This paper described an ontology based multi agent knowledge process made (MAKM) which is one of multi agents systems (MAS) and uses semantic network to describe agents to help to locate relative agents distributed in the workgroup. In MAKM, an agent is the entity to implement the distributed task processing and to access the information or knowledge. Knowledge query manipulation language (KQML) is adapted to realize the communication among agents. To solve the problem of chaining distributed geographic information Web services (GI Web services), this paper provides an ontology-based method. With this method, semantic service description can be achieved by semantic annotation of the elements in a Web service description language(WSDL) document with concepts of geographic ontology, and then a common under-standing about service semantics between customers and providers of Web services is built. Based on the decomposition and formalization of customer requirements, the discovery, composition and execution of GI Web services are explained in detail, and then a chaining of GI Web services is built and used to achieve the customer's requirement. Finally, an example based on Web ontology language for service (OWL-S) is provided for testing the feasibility of this method. 展开更多

Agricultural information cooperative services (AICS) are now becoming an important aspect of agriculture informatization. This study offers an ontological conception of the agricultural production process, establishing operational divisions corresponding to both the stages and the fundamental information requirements of the dairy industry production process in China, yielding a process ontology for the dairy industry as well as a business chain model. A framework for a dairy industry information cooperative service system was established, with service functions realized in a prototype system. The resulting agricultural process ontology built on the basis of biological characteristics has advantages as a classification standard for agricultural information; whereas the business chain model based on this agricultural process ontology allows for an effective distribution of agricultural information cooperative services. This study outlines a concept and demonstrates a prototype of a cooperative service capable of integrating diverse online agricultural information relevant to the dairy industry in China. 展开更多

Due to a rapid increase in the number of functionally equivalent web services at open and dynamic Io T service environment,Qo S has become a major discrimination factor to reflect the user's expectation and experience of using a service.There are different languages and models for expressing Qo S advertisements and requirements among service providers and consumers.Therefore,it leads to the issues of semantic interoperability of Qo S information and semantic similarity match between a semantic description of the service being requested by the service consumer,and a formal description of the service being offered by the service provider.In this paper,we propose a hierarchical two-layer semantic Qo S ontology to promote the description and declaration of Qo S-based service information in detail for any domain and application.And,we develop a semantic matchmaking algorithm to compare the web services according to their Qo S information and adopt analytical hierarchy process( AHP) to make decision for the ranked services depending on the Qo S criteria.The comparison study and experimental result show that our proposed system is superior to other service ranking approaches. 展开更多

Background: The fatality of adverse drug reactions (ADR) has become one of the major causes of the non-natural disease deaths globally, with the issue of drug safety emerging as a common topic of concern. Objective: The personalized ADR early warning method, based on contextual ontology and rule learning, proposed in this study aims to provide a reference method for personalized health and medical information services. Methods: First, the patient data is formalized, and the user contextual ontology is constructed, reflecting the characteristics of the patient population. The concept of ontology rule learning is then proposed, which is to mine the rules contained in the data set through machine learning to improve the efficiency and scientificity of ontology rule generation. Based on the contextual ontology of ADR, the high-level context information is identified and predicted by means of reasoning, so the occurrence of the specific adverse reaction in patients from different populations is extracted. Results: Finally, using diabetes drugs as an example, contextual information is identified and predicted through reasoning, to mine the occurrence of specific adverse reactions in different patient populations, and realize personalized medication decision-making and early warning of ADR. 展开更多

Finding the right spatially aware web service in a heterogeneous distributed environment using criteria such as service type,version,time,space,and scale has become a challenge in the integration of geospatial information services.A new method for retrieving Open Geospatial Consortium(OGC)Web Service(OWS)that deals with this challenge using page crawling,link detection,service capability matching,and ontology reasoning,is described in this paper.Its major components are distributed OWS,the OWS search engine,the OWS ontology generator,the ontology-based OWS catalog service,and the ontology-based multi-protocol OWS client.Experimental results show that the execution time of this proposed method equals only 0.26 of that of Nutch’s method.In addition,the precision is much higher.Moreover,this proposed method can carry out complex OWS reasoning-based queries.It is being used successfully for the Antarctica multi-protocol OWS portal of the Geo-Information Web Service Portal of the Polar. 展开更多

The drastic growth of coastal observation sensors results in copious data that provide weather information.The intricacies in sensor-generated big data are heterogeneity and interpretation,driving high-end Information Retrieval(IR)systems.The Semantic Web(SW)can solve this issue by integrating data into a single platform for information exchange and knowledge retrieval.This paper focuses on exploiting the SWbase systemto provide interoperability through ontologies by combining the data concepts with ontology classes.This paper presents a 4-phase weather data model:data processing,ontology creation,SW processing,and query engine.The developed Oceanographic Weather Ontology helps to enhance data analysis,discovery,IR,and decision making.In addition to that,it also evaluates the developed ontology with other state-of-the-art ontologies.The proposed ontology’s quality has improved by 39.28%in terms of completeness,and structural complexity has decreased by 45.29%,11%and 37.7%in Precision and Accuracy.Indian Meteorological Satellite INSAT-3D’s ocean data is a typical example of testing the proposed model.The experimental result shows the effectiveness of the proposed data model and its advantages in machine understanding and IR. 展开更多

This paper attempts to establish a layered resource management model based on the locality principle which classifies services into different domains and virtual organizations (VOs) according to their shared purposes. We propose an ontologybased search method applying the ontology theory for characterizing semantic information. In addition, we extend the UD- D1 in querying, storing, and so on. 从促进无公害农产品流通,提高认证产品信息服务质量出发,该文以无公害农产品目录为研究对象,以实现认证产品信息的个性化检索与推荐为目标,进行产品目录智能服务的关键技术研究。以产品概念、属性和语义关系为主体,设计产品目录本体模型... 从促进无公害农产品流通,提高认证产品信息服务质量出发,该文以无公害农产品目录为研究对象,以实现认证产品信息的个性化检索与推荐为目标,进行产品目录智能服务的关键技术研究。以产品概念、属性和语义关系为主体,设计产品目录本体模型,建立产品目录领域本体,形成无公害农产品电子化目录;基于产品目录领域本体,从本体概念层面进行用户兴趣特征建模,采用语义清晰度与用户兴趣度的综合值设置概念权值,建立个性化产品目录加权本体模型,并设计个性化产品目录加权本体建立算法,实现用户兴趣的动态、准确和全面描述;通过个体过滤、综合过滤、概念映射、语义查询扩展和查询结果优化,构建个性化产品目录信息推荐与检索算法,建立产品目录智能服务系统。在检索结果用户满意度对比试验中,相比于基于领域本体检索、基于语义相似度优化检索和基于个性化本体优化检索3种方式,分别提高了31%、21%和14%,结果表明可在一定程度上提高无公害农产品目录信息检索推荐的质量和满意度,满足个性化的需求,同时也可为无公害农产品推广、品牌化销售和电子化交易提供技术支撑,具有较好的应用前景。 展开更多
