The paper is on the basis of theories on ESP teaching. Based on extensive investigation, it analyzes the main problems in current college English teaching which is EGP-oriented(English for General Purpose) and the necessity of teaching model"EGP + ESP"is demonstrated in this paper. Moreover, it discusses specific measures on how to conduct teaching reform on the combination of"EGP and ESP"from five aspects including faculty construction, selection of teaching materials, curriculum design, teaching model, evaluation system in order to change students' general dissatisfaction for college English teaching and achieve the goal to cultivate interdisciplinary talents of foreign language for society.展开更多
目的:调查医学生应学学习过程中对大学通用英语(English for General Purposes,EGP)或专门用途英语(English for Specific Purposes,ESP)教学需求现状,为今后开展更加合理有效的医学课程改革提供一定理论依据和数据支持。方法:对385名...目的:调查医学生应学学习过程中对大学通用英语(English for General Purposes,EGP)或专门用途英语(English for Specific Purposes,ESP)教学需求现状,为今后开展更加合理有效的医学课程改革提供一定理论依据和数据支持。方法:对385名医学生外语学习过程中EGP或ESP教学需求情况进行相关问卷调查。结果:医学生对ESP教学需求情况略高于对EGP教学需求情况,但差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);女生在EGP及ESP教学需求均高于男生,且在ESP教学需求方面差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);通过六级考试医学生对于EGP教学需求高于未通过四级语考试医学生及通过四级考试医学生,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05),而未通过四级考试医学生与通过四级考试医学生对于EGP教学需求方面差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。通过六级医学生对于ESP教学需求也明显高于未通过四级及通过四级英语考试医学生,但差异均无统计学意义。结论:医学生对于EGP教学需求具有一定的普遍性,而对于ESP教学需求则存在一定差异,在广泛开展EGP教学的前提下,有针对性的开展ESP教学,对于提升医学生的英语学习积极性将具有较好的促进作用。展开更多
