Quantitative evaluation of lateral sealing of extensional fault by an integral mathematical-geological model

To evaluate the lateral sealing mechanism of extensional fault based on the pressure difference between fault and reservoir, an integral mathematical-geological model of diagenetic time on diagenetic pressure considering the influence of diagenetic time on the diagenetic pressure and diagenetic degree of fault rock has been established to quantitatively calculate the lateral sealing ability of extensional fault. By calculating the time integral of the vertical stress and horizontal in-situ stress on the fault rock and surrounding rock, the burial depth of the surrounding rock with the same clay content and diagenesis degree as the target fault rock was worked out. In combination with the statistical correlation of clay content, burial depth and displacement pressure of rock in the study area, the displacement pressure of target fault rock was calculated quantitatively. The calculated displacement pressure was compared with that of the target reservoir to quantitatively evaluate lateral sealing state and ability of the extensional fault. The method presented in this work was used to evaluate the sealing of F_(1), F_(2) and F_(3) faults in No.1 structure of Nanpu Sag, and the results were compared with those from fault-reservoir displacement pressure differential methods without considering the diagenetic time and simple considering the diagenetic time. It is found that the results calculated by the integral mathematical-geological model are the closest to the actual underground situation, the errors between the hydrocarbon column height predicted by this method and the actual column height were 0–8 m only, proving that this model is more feasible and credible. 展开更多

With the continuous development of the oblique photography technique, it has been used more and more widely in the field of geological disasters. It can quickly obtain the three-dimensional(3D) real scene model of dangerous mountainous areas under the premise of ensuring the safety of personnel while restoring the real geographic information as much as possible. However, geological disaster areas are often accompanied by many adverse factors such as cliffs and dense vegetation. Based on this, the paper introduced the flight line design of oblique photogrammetry, analyzed the multi-platform data fusion processing, studied the multi-period data dynamic evaluation technology and proposed the application methods of data acquisition, early warning, disaster assessment and decision management suitable for geological disaster identification through the analysis of actual cases, which will help geologists to plan and control geological work more scientifically and rationally, improve work efficiency and reduce the potential personnel safety hazards in the process of geological survey, to offer technical support to the application of oblique photogrammetry in geological disaster identification and decision making and provide the scientific basis for personal and property safety protection and later-stage geological disaster management in disaster areas. 展开更多

Optimization of integrated geological-engineering design of volume fracturing with fan-shaped well pattern

According to the variable toe-to-heel well spacing, combined with the dislocation theory, discrete lattice method, and finite-element-method(FEM) based fluid-solid coupling, an integrated geological-engineering method of volume fracturing for fan-shaped well pattern is proposed considering the geomechanical modeling, induced stress calculation, hydraulic fracturing simulation, and post-frac productivity evaluation. Besides, we propose the differential fracturing design for the conventional productivity-area and the potential production area for fan-shaped horizontal wells. After the fracturing of the conventional production area for H1 fan-shaped well platform, the research shows that the maximum reduction of the horizontal principal stress difference in the potential productivity-area is 0.2 MPa, which cannot cause the stress reversal, but this reduction is still conducive to the lateral propagation of hydraulic fractures. According to the optimized fracturing design, in zone-Ⅰ of the potential production area, only Well 2 is fractured, with a cluster spacing of 30 m and an injection rate of 12 m^(3)/min per stage;in zone-Ⅱ, Well 2 is fractured before Well 3, with a cluster spacing of 30 m and an injection rate of 12 m^(3)/min per stage. The swept area of the pore pressure drop in the potential production area is small, showing that the reservoir is not well developed. The hydraulic fracturing in the toe area can be improved by, for example, properly densifying the fractures and adjusting the fracture distribution, in order to enhance the swept volume and increase the reservoir utilization. 展开更多

A novel magnetic integrated controllable reactor of transformer type(CRT)has the advantages of simple structure,flexible assembly,convenient maintenance and practicability.To analyze its operation characteristics accurately,we establish corresponding equivalent mathematical model considering magnetic leakage based on magnetic circuit and circuit dualistic transformation method.The distribution of magnetic leakage field of each winding is analyzed qualitatively,and the analytical calculation formulas of magnetizing inductance and leakage inductance of each winding are derived.Based on this,the analytical calculation formulas of short-circuit impedance and winding current of CRT under different working conditions are derived.The field-circuit coupling finite element model of the magnetic integrated CRT is established to simulate the current of each winding under different working conditions.The results show that the analytical calculation results of each winding current have good consistency with the finite element calculation results,indicating the validity of CRT equivalent mathematical model and correctness of the analytical formulas of leakage inductance,short-circuit impedance and winding current of CRT.The working winding current of CRT is increasing gradually with the operation of control winding in turn to realise the transition of CRT compensation capacity from zero to a rated value. 展开更多

The study is focused on modeling of separation process and optimization.An adsorption separation process is simulated.The surfactin production process by Bacillus subtilis ATCC 21332 followed by surfactin adsorption in a fixed-bed column packed with commercial active carbon is studied in laboratory.The adsorption column achieves high surfactin recovery(94%)by up-flow methanol elution at 25°C.The adsorption column is simulated with a complex one-dimensional plug flow dispersion model coupled with nonlinear adsorption equilibrium,based on the assumption that the adsorption of surfactin is monomolecular layer and no micelle is formed.The molecular diffusion coefficient of surfactin in water solution with electric neutrality is estimated to be 0.428×10 -5 cm 2 ·s -1 by molecular dynamics simulation.The model developed can describe the complex interplay of adsorption kinetics,fluid dynamics,and mass-transfer phenomena based on the assumption of no radial temperature and concentration gradients,and is of adequate precision.The work involved in this paper is valuable for the optimization of the production process of surfactin. 展开更多

有限元地应力场数值模拟在石油勘探开发、工程开挖领域应用广泛,有限元应力分析软件ANSYS凭借其强大的通用处理能力受到青睐;但是在地应力分析过程中该软件建模能力较弱,不能构建复杂的三维地质模型;其建模过程烦琐,且无法直接处理钻孔... 有限元地应力场数值模拟在石油勘探开发、工程开挖领域应用广泛,有限元应力分析软件ANSYS凭借其强大的通用处理能力受到青睐;但是在地应力分析过程中该软件建模能力较弱,不能构建复杂的三维地质模型;其建模过程烦琐,且无法直接处理钻孔、测井与地震等地学数据,同时考虑整个地应力求解过程人工参与较多,自动化水平较低。针对以上问题,地应力场模拟自动化系统将地质建模与地应力求解置于同一个平台环境下,利用三维地质建模技术构建地下岩体模型,展现地层之间的相互接触关系,并进行有限元求解得到三维地应力场分布。该系统能够提高建模效率、降低建模误差、简化材料参数设置,从而提高了地应力场建模自动化水平。 展开更多

预测隧道涌水量对于保障隧道施工安全、进度、洞室稳定和人身安全问题至关重要。国内外学者已提出多种预测方法,但是存在不同适用条件,根据隧道的水文地质条件选取恰当的方法能有效提高预测精度。对解析公式法、经验公式法、数值法、随... 预测隧道涌水量对于保障隧道施工安全、进度、洞室稳定和人身安全问题至关重要。国内外学者已提出多种预测方法,但是存在不同适用条件,根据隧道的水文地质条件选取恰当的方法能有效提高预测精度。对解析公式法、经验公式法、数值法、随机性数学模型预测法等多种涌水量预测方法进行了系统梳理和分析,通过对这些方法的基本原理及适用条件进行综合分析,讨论了当前涌水量预测方法存在的不足之处,并提出改进方向。结果表明:解析公式法应用简单,但结果偏差较大;经验公式法源于工程案例总结,适用于相似条件下隧道涌水量预测;数值法通过数学模型模拟,可以解决复杂水文地质条件下的涌水量预测,但对勘察设计阶段获取的水文地质参数提出更高的要求;随机性数学模型方法需要大量数据来保证结果的准确性;其他方法主要依赖于地理信息系统(GIS)技术、同位素分析法等手段,通过科学分析来识别并判断地下水量及其流动通道的地质特征,需要充分的数据支持和详尽的地下勘探结果作为依据。研究成果可为实际工程中选择合适的涌水量预测方法提供参考。 展开更多

Short-term displacement prediction for newly established monitoring slopes based on transfer learning

This study makes a significant progress in addressing the challenges of short-term slope displacement prediction in the Universal Landslide Monitoring Program,an unprecedented disaster mitigation program in China,where lots of newly established monitoring slopes lack sufficient historical deformation data,making it difficult to extract deformation patterns and provide effective predictions which plays a crucial role in the early warning and forecasting of landslide hazards.A slope displacement prediction method based on transfer learning is therefore proposed.Initially,the method transfers the deformation patterns learned from slopes with relatively rich deformation data by a pre-trained model based on a multi-slope integrated dataset to newly established monitoring slopes with limited or even no useful data,thus enabling rapid and efficient predictions for these slopes.Subsequently,as time goes on and monitoring data accumulates,fine-tuning of the pre-trained model for individual slopes can further improve prediction accuracy,enabling continuous optimization of prediction results.A case study indicates that,after being trained on a multi-slope integrated dataset,the TCN-Transformer model can efficiently serve as a pretrained model for displacement prediction at newly established monitoring slopes.The three-day average RMSE is significantly reduced by 34.6%compared to models trained only on individual slope data,and it also successfully predicts the majority of deformation peaks.The fine-tuned model based on accumulated data on the target newly established monitoring slope further reduced the three-day RMSE by 37.2%,demonstrating a considerable predictive accuracy.In conclusion,taking advantage of transfer learning,the proposed slope displacement prediction method effectively utilizes the available data,which enables the rapid deployment and continual refinement of displacement predictions on newly established monitoring slopes. 展开更多
