Comparative Study of Internationalized Talent Cultivation Models in International Higher Education Programs

The internationalization of talent cultivation in the field of international higher education is a widely discussed topic among higher education institutions worldwide.This paper conducts a comparative study of domestic and foreign higher education institutions and identifies some differences in the internationalization of talent cultivation among different countries and regions.Firstly,the study summarizes the changes in talent cultivation through domestic study abroad programs and overseas study programs.Then,this paper introduces the“Knowledge-Practice-Research”international talent cultivation model in China and the international talent cultivation model in Japan as an example.Finally,this study compares the international talent cultivation models in domestic and foreign higher education institutions.The results indicate that the internationalization of talent cultivation models needs to be adjusted according to different training objectives,specific countries,and even regional circumstances to adapt to local characteristics and the international environment.Overall,different countries and regions have different emphases and characteristics in the internationalization of talent cultivation in higher education institutions.However,regardless of the country,higher education institutions should focus on enhancing students’international perspectives and cross-cultural communication skills to adapt to the globalized economic and social environment.

An Investigation into Typical English Language Use Tasks across Jobs by International Talents

Along with the progress of economic globalization and the Belt and Road Initiative,there is a great need for international talents with global vision,knowledge of international rules and regulations,English language proficiency,and the ability to participate in international affairs and competitions.Through text analysis and interviews,this study collects typical English language use tasks in the workplace,and uses questionnaires to investigate the importance and difficulty of different tasks for English language users in different industries,positions and ranks,hence providing references for the design of English training and assessment tasks for international talents.

Factors Influencing the Employment Intentions of High-level Talent in Sichuan Province

Based on available survey data and related literature regarding the employment intentions of high-level talent in Sichuan province,the factors influencing employment intentions were policy support,livability degree,social relations,and employment environments.By using the maximum likelihood estimation(MLE)function of structural equation modeling(SEM),the results indicated that these factors,if positive,could significantly enhance intentions to work in Sichuan.The cultural climate seems to have no obvious effect on intentions,but it indeed indirectly enhances their intentions by influencing the employment environments.To this end,provincial government authorities should carry out targeted policy support and campaigns to maximize the likelihood of attracting high-level talent.Efforts should also be made to maximize pull factors and minimize push factors to improve talent services and build a favorable living,working,and cultural environment for talent.Meanwhile,high-level talent should also make full use of the social capital and seize employment opportunities in a timely and accurate manner.

Leave or Stay?Antecedents of High-level Talent Migration in the Pearl River Delta Megalopolis of China:from a Perspective of Regional Differentials in Housing Prices

Rapid urbanization and population growth have triggered an increase in urban housing demand and rising housing prices,which can influence the migration intention of high-level talents.Much work within the literature has focused more on the migration of the general public.However,antecedents of migration intention and the impact of housing prices on the migration of high-level talents remain unclear.Therefore,based on the push-pull theory,this study investigates the influencing factors of talent migration intention and explores the role of housing prices.This study reveals a complex mechanism underlying migration decisions by using logistic regression models and survey data of high-level talents in the Pearl River Delta(PRD)megalopolis of China.The results indicate that:1)in high house-price regions,social integration is the primary push factor,and the main factors for retaining talents are the expectation of future work and intimate family relationships;2)in medium house-price regions,the main factors that attract talents are the current salary level and close family ties;3)in low house-price regions,living convenience is a determining factor in retaining talents.This study provides a new perspective for talent mobility research and offers valuable inputs for retaining and attracting talents in different economic development regions.Findings are of great significance for formulating talent introduction policies and forming a new pattern of rational spatial docking and effective allocation of human resources.

Visualization analysis of the international standard ISO/TC 249 for traditional Chinese medicine

Objective This study proposes to visually review the current situation and progress of standards sets by the International Organization for Standardization/Technical Committee on Traditional Chinese Medicine(ISO/TC 249). The review aims to explore the development strategies of the standards, which will exhibit the considerable impact on the economy, trade and exchanges, and cooperation in the area of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Methods ISO/TC 249 standards were searched on the ISO website, and their title, proposed time, current stage, scope, and classification were obtained for further summarization. Gephi was utilized to portray the co-occurrence network graph of the ISO/TC 249 standards subject.Results In ISO/TC 249, there were 116 standards, including 81 published standards and 35 developing standards by April 30, 2022. Two withdrawal standards were published after revision, which were not counted in the total standards. The number of published standards has been increasing since the first standard was published in 2014, whose title was “Sterile acupuncture needles for single use”. Among these standards, 17.24%(20/116) standards were in review, 56.03%(65/116) in publication, 3.45%(4/116) in approval, 5.17%(6/116) in enquiry,3.45%(4/116) in committee, and 14.66%(17/116) in preparation, respectively. With 116 standards, most of the research focused on the medicament, as its classification of the International Classification for Standards(ICS) showed the proportion reaching 49.54%. The network analysis data revealed that the top five most frequent words were “materials” “root” “requirements” “products” and “system”, after removing the noise data, such as prepositions,conjunctions, and pronouns. Additionally, the word “system” co-exists with the terms “computerized” “coding” “image” “tongue” and “analysis”;the word “requirement” co-exists with“manufacturing” “decoction” “process” and “materials”;whereas the word “devices” coexists with “pulse” “electric” “skin” and “measurement”.Conclusion With the increased diversification and complexity of problems, the development of standards is also oriented to multidisciplinary fields to cultivate the interdisciplinary talents, and especially the international standardization talents of compound TCM. Multi-angle analysis, formulation, and demonstration of standards, in line with industry needs in different disciplines, enhance the availability of standards and the ability to serve the industry.
