We developed an evaluation model to make a general metrics for circular economy system of industrial chains. The development of the evaluation tree drew upon five factors to identify the structural complexity. The evaluation model generated unitive entropy information from six data definition (node, level of community, metabolic span, degree of node, number of relation and connectivity of node) according to the evaluation tree. The industrial chains of Tashan circular economy park of Datong Coal Mine Group and Gujiao circular economy park of Xishan Coal-Electricity Group were evaluated by the proposed method. The key factors stunted by the decline of structural complexity were identified and the unitive metrics of entropy information of the industrial chain was shown for realigning the circular economy systems.展开更多

But it did not replace subsistence farming as the primary method in which peasants made their living, and more importantly, it did not allow China to close the gap in the great divergence with the West. So why didn't the cotton-based handicraft industry catapult the Yangzi delta region into the modem era of industrialization? Why did the handicraft industry merely serve as a supplementary rather than an alternative means of livelihood? To understand the reasons why the handicraft industry did not transform China into an industrial and urban nation, it is important to examine the constraints in which population growth and land intensification had imposed on the peasants of the delta. These factors combined with the favorable geographical environment and commercial opportunities for trade in other regions, forced peasants to adopt the family-based handicraft industry as a supplementary source of income for survival. While the impact-response model may have suggested that it was the inability of the handicraft spinners and weavers to compete against British machines and the subsequent drop in cotton prices, a China-centered approach advocated by Paul Cohen would suggest domestic factors such as rapid population growth due to changes in taxation policies and the diminishing rate of return in labor, and the insufficient production office and grain may have been the real reasons that prevented the handicraft industry from developing into an alternative for farming.展开更多

Industries are located in some areas based on political influence rather than facility availability that support industry's productivity. In this study a criteria model was developed for assessing the present industrial site locations based on predetermined influencing factors called criteria. In the model provision was made for the sorting out of deficient influencing factors for the purpose of upgrading them to the minimum level required called benchmark through periodical allocation of appropriate funds. In validating the model, identified industrial sites located in selected States of Nigeria were surveyed. Data were collected on factors such as power supply, marketability and raw malerial availability which were considered influential to the sustainability of industry's site in the respective areas. Data were analysed for the criteria identified along the line of industrial categories which included large-, medium-, and small-scales. Benchmarks, as well as levels of criteria in the respective regions were determined using statistical weighted averages and the results were used as input to the model. The output results of the model showed that none of the industrial sites located in the selected six States of the South-Western Nigeria were productivity supportive. However, a good performance was achieved in a site with a budget of S13 million (US Dollars) for the upgrading of the deficient facilities in the next three years.展开更多

文摘This paper examined the method to evaluate structural complexity of circular economy system's industrial chain, which applied entropy information and hierarchical metrics to produce complexity degrees according to the theory of complex system. The key factors stunted by the decline of structural complexity were identified and the unitive metrics of entropy information of the industrial chain was shown for realigning the circular economy systems.

文摘This paper selected five main producing counties of Yangxin,Guanxian,Feixian,Tengzhou and Licheng in central and western Shandong Province.Based on the basic economic data of pear industry from 2011 to 2020,the cultivation areas, yields, main cultivars, production costs and garden prices of pears in the main producing counties in the past 10 years were analyzed,so as to provide reference for the development of pear industry in Shandong Province.
文摘As the coronavirus pandemic spreads through the continents,it has dramatically disrupted everything in the global economy from stock markets and supply chains to oil and food prices, and in seeking to restrict the spread of COVID-19,governments are shutting down whole commercial sectors which could cause a huge recession in some countries as the United Nations have already warned. All these new circumstances have raised again the fundamental questions about the future of our global economy. Therefore, this paper has tried to make sense of how the post-pandemic global economy would look like by shedding light on Jeremy Rifkin’s theory of the new industrial revolution and the coming disruption in the global market.
文摘The development of the family-based handicraft industry in the Yangzi delta provided supplementary income and employment opportunities to auxiliary family members. While the impact-response model may have suggested that it was the inability of the handicraft spinners and weavers to compete against British machines and the subsequent drop in cotton prices, a China-centered approach advocated by Paul Cohen would suggest domestic factors such as rapid population growth due to changes in taxation policies and the diminishing rate of return in labor, and the insufficient production office and grain may have been the real reasons that prevented the handicraft industry from developing into an alternative for farming.
文摘Industrial sites are selected in many of the developing countries without taking into consideration some pertinent criteria that are directly affecting the sustainability of such industries in the locations after commissioning. However, a good performance was achieved in a site with a budget of S13 million (US Dollars) for the upgrading of the deficient facilities in the next three years.
