After China's entry into WTO, our industries will be confronted with fiercer competition. How to strengthen their international competitiveness to seek for survival and development has become a very urgent problem. This paper first simply discusses the meaning and theo^es of industrial international competitiveness, then chooses proper indexes according to some principles, explains the factor analysis method of industrial international competitiveness, and finally makes empirical analysis on China air transport industry. 展开更多

As a kind of integrated economy, digital economy has an important impact on the economic growth and production and lifestyle of multiple countries and regions, and plays a significant role in promoting the reconstruction of the international economic pattern. As an important industry of China’s national economy, the service industry is crucial to China’s economic growth. This paper measures the development level of digital economy in provinces and cities through constructing digital economy index system, uses super efficiency SBM-Malmquist model to measure total factor productivity of service industry, and tests the influence effect of digital economy on total factor productivity of Chinese service industry. Finally, the optimization path of digital economy on China’s service industry is proposed. 展开更多

The enhancement of industrial green total factor productivity is pivotal for achieving high-quality and sustainable economic development. This study assesses China’s performance using the SBM-GML model, employing province-level panel data spanning from 2004 to 2020.Furthermore,we examine the influence of green finance and technological progress on industrial green total factor productivity using a spatial econometric model. The findings uncover that the relationship between the level of green financial development and industrial green total factor productivity follows a U-shaped curve.Initially, low levels of green financial development exert a suppressive effect on industrial green total factor productivity, proving ineffective in the short term. However, with the progression of green finance development,a positive and significant long-term impact on industrial green total factor productivity emerges. Moreover, technological progress demonstrates a noteworthy promotional effect on industrial green total factor productivity. The analysis delves deeper into revealing that industrial structure and environmental regulation intensity exhibit a significant negative relationship with industrial green total factor productivity. In contrast, both energy structure and education level showcase a substantial positive relationship with industrial green total factor productivity. 展开更多

We use the directional slacks-based measure of efficiency and inverse distance weighting method to analyze the spatial pattern evolution of the industrial green total factor productivity of 108 cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt in 2003–2013.Results show that both the subprime mortgage crisis and ‘the new normal' had significant negative effects on productivity growth, leading to the different spatial patterns between 2003–2008 and 2009–2013.Before 2008,green poles had gathered around some capital cities and formed a tripartite pattern, which was a typical core-periphery pattern.Due to a combination of the polarization and the diffusion effects, capital cities became the growth poles and ‘core' regions, while surrounding areas became the ‘periphery'.This was mainly caused by the innate advantage of capital cities and ‘the rise of central China' strategy. After 2008,the tripartite pattern changed to a multi-poles pattern where green poles continuously and densely spread in the midstream and downstream areas. This is due to the regional difference in the leading effect of green poles. The leading effect of green poles in midstream and downstream areas has changed from polarization to diffusion, while the polarization effect still leads in the upstream area. 展开更多

This study elaborates that the economic growth of a country depending on not only the business performance of the investor owned firms (IOFs), but also the business surplus of the cooperative organizations (Co-ops). The policy maker should have the level of understanding and competence to blend five different factors related to organizational structure and business model of the Co-ops and the IOFs to the five similarities factors on the managerial approach of them into one marked. The study investigated five similarities factors and included into a conceptual structural model with its six measurement models, economic growth model, general national factor model, market and industry factors model, Co-ops/IOFs opportunities/threat model, Co-ops/IOFs strength /weakness model, and lastly the Co-ops/IOFs firm dynamic/active: sales, profit, and lost model. Reliability of the six similarities measurement models was tested by the Delphi technique with a sample of 33 respondents. The study found that, apart from the six measurement models, it also has two intervening factor variables that will reduce the power and magnitude of the economic growth which will come from mismanagement of policy maker: These factors are the different in intemational culture among countries, and the global warming and natural disaster from the excess consumption and excess production. These selfish, competition and economic greedy of people will lead to economic, social, and natural disaster problems. To reduce the socioeconomic disadvantages and global disaster, board's committee, and Co-ops manager as well as chief executive officer (CEO) of the IOFs must have a good understanding on these five similarities factors. Appropriate management of these five similarities factors will lead the firms to reach their high managerial efficiency, customer value, firm value, and finally economic growth. 展开更多

Trace metals in PM2.5 were measured at one industrial site and one urban site during September, 2010 in Ji'nan, eastern China. Individual aerosol particles and PM2.5 samples were collected concurrently at both sites. Mass concentrations of eleven trace metals (i.e., Al, Ti, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Sr, Ba, and Pb) and one metalloid (i.e., As) were measured by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES). The result shows that mass concentrations of PM2.5 (130μg/m3) and trace metals (4.03 μg/m3) at the industrial site were 1.3 times and 1.7 times higher than those at the urban site, respectively, indicating that industrial activities nearby the city can emit trace metals into the surrounding atmosphere. Fe concentrations were the highest among all the measured trace metals at both sites, with concentrations of 1.04 ixg/m 3 at the urban site and 2.41 Itg/m3 at the industrial site, respectively. In addition, Pb showed the highest enrichment factors at both sites, suggesting the emissions from anthropogenic activities existed around the city. Correlation coefficient analysis and principal component analysis revealed that Cu, Fe, Mn, Pb, and Zn were originated from vehicular traffic and industrial emissions at both sites; As, Cr, and part of Pb from coal-fired power plant; Ba and Ti from natural soil. Based on the transmission electron microscopy analysis, we found that most of the trace metals were internally mixed with secondary sulfate/organic particles. These internally mixed trace metals in the urban air may have different toxic abilities compared with externally mixed trace metals. 展开更多

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) are carcinogenic or mutagenic and are important toxic pollutants in the flue gas of boilers. Two industrial grade biomass boilers were selected to investigate the characteristics of particulate-bound PAHs: one biomass boiler retro-fitted from an oil boiler(BB1) and one specially designed(BB2) biomass boiler. One coal-fired boiler was also selected for comparison. By using a dilution tunnel system, particulate samples from boilers were collected and 10 PAH species were analyzed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry(GC–MS). The total emission factors(EFs) of PAHs ranged from 0.0064 to0.0380 mg/kg, with an average of 0.0225 mg/kg, for the biomass boiler emission samples. The total PAH EFs for the tested coal-fired boiler were 1.8 times lower than the average value of the biomass boilers. The PAH diagnostic ratios for wood pellets and straw pellets were similar. The ratio of indeno(1,2,3-cd)pyrene/[indeno(1,2,3-cd)pyrene + benzo(g,h,i)perylene] for the two biomass boilers was lower than those of the reference data for other burning devices, which can probably be used as an indicator to distinguish the emission of biomass boilers from that of industrial coal-fired boilers and residential stoves. The toxic potential of the emission from wood pellet burning was higher than that from straw pellet burning, however both of them were much lower than residential stove exhausts. 展开更多
