Characteristic Insights on Industrial Cyber Security and Popular Defense Mechanisms

Due to the deep integration of information technology and operational technology,networked control systems are experiencing an increasing risk of international cyber attacks.In practice,industrial cyber security is a significant topic because current networked control systems are supporting various critical infrastructures to offer vital utility services.By comparing with traditional IT systems,this paper first analyzes the uncontrollable cyber threats and classified attack characteristics,and elaborates the intrinsic vulnerabilities in current networked control systems and novel security challenges in future Industrial Internet.After that,in order to overcome partial vulnerabilities,this paper presents a few representative security mechanisms which have been successfully applied in today’s industrial control systems,and these mechanisms originally improve traditional IT defense technologies from the perspective of industrial availability.Finally,several popular security viewpoints,adequately covering the needs of industrial network structures and service characteristics,are proposed to combine with burgeoning industrial information technologies.We target to provide some helpful security guidelines for both academia and industry,and hope that our insights can further promote in-depth development of industrial cyber security.

National Protection Zone for Rapeseed Production and Industrial Cluster of Rape in Hubei Province

Hubei Province is the main winter rapeseed producing area in China,and has the national advantage and characteristic industrial cluster of rape.The protection zone for the production of important agricultural products of rapeseed in Hubei Province also ranks first as that in Hunan Province.This paper studied the winter rape industry,the important agricultural product production protection zone of rapeseed,the provincial double-low high-quality rape protection zone and the industrial cluster of rape in Jianghan Plain in Hubei Province,and analyzed the main problems existing in the development of rapeseed production protection zone and industrial cluster of rape.Finally,it came up with strategies including promoting national rape varieties,overcoming the problem of rape"agricultural chip",promoting the"rice+rape"rotation model,and strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights of brand marks.

Restructuring of Industrial Talents and Their Characteristics from the Perspective of Intelligent Manufacturing in Dongguan

The advancement of intelligent manufacturing in Dongguan puts forward new requirements for industrial talents,and the development of new productivity is bound to force enterprises and employees to make adaptive adjustments.The upgrading of intelligent manufacturing is not only the upgrading of intelligent machines but also the upgrading of the human brain,which includes the reshaping and cultivation of industrial talents.Based on field research,this study analyzes the different characteristics of the traditional and the new intelligent manufacturing model,as well as summarizes the characteristics of industrial talents and the changing trend of talent demand in view of the intelligent manufacturing model in Dongguan.

Research on domestic characteristic towns: A review

As an important starting point for promoting new-type urbanization and an important platform for advancing supply-side structural reform, characteristic towns have gained strong support at the national policy level and have been rapidly promoted in practice. However, on the academic research level, the research of characteristic towns is lack of systematic. Under these circumstances, this article summarizes the current research on the characteristic town in our country, and makes relevant research and evaluation, with a view to providing reference and basis for further research on the characteristic town.

Types, Distribution Characteristics, and Development Strategies of Rural Characteristic Industry in Xi’an Metropolitan Area

China’s urbanization development has entered the“second half”,which is at a critical stage of transition from the middle stages to the mature stage.The metropolitan area formed by the mega-city radiating the development of surrounding cities and counties is an important spatial carrier of urbanization.The rural characteristic industry is the main path to promote regional economic development and urban-rural integration in the metropolitan area.Exploring the development characteristics of rural characteristic industries in the metropolitan area has important theoretical and practical significance for promoting the effective connection between urban-rural integration and rural revitalization of the metropolitan area and improving the development quality of the metropolitan area.Take the Xi’an metropolitan area as an example and adopt kernel density analysis and other methods to reveal the spatial differentiation rules of rural characteristic industries.On this basis,the three-dimensional development strategy of“industry-spatial-institutional”for the development of the rural characteristic industry is proposed,to provide theoretical reference for the development of rural characteristic industry in metropolitan areas.

Research on Strategies for the Development of Selenium-enriched Tea in Ankang City of Shaanxi Province in the Context of Targeted Poverty Alleviation

As an important symbol of agricultural and sideline products in Ankang City,selenium-enriched tea affects the development of regional agricultural and sideline industries.In this paper,the development status and problems of the selenium-enriched tea products of Ankang were analyzed in terms of capital,technology,management and sales mode.This research is of positive significance to the development of selenium-enriched products and other agricultural and sideline products of health value,and plays a very important role in promoting the cultivation of village-level characteristic industries and the effective realization of targeted poverty alleviation.

Industry characteristics,court location,and bankruptcy resolution

Insolvent firms usually file for formal bankruptcy protection under either liquidation or reorganization.Reorganization aims to save viable failing firms whereas liquidation focuses on filtering out unviable failing firms.This paper theoretically and empirically investigates the determinants of formal bankruptcy resolution.We present a concise theory to reveal the theoretical boundary between liquidation and reorganization,which reflects how industry characteristics,judicial bias,and firm characteristics affect the outcome of bankruptcy resolution.By using the commercial bankruptcy data on US courts(2000–2016),we validate the proposed theory.In empirical tests,we deploy discrete-choice models to address the main predictions derived from theory and conduct robustness checks(e.g.placebo test).We document that firms are more likely to be reorganized when their industry is experiencing prosperity.Firms in asset-heavy industries(e.g.hotels,mining,and oil)tend to be reorganized.Formal resolution of bankruptcy cases handled by courts in Alaska and Hawaii are more likely to be reorganization than is the case in other states;however,firms that file bankruptcy petitions in California courts are more likely to face liquidation.Finally,larger and more transparent firms are more likely to be reorganized.

Spatial coupling analysis of regional economic development and environmental pollution in China

Given the great number of studies focusing on the temporal interaction between economic and environmental subsystems, it is useful to perform a quantitative spatial as- sessment of these subsystems. In this paper, comprehensive assessment indicators for re- gional economic development and environmental pollution subsystems are constructed. Then the degree of coupling and coordination of the regional economy-environment system is calculated for 350 prefectural units in China. It is found that the economic development and environmental pollution in most prefectural units is still at a low level of coupling and coordi- nation. According to the coupling and coordination values, the Chinese territory can be di- vided into four types of area： economy-environment harmonious area, economy-environ- ment gearing area, economy-environment rivaling area and low coupling degree of econ- omy-environment area. Based on a structural analysis of the industrial sector in the four types of areas, there is a spatial relationship between the regional industrial sector structure and the coupling-coordination level. In the economy-environment harmonious area, the sectors of manufacturing of high-technology and high value-added products, such as com- munications, computer and electronic equipment, transport equipment and electrical ma- chinery, account for a large proportion of the value of local industrial output. The industrial value of the economy-environment gearing area is concentrated on the manufacturing of machinery and equipment, and. contains a few polluting sectors such as ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical manufacturing and electricity generation. The econ- omy-environment rivaling area is the type of area where polluting sectors concentrate, such as iron and steel, petrifaction, coal mining, building materials and electricity generation. In the low coupling degree of economy-environment area, its industry is concentrated on the pro- duction and processing of primary products.
