Business Performance, Business Strategy, and Information System Strategic Alignment: An Empirical Study on Chinese Firms 被引量:4

The alignment between information systems (IS) and business strategy along with its implications for perceived IS effectiveness and business performance is an important question, which is rarely studied in China. Based on an empirical study, this paper summarized the significance of IS strategic alignment and its impact on business performance. This study also measured business strategy, information system strategy, and information system strategic alignment, built a conceptual model to describe the relationship between these factors, and investigated their implications for information system performance and business performance. A structural equation model was employed to test the conceptual model. Analyses of data gathered in a survey indicate that information system strategic alignment is a better predictor of business performance than business strategy or information system strategy alone, although business strategy can significantly influence business performance. 展开更多

Transient stability batch assessment(TSBA)is es-sential for dynamic security check in both power system planning and day-ahead dispatch.It is also a necessary technique to generate sufficient training data for data-driven online transient stability assessment(TSA).However,most existing work suffers from various problems including high computational burden,low model adaptability,and low performance robustness.Therefore,it is still a significant challenge in modern power systems,with numerous scenarios(e.g.,operating conditions and"N-k"contin-gencies)to be assessed at the same time.The purpose of this work is to construct a data-driven method to early terminate time-domain simulation(TDS)and dynamically schedule TSBA task queue a prior,in order to reduce computational burden without compromising accuracy.To achieve this goal,a time-adaptive cas-caded convolutional neural networks(CNNs)model is developed to predict stability and early terminate TDS.Additionally,an information entropy based prioritization strategy is designed to distinguish informative samples,dynamically schedule TSBA task queue and timely update model,thus further reducing simulation time.Case study in IEEE 39-bus system validates the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

Farmers’Demand for Informal Risk Management Strategy and Weather Index Insurance:Evidence from China 被引量:1

In the absence of formal risk management strategies,agricultural production in China is highly vulnerable to climate change.In this study,field experiments were conducted with 344 households in Heilongjiang(Northeast China)and Jiangsu(East China)Provinces.Probit and logistic models and independent sample T-test were used to explore farmers’demand for weather index insurance,in contrast to informal risk management strategies,and the main factors that affect demand.The results show that the farmers prefer weather index insurance to informal risk management strategies,and farmers’characteristics have significant impacts on their adoption of risk management strategies.The variables non-agricultural labor ratio,farmers’risk perception,education,and agricultural insurance purchase experience significantly affect farmers’weather index insurance demand.The regression results show that the farmers’weather index insurance demand and the influencing factors in the two provinces are different.Farmers in Heilongjiang Province have a higher participation rate than those in Jiangsu Province.The government should conduct more weather index insurance pilot programs to help farmers understand the mechanism,and insurance companies should provide more types of weather index insurance to meet farmers’diversified needs. 展开更多

A series of studies demonstrate that consumers have fairness judgments about the retailer's price which will impact their shopping decisions. Thus, it is necessary for the retailer to take consumers' fairness concerns into account when setting his pricing policies. We assume that when the retailer's price is lower than a consumer's justice reference price, the consumer is likely to sense a positive price unfairness that will lead to increased consumer utility, and when the retailer's price is higher than a consumer's justice reference price, the consumer is likely to sense a negative price unfairness-that will have a negative effect on consumer utility. According to the information conditions of the consumers' justice reference price, the retailer should consider three situations: certain information, random information and partial information. In all situations, we show that the retailer has a unique optimal pricing strategy. Finally, through numerical examples, we find that our distribution-free policies perform almost the same as the results under the distributions that maximize the entropy. Our results reveal that it is important for the retailer to consider consumers' fairness concerns, otherwise he may suffer losses when Pc is very small. 展开更多
