The antibody closure model can be used to inhibit CNTF expression following spinal cord injury, thereby furthering the understanding of the role of CNTF in spinal cord injury repair. In the present experiment, spinal catheters were placed in the vertebral canal of spinal cord transected rats, and CNTF antibodies were injected following fixation of the paraspinal muscle catheter. At 24 hours after a single CNTF antibody injection, CNTF expression decreased in the thoracic and lumbar spinal cord and recovered to normal levels by 48 72 hours. CNTF antibody treatment can effectively block endogenous CNTF expression in the thoracic and lumbar spinal cord during an interval of less than 24 hours in transected rats.展开更多

Methods: To collect and select patients admitted to the First People’s Hospital of Jingzhou City for craniotomy from January 2016 to June 2022, the infected were 20 cases, and continuous drainage of the lumbar pool was used under the premise of systemic application of sensitive antibiotics. Results: Twenty cases in this group were discharged cured. Conclusion: Lumbar pool placement drainage combined with systemic application of antibiotics for intracranial infection is a safe and effective treatment method.展开更多

Methods Twenty-four CNS lupus patients that were refractory to conventional steroid therapy were selected for IT with MTX 10-20?mg plus DXM 10-20?mg. The effects and side effects of IT were closely observed. Results The symptoms and signs of 22/24 (91.7%) CNS lupus patients receiving IT improved considerably. Cerebrospinal fluid pressure, protein and WBC levels declined from 201.5±155.4?mm?H2O, 145.2±87.6?mg/dl and 25.1±14.3/mm3 to 128.7±108.1?mm?H2O, 60.8±38.3?mg/dl and 6.8±2.1/mm3 respectively. Transient side effects were observed in 4 patients: 1 with itching sensation of lower limbs, 2 with headache and 1 with incontinence. Conclusion IT with MTX plus DXM is a promising method for treating CNS lupus and deserves further investigation.展开更多

It has previously been demonstrated that the cephalad spread within the cerebrospinal fluid of IT sufentanil results in side effects. There are two principal findings of the present study: (1) spinal sufentanil combined with low-dose of bupivacaine in patients with lower abdominal or lower extremity procedures induces a dose-dependent pupillary constriction that is far more sensitive than other centrally-mediated side effects; (2) the pupillary effect of IT sufentanil correlates closely with the adequacy of spinal anesthesia.展开更多
