Coordinated restoration optimization of power-gas integrated energy system with mobile emergency sources

In an integrated energy system(IES) composed of multiple subsystems, energy coupling causes an energy supply blockage or shutdown in one subsystem, thereby affecting the energy flow distribution optimization of other subsystems.The energy supply should be globally optimized during the IES energy supply restoration process to produce the highest restoration net income. Mobile emergency sources can be quickly and flexibly connected to supply energy after an energy outage to ensure a reliable supply to the system, which adds complexity to the decision. This study focuses on a powergas IES with mobile emergency sources and analyzes the coupling relationship between the gas distribution system and the power distribution system in terms of sources, networks, and loads, and the influence of mobile emergency source transportation. The influence of the transient process caused by the restoration operation of the gas distribution system on the power distribution system is also discussed. An optimization model for power-gas IES restoration was established with the objective of maximizing the net income. The coordinated restoration optimization decision-making process was also built to realize the decoupling iteration of the power-gas IES, including system status recognition, mobile emergency source dispatching optimization, gas-to-power gas flow optimization, and parallel intra-partition restoration scheme optimization for both the power and gas distribution systems. A simulation test power-gas IES consisting of an 81-node medium-voltage power distribution network, an 89-node medium-pressure gas distribution network, and four mobile emergency sources was constructed. The simulation analysis verified the efficiency of the proposed coordinated restoration optimization method.

Source Text Borrowing in Summary of Integrated Writing

Integrated writing tasks,requiring writers to summarize source content and integrate their ideas or experience with those in the source text,are widely used in standardized tests of English proficiency.Integrated writing adds an element not found in traditional independent writing:the use of source text material.Recently,concern has been raised that over-reliance on source texts in integrated writing may lead to plagiarism as well as inaccurate assessment which calls for further investigation.Research on L2 students’writing using sources has broadened its focus from transgressive citing practices to stages of skill development in this complicated literacy,the successive challenges students face,and how instruction might be of benefit.Previous literature mainly focused on source use in academic writing and seldom considered summary writing in standardized tests,while summary strategy is particularly important in standardized tests,in which summary accounts for a significant part of the assessment criteria.Given that a series of previous literature have indicated that source text use,source texts,and prompts are associated with the quality of summary writing,this article reviews the source text borrowing in the summary of integrated writing to further explore the relationship between some variables and the quality of summary writing and therefore finds some research gaps in this field.

Watts-level ultraviolet-CLED integrated light sources for efficient surface and air sterilization

With the epidemic of the coronavirus disease(COVID-19) infection, AlGaN-based ultraviolet-C light emitting diodes(UVC-LEDs) have attracted widespread attention for their sterilization application. However, the sterilization characters of high power integrated light sources(ILSs) haven’t been widely investigated before utilizing in public sanitary security. In this work,by integrating up to 195 UVC-LED chips, high power UVC-LED ILSs with a light output power(LOP) of 1.88 W were demonstrated. The UVC-LED ILSs were verified to have efficient and rapid sterilization capability, which have achieved more than99.9% inactivation rate of several common pathogenic microorganisms within 1 s. In addition, the corresponding air sterilization module based on them was also demonstrated to kill more than 97% of Staphylococcus albus in the air of 20 m3 confined room within 30 min. This work demonstrates excellent sterilization ability of UVC-LED ILSs with high LOP, revealing great potential of UVC-LEDs in sterilization applications in the future.

Integrated Joint Source-Channel Symbol-by-Symbol Decoding of Variable-Length Codes Using 3-D MAP Sequence Estimation

Most of multimedia schemes employ variable-length codes (VLCs) like Huffman code as core components in obtaining high compression rates. However VLC methods are very sensitive to channel noise. The goal of this paper is to salvage as many data from the damaged packets as possible for higher audiovisual quality. This paper proposes an integrated joint source-channel decoder (I-JSCD) at a symbol-level using three-dimensional (3-D) trellis representation for first-order Markov sources encoded with VLC source code and convolutional channel code. This method combines source code and channel code state-spaces and bit-lengths to construct a two-dimensional (2-D) state-space,and then develops a 3-D trellis and a maximum a-posterior (MAP) algorithm to estimate the source sequence symbol by symbol. Experiment results demonstrate that our method results in significant improvement in decoding performance,it can salvage at least half of (50%) data in any channel error rate,and can provide additional error resilience to VLC stream like image,audio,video stream over high error rate links.

Integrated Joint Source-Channel Decoding for H.264 Video Transmission

This paper proposes an integrated joint source-channel decoder (I-JSCD) using Max-Log-MAP method for sources en-coded with exp-Golomb codes and convolutional codes, and pro-poses a system applying this method to decoding the VLC data, e.g. motion vector differences (MVDs), of H.264 across an AWGN channel. This method combines the source code state-space and the channel code state-space together to construct a joint state-space, develops a 3-D trellis and a maximum a-posterior (MAP) algorithm to estimate the source sequence symbol by symbol, and then uses max-log approximation to simplify the al-gorithm. Experiments indicate that the proposed system gives significant improvements on peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) (maximum about 15 dB) than a separate scheme. This also leads to a higher visual quality of video stream over a highly noisy channel.

Study on Characteristics of 3-D Translating-Pulsating Source Green Function of Deep-Water Havelock Form and Its Fast Integration Method

The singularities, oscillatory performances and the contributing factors to the 3-D translating-pulsating source Green function of deep-water Havelock form which consists of a local disturbance part and a far-field wave-like part, are analyzed systematically. Relative numerical integral methods about the two parts are presented in this paper. An improved method based on LOBATTO rule is used to eliminate singularities caused respectively by infinite discontinuity and jump discontinuous node from the local disturbance part function, which makes the improvement of calculation efficiency and accuracy possible. And variable substitution is applied to remove the singularity existing at the end of the integral interval of the far-field wave-like part function. Two auxiliary techniques such as valid interval calculation and local refinement of integral steps technique in narrow zones near false singularities are applied so as to avoid unnecessary integration of invalid interval and improve integral accordance. Numerical test results have proved the efficiency and accuracy in these integral methods that thus can be applied to calculate hydrodynamic performance of floating structures moving in waves.

Two new integrable couplings of the soliton hierarchies with self-consistent sources

A kind of integrable coupling of soliton equations hierarchy with self-consistent sources associated with sl(4) has been presented (Yu F J and Li L 2009 Appl. Math. Comput. 207 171; Yu F J 2008 Phys. Lett. A 372 6613). Based on this method, we construct two integrable couplings of the soliton hierarchy with self-consistent sources by using the loop algebra sl(4). In this paper, we also point out that there are some errors in these references and we have corrected these errors and set up new formula. The method can be generalized to other soliton hierarchy with self-consistent sources.

Modeling the Underwater Acoustic Field Excited by an Airborne Rapidly Moving Source Using Wavenumber Integration

It is complicated to model the acoustic field in stratified ocean for airborne aircraft,due to high speed of the source and air-to-water sound transmission.To our knowledge,there are very few papers in the open literature dealing with this complicated problem;but,in our opinion,they all require great amount of computation.We now propose a different method that requires much less computation.We improve the wavenumber integration method to model the received temporal signal for a moving source in stratified ocean and sum up in a concise form the core of our paper as follows:(A) Eq.(11) can be calculated by means of fast Chirp Z transform and the signals at all N time points are generated simultaneously;(B) direct numerical evaluation of the wavenumber integral in Eq.(4) produces large numerical errors;so it is necessary to shift the integration slightly below the real axis;(C) we compare the computation cost of direct calculation method with that of our fast calculation method;from the results presented in table 1,we can see that the fast calculation method consumes much less computation time,particularly for long duration signals;(D) for an airborne rapidly moving source,we compute the Doppler-shifted signals in shallow water and analyze their short-time Fourier transform;from Fig.1b,we can see that the received signals have multiple frequency components for a tonal source due to source motion and that each component corresponds to an arrival path.

Nonlinear integrable couplings of a nonlinear Schrdinger-modified Korteweg de Vries hierarchy with self-consistent sources

By means of the Lie algebra B 2,a new extended Lie algebra F is constructed.Based on the Lie algebras B 2 and F,the nonlinear Schro¨dinger-modified Korteweg de Vries(NLS-mKdV) hierarchy with self-consistent sources as well as its nonlinear integrable couplings are derived.With the help of the variational identity,their Hamiltonian structures are generated.

Using the KISO's Framework to Integrate Knowledge Sources

In complicated application environment such as CIMS (Computer Integrated Manufacture System) enterprise, it will bring great benefits to integrate distributed knowledge sources. But the difficulties of knowledge sharing and reuse seriously encumbrance the implementation of knowledge integration. In this paper, we describe how a framework of knowledge-integrated system based on ontology (KISO) can be used to support integrating distributed knowledge sources.

A Dynamic XML-NS View Based Approach for the Extensible Integration of Web Data Sources

We propose a three-step technique to achieve this purpose. First, we utilize a collection of XML namespaces organized into hierarchical structure as a medium for expressing data semantics. Second, we define the format of resource descriptor for the information source discovery scheme so that we can dynamically register and/or deregister the Web data sources on the fly. Third, we employ an inverted-index mechanism to identify the subset of information sources that are relevant to a particular user query. We describe the design, architecture, and implementation of our approach——IWDS, and illustrate its use through case examples.

Non-isospectral integrable couplings of Ablowitz-Kaup-Newell-Segur (AKNS) hierarchy with self-consistent sources

A hierarchy of non-isospectral Ablowitz-Kaup-Newell-Segur (AKNS) equations with self-consistent sources is derived. As a general reduction case, a hierarchy of non-isospectral nonlinear Schrdinger equations (NLSE) with selfconsistent sources is obtained. Moreover, a new non-isospectral integrable coupling of the AKNS soliton hierarchy with self-consistent sources is constructed by using the Kronecker product.

Construction of Mediators for Heterogeneous Data Source Integration Systems

To construct mediators for data integration systems that integrate structured and semi-structured data, and to facilitate the reformulation and decomposition of the query, the presented system uses the XML processing language (XPL) for the mediator. With XPL, it is easy to construct mediators for data integration based on XML, and it can accelerate the work in the mediator.

Software Metric Analysis of Open-Source Business Software

Over the past decade, open-source software use has grown. Today, many companies including Google, Microsoft, Meta, RedHat, MongoDB, and Apache are major participants of open-source contributions. With the increased use of open-source software or integration of open-source software into custom-developed software, the quality of this software component increases in importance. This study examined a sample of open-source applications from GitHub. Static software analytics were conducted, and each application was classified for its risk level. In the analyzed applications, it was found that 90% of the applications were classified as low risk or moderate low risk indicating a high level of quality for open-source applications.

Electrically driven single-photon sources

Single-photon sources are building blocks for photonic quantum information processes. Of the many single-photon generation schemes, electrically driven single-photon sources have the advantages of realizing monolithic integration of quantum light sources and detectors without optical filtering, thus greatly simplify the integrated quantum photonic circuits. Here, we review recent advances on electrically driven single-photon sources based on solid-state quantum emitters, such as semiconductor epitaxial quantum dots, colloidal quantum dots, carbon nanotubes, molecules, and defect states in diamond, SiC and layered semiconductors. In particular, the merits and drawbacks of each system are discussed. Finally, the article is concluded by discussing the challenges that remain for electrically driven single-photon sources.

Geological theory and exploration & development practice of hydrocarbon accumulation inside continental source kitchens

Continental shale strata in China are rich in petroleum resources and are an important area to strengthen domestic oil exploration and development.Based on the latest progress in geological research and exploration and development of petroleum inside continental source kitchens of China National Petroleum Corporation exploration areas in recent two years,we have achieved the following results:(1)The geological connotations of continental hydrocarbon accumulation inside source kitchen and"sweet spot"have been proposed.The intra-source petroleum accumulation refers to the accumulation of liquid-rich hydrocarbons retained or captured in the continental organic-rich shale strata,and"sweet spot"refers to the favorable reservoir with higher oil content,better physical properties,easier to stimulate and higher in commercial development value in the overall oil-bearing continental source rock series,they can be divided into three types,interlayer,hybrid sediment and shale.(2)High-quality shale formations in both salt water and freshwater lacustrine basins can generate hydrocarbons on a large scale,shale strata have multiple types of favorable reservoirs with large-scale storage capacity,the intra-source shale strata are overall oil-bearing and large in resource scale,and there are multiple favorable shale series for development.The exploration and development practice is propelling the formation of a series of exploration and development key technologies with"sweet spot exploration"and"volume development"as the core.Some pilot tests of these technologies have provided an important scientific basis for the economic and effective development of hydrocarbon accumulation inside source kitchen,and popularization of these technologies have achieved encouraging results preliminarily.(3)Two types of continental intra-source petroleum resources in China have great potential,including medium-high maturity with liquid-rich hydrocarbons and medium-low maturity with organic-rich matter.The Ordos,Songliao,Bohai Bay and Junggar basins are the main areas of these resources.By addressing the theoretical and technical challenges in the exploration and development,the two types of resources inside continental source kitchens will become the realistic and major strategic replacement oil resources respectively in the future.

UNIQUENESS OF SOLUTION OF FIELD POINT OF SINGULAR SOURCE OUTSIDE-REGION-DISTRIBUTION METHOD

The uniqueness of solution of field point, inside a convex region due to singular source(s) with kernel function decreasing with distance increasing, outsidergeion-distribution(s) such that the boundary condition expressed by the response of the source(s) is satisfied, is proved by using the condition of kernel function decreasing with distance increasing and an integral inequality. Examples of part ofthese singular sources such as Kelvin’s point force, Point-Ring-Couple (PRC) etc.are given. The proof of uniqueness of solution of field point in a twisted shaft of revolution due to PRC distribution is given as an example of application.

Importance of kelp-derived organic carbon to the scallop Chlamys farreri in an integrated multi-trophic aquaculture system

Bivalves and seaweeds are important cleaners that are widely used in integrated multi-trophic aquaculture(IMTA) systems. A beneficial relationship between seaweed and bivalve in the seaweedbased IMTA system has been confirmed, but the trophic importance of seaweed-derived particulate organic materials to the co-cultured bivalve is still unclear. We evaluated the trophic importance of the kelp Saccharina japonica to the co-cultured scallop Chlamys farreri in a typical IMTA farm in Sungo Bay(Weihai, North China). The dynamics of detritus carbon in the water were monitored during the culturing period. The proportion of kelp-derived organic matter in the diet of the co-cultured scallop was assessed via the stable carbon isotope method. Results showed that the detritus carbon in the water ranged from 75.52 to 265.19 μg/L, which was 25.6% to 73.8% of total particulate organic carbon(TPOC) during the study period. The amount of detritus carbon and its proportion in the TPOC changed throughout the culture cycle of the kelp. Stable carbon isotope analysis showed that the cultured scallop obtained 14.1% to 42.8% of its tissue carbon from the kelp, and that the percentages were closely correlated with the proportion of detritus carbon in the water( F =0.993, P= 0.003). Evaluation showed that for 17 000 tons(wet weight) of annual scallop production, the kelp contributed about 139.3 tons of carbon(535.8 tons of dry mass). This confirms that cultured kelp plays a similar trophic role in IMTA systems as it does in a natural kelp bed. It is a major contributor to the detritus pool and supplies a vital food source to filter-feeding scallops in the IMTA system, especially during winter and early spring when phytoplankton are scarce.
