Research on Blended Teaching Mode of Higher Vocational Computer Education under the Background of Information Technology

With the rapid development of information technology,higher vocational computer education is facing an unprecedented change.Under the background of information technology,this paper discusses the construction and practice of blended teaching mode of higher vocational computer education.By analyzing the theoretical basis of the blended teaching mode and combining the actual needs of higher vocational computer education,a blended teaching mode combining online and offline is proposed,aiming at enhancing students’independent learning ability,practical operation skills,and teamwork spirit,and providing new ideas and methods for the development of higher vocational computer education.

Exploration of Innovation Strategy in the Deep Integration of Information Technology and Education and Teaching

The rapid development of information technology provides a new opportunity and impetus for the reform of education and teaching.Deep integration of information technology and education and teaching is the only way to promote the modernization of education.Starting from the connotation of the deep integration of information technology and education and teaching,this paper analyzes the existing problems in the current integration process,and puts forward innovative strategies from the aspects of concept,resources,model,and evaluation.Through measures such as building a smart teaching environment,enriching high-quality teaching resources,innovating teaching organization models,and establishing multiple evaluation systems,we will realize the deep integration of information technology and teaching,promote the reform of teaching and learning methods,improve the quality of personnel training,and provide strong support for the modernization of education.

China’s Perspectives on the Modern Educational Value of Critical Information Literacy

Critical information literacy is a new and important direction of information literacy education for university students in the new media era.By comparing critical information literacy between China and the West,combining with the research on information literacy education in China in the past 20 years,and based on the three major relationships that Chinese philosophy is concerned about that people need to face in the world of life,i.e.,the individual and the self,the individual and nature,and the individual and the society,this paper defines critical information literacy as that individuals,as information subjects,discover,select,confirm,and evaluate the information they are exposed to by obtaining and discriminating the content elements of the information world(information sources,information,and information assets)and using critical thinking skills and methods,creatively interpret or solve the relevant problems arising from the interaction between individuals and self,individuals and nature,individuals and society,and form the literacy that represents the knowledge,ability,attitude,habit,and level of the information subject through continuous reflection and practice.In order for human beings to better understand the world and construct it responsibly,critical information literacy can play a greater role and educational value.It not only helps contemporary college students build knowledge of“good questioning”and enhance their“reasoning”skills,but also encourages them to maintain a“firm standpoint,”cultivate a habit of“healthy skepticism,”and enhance their“decision-making”skills.

Evaluation and Empirical Research on Teachers’ Information Literacy in the Context of Smart Education

The development of smart education has led to the integration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence with education.It is a prerequisite for teachers to have high information literacy for conducting education and teaching work.This study conducted a questionnaire survey on 412 teachers in a certain area.The results showed that teachers’information literacy is above the middle level,and there are significant differences in information literacy between teaching experience and educational background.The evaluation showed that information ethics,information awareness,and information application have a significant positive impact on professional development,and information knowledge and information awareness have a positive predictive effect on information ethics.

The Model of“Post,Course,Competition,Certificate”Integrated Education for Electronic Information Engineering Technology Major in Higher Vocational Colleges

The core education function of higher vocational colleges is to train technical talents with high quality,so as to meet the needs of talents in the development stage of our society.Under the guidance of talent training,higher vocational colleges need to pay attention to establishing an all-round and three-dimensional education model,and promote innovation of higher vocational education on the basis of this.It is also a way to promote the innovation of higher vocational education to vigorously promote the construction of“post,course,competition,certificate”mode in the construction of education mode.Through the construction of“post,course,competition,certificate”mode,the education mode of higher vocational colleges is gradually improved,so as to strengthen the effectiveness of talent training in higher vocational colleges.Therefore,in this paper,the author puts forward some suggestions to promote the construction of the integrated education mode of the electronic information engineering technology major in higher vocational colleges,so as to help improve the talent training level of higher vocational colleges.

The Current Situation and Improvement of Informatization Construction in Universities in the Era of Digital Education—Taking the Nanchong Campus of Southwest Petroleum University as an Example

Digitization of education is an important component of Digital China Strategy. China is deeply implementing the digitalization of education strategy, promoting educational reform and innovation, and accelerating the construction of a learning society and a learning country where everyone can learn, learn everywhere, and learn at all times [1]. As the cradle and gathering place of talent cultivation, universities should be at the forefront of educational informatization construction. As a comprehensive energy university in the northeastern region of Sichuan, the Nanchong Campus of Southwest Petroleum University plays an irreplaceable role in the local economic development. This article summarizes the current situation of educational informatization construction on this campus and proposes suggestions for its improvement path, providing constructive reference opinions for the development of similar universities.

Relationship between clinical belonging,professional identity,and nursing information ability among nursing interns:Model construction

BACKGROUND Clinical belonging refers to the feeling that clinical medical staff feel recognized and accepted by others or groups.The level of clinical belonging of nursing interns affects students’learning motivation and confidence,which in turn affects their clinical practice behavior.AIM To explore the effects of professional identity and nursing information ability on clinical belonging among nursing interns and establish a relationship model for these factors.METHODS The researchers used the convenience sampling method to select 682 nursing interns from China.The survey was conducted using a general information questionnaire,clinical sense of belonging scale,nursing information ability self-assessment scale,and a nursing student professional identity questionnaire.The mediating effect of nursing information ability between their professional identity and clinical sense of belonging was analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and the path analysis in structural equation modeling.RESULTS The total scores of clinical belonging,professional identity,and nursing information ability of nursing interns were(104.29±13.11)points,(57.89±7.16)points,and(70.29±6.20)points,respectively.Nursing information ability had a direct effect on the clinical sense of belonging(effect value=0.46,P<0.05).Occupational identity had a direct effect(effect value=0.52,P<0.05)and an indirect effect(effect value=0.21,P<0.05)on clinical belonging.CONCLUSION Nursing administrators in nursing colleges and hospitals should take effective measures to improve the professional identity and nursing information ability of nursing interns,as well as the clinical sense of belonging among nursing interns.

This text is trying to discuss an approximation to the concept of human emancipation,as part of our well-being,in terms of Education and Knowledge.Without abandoning our metaphysical perception of wholeness,as an extension of the continuity principle which connects our conscious and unconscious world,emancipation is considered as a personal struggle against all oppressions.Some of these are grounded in our inner world.In accordance with the Enlightenment request,reasoning and knowledge can help us to structure new forms of acceptances which are shaping our own emancipatory meaning.Under the impact of social influence and personal interpretation,the perceived knowledge is considered as a mental tool containing an upgraded valid information.Taking under consideration that this validity is not able to overcome the metaphysical origins of human thought,it is suggested that when this mental tool is functioning in a self-transformative,self-constructed,and flexible form,human intelligence is structuring a compatible information management mechanism,which can enable us to formulate our personal acceptances,bridge our empirical and hyper-empirical inner world,and enlighten our request for self-criticism,self-determination,and above all emancipation.

Evaluation of Technical Education by Using a Modern Structured MOODLE Laboratory Course, in Relation to Recent Data

E-learning platforms support education systems worldwide, transferring theoretical knowledge as well as soft skills. In the present study high-school pupils’, and adult students’ opinions were evaluated through a modern structured MOODLE interactive course, designed for the needs of the laboratory course “Automotive Systems”. The study concerns Greek secondary vocational education pupils aged 18 and vocational training adult students aged 20 to 50 years. The multistage, equal size simple random cluster sample was used as a sampling method. Pupils and adult students of each cluster completed structured 10-question questionnaires both before and after attending the course. A total of 120 questionnaires were collected. In general, our findings disclosed that the majority of pupils and adult students had significantly improved their knowledge and skills from using MOODLE. They reported strengthening conventional teaching, using the new MOODLE technology. The satisfaction indices improved quite, with the differences in their mean values being statistically significant.

A comparative analysis of information literacy curriculum standards in the educational programs of high schools in China and in the United States

Our study aims to take a closer look at China's current information literacy(IL) program standards at secondary schools and to analyze their level of success and/or failures in a comparative way with those of the United States in terms of fulfilling their each other's mission-oriented mandates. Our research findings show that China's current IL standards of high schools contain a disproportionate emphasis on information technology(IT). Moreover, the stipulations of these IL standards are narrowly construed and without being solidly grounded on a broad and comprehensive educational perspective. We also suggest that there are two underlying causes for this set of unsound IL standards in China.Firstly, there is a lack of collaboration between two major competing forces engaged in the curricular development and research of IL in China: Those professionals in educational IT discipline vis-à-vis those in Library and Information Science. Secondly, library professionals have a very limited influence on major socio-cultural policies, even at their own institutions. As a result, this paper recommends the following three possible measures,which may help remedy this situation strategically: 1) Establishing a set of new IL curriculum standards based on an IL-centered educational perspective; 2) establishing a teacher-librarian's training program to promote school librarians' role in IL education; and 3) strengthening the research and development of an online IL education program and an accompanied evaluation mechanism.

Verifying the Effects of an Education Program Leveraging Information Technology to Promote Cervical Cancer Screening in Women Aged 20 - 29—A One-Year Longitudinal Study

The purpose of this research is to implement an IT-based education program in order to promote cervical cancer screenings for women aged 20 - 29 years, as well as to examine the results of said program. This is a longitudinal/comparative study of two groups, one for which the program was implemented (the intervention group), and the other for which it was not (the control group). The program consisted of attending a health lecture and encouragement to be screened one month, six months, and one year later sent through IT-based methods. The target was unmarried women aged 20 - 29 who had neither previously given birth nor had been screened for cervical cancer in a period one year prior. They were divided into two groups, the intervention group (n = 142) and control group (n = 145). The effectiveness of the program was assessed via an initial survey and further surveys six months and one year later. Results were based on the Japanese version of the Health Belief Model Scale for Cervical Cancer and the Pap Smear Test (HBMSCCPST), knowledge scores in the categories of Healthy Lifestyles, Cervical Cancer, Cervical Cancer Screening, and screening behavior. A two-way ANOVA of the HBMSCCPST subscales and knowledge scores in the initial, six-month, and one-year surveys was performed, showing interaction in Cervical Cancer (p = 0.00). Main effects were observed in Cervical Cancer Screening (p = 0.00) and Healthy Lifestyles (p = 0.00). Regarding the amount of change from the initial survey, knowledge scores in the Cervical Cancer (p = 0.027) and Cervical Cancer Screening (p = 0.016) categories were significantly higher in the intervention group than in the control group. There was no significant difference in cervical cancer screening rates (p = 0.26) between the two groups. However, a small-degree effect size was observed for Benefits, Seriousness, and Susceptibility subscales in both examinees and non-examinees. Although the educational program of this study was effective in improving the knowledge of women in their twenties, there was little improvement in HBMSCCPST and it did not lead to the promotion of cervical cancer screening. In order to raise interest in cervical cancer screening, it is necessary to consider useful content to guide women to consult with healthcare professionals, a long-term population approach, and organizational structure of consultation.

Media and Information Literacy in Inclusive Education: A Team Teaching Concept at the Technische Universitat Dortmund

There is a desideratum in the research about the interdependencies of inclusive education and media education. Digital media can facilitate individualized and cooperative learning. Additionally, digital media can be used to promote inclusion. However, which factors influence the acquisition of media and information literacy in inclusive education? Comparative international studies, e.g., the International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS), show how social challenges, such as participation and handling heterogeneity at school, can be addressed through media. In numerous studies, it becomes apparent that German teachers do not sufficiently see the potential of digital media, especially for the improvement of learning opportunities for individuals with diverse learning requirements. German teachers are not well able to apply digital media appropriately in their lessons. Teachers need to be qualified and to design modern education with accessible media. In Germany, the ratio between available computers and pupils (1:4) is far better than the rate between teaching with and without computers. According to the teacher’s reports, only 9% of teachers are using digital media daily. Approximately 40% use digital media seldom or never. It seems that the cause is a skeptical attitude towards media among teachers, especially in humanities. That may result from missing didactical competences regarding digital media. The idea of Technical Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and extending that explanatory model for teachers’ competencies on the inclusive practices builds the theoretical background for the design of joint seminars by the Research Center Youth-Media-Education as part of the Faculty for Cultural Studies and the Research Cluster Technology for Inclusion and Participation at the University of Dortmund. Prospective teachers should become familiar with this way of collaboration. Already for four years now, a teaching team from these two departments designs collaborative lectures. Inclusive teaching and learning in different contexts are practiced in tutorials with practical approaches as well. In tandems, the students develop a learning situation at school or extracurricular institutions. Afterward, they present it. The presentation focuses on the concept, its teaching and learning conditions, and competence orientation as well as opportunities and limitations.

This paper deals with the educational role of library, especially university library, and in connection to this, information literacy, competence, and standards in information science. Microcomputers and their current application allow students to use them in laboratories, lecture halls, and libraries;software that are so developed that they allow to various types of computers (micros, picos, or hand-held computers) easy integration with larger systems. Information System for Administrative Services of Educational Process

The goal of this paper is to analyze and propose a reconstruction of functional possibilities and database requirements of a Web based Educational Information system. For the research the Information system of the Technology School ＂electronic Systems＂ （TUES） associated with the Technical University of Sofia is on focus. The modules for admission of students, specialty classification, and graduation of students, management of the student＇s work in computer classrooms and lecturers＇ data management have been analyzed, developed and implemented. The additionally developed modules concern mainly the management of educational process and do not affect the e-learning or the official part modules. That led to the idea that the functionality for managing educational process has to be organized in a separate module defined as module for administrative services of educational process. Such restructuring of the system will bring flexibility in further growth of the system--for example students＇ admission or selection for different purposes.

Social Education and Information Technology in China Meteorological Field

This study attempts to characterize the China meteorological administration training hosted by China Meteorological Administration Training Centre （CMATC） and relates it to the current international settings. As a higher education ＆ training organization previously, CMATC has been serving as the national base for higher continued education and on-the-job training in the meteorological field. The main tasks of CMATC are to pro- mote the training for the administrative staff at middle or higher levels in Chinese meteorological departments, such as the novel and high-level tech- nicians, operational backbones and instructors, and compile the meteorological training materials. On the other hand, a remote education ＆ training system of the meteorological division has been formed and largely improved. Additionally, we concluded that it should be a long-term development process for Chinese social education in meteorological field to entirely integrate into the current international settings.

New Information and Communication Technologies and University Education Renovation in Vietnam

The introduction of new information and communication technologies in Vietnam has had significant impacts on every sector, and changed the face of the whole Vietnamese society. New cultures, customs, and norms have been introduced to compete with the country＇s traditional values. In the context of Vietnamese sustained economic growth and social development, university education in Vietnam falls behind those from regional countries, partly because the influences of＇ information and communication technologies to the society as well as the education system at the paradigm levels have not been properly understood. In order to reverse this trend, a comprehensive renovation in university education must be carried out, and one of the first issues to be addressed is to reach a national consensus on the traditional and emerging social and educational values in Vietnam.

A Culturally-Sensitive Model for CME Distance Learning Demonstratesa Way Forward： Kenya＇s Experience with ACME-IT （Advancing Continuing Medical Education Through Information Technology）

A distance learning Continuing Medical Education （CME） project based on live interactive presentations and a group participatory model demonstrated that important strides can be made in the quality of CME available to health care professionals in African rural settings. Implementers choose a communication model consistent with the fundamental orality of Kenyan and other sub-Saharan African countries. The project involved four hospitals and one training institution in rural Kenya. The testing of learners and focus group discussions with learners, facilitators and presenters indicated that the project＇s methodologies, that strove to be culturally and work place friendly, contributed to gains in knowledge, competencies including case management, the continuity of patient care, team work, staff morale and other issues of expressed importance to the hospital healthcare work force and hospital administrators. The learning system, known as Advancing Continuing Medical Education through Information Technology （ACME-IT）, was implemented by the Kenyan Ministry of Medical Services, EC Associates and the US-funded Aphia2 Western initiative implemented by PATH. The findings of this pilot suggests that the ACME-IT methodology that set up learning centers at the participating institutions is a promising viable alternative to the traditional and relatively expensive workshop training that characterizes much of CME in lower and middle income countries.
