency of input factors. This method is applied to the Beijing Economic-technological Development Area (BDA). A comparison analysis on factor use efficiency and input structure of capital and labor between industries is also carried out in the absence of a labor-income ratio.展开更多

Certain environmental regulations have been in place accordingly in various regions, but the pollution in the central and western regions has risen sharply. Based on the data of interprovincial panel in China from 2006 to 2015, this paper calculates high-pollution industry dynamic agglomeration index, environmental pollution agglomeration index and relative environmental regulation intensity index, and uses Generalized Method of Moments to carry out the regression analyses of the whole samples, regional heterogeneity and temporal heterogeneity. The results show that there is an inverted Ushaped relationship between relative environmental regulation and environmental pollution concentration in China. The concentration degrees of industrial wastewater pollution and industrial waste gas pollution are deepened, which are mainly caused by the transfer of highly polluting industries. However, the concentration of industrial solid waste pollution caused by the transfer is not obvious. Furthermore, the deepening of industrialization intensifies the concentration of regional environmental pollution. Environmental Kuznets Curve does exist in China, but it is not significant. The increase of labor cost and quality will reduce the concentration of environmental pollution.展开更多

In the paper, we made a research on the correlation between china's three main industries and carbon emission intensity to find out the main factors which affect the intensity of carbon emission in China by measuring the gross emission in china's 28 main provinces in 2003-2013 and using Grey correlation analysis based on the change tendency. The results indicate that the second industry has the largest correlation with carbon emission intensity; the tertiary industry helps reduce the intensity of carbon emission, but it is not very obvious; the first industry has the least impact on carbon emission intensity. In the last part, according to the characteristics of industrial structure and carbon emission, we put forward the suggestions and strategies on the adjustment of china's industrial structure in future with the results analysis.展开更多

GHG emissions mitigation for the global climate changes has been the focus of concern of the world. As the biggest developing country and the second largest country of carbon-emission, China attaches importance to the carbon emission reduction. The major GHG component is carbon dioxide and in China, the emission of carbon dioxide is mainly from industrial production. In the paper, the status and trend of Co2 emission from industrial departments, high-carbon emission and its specific industries are shown in statistics. Meanwhile, the policy environment, industrial organization structure and technology of carbon high emission are all discussed based on practical situations in these departments and industries. At the end, through the analysis of gray correlation, correlativity is explored for both fossil energy consumption and total carbon emission, and also for the production value and carbon emission of each industrial sector. Some policy proposals for the establishment of low-carbon industries and transition of economic development pattern are set forth.展开更多

文摘China’s low-carbon development path will make significant contributions to achieving global sustainable development goals.Due to the diverse natural and economic conditions across different regions in China, there exists an imbalance in the distribution of car-bon emissions. Therefore, regional cooperation serves as an effective means to attain low-carbon development. This study examined the pattern of carbon emissions and proposed a potential joint emission reduction strategy by utilizing the industrial carbon emission intens-ity(ICEI)as a crucial factor. We utilized social network analysis and Local Indicators of Spatial Association(LISA)space-time trans-ition matrix to investigate the spatiotemporal connections and discrepancies of ICEI in the cities of the Pearl River Basin(PRB),China from 2010 to 2020.The primary drivers of the ICEI were determined through geographical detectors and multi-scale geographically weighted regression. The results were as follows:1)the overall ICEI in the Pearl River Basin is showing a downward trend, and there is a significant spatial imbalance.2)There are numerous network connections between cities regarding the ICEI,but the network structure is relatively fragile and unstable.3)Economically developed cities such as Guangzhou,Foshan, and Dongguan are in the center of the network while playing an intermediary role.4)Energy consumption, industrialization, per capita GDP,urbanization, science and techno-logy,and productivity are found to be the most influential variables in the spatial differentiation of ICEI,and their combination in-creased the explanatory power of the geographic variation of ICEI.Finally, through the analysis of differences and connections in urban carbon emissions under different economic levels and ICEI,the study suggests joint carbon reduction strategies, which are centered on carbon transfer, financial support, and technological assistance among cities.

A comparison analysis on factor use efficiency and input structure of capital and labor between industries is also carried out in the absence of a labor-income ratio.

文摘This article explores the effects of investment upon energy intensity by applying a unique panel data of China's 27 provinces between 2004 and 2013.In addition,it also particularly stuthes other factors, such as energy price, economic structure, and urbanization. The results, based on four econometric regression model results, suggest that in general, the indigenous investment on research and development is a more powerful tool to decrease China's energy intensity regardless of region disparity. The foreign direct investment(FDI) has a prominent but not persistent effect on energy intensity. However, the outward direct investment has not shown its significant impact on energy intensity. At the level of an aggregate economy and China's eastern region, the results demonstrate that FDI improves energy efficiency significantly. For the central and western provinces,FDI does not support the similar conclusion.Based on these analyses,we present the corresponding regional policies for policymakers.

文摘This paper established an equilibrium model including representative household, government, and eight industries, and two different environmental policy tools such as carbon intensity and carbon cap were added into the model. The paper points out that the carbon intensity policy imposed on major high-emission industries achieved double dividend of environmentalquality improvement and sustainable economic growth under the condition of proper constraint target. This result supports the environmental Porter hypothesis. This paper finds out that the double dividend is due to the fact that environmental governance policy leads to the rising price of resources and demand of labors, resulting in an effective redistribution of production factors among industries and sustainable economic growth.Furthermore, this paper estimates the marginal effect of economic structure on carbon emission and carbon intensity and provides targeted suggestions.
文摘Confronting the contradiction between the rapid development of economy and the effective protection of environment, and developing low carbon economy by optimizing the industrial structure have become one of the effective way to attract more attention. In the last part, according to the characteristics of industrial structure and carbon emission, we put forward the suggestions and strategies on the adjustment of china's industrial structure in future with the results analysis.

文摘In this paper, the authors have analyzed the relationship between energy intensity gap and GDP per worker gap of China's western and eastern provinces over the period 1997-2006.Using panel data model with lag adjustment, taking the above provinces and six industrial sectors (agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries, industry, construction industry, transport, storage and post & telecommunications, wholesale and retail trades & catering industry, and other sectors of tertiary industry.) as the investigated subjects, the authors have conducted empirical study on the convergence of GDP per worker gap and the convergence of energy intensity gap with respect to the variation of GDP per worker gap,and have concluded that:First, the GDP per worker gap of the six industrial sectors and provinces are convergent, and of this, the convergence rate of GDP per worker gap of Construction Industry is the fastest, while that of Industry is the slowest.Second, the overall energy intensity gap between eastern and western provinces is convergent, that is,with the narrowing of GDP per worker gap between eastern and western provinces, the energy intensity gap converges, but its convergence rate is slower than that of GDP per worker gap.Third, energy intensity gap between various industrial sectors of the east and the west is either convergent or divergent, and there are differences. The energy intensity gap of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries, industry, and construction industry is convergent, while that of the other three industrial sectors is divergent.Fourth, the convergence of the overall energy intensity of the western provinces is not in conformity with the convergence of the various industrial sectors, and there are significant differences, indicating that the western provinces and autonomous regions should take measures to more effectively improve their overall energy utilization efficiency at the industrial sector level.
文摘With frequent disastrous weathers and increasingly prominent GHG effects in recent years, normal existence and development of mankind are facing unprecedented threats and challenges. Some policy proposals for the establishment of low-carbon industries and transition of economic development pattern are set forth.
文摘The current agricultural conflicts of China are analyzed and the forms and drawbacks of current agricultural industrial structure are listed. The situations for intensifying the farmland with appropriate scale are analyzed from the aspects of policy, farmers, farms and modernization of agriculture. It is pointed out that the situations for the intensive use of land are becoming mature.Taking the single pig-breeding chain as an example, the agricultural industrialization model, which takes farmers as the main body,is expounded.Besides, its functions and significance in solving "the three agriculture problems" and facilitating the modernization of agriculture are discussed.
