However, manufacturing agil ...In order to compete in the global manufacturing mar ke t, agility is the only possible solution to response to the fragmented market se gments and frequently changed customer requirements. However, manufacturing agil ity can only be attained through the deployment of knowledge. To embed knowledge into a CAD system to form a knowledge intensive CAD (KIC) system is one of way to enhance the design compatibility of a manufacturing company. The most difficu lt phase to develop a KIC system is to capitalize a huge amount of legacy data t o form a knowledge database. In the past, such capitalization process could only be done solely manually or semi-automatic. In this paper, a five step model fo r automatic design knowledge capitalization through the use of data mining is pr oposed whilst details of how to select, verify and performance benchmarking an a ppropriate data mining algorithm for a specific design task will also be discuss ed. A case study concerning the design of a plastic toaster casing was used as an illustration for the proposed methodology and it was found that the avera ge absolute error of the predictions for the most appropriate algorithm is withi n 17%.展开更多
The change in land development intensity is an important perspective to reflect the variation in regional social and economic development and spatial differentiation.In this paper,spatial statistical analysis,Ordinary...The change in land development intensity is an important perspective to reflect the variation in regional social and economic development and spatial differentiation.In this paper,spatial statistical analysis,Ordinary Least Squares(OLS),and Geographically weighted regression(GWR)methods are used to systematically analyse the spatial-temporal characteristics and driving forces of land development intensity for 131 spatial units in the western China from 2000 to 2015.The findings of the study are as follows:1)The land development intensity in the western China has been increasing rapidly.From 2000 to 2015,land development intensity increased by 3.4 times on average.2)The hotspot areas have shifted from central Inner Mongolia,northern Shaanxi and the Beibu Gulf of Guangxi to the Guanzhong Plain and the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration.The areas of cold spots were mainly concentrated in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,Yunnan,and Xinjiang.3)Investment intensity and the natural environment have always been the main drivers of land development intensity in the western China.Investment played a powerful role in promoting land development intensity,while the natural and ecological environment distinctly constrained such development.The effect of the economic factors on land development intensity in the western China has changed,which is reflected in the driving factor of construction land development shifting from economic growth in 2000 to economic structure,especially industrial structure,in 2015.展开更多

Taking the coastal zone of Xiangshan Bay as a study area,based on the information of four TM images of1985,1995,2005,and2015,this study divided the land use types into8categories.Then,through calculating4kinds of inde...Taking the coastal zone of Xiangshan Bay as a study area,based on the information of four TM images of1985,1995,2005,and2015,this study divided the land use types into8categories.Then,through calculating4kinds of index models:land-use dynamic index,conversion matrix,land use structure information entropy,and comprehensive index of land development and utilization intensity,the speed,structure,degree,and the spatial-temporal changes in the land development and utilization of Xiangshan Bay coastal zone from1985to2015are researched and analyzed.Results showed that:from1985to2015,the expansion speed of aquaculture land and salt pan of Xiangshan Bay coastal zone was the fastest,the highest dynamic degree could up to11.97%,construction land expansion rate of the second,with significant increase in the area.Intertidal zone reduced by a maximum speed,and the area of farmland decreased obviously.In that30years,the main land type change direction of Xiangshan Bay coastal zone was the farmland turn into construction land,followed by forest turn into farmland.Information entropy increased by period,the land use structure homogeneity constantly strengthened and regional development became gradually mature.The change rate of land use intensity in each period was greater than zero,and the intensity of land development and utilization in Xiangshan Bay coastal zone was enhanced continuously.展开更多
Over the past 20 years,China has experienced multiple economic transitions characterized by marketization,globalization,decentralization,and urbanization;as a result,urban land development intensity(ULDI)has become a ...Over the past 20 years,China has experienced multiple economic transitions characterized by marketization,globalization,decentralization,and urbanization;as a result,urban land development intensity(ULDI)has become a significant issue for sustainable development.As China’s largest globalized urban area,the rapid socio-economic development of the Yangtze River Delta has created a huge demand for urban land.We apply a theoretical framework for a four-dimensional analysis tool to understand the dynamic evolution of the ULDI in the context of economic transition.It reveals that marketization,globalization,decentralization,and urbanization affect the ULDI in the economic transition of Yangtze River Delta.Marketization,especially the continuous improvement of land marketization,optimizes the spatial allocation of land resources and encourages urban land users to improve ULDI.Globalization promotes the rapid growth of economy and population through an increase in foreign direct investment.In the process of decentralization,local governments rely on developing a mode of land finance,resulting in a disordered urban space and low ULDI.Population growth and agglomeration during urbanization stimulates residents’consumption capacity and promotes economic growth,thus creating a greater demand for urban land.However,a low level of development and utilization restricts the improvement of development intensity.Economic development can improve the level of land-intensive use by promoting the adjustment,optimization,and upgrade of urban industrial structures.展开更多
In this work,the time development of surface enhanced Raman intensities of the vibrational modes involving the ring skeleton and the C—H motions of the pyrazine molecule as the applied voltage on the silver electrode...In this work,the time development of surface enhanced Raman intensities of the vibrational modes involving the ring skeleton and the C—H motions of the pyrazine molecule as the applied voltage on the silver electrode is shifted between -0.2 V and -0.5 V (vs.saturated calomel electrode)is reported.The observation shows that there are two processes of enhancement involved during this shift of applied voltage.One is vibrational mode dependent while the other is not.The detailed behavior of these two processes of enhancement is discussed along with the retarded response of the Helmholtz double layer structure to the change of the applied voltage on the electrode.展开更多
We investigate the relative importance of spring sea surface temperatures(SSTs)in different Indian Ocean(IO)domains,especially the northern and southern IO,for the development and intensity of the Asian summer monsoon...We investigate the relative importance of spring sea surface temperatures(SSTs)in different Indian Ocean(IO)domains,especially the northern and southern IO,for the development and intensity of the Asian summer monsoon.By performing unsupervised neural network analysis,the self-organizing map,we extract distinct patterns of springtime IO SST.The results show that the uniform warming(cooling)of the southern IO plays a crucial role in the warming(cooling)of both the basin-wide IO and tropical IO.The southern IO thus well represents the associations of basinwide IO and tropical IO with the Asian summer monsoon,and is instrumental in the relationship between the IO and summer monsoon.A warming in the southern IO is closely related to the weakening of large-scale meridional monsoon circulation in May and summer(June–August),including suppression of the South Asian monsoon development in May and the East Asian monsoon in summer.On the other hand,a warming in the northern IO appears to be associated with an earlier South Asian monsoon onset and a stronger East Asian monsoon.In summer,the connection of the springtime IO SST with the South Asian monsoon weakens,but that with the East Asian monsoon strengthens.Finally,a robust negative correlation is found between the warming of various IO domains and the development and intensity of the Southeast Asian monsoon.展开更多
