Methods: Ten cases were selected in the Department o... Objective:Bruxism is the term used for teeth grinding or jaw clenching. An electronic monitor of bruxism was developed to evaluate bruxism duration and frequency. Methods: Ten cases were selected in the Department of Prosthodontics of Jiangsu Stomatological Hospital to evaluate the monitor. A stabilization occlusal splint was fabricated for each of the 10 cases. The vertical dimension for each splint was 0.5 nun lower than mandibular postural position. Some sensors had been prearranged at each splint which could transfer the variation of the biting force into electronic signals. The data of sleeping duration, grinding duration and grinding frequency were recorded with this new type of bruxism monitor, which had been specifically invented to study bruxism. Results:The data from 10 bruxism cases were collected and the results were considered reliable. Subjects nocturnal duration parameters did not change significantly from night-to-night. Conclusion:The bmxism monitor can automatically measure and record bruxism data using an occlusal splint. This device is valuable for diagnosis and evaluation of bruxism. 展开更多

Through comparative analysis and visual analysis, realized at different times of the Loess fill internal detection data visualization and analysis presented. A condition monitoring method of deep-hole drilling based on multi-sensor information fusion is discussed. The signal of vibration and cutting force are collected when the condition of deep-hole drilling on stainless steel 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb is normal or abnormal. Four eigenvectors are extracted on time-domain and frequency-domain analysis of the signals. Then the four eigenvectors are combined and sent to neural networks to dispose. The fusion results indicate that multi-sensor information fusion is superior to single-sensor information, and that cutting force signal can reflect the condition of cutting tool better than vibration signal. 展开更多

Regarding the current difficulties in SME(small and medium enterprise)supervision,especially considering the problem that the emission reduction task cannot be effectively implemented under the off-site daily supervision and the new normal of epidemic prevention with control of heavily polluted weather,a new type of intelligent power management technology has been proposed.Power information collection equipment and intelligent data collection and transmission terminal are installed to collect power consumption information of enterprise production facilities and pollution control facilities,and their operating conditions are monitored in 24 h.Abnormal operation alarm and closed-loop disposal management are provided through the software platform.The practical application of power monitoring technology in Rizhao City proves that the system alarms accurately and monitors efficiently.On the one hand,it has improved the efficiency of daily supervision of the ecological environment department,and can accurately investigate and correct corporate pollution control violations.On the other hand,it has enriched environmental supervision methods to accurately control the implementation of emergency emission reduction measures.The application of this technology has realized the transformation from civil defense to technical defense,from random law enforcement to precise law enforcement,and from on-site law enforcement to off-site law enforcement in the supervision of polluting enterprises in the jurisdiction,creating a new mode of off-site law enforcement for enterprises. 展开更多

Bridge health monitoring (BHM) has become increasingly significant in the life-cycle of the structure such as maintenance, repair and rehabilitation. It is necessary to use BHM information efficiently to assess the working conditions of the bridge. The main objective of this study is to develop an effective method and establish a framework for the real-time reliability assessment based on BHM acceleration information. The first-passage probability and its further development have been proposed to as- sess the reliability probability. The first-passage probability shows the probability of that a scalar process exceeds a designated threshold during a given time interval. The advantage of the proposed method is the assessment of the real-time reliability probability based on the monitoring information during an assessment reference period. Furthermore, the velocity data and displacement data are calculated from the acceleration monitoring data using the relationships between their power spectral density (PSD) functions. The real-time reliability assessment of Donghai Bridge, which is the first large scale cross-sea bridge in China, demonstrates that the proposed method is efficient and effective. 展开更多

False monitoring information is a major problem in process production system and several ineffective methods have been proposed to identify false monitoring information in the production system. In this paper, a new method is proposed to identify false monitoring information based on system coupling analysis and collision detection from the perspective of data analysis. Coupling multifractal features are extracted to reflect the changes in coupling relationship by utilizing the multifractal detrended cross-correlation analysis (MF-DXA). Each monitoring variable in process production system has more than one coupled variable, which can be regarded as multi-source. To achieve low redundancy in features and uniform description of coupling relationship, the feature level information fusion is studied based on modified Mahalanobis Taguchi system (MTS). False alarms are identified when the coupling relationships among the coupled monitoring variables collide. Analysis results of coupled R?ssler and Henon datasets indicate the feasibility of this method for selecting the effective coupling feature and uniform description of coupling relationship. The compressor system case of Coal Chemical Ltd. Group is studied and false monitoring information is identified. 展开更多

The updating of a specific web page is modeled as a Poisson process with parameter to indicate the change frequency. As the amount of computing resources is limited, it is nec- essary to find some policies for reducing the overall change-detection time. Different allocation schemas are evaluated experimentally to find out which one is the most suitable for the web information monitoring prob- lem. Monitoring involves knowing that you know or do not know some information without taking corrective action. Control involves taking corrective action based on the knowledge that you know or do not know some information. In comparative metacognition, considerable attention has been paid toward critically assessing putative evidence for information monitoring in non-human animals. However, less attention has been paid toward critically evaluating evidence for control processes in animals. We briefly review a critique of information-monitoring in animals. Next, we apply these concepts to a number of studies that focus on information seeking in animals. The main type of evidence for control processes in animals come from tube tipping experiments. Before having the opportunity to search for the bait in these experiments, the subject sometimes observes opaque tubes being baited but is sometimes prevented from seeing the baiting. The observations that the subjects look more if baiting was not seen and are more accurate if baiting was seen have been taken as evidence for metacognition in information-seeking experiments. We propose simple alternative hypotheses that are sufficient to explain putative evidence for information seeking in animals without positing metacognition. The alternative explanation focuses on two relatively simple principles: First, an animal has a default "look before you go" response which supersedes random searches in space. Second, spatially guided behavior follows a default rule of "go where something good is." These principles can explain the results of tube tipping experiments without proposing metacognition [Current Zoology 57 (4): 531-542, 2011]. 展开更多
