A fundamental shift in the regional development pattern is crucial to achieving a comprehensive green transformation in China.Currently,innovation-driven green development is a significant strategic option for regiona...A fundamental shift in the regional development pattern is crucial to achieving a comprehensive green transformation in China.Currently,innovation-driven green development is a significant strategic option for regional development.As the main body of innovation and the basic unit of regional composition,enterprises have a profound impact on the development of regional economy,society,ecology,and other aspects.However,considering China’s vast territory and significant regional differences in natural environment and industrial structure,it’s necessary to further explore the specific impact paths of regional green development driven by enterprise innovation.Therefore,taking industrial enterprises as an example,based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2016 to 2020,this study verifies the impact of industrial enterprise innovation on the regional green development level by constructing a parallel multiple mediating effect model and dividing the economy into eastern,central,and western regions to discuss the specific impact paths.The results show that industrial enterprise innovation has a significant positive effect on regional green development level,via different influencing paths in each region:(1)The eastern region improves the regional green development level by narrowing the urban-rural income gap;(2)The central region improves the regional green development level by reducing resource dependence;and(3)The western region raises the regional green development level by improving the rationalization of industrial structure.展开更多

From raw material storage through final product distribution,a cold supply chain is a technique in which all activities are managed by temperature.The expansion in the number of imported meat and other comparable comm...From raw material storage through final product distribution,a cold supply chain is a technique in which all activities are managed by temperature.The expansion in the number of imported meat and other comparable commodities,as well as exported seafood has boosted the performance of cold chain logistics service providers.On the basis of the standard basicpursuit(BP)neural network,a rough BP particle swarm optimization(PSO)neural network model is constructed by combining rough set and particle swarm algorithms to aid cold chain food production enterprises in quickly picking the best cold chain logistics service providers.To reduce duplicate information in the original data and make the input index more compact,the model employs rough set.Instead of using gradient descent to train the weights of the neural network,particle swarm optimization is utilized to ensure that the output results are not readily caught in local minima and that the network’s generalization capacity is improved.Finally,an example is presented to demonstrate the model’s validity and viability.The findings reveal that the model’s prediction error is 40.94 percent lower than the BP neural network model,and the prediction result is more accurate and dependable,providing a new technique for cold chain food production companies to swiftly pick the best cold chain logistics service provider.展开更多
Numerous studies evaluated the effects of end-of-pipe control environmental regulations(EER).However,few scholars discussed the effects of process management environmental regulations(PER),such as the China Cleaner Pr...Numerous studies evaluated the effects of end-of-pipe control environmental regulations(EER).However,few scholars discussed the effects of process management environmental regulations(PER),such as the China Cleaner Production Standards(CCPS)implemented by the country's Ministry of Ecology and Environment.Using data on China's manufacturing enterprises,this paper adopts the CCPS policies as quasi-natural experiments and uses differences-in-differences(DID)methods to analyze their effects on enterprise profitability and profit quality,respectively.The results show that:first,the CCPS significantly improve both profitability and profit quality;that is,the implementation of the environmental regulation policy plays a significant role in improving enterprise profit rates and cash flows.Second,for the profitability mediator effects,the short-term Porter effect of CCPS is not significant but shows the opposite during the lag period and significantly reduces the management cost and wage levels,comprehensively promoting enterprise profitability.Third,for the profit quality meditator effects,environmental regulations improve the enterprises'cash flow by reducing management costs and increasing government subsidies;however,its effect on bank credit subsidies is not significant.Fourth,for the moderator effects,the environmental regulations'effect on enterprises profitability and profit quality depends on the strategic interaction among local governments,the scale and ownership of the enterprise,and regional differences.That is,the strategic interaction weakens the effect of environmental regulations on enterprise performance.Environmental regulations have a stronger influence on profitability and profit quality for large-scale,state-owned,and coastal enterprises.展开更多

By use of DYNAMO, the dynamic sumulation software of industrial enterprise system(DSSE) is developed. DSSE can be used to simulate and analyse an industrial enterprise system and gets simulation plans. Rural industrialization provides nonfarm employment opportunities and financial support for farmers and may be a non-negligible cause of agricultural mechanization in China.However,there is a lack of empirical studies...Rural industrialization provides nonfarm employment opportunities and financial support for farmers and may be a non-negligible cause of agricultural mechanization in China.However,there is a lack of empirical studies on this topic due to challenges in obtaining data and identifying causal relationships.In this paper,we use multiple data sources and construct an instrumental variable based on the number of handicraft production cooperatives in 1957 to test empirically the causal effect of rural industrialization on agricultural mechanization.The results show that rural industrialization contributes significantly and robustly to agricultural mechanization.A 10 percent increase in the average number of industrial enterprises per township was associated with a 1.05 percent increase in the agricultural machinery power per unit area of arable land.Both the demand effect and income effect played crucial roles in the interaction between these two phenomena.展开更多
