Nowadays,the rapid development of the social economy inevitably leads to global energy and environmental crisis.For this reason,more and more scholars focus on the development of photocatalysis and/or electrocatalysis... Nowadays,the rapid development of the social economy inevitably leads to global energy and environmental crisis.For this reason,more and more scholars focus on the development of photocatalysis and/or electrocatalysis technology for the advantage in the sustainable production of high-value-added products,and the high efficiency in pollutants remediation.Although there is plenty of outstanding research has been put forward continuously,most of them focuses on catalysis performance and reaction mechanisms in laboratory conditions.Realizing industrial application of photo/electrocatalytic processes is still a challenge that needs to be overcome by social demand.In this regard,this review comprehensively summarized several explorations in thefield of photo/electrocatalytic reduction towards potential industrial applications in recent years.Special attention is paid to the successful attempts and the current status of photo/electrocatalytic water splitting,carbon dioxide conversion,resource utilization from waste,etc.,by using advanced reactors.The key problems and challenges of photo/electrocatalysis in future industrial practice are also discussed,and the possible development directions are also pointed out from the industry view. 展开更多

Recently,research on the electrocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction(eCO_(2)RR)has attracted considerable attention due to its potential to resolve environmental problems caused by CO_(2) while utilizing clean energy and producing high‐value‐added products.Considerable theoretical research in the lab has demonstrated its feasibility and prospect.However,industrialization is mandatory to realize the economic and social value of eCO_(2)RR.For industrial application of eCO_(2)RR,more criteria have been proposed for eCO_(2)RR research,including high current density(above 200 mA cm^(−2)),high product selectivity(above 90%),and long‐term stability.To fulfill these criteria,the eCO_(2)RR system needs to be systematically designed and optimized.In this review,recent research on eCO_(2)RR for industrial applications is summarized.The review starts with focus on potential industrial catalysts in eCO_(2)RR.Next,potential industrial products are proposed in eCO_(2)RR.These products,including carbon monoxide,formic acid,ethylene,and ethanol,all have high market demand,and have shown high current density and product selectivity in theoretical research.Notably,the innovative components and strategy for industrializing the eCO_(2)RR system are also highlighted here,including flow cells,seawater electrolytes,solid electrolytes,and a two‐step method.Finally,some instructions and possible future avenues are presented for the prospects of future industrial application of eCO_(2)RR. 展开更多

The rapid development of industry application products has greatly influenced society. It has become essential for some telecommunication companies to focus on customer satisfaction with industrial products used by the government and enterprise customers. Following the review of a previous study of customer satisfaction and with the help of experiential level theory,this article attempts to establish a Satisfaction Factors Model for researching customer satisfaction with industry applications. We chose a product named "Mobile Monitor" and investigated the emotional satisfaction of 127 users and company leaders from different walks of life,and showed that 7 of the product's features affected the customers' overall emotional satisfaction. Lastly,this paper points out management implications of this application based on quantitative results. It presents a preliminary exploration program for customer satisfaction research in this specific field. The empirical research on a specific product based on experimental level theory may serve as a reference for other companies that desire to carry out similar surveys in future. 展开更多

Research on high temperature wear mechanism shows that the oxidation and corrosion resistance, high temperature hardness, thermal fatigue resistance and structure stability are main control factors for Ni_3Al based alloys. Some important workpieces have been produced in mass quantity such as the guide shoe used in wire hot rolling. Ni_3Al based alloys could be used as cavitation erosion resistant materials mainly because of their high temperature mechanical properties, high work hardening ability and fatigue resistance. The weld electrode of Ni_3Al based alloy has been fabricated and used in the protection against cavitation erosion of big blade of hydraulic turbine in Sanmenxia Hydropower Station. Ni_3Al based alloys exhibit superproperties in the situation of high temperature over 1200℃, for example, in the work condition of flame tube of jet. Some of rivets used in combustor of jet are fabricated and tested. 展开更多

Well-ordered aluminosilicates(MAs)were prepared by in-situ assembly of pre-crystallized units of zeolite Y precursors at a commercial scale,and applied in an industrial fluid catalytic cracking unit for the first time.Compared with incumbent equilibrium catalyst,the surface area of trial equilibrium catalysts(30%inventory ratio)increased from 110 m^(2)g^(-1)to 120m^(2)g^(-1).Moreover,a significant increase of the mesoporous surfaceareaof trial equlibrium catalysts(30%inventoryrati)from 33 m g/to 40magi(22%increase).Furthermore,the equilibrium catalyst that contain 80%LPC-65 yields significantly lower heavy oil(0.23%)and higher total liquids(0.53%)compared with LDO-70.The industrial results demonstrated excellent hydrothermal stability and superior catalytic cracking properties,showing the promising futurein the industrial units. 展开更多

Visible light communication(VLC)has a paramount role in industrial implementations,especially for better energy efficiency,high speed-data rates,and low susceptibility to interference.However,since studies on VLC for industrial implementations are in scarcity,areas concerning illumination optimisation and communication performances demand further investigation.As such,this paper presents a new modelling of light fixture distribution for a warehouse model to provide acceptable illumination and communication performances.The proposed model was evaluated based on various semi-angles at half power(SAAHP)and different height levels for several parameters,including received power,signal to noise ratio(SNR),and bit error rate(BER).The results revealed improvement in terms of received power and SNR with 30 Mbps data rate.Various modulations were studied to improve the link quality,whereby better average BER values of 5.55×10^(−15) and 1.06×10^(−10) had been achieved with 4 PAM and 8 PPM,respectively.The simulation outcomes are indeed viable for the practical warehouse model. 展开更多

Separation of organic mixture is an inevitable process in most modern industrial processes. In the quest for a more sustainable and efficient separation, solvent-resistant nanofiltration(SRNF) has emerged as a promising answer. This is because SRNF is a membrane-based process which offers the key advantages of high efficacy and low energy intensity separation. In particular, polymer-based membranes can offer compelling opportunities for SRNF with unprecedented cost-effectiveness. As a result, intensive research efforts have been devoted into developing novel polymer-based membranes with solvent-resistant capacities as well as exploring potential applications in different types of industries. In this review, we aim to give an overview of the recent progress in the development of the state-of-the-art polymer-based membranes for SRNF in the first section. Emerging nanomaterials for mixed matrix and thin film nanocomposite membranes are also covered in this section. This is followed by a discussion on the current status of membrane engineering and SRNF membrane commercialization. In the third section, we highlight recent efforts in adopting SRNF for relevant industrial applications such as food, bio-refinery, petrochemical, fine chemical and pharmaceutical industries followed by separations of enantiomers in stereochemistry, homogeneous catalysis and ionic liquids. Finally, we offer a perspective and provide deeper insights to help shape future research direction in this very important field of SRNF. 展开更多

Owing to its low cost,short process and low energy consumption,semi-solid processing(SSP)of aluminum(Al)and magnesium(Mg)alloys has been considered as a competitive approach to fabricate complicated components with excellent performance.Over the past decade,significant progress has been achieved in deeply understanding the SSP process,the microstructure and performance of the fabricated components in China.This paper starts with a retrospective overview of some common slurry preparation methods,followed by presenting the performance and the underlying mechanisms of SSP fabricated alloys.Then,the mainstream opinions on the microstructure evolution and rheological flow behavior of semi-solid slurry are discussed.Subsequently,the general situation and some recent examples of industrial applications of SSP are presented.Finally,special attention is paid to the unresolved issues and the future directions in SSP of Al and Mg alloys in China. 展开更多
