However, these polymeric materials which are deposited in the marine environment and land generate microplastics, due to their degradation/fragmentation due to the action of the weather, in these regions, including being carried by the air and transported from various regions. With the aim of reducing the impact of this inappropriate disposal and obtaining a material that does not generate microplastics, this study used waste from the textile industry, which would be unusable, and a biodegradable polymer. The tissue residues were submitted to acid hydrolysis with sulfuric acid, in order to weaken the interactions between the cellulose fibrils and promote a better dispersion of the latter when processed with the polymer, during the extrusion process, generating biodegradable polymeric nanocomposites. The results showed that the samples submitted to acid hydrolysis presented a higher degree of crystallinity and a greater number of interactions and lower mobility of hydrogen atoms. In addition, the samples treated for a longer time showed a small release of fibrils, suggesting that this treatment can help in the production of nanocomposites during their extrusion.展开更多

A Petri net models the static properties of a discrete event system concentrating on two basic concepts: events and conditions. Most of the theoretical work on Petri nets is a formal definition of Petri nets structures, which consist of a set of places, representing conditions, a set of transitions, representing events, an input function and an output function. For practical purposes, a graphical representation is more useful. Two types of nodes portray places and transitions. A circle is a place and a bar is a transition. There is no inherent measure of time in a classical Petri net. To approach time-based evaluation of system performances, Timed Petri Nets (TPNs) were introduced. Modeling the notion of time is not straightforward. There are several possibilities for introducing time in PNs, among them timed transitions and timed places. This paper reviews several published examples where Petri Nets were used in different circumstances such as estimating expected utilization of processing resources at steady state in open queueing networks, verifying computerized simulations and batch planning in textile industry.展开更多

Meanwhile, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is at the forefront of States paying great attention to the cultivation of palm trees due to their great importance, which are an indispensable traditional food for a large portion of the population. However, huge quantities of palm’s by-products, especially palm fibers, are constantly wasted, although they can be effectively used to produce textiles of particular end uses such as ropes. This study, therefore, sought to explore the potential of extracting cellulose from palm fibers for use in the textile industry. The study has utilized the experimental approach by applying alkaline to palm fibers so as to extract inherent cellulose. It has also applied mechanical processing to turn cellulose into fibers. Fibers’ physical properties (color, diameter, length), chemical properties (ratios of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin), and mechanical properties (tensile strength and elongation of fibers before and after treatment) were all studied. The study has proved that the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of regenerated cellulose fibers extracted from palm fibers are similar to those of other natural fibers such as bamboo and linen, and thus can be used in the textile industry. The study also compared different types of palm trees to determine the one that contains the largest concentration of cellulose. However, it was found that sugar palm fibers contain the highest cellulose concentration of 44% and therefore, it was selected for the application of the study’s theory. The study recommends making use of palm fiber in manufacturing textiles for particular end uses such as ropes, fillings and filters, as well as applying the theory of the study to other plants that have not yet been manipulated.展开更多

For the pollution problem in China’s textile and garment industry, the author particularly analyzes the pollution of the textile and garment industry mainly occurred in the process of textile and clothing production and sales in this article. Finally, the author puts forward detail measure to control the pollution from the two aspects and advocates the concept of low-carbon environmental protection and green lifestyle. The low-carbon environmental protection has become a phenomenon in Textile and Apparel.展开更多

This paper starts from the investigation of Topline’s core competitiveness in China and Myanmar, and focuses on the analysis of lingerie industry in China and Myanmar, and the analysis of women’s underwear industry from the perspective of global value chain (GVC). Through the data analysis of the questionnaire survey, this paper summarizes the problems existing in the current situation of the industry, uses the intermediary analysis to analyze the correlation between the two variables, reveals the role of the core competitiveness of enterprises, and uses the GVC theory to analyze the problems existing in the industry of enterprises and their causes. According to relevant theories, the optimization path of enterprise value chain is put forward.展开更多

It can be confirmed that textile industry will play an important role during the fourth Industry transfer period. So, who will be the winner this time?展开更多
