Analysis and Innovative Strategies of Tax Preferential Policies to Promote the Sustainable Development of Small-Scale Individual Businesses

This study conducted an in-depth analysis of the current tax preferential policies for small-scale individual businesses and compared them with similar policies both domestically and internationally,aiming to reveal the advantages and disadvantages of the current system.After examining the impact of these tax preferential policies on the economic status of individual business owners and the broader social economy,this article proposes a set of innovative tax preferential strategies based on theoretical foundations.By developing these innovative strategies and clarifying their implementation paths,the aim is to promote the sustainable and healthy development of small-scale individual businesses,thereby fostering comprehensive socio-economic progress.The conclusion of this study not only summarizes policy recommendations with practical significance but also provides theoretical support for the optimization and innovation of future related systems.

Innovative Strategies for Financial Investment Management Strategies of Enterprises in the New Era

With the in-depth development of economic globalization and the continuous emergence of new technologies,the importance of enterprise financial investment management strategy is becoming more and more prominent.The traditional financial investment management strategy can no longer meet the needs of enterprises in the new era and needs to be innovated with the times.For enterprises,the effectiveness and scientificity of financial investment management strategy will directly affect the competitiveness and long-term development of enterprises.Therefore,this study chooses the innovation based on the financial investment management strategy of enterprises in the new era as the research theme,aiming at exploring the innovative strategy to adapt to the needs of enterprises in the new era.

Appraisal of Existing HIV/AIDs Prevention and Control Measures and Presentation of Innovative Strategies to End HIV/AIDS Epidemic by 2030

Background: Globally, UNAIDS report 2022 shows, there are 84.2 million people affected by HIV/AIDS and 40.1 million deaths from AIDS since the start of epidemic. In sub-Saharan Africa, women and girls accounted for 63% of all new HIV infections in 2021 with, six in seven new HIV infections among adolescents aged 15 - 19 years being girls. Key populations accounted for 70% of HIV infections globally in 2021, with 51% of these new HIV infections in sub-Saharan Africa. Reflecting on the 4 decades’ journey of HIV epidemic amidst local, national and international efforts, the UN target of ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030 remains questionable unless new innovative ways are used. This study aimed at analyzing existing HIV/AIDS interventions, discuss UN interventions in line with ending HIV/AIDS by 2030 then, suggest and discuss new innovative ways of ending HIV scourge by 2030. Methods: Systematic literature review methodology was used to extract existing published information on HIV prevention strategies from 1981 to 2023. The articles were previewed by 2 experts for quality and grouped by intervention. Of the 637 articles accessed, on HIV prevention/control only 45 met the inclusion criteria. Data were synthesized using a narrative synthesis approach following standard guidelines on synthesis without meta-analysis. Descriptive analysis was done, strength and limitations were identified. UNAIDS recommendations for ending HIV/AIDS by 2030 identified and analyzed. New Innovations in HIV/AIDS were presented and discussed. The scope of the reviewed literature was limited to HIV preventive strategies practiced between 1981 and 2023. Results: Findings show that, Uganda’s HIV prevalence was at a peak in 1991 of 15% (30% among pregnant women in urban areas). ABC strategy is claimed to have turned sharply downward the prevalence through the mid-1990s and reached 5% (14% for pregnant urban women) by 2001. Analysis of the strategy showed that the achievements of the strategy could not be sustained, subsequently HIV prevalence rose again. This is because none of the ABC components can independently reduce HIV problem. In the real world, 100% abstinence has failed, condom use only reduces infection by 90% (WHO), and lifelong monogamy is impractical. Such limitations weaken ABC strategy. The study established that Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) i.e. taking HIV medicines within 72 hours (3 days) after a possible exposure to HIV infection is a safe, effective and a globally practiced HIV preventive intervention in emergency situations of HIV exposure. However, PEP is limited to care sought within 72 hours after exposure and yet timely access especially in rural areas and for key populations remains a big challenge. Oral PrEP was also identified as effective HIV preventive measure that can reduce HIV risk from sex by about 99% and from injection drug users by 74%. However, like PEP, timely access especially in rural areas and for key populations remains a big challenge. The UNAIDS 95-95-95 strategy (i.e. 95% of people know their HIV status, 95% with +HIV status be on sustained ART and 95% on ART get viral load suppression) formed the basis for setting the target of ending HIV/AIDS epidemic by 2030. However, our analysis shows that this target is unrealistic given the above highlighted limitations/ barriers in preventive measures and the unlikely perfect adherence (100%) to ART by all enrolled HIV positive persons. Conclusion: Ending HIV/AIDS by 2030 cannot be achieved by implementing the current preventing strategies and control measures. This study established that most of the existing HIV preventive strategies and control measures have a number of limitations. However, with sustained UN 95-95-95 strategy supplemented with additional innovative ways, there is hope that the UN dream of ending HIV/AIDS though not necessarily by 2030, can in the long run be achieved.

Innovative Strategies for Overall Water Splitting Using Nanostructured Transition Metal Electrocatalysts

Electrochemical water splitting is regarded as the most auspicious technology for renewable sources,transport,and storage of hydrogen energy.Currently,noble Pt metal and noble-metal oxides(IrO_(2)and RuO_(2))are recognized as state-of-the-art electrocatalysts for both the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER),respectively.Searching for earth-abundant electrocatalysts for the HER and OER with remarkable performance and high stability to replace precious metals plays a significant role in the commercial application of electrochemical water splitting.In this review,recent advancements in nanostructured transition metal electrocatalysts are assessed through the selected examples of nitrides,carbides,phosphides,sulfides,borides,layered double hydroxides,and oxides.Recent breakthroughs in nanostructured transition metal electrocatalysts are discussed in terms of their mechanisms,controllable production,structural design,and innovative strategies for boosting their performance.For instance,most nanostructured transition metal electrocatalysts for overall water splitting(OWS)only function well in neutral and alkaline solutions.Finally,current research challenges and future perspectives for increasing the performance of nanostructured transition metals for OWS are proposed.

Effects of ambiguity on innovation strategies

Technological innovations significantly influence individual firms and other innova-tions,such as financial innovations.The future of a firm depends on its innovation investment strategy.According to the literature,innovation investments are affected by ambiguity.This study examines how ambiguity affects the innovation strategies of managers.We show that the innovation strategies of ambiguity-averse managers differ from those of ambiguity-neutral managers.Unlike ambiguity-neutral managers,ambiguity-averse managers consider a broader variety of innovation strategies for a wider range of future innovation arrival times.Regarding the profitability of a future innovation,ambiguity-averse managers delay the investment decision until the profit-ability of the innovation is less ambiguous.Moreover,we examine innovation strategies under various conditions,including the risk of innovation outdatedness,management disputes,and the varying volatility of innovations.

Monitoring and simulation of water,heat,and CO_2 fluxes in terrestrial ecosystems based on the APEIS-FLUX system

The Integrated Environmental Monitoring (IEM) project, part of the Asia-Pacific Environmental Innovation Strategy (APEIS) project, developed an integrated environmental monitoring system that can be used to detect, monitor, and assess environmental disasters, degradation, and their impacts in the Asia-Pacific region. The system primarily employs data from the moderate resolution imaging spectrometer (MODIS) sensor on the Earth Observation System-(EOS-) Terra/Aqua satellite, as well as those from ground observations at five sites in different ecological systems in China. From the preliminary data analysis on both annual and daily variations of water, heat and CO2 fluxes, we can confirm that this system basically has been working well. The results show that both latent flux and CO2 flux are much greater in the crop field than those in the grassland and the saline desert, whereas the sensible heat flux shows the opposite trend. Different data products from MODIS have very different correspondence, e.g. MODIS-derived land surface temperature has a close correlation with measured ones, but LAI and NPP are quite different from ground measurements, which suggests that the algorithms used to process MODIS data need to be revised by using the local dataset. We are now using the APEIS-FLUX data to develop an integrated model, which can simulate the regional water, heat, and carbon fluxes. Finally, we are expected to use this model to develop more precise high-order MODIS products in Asia-Pacific region.

Technology Progress Path and Catchup Strategy for Late-Moving Large Countries

Based on the endogenous technology progress framework for late-moving large countries,this paper simulates the effects of market size on technology progress path and technology catch-up,and finds that under the strategy of combining innovation with imitation,the increase of market size will restrain the convergence of economies towards technology frontier and deepen their reliance on imitation.Under the strategy of replacing imitation with innovation,there is a non-uniform U-shaped threshold effect for market size to influence technology progress path and catch-up,and the threshold for the shift of technology progress path lags behind that for technology catch-up.Hence,we should follow technology catch-up as the benchmark and timely adjust our innovation strategy to unleash the advantages of economies of scale for innovation.The innovation-driven development strategy is a choice compatible with China’s changing market size.However,since China remains in a transition from a super-large economy to a super-strong one,the contribution of innovation will decrease at first before increasing afterwards.

Research on Innovation Strategy of Supply Chain Management of Agricultural Enterprises Under the Background of Big Data

With the rapid development and widespread application of Big Data technology, the supply chain management of agricultural products enterprises is facing unprecedented reform and challenges. This study takes the perspective of Big Data technology and collects relevant information on the application of supply chain management in 100 agricultural product enterprises through a survey questionnaire. The study found that the use of Big Data can effectively improve the accuracy of demand forecasting, inventory management efficiency, optimize logistics costs, improve supplier management efficiency, enhance the overall level of supply chain management of enterprises, and propose innovative strategies for supply chain management of agricultural products enterprises based on this. Big Data technology brings a new solution for agricultural products enterprises to enhance their supply chain management level, making the supply chain smarter and more efficient.

Influences of Technical Innovation Mode on Innovation Strategy of Energy Enterprises

Technical innovation is the core for enterprise competence and sustaining. Technical innovation strategy is the policy which the enterprise carries out for technology innovation in a long term. The paper took the practice of the technology innovation strategy in Petro China Changqing Oilfield Company as a case study, and illustrated the significance, function and features of the self-developed technology innovation, cooperation development technology innovation and introduction-innovation based on the strategy structure of the energy enterprises. The suggestions for technology innovation strategy structure for large energy enterprise were proposed in the paper.

IT Investment and Innovation Performance of Industrial Enterprises:Empirical Evidence from Chinese Listed Companies

In this paper,a theoretical frame on how the IT investment influences the innovation performance of enterprise is set up,and the data of Chinese industrial listed companies is used to conduct an empirical test.The study shows that IT investment can improve the innovation performance of enterprises on the whole,but there is heterogeneity among different types of enterprises.Specifically,IT investment of low-innovation strategy-oriented enterprises has a stronger effect on innovation performance than high-innovation strategy-oriented enterprises;IT investment of large enterprises has a more significant effect on innovation performance;and IT investment of state-owned enterprises has a stronger effect on innovation performance than that of non-state-owned enterprises.These conclusions not only provide microscopic evidence for the promotion of innovation performance by IT investment of industrial enterprises,but also have important policy implications for the integration of informatization and industrialization and the construction of a digital China.
