As the complexity of autonomous vehicles(AVs)continues to increase and artificial intelligence algorithms are becoming increasingly ubiquitous,a novel safety concern known as the safety of the intended functionality(S...As the complexity of autonomous vehicles(AVs)continues to increase and artificial intelligence algorithms are becoming increasingly ubiquitous,a novel safety concern known as the safety of the intended functionality(SOTIF)has emerged,presenting significant challenges to the widespread deployment of AVs.SOTIF focuses on issues arising from the functional insufficiencies of the AVs’intended functionality or its implementation,apart from conventional safety considerations.From the systems engineering standpoint,this study offers a comprehensive exploration of the SOTIF landscape by reviewing academic research,practical activities,challenges,and perspectives across the development,verification,validation,and operation phases.Academic research encompasses system-level SOTIF studies and algorithm-related SOTIF issues and solutions.Moreover,it encapsulates practical SOTIF activities undertaken by corporations,government entities,and academic institutions spanning international and Chinese contexts,focusing on the overarching methodologies and practices in different phases.Finally,the paper presents future challenges and outlook pertaining to the development,verification,validation,and operation phases,motivating stakeholders to address the remaining obstacles and challenges.展开更多

In this paper, the author proposes a specified measure of extracting SIBDS （software intended behaviors describing sets） statically from the binary executable using the software＇s API functions invoking, and also introduces the definition of the structure used to store the SIBDS in detail. Experimental results demonstrate that the extracting method and the storage structure definition offers three strong properties： （i） it can describe the software＇s intended behavior accurately; （ii） it demands a small storage expense; （iii） it provides strong capability to defend against mimicry attack.展开更多

Objectives:The study was conducted to make a bibliometric analysis of published literature in order to assess the research status of nurse turnover in China.Methods:We obtained 239 papers from two major electronic dat...Objectives:The study was conducted to make a bibliometric analysis of published literature in order to assess the research status of nurse turnover in China.Methods:We obtained 239 papers from two major electronic databases,CNKI and Wanfang from 2000 to 2015(updated to 31st,December).Articles in languages other than Chinese were excluded.The keywords used were‘nurses’or‘nursing staff’and‘leave’or‘intend to leave’.Results:A total of 239 articles met the inclusion criteria,including 33 masters'dissertations and 206 journal articles.206 articles were published in twenty-five kinds of journals in China.Nursing journals had the biggest share,about(88%,181/206).82%(196/239)articles are quantitative research.239 articles come from 26 different provinces,cities or autonomous regions.The top ten regions which have the largest number of publications are Beijing,Shandong,Shanghai,Guangdong,Heilongjiang,Jiangsu,Hunan,Zhejiang,Hubei,Liaoning provinces.The coauthored articles account for 75%of all the publications.Only a small fraction of research works has obtained fundings.Conclusion:Further studies are greatly needed on the development of sound measures to tackle nurse turnover and shortage.The following improvements should be made,such as strengthening nursing researcher'consciousness and capability and increasing nursing fundings in China.展开更多

A key factor in improving our understanding of the impact of sedentary beha...Research indicates that high levels of sedentary behavior(sitting or lying with low energy expenditure) are adversely associated with health. A key factor in improving our understanding of the impact of sedentary behavior(and patterns of sedentary time accumulation) on health is the use of objective measurement tools that collect date and time-stamped activity information. One such tool is the activP AL monitor. This thigh-worn device uses accelerometer-derived information about thigh position to determine the start and end of each period spent sitting/lying, standing, and stepping, as well as stepping speed, step counts, and postural transitions. The activP AL is increasingly being used within field-based research for its ability to measure sitting/lying via posture. We summarise key issues to consider when using the activP AL in physical activity and sedentary behavior field-based research with adult populations. It is intended that the findings and discussion points be informative for researchers who are currently using activP AL monitors or are intending to use them. Pre-data collection decisions, monitor preparation and distribution, data collection considerations, and manual and automated data processing possibilities are presented using examples from current literature and experiences from 2 research groups from the UK and Australia.展开更多
