The burst error of wireless channels and the two-state Markov wireless model are analyzed. Based on this model and the coding modes of the video encoder,the channel distortion of inter-coding and intra-coding due to burst error is deduced. Then we propose a novel intra refresh scheme in rate-distortion (R-D) framework. This scheme optimizes the error resilience and coding efficiency of wireless video transmission system. It can also stop error propagation and reduce channel distortion effectively. Simulations under different channel conditions verify the improvements of the proposed scheme with respect to error resilience for wireless video communication. 展开更多

This paper proposes a parallelization method based on dynamic reconfigurable array processors provided by the project team, and uses data level parallel(DLP) algorithms in multi-core units. The experimental results show that Y-component of peak signal to noise ratio(Y-PSNR) is improved about 10 dB and the time is saved 63% compared with high-efficiency video coding(HEVC) test model HM10.0. This method can effectively reduce codec time of the video and reduce computational complexity. 展开更多

In this paper,an effective intra prediction mode-based video strganography is proposed.Secret messages are embedded during the intra prediction of the video encoding without causing large embedding impact.The influence on the sum of absolute difference(SAD)in intra prediction modes(IPMs)reversion phenomenon is sharp when modifying IPMs.It inspires us to take the SAD prediction deviation(SPD)to define the distortion function.What is more,the mapping rule between IPMs and the codewords is introduced to further reduce the SPD values of each intra block.Syndrome-trellis code(STC)is used as the practical embedding implementation.Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed steganographic scheme presents high undetectability compared with existing IPMs-based steganographic approaches.It also outperforms these schemes on stego video quality. 展开更多

Aim of the work: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of bolus only intra coronary platelet glyco-protein GP IIb/IIIa receptor antagonists combined with thrombus-aspiration during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Patient and Methods: 25 consecutive STEMI patients treated by primary PCI including thrombus aspiration were prospectively enrolled, from a total of 180 PCIs performed at our institution between January 2013 and January 2014. All patients received aspirin (250 mg i.v.) and clopidogrel (600 or 300 mg if already on clopidogrel) plus standard heparin. Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa antagonists were administered at physicians’ discretion before thrombus aspiration. Eptifibatide was used as a slandered Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa antagonists as a dose of the 180-μg/kg eptifibatide bolus only. The bolus was administered for 2 minutes via the thrombus aspiration catheter (STEMI cath of min-vasys) just before thrombus aspiration. Twelve-lead ECGs were recorded at baseline and 60 min (45 - 75 min) after completion of PCI. The primary endpoint was the TIMI 3 patency of the infarct-related coronary artery before PCI. Secondary endpoints were TIMI patency following PCI, ST resolution 60 min after PCI, all-cause death, reinfarction, urgent revascularization, stroke (haemorrhagic, non-haemorrhagic), and severe bleeding complications. Results: The angiography was performed in all 25 patients. The incidence of a TIMI flow grade 3 of the infarct-related coronary artery before PCI was 16% while TIMI grade 2 and I was 24% and 36% respectively. The incidence of a TIMI flow grade 0 (no reflow) of the infarct-related coronary artery before PCI was 24%. Visible thrombus in 52% of patients and 40% of patients have more than one critically disease vessel. Primary PCI was performed in 25 patients. Eptifibatide intracoronary was given through thrombus aspiration catheter before thrombus aspiration. Drug eluting stents were implanted in 60% of patients. Only two patients with acute stent thrombosis did not receive any stents at PCI. One patient died 24 h after the procedure due to severe heart failure and cardiogenic shock. No reinfarction was noted within 30 days after the procedure. Generally heart failure improved significantly after the procedure and at the end of 30 day post operative. Only 3 patients had persistent heart failure class III (12%). 84% of patients had TIMI flow III at the end of procedure with over all significant improvement. Significant TIMI flow improvement after procedure was noticed with P value, 001. Also the results showed significant shows of ST segment resolution after procedure. Conclusions: for patients with STEMI undergoing primary PCI, a routine combination of intracoronary administration of Eptifibatide before transcatheter thrombus aspiration is a safe procedure with low risk of hemorrhage and increases myocardial reperfusion, which ultimately improves outcomes. This therapeutic modality may be recommended for further improving myocardial reperfusion in patients with STEMI. 展开更多

In this paper, we propose novel hardware architecture for intra 16 × 16 module for the macroblock engine of a new video coding standard H.264. To reduce the cycle of intra prediction 16 × 16, transform/quantization, and inverse quantization/inverse transform of H.264, an advanced method for different operation is proposed. This architecture can process one macroblock in 208 cycles for all cases of macroblock type by processing 4 × 4 Hadamard transform and quantization during 16 × 16 prediction. This module was designed using VHDL Hardware Description Language (HDL) and works with a 160 MHz frequency using ALTERA NIOS-II development board with Stratix II EP2S60F1020C3 FPGA. The system also includes software running on an NIOS-II processor in order to implementing the pre-processing and the post-processing functions. Finally, the execution time of our HW solution is decreased by 26% when compared with the previous work. 展开更多

For video streaming over lossy channels, intra refresh can mitigate the error-propagation effect caused by packet losses Besides some intra-mode macroblocks (MBs) generated by the "Lagrangian rate-distortion" or "Sum of absolute difference" mode decision, the encoder or transcoder possibly needs to increase some "forced" intra-mode MBs for robust video streaming. Based on the error-propagation analysis in a group of pictures (GOP), we propose an unequal Forced-Intra-Refresh (FIR) scheme to improve packet loss resilience of video streaming. According to a GOP-level error-propagation model, the proposed unequal FIR scheme can optimally increase the unequal number of forced intra-mode MBs for different frames in a GOP. Simulation results showed that the proposed scheme can effectively enhance the robustness of video streaming under different channel conditions, and achieve about 0. 1-0.9 dB gains over the average FIR scheme in H.264/AVC tools. 展开更多

A fast intra mode decision algorithm is proposed in this paper to reduce the complexity of H. 264 encoder. The proposed algorithm adopted the pre-processing method based on edge feature in pictures to filter out some impossible prediction modes. Context information and pre-computed threshold are used to determine whether it is necessary to check the DC mode. This method is able to get rid of most of candidate modes so that only 66--150 modes are left for the final mode decision, instead of 592 modes in the case of full search (FS) method of H. 264. Simulation results demonstrate that the coding time of the proposed algorithm falls down 71.7% compared with FS method, while the performance loss is trivial compared with FS mode decision scheme. 展开更多

With the continuous growth of online news articles,there arises the necessity for an efficient abstractive summarization technique for the problem of information overloading.Abstractive summarization is highly complex and requires a deeper understanding and proper reasoning to come up with its own summary outline.Abstractive summarization task is framed as seq2seq modeling.Existing seq2seq methods perform better on short sequences;however,for long sequences,the performance degrades due to high computation and hence a two-phase self-normalized deep neural document summarization model consisting of improvised extractive cosine normalization and seq2seq abstractive phases has been proposed in this paper.The novelty is to parallelize the sequence computation training by incorporating feed-forward,the self-normalized neural network in the Extractive phase using Intra Cosine Attention Similarity(Ext-ICAS)with sentence dependency position.Also,it does not require any normalization technique explicitly.Our proposed abstractive Bidirectional Long Short Term Memory(Bi-LSTM)encoder sequence model performs better than the Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit(Bi-GRU)encoder with minimum training loss and with fast convergence.The proposed model was evaluated on the Cable News Network(CNN)/Daily Mail dataset and an average rouge score of 0.435 was achieved also computational training in the extractive phase was reduced by 59%with an average number of similarity computations. 展开更多

In this paper, the complexity of intra coding is first analyzed so as to achieve a weight of complexity measurement for each intra mode. Then, a new complexity scalable control algorithm for intra coding in H. 264 is proposed, based on the rearrangement of the order of candidate modes and an efficient complexity allocation and control (CAAC) scheme at the macroblock (MB) level. The candidate modes of each MB are rearranged according to the local-edge information. Experimental results show that our proposed algorithm can make an appropriate cut-off point of the candidate modes sequence adaptively according to the current energy condition of a mobile device, so as to adjust the complexity at any level while maximizing the video quality, which can prolong the operational lifetime of the battery with minimum degradation in video quality. 展开更多

They also occupy a niche in ornamental keeping. Studies on the larval development of muricids in Indian waters are few. Hence, an attempt was made to study with a focus on the optimum requirements for captive brood maintenance;regional variation in egg laying, intracapsular development and to estimate production potential of individual brooder (the length/ weight ranged from 80 -?110 mm/49 -?169 g (average 94.875 ± 3.980 mm/111.625 ± 14.870 g) of Chicoreus virgineus var. ponderosa collected off Tuticorin coast, Gulf of Mannar. Experimental airlift water circulation system fitted in 1 t FRP tanks having an overturn of 300% water is found suitable for long term maintenance and maturation of brooders with near cent percent survival over a year. Spontaneous breeding commenced from June ’09. Eggs cases were ‘vase’ shaped and measured 1.2 -?1.5 cm in height. Egg case numbers varied between 110 and 140 and got reduced to 10 -?40 during October and increased in Nov & December. Number of eggs within the egg case was highly variable ranging from 100 -?380. Eggs were spherical, embedded in jelly mass within the egg case and measured 510 -?608 μ (578 μ). Intra capsular development is detailed and compared with the earlier report on this species from other areas of Indian coast. Development took nearly 20 days and only few free living juveniles measuring between 1.7 -?1.9 mm emerged and the rest of the eggs have functioned as “Nurse eggs”. Average net production potential of a single viable egg case was estimated to be 6.7 nos for Chicoreus virgineus var. ponderosa of Tuticorin coast of Gulf of Mannar. 展开更多

Background: Many reasons can lead to an aphakia without adequate capsular support for implantation of a posterior chamber intraocular lens (IOL), such as intraoperative unintentional rupture of posterior capsule during phacoemulsification, planned intracapsular cataract extraction, ocular trauma and lens dislocation due to congenital and acquired causes. Purpose: To compare Y-shaped intra-scleral fixation of a posterior chamber IOL with retro pupillary fixation of an iris-claw intraocular lens (IOL) for Aphakic eyes without sufficient capsular support as respects safety, visual recovery and complications of both methods. Patients and Methods: One hundred Aphakic eyes were arbitrarily distributed between two groups. Group A included 50 eyes treated with retropupillary fixation of iris claw lens and group B included 50 eyes treated with Y-shaped intra-scleral fixation technique. Preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative data were analysed including best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), intraocular pressure (IOP), surgical time, intraoperative problems, IOL malposition and postoperative complications. Following up on patients was carried out for at least six months. Results: The mean duration of surgery was 21 ± 5.3 min in group A and was 53.4 ± 6.9 min in group B (p-value 0.05). IOL tilt was found in 0 (0%) eyes in group A and in 5 (10%) eyes in group B (p 0.05). Conclusion: The results of our study indicated that both methods are satisfactory in correcting aphakia without sufficient capsular support as regards postoperative best corrected visual acuity (BCVA);however the surgical technique of retropupillary iris claw lens is easier, shorter, with low intra- and postoperative complications and safer than those used for intra-scleral fixation of IOL. But for eyes which lack both iris and capsular support, a scleral fixation of a posterior chamber IOL remains the only option. 展开更多

Genetic Diversity with Cluster Analysis of Maize Genotypes (Zea mays L.)

The research investigation was carried out in the experimental area of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural university, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207, during the late Rabi season Mid December to May 2018 to study the genetic diversity with cluster analysis for the 35 maize genotypes as experimental materials that were laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The research work was oriented to calculate and estimate the yield factor through analyzing genetic diversity involving the yield contributing characters. The maximum yield per plant (117.51 g) was estimated in the genotype G12 (Pacific) and the minimum yield per plant (51.89 g) was recorded in the genotype G17 (Dekalb Super). Due to the crossing among the 35 maize genotypes, a wide range of divergence was observed in this experiment. The highest genotypes were included in cluster number V with 12 genotypes: BHM-5, PAC-60, Pacific-98, HP-222, Khai Bhutta, AS-999, Pioneer, Duranta, Kaveri 218, Chamak-07 and Golden-984. Here, the intra cluster distance was observed in cluster I (1.23), II (0.00), III (0.76), IV (2.08) and V (1.89) respectively. The highest intra cluster was recorded in cluster IV (2.08) and the lowest in cluster III (0.76) that showed that the genotypes within the intra cluster distances were closely related and inter cluster distances were recorded higher and larger than intra cluster distances. Between inter and intra cluster mean values, inter cluster distances were recorded higher than the intra cluster distances which indicated wider genetic diversity among the genotypes of different groups involved. The maximum value for the cluster distance D2 was recorded in cluster III (18.740) followed by cluster II (15.470, 13.032). The farthest cluster distance was recorded in cluster III that means it represented the highest diversified genotypes than other clusters. The nearest cluster distance was recorded in cluster IV and cluster V with 3.441 values which denoted the less diversified genotypes. In this case, days to male flowering, number of rows per cob, number of seeds per cob and 100-seed weight contributed towards cluster mean performance, the maximum in cluster number V. 展开更多

World Health Organization defines a lesion as the complex odontoma: when the calcified dental tissues are simply arranged in an irregular mass bearing no morphologic similarity to rudimentary teeth. Compound odontomas: composed of all odontogenic tissues in an orderly pattern, which result in many teeth-like structures, but without morphologic resemblance to normal teeth. The goal of this article is to report two cases of the complex odontomas erupted in oral cavity and compound odotome with impacted teeth. At Ophthalmology Department of Civil Hospital of Culiacan, we investigated the inmediate effect of intravitreal injection of Bevacizumab on the IOP (intra ocular pressure) 30 min before and 24 h was measured after application of 0.1 mL of Bevacizumab (Avastin) to 67 patients under sterile technique in operating room, with topical anesthetic tetracaine at 3.5 mm from the sclerocomeal junction. Pre-application average IOP was 13.5 ± 2.6 mmHg, and post-implementation IOP was 13.8 ± 2.6 mmHg. Diagnostics: PDR + MESC (proliferative diabetic retinopathy with macular edema significant clinically) in 26 patients (38.8%), NPDRSC (nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy significant clinical) in 14 patients (20.9%), wet AMD (age related macular degeneration) in 14 patients (20.9%), OCRV (occlusion central retinal vein) in 3 patients (4.5%), OBRV (occlusion of branch retinal vein) in 3 patients (4.5%), SCChR (serous central chorioretinopathy) in 2 patients (4.5%), ChNnoA-R (choroidal neovasculaxization no age related) in 2 patients (3%), CME (cystoid macular edema) in 2 patients (3%). 展开更多

An Investigation on the Utilization of Intra Uterine Contraceptive Device among Women in Kabwe, Central Province

Introduction: Intrauterine contraceptive device (IUCD) is an effective long acting reversible contraceptive but its use is low. This study examined factors contributing to the utilization of intrauterine contraceptive devices (IUCDs) among women in Kabwe Central Province. Methodology: This was an analytical cross sectional study. Primary data was collected from 150 respondents in using simple random sampling method. Data was analysed using the statistical package of social sciences (SPSS) version 22. Chi-square test was used to test associations among the dependent and independent variables. Logistic regression analysis was conducted. The confidence interval was set at 95% and significant level was at 0.05%. Findings: The study found that 44% of the respondents had high level of knowledge about IUCD. About 28% of the respondents, said that they used IUCD because it maintains menstrual bleeding, 26% said that they used because IUCD it does not cause infections, and 19% said that they used IUCD because it does not migrate to other body parts. Majority (81%) of the respondents agreed with a statement that age contributes to underutilization of IUCD. About 77% of the respondents agreed with a statement that marital status contributes to underutilization of IUCD and 75% agreed with a statement that, education level contributes to underutilization of IUCD and was significant. Furthermore, 91% of the respondents agreed with a statement that lack of knowledge about IUCD contributes to underutilization of IUCD and 74% agreed with a statement that religion contributes to underutilization of IUCD. Age (p = 0.003), marital status (p = 0.002), education level (p = 0.003), and employment status (p = 0.02), were found to have a significant relationship with the utilization of IUCD. About 36% of the respondents said that knowledge or education affects the utilization of IUCD at a large extent. The study showed a positive relationship between the utilization of IUCD and all explanatory variables such as age, education/knowledge, marital status, religion, family size and income and acceptability which had a positive correlation ranging from 0.543 to 0.815. Older women with higher education levels were more inclined to use IUCDs compared to younger individuals and those with only a primary education. Religious affiliation influenced IUCD use with Muslim women being less likely to opt for IUCDs. Moreover, being married was associated with lower IUCD utilization. Conclusion: Based on these findings, the study identified age, education/knowledge, marital status, religion, family size and income, and acceptability as the primary drivers of IUCD usage. The study recommends that, there should be a conduct of educational workshops, there should be community awareness programs and there should be comprehensive family Planning Services. 展开更多

Case Presentation: A 40-year-old woman had a history of IUD implantation after her last delivery. Six years later, she visited a doctor for a pelvic pain going on for a long period. The diagnosis of mislocated intra uterine device (IUD) was made using imaging techniques. Conclusion: A pelvic pain in a woman, going on for a long period, should evoke a migrated IUD. This study investigates the removal of Congo Red dye from aqueous solution using functionalized generation 3.0 and 5.0 polyamidoamine dendrimer-silica gel composite (G-3PS, G-5PS). Fourier Transform-Infra Red spectroscopy, Brunauer Emmett and Teller, Thermo Gravimetric Analysis, pH at point of zero charge, and scanning electron microscopy measurements have been applied to characterize the synthetic nanohybrid composite, these techniques revealed the successful functionalization of both dendrimer molecules and subsequent immobilization onto silica gel. The implications of varying adsorption parameters such as contact time, initial concentration of adsorbate, temperature and pH on both composites were studied. Experimental data obtained from batch adsorption processes were fitted into two equilibrium isotherms (Langmuir and Freundlich) and 3 kinetic models (Pseudo-First-Order, Pseudo-Second-Order, Intra Particle Diffusion). Adsorption mechanism was mainly governed by film diffusion due to electrostatic interactions between the functionalized dendrimer surface and Congo Red molecules. Thermodynamic parameters illustrate that the adsorption is endothermic and spontaneous. Findings suggest the Nanocomposites (G-3PS and G-5PS) are good adsorbents for the removal of Congo Red dye from aqueous solutions. 展开更多
