Such disparities are uncontrolled and are severely negative symptoms in the process of economic development. On the basis of system dynamics(SD) modeling and the relationship between industrial relocation and regional economic growth, we construct a model of the interrelationship between the two aforementioned phenomena. The model is an effective and creative exploration for examining effects of industrial relocation on Chinese regional economic growth disparities. The SD model is employed in this study to build an inter-regional labor migration SD model, an inter-regional capital migration SD model, an intra-industry SD model, an intra-regional population SD model, and an intra-regional SD model which are based on realities in labor and capital flow from the view of industrial relocation. VENSIM software is utilized to perform a system simulation based on the data of the eastern, middle, and western regions from 2000 to 2010. Results show that industrial relocation gradually narrows the relative disparity in GDP among the three regions. Moreover, the absolute one is enlarged continuously. The absolute and relative disparities in per capita GDP among eastern, middle, and western regions generally exhibit decreasing trends.展开更多

In contrast to the above, very few attempts have been made to develop methodologies to study the feasibility of CHP systems at industrial manufacturing facilities. As a result, practical opportunities for CHP at industrial sites are often not realized or even investigated. It follows that there is a need in the CHP related literature for an analysis that is explicit and yet general enough to determine the economic viability and potential for success of CHP systems at industrial manufacturing facilities. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to clearly outline a methodology to determine the economic effectiveness of installation and operation of a CHP system at industrial facilities that have a need for space or process heating in the form of steam. The effect on the CHP system economic performance of several parameters, such as the project payback, internal rate of return, net present value, etc., are considered in the proposed methodology. The applicability and generality of the methodology is illustrated by examples including four different manufacturing facilities. The effects of the variability of factors such as annual facility operational hours during which both process heat and electricity are needed, facility average hourly thermal load, cost of utility supplied electricity, and CHP fuel type and associated fuel cost, on the outcome of the economic analysis are also examined.展开更多

Prior to the industrial exploitation of any given NGH reservoir, the economic feasibility should be examined. The first step of economic evaluation of a NGH reservoir is to know whether its resource amount meets the requirement for industrial exploitation. Unfortunately, few relevant studies have been conducted in this regard. In this study, the net present value(NPV) method is employed to estimate the economic critical resources required for the industrial exploitation of NGHs under different production scenarios. Sensitivity analysis is also performed in order to specify the effects of key factors, such as the number of production wells, gas price, technological improvement and tax incentive, on the economic critical resources. The results indicate that China requires the lowest economic critical resource for a NGH reservoir to be industrially exploited, ranging from 3.62 to 24.02 billion m3 methane. Changes in gas price and tax incentives also play significant roles in affecting the threshold and timeline for the industrial exploitation of NGH.展开更多

Meanwhile,to guarantee crop safety and stick to 0. 12 billion hm2of farmland red line as a rigid constraint which could not be exceeded, the supply-demand contradiction of industrial land is more and more prominent. With industrial land scale continues to enlarge, land resources become more and more scarce, but there exists the phenomenon of low-efficiency land use and even idle. For land use characteristics of the development zone, taking Hefei City Economic and Technological Development Zone as an example, the countermeasures of perfecting industrial land transfer mechanism in the development zone are proposed.展开更多

In this context, the objective of this paper is to examine the impact of international trade, remittances and industrialization on the economic growth of Bangladesh using annual data from the period of 1976 to 2010. This study uses the time series econometrics methodology, which covers tests for stationary, cointegration, and specification of the model. This study also focuses on finding causal relationship among export, import, remittances, and industrialization on the economic growth of Bangladesh by using Granger causality test. The result shows that the variables are cointegrated, implying a long-run causal relationship among export, import, remittances, and industrialization on the economic growth of Bangladesh.展开更多

文摘In recent years, with high-speed development of economy and society, and fast propulsion of industrialization and urbanization process in the development zone, average annual land demand in the development zone also quickly enlarges, and the contradiction between high-speed growth of economy and shortage of land resources is apparent increasingly. For land use characteristics of the development zone, taking Hefei City Economic and Technological Development Zone as an example, the countermeasures of perfecting industrial land transfer mechanism in the development zone are proposed.

文摘The development mode of industrial civilization has created huge material wealth for human society, but at the same time the severe ecological problems that have arisen from it have made human civilization fall into the dispersion of unsustainable development. The industrialized development mode has obvious non-ecological economic qualities, which are specifically manifested in the destruction of the ecological economy relationship between nature and mankind, the emergence of cracks of metabolism between nature and mankind, the unbalanced development of the social productive forces and the natural productive forces, and the functioning of one-way linear non-circular economy.Under the trend of ecological evolution of human civilization, the industrial civilization will be replaced by the ecological civilization, and then the industrial economic development mode will be transformed into the ecological economic development mode.As a result, the predicament of once unsustainable development has been gradually dispersed and human civilization enters a beautiful new era of coordinated development of economic society and natural ecology.

文摘We use the directional slacks-based measure of efficiency and inverse distance weighting method to analyze the spatial pattern evolution of the industrial green total factor productivity of 108 cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt in 2003–2013.Results show that both the subprime mortgage crisis and ‘the new normal' had significant negative effects on productivity growth, leading to the different spatial patterns between 2003–2008 and 2009–2013.Before 2008,green poles had gathered around some capital cities and formed a tripartite pattern, which was a typical core-periphery pattern.Due to a combination of the polarization and the diffusion effects, capital cities became the growth poles and ‘core' regions, while surrounding areas became the ‘periphery'.This was mainly caused by the innate advantage of capital cities and ‘the rise of central China' strategy. After 2008,the tripartite pattern changed to a multi-poles pattern where green poles continuously and densely spread in the midstream and downstream areas. This is due to the regional difference in the leading effect of green poles. The leading effect of green poles in midstream and downstream areas has changed from polarization to diffusion, while the polarization effect still leads in the upstream area.

文摘Economic and technological development zone and high-tech industrial zone are important types of development zone in China, and there are differences in their connotation and goal setting. In this paper, basic data of national and provincial economic and technological development zones and high-tech industrial zones in China were collected and arranged.Kernel density analysis and other GIS spatial analysis techniques were used to analyze the evolution laws of spatial patterns of economic and technological development zones and high-tech industrial zones in cities from 2006 to 2018.First,the agglomeration intensity was compared by measuring the degree of regional agglomeration and dispersion on the two time nodes.Next, kernel density method was used to explore the evolution of the two in the spatial layout and location, and analyze development commonness and difference of economic and technological development zones and high-tech industrial zones. Finally, the trend and reason of spatial evolution of development zones with different leading industries were explored.Research results show that:①the agglomeration degree of layout of high-tech industrial zones is stronger than that of economic and technological development zones, and there are similarities and differences in distribution trend of spatial patterns of the two types of development zones;②the distribution of labor-intensive,capital-intensive and technology-intensive development zones is concentrated at smaller scales and dispersed at larger ones;③although there are differences between the economic and technological development zones and the high-tech industrial zones in the goal, support, structure and function, management system and so on,their spatial development presents a trend of convergence. In the future, when enhancing urban-rural planning and public administration, governments should combine the trend of industrial transformation and upgrading, and optimize spatial layout of development zones by adjusting industrial structure, layout, transportation and land use.

文摘Based on the inter-provincial panel data for 31 provinces in China from 2000 to 2019,and incorporating geospatial factors,a spatial panel vector autoregressive(SPVAR)model consisting of population mobility, industrial structure upgrading, and economic growth is constructed. The space-time impulse response function is used to analyze the space-time conduction of exogenous variables on the impact of three endogenous variables. The study found that first, the population influx barely benefited the industrial structure upgrading and economic growth.Second, the upgrading of the industrial structure would aggravate the population mobility in the province, causing low-level laborers to leave the province in shortterm, but in long-term,there would be influx of talents.Third, the economic growth in developed regions plays a significant role in promoting the industrial development of their province and population-rich provinces, but it has less impact on provinces with high-level industrial structure. Finally, policy recommendations are provided in regard to the benign interaction among population mobility, industrial structure upgrading, and economic growth in addition to clarifying the idea of economic development, implementing correct population policies, and promoting the coordinated regional development.
文摘Construction of Silk Road Economic Belt is a giant engine for the economic upgrading of China.Minority areas in Northwest China since then has become a forward position for the opening to the west, which is extremely significant for expanding the hinterland of Chinese economic development, activating economic development in inland and border areas, promoting the open economic development in central and west China, and also forming a new growth pole of Chinese economy.Optimization of industrial selection can promote economic development, constant economic growth of the northwest minority areas and the construction of Silk Road Economic Belt requires the optimization and adjustment of industrial selection, cultivation of competitive industries with market prospects, and formation of new economic growth points.Minority areas in northwest China have a vast territory and abundant resources that are all powerful support for the development of local competitive industries.
文摘There are several important factors of growth and many endeavors have been made to apply these factors to explain the growth of different economies at different times. The result shows that the variables are cointegrated, implying a long-run causal relationship among export, import, remittances, and industrialization on the economic growth of Bangladesh.

文摘Coordinated development of new high-tech industries and traditional industries is crucially important for economic growth and environmental sustainability, and it has become a focus of academic and governmental bodies. This study establishes the comprehensive evaluation index system of high-tech industries and traditional industries, and uses the method of principal component analysis, coupling and coupling coordination degree model to determine the level of industry coordinated development. Then,Pearson correlation test is used to further analyze the correlation between regional industrial coupling coordination and carbon intensity of the seven provinces in the Bohai Rim Economic Circle(BREC).The results are as follows.(1)There is a negative correlation between industrial coupling coordination and carbon intensity.(2)The degree of industrial coordination of Beijing,Tianjin, and Shandong is significantly higher than other provinces in the BREC,as both the high-tech industries and traditional industries of these three provinces have reached a high level of development and achieved high coupling. The high-tech industries of the three provinces show positive changes, whereas the traditional industries show negative changes, which indicates that the new high-tech industries are driving the upgrading of the traditional industries by the application of high technologies.(3)From 2011 to 2016,the number of provinces with a low degree of high-tech and traditional industrial coordination fell from three to one.The traditional industries in Hebei and Inner Mongolia have been upgraded by strengthening their technological innovation with the introduction of rapid high-tech industrial development. These findings are a useful reference for regional industrial coupling coordination and carbon emission reduction.
