[Method] Three hightoil maize varieties were cultivated to pollinate three common maize varieties. [Result] The kemel yield of common maize was increased or changed slightly, and the embryo weight was increased significantly after they were pollinated with the pollen of hightoil maize. The kemel embryo percentage and protein content of common maizethigh oil maize hybrids were higher than those of common maize inbreds. [Conclusion] The growth and development of kernel embryos, as well as the kernel quality of common maize was improved by pollination with hightoil maize. 展开更多

The study on person name disambiguation aims to identify different entities with the same person name through document linking to different entities. The traditional disambiguation approach makes use of words in documents as features to distinguish different entities. Due to the lack of use of word order as a feature and the limited use of external knowledge, the traditional approach has performance limitations. This paper presents an approach for named entity disambiguation through entity linking based on a multi- kernel function and Internet verification to improve Chinese person name disambiguation. The proposed approach extends a linear kernel that uses in-document word features by adding a string kernel to construct a multi-kernel function. This multi-kernel can then calculate the similarities between an input document and the entity descriptions in a named per- son knowledge base to form a ranked list of candidates to different entities. Furthermore, Internet search results based on keywords extracted from the input document and entity descriptions in the knowledge base are used to train classifiers for verification. The evaluations on CIPS-SIGHAN 2012 person name disambiguation bakeoff dataset show that the use of word orders and Internet knowledge through a multi-kernel function can improve both precision and recall and our system has achieved state-of-the-art performance. 展开更多

Integral collision kernel is elucidated using experimental results for titania, silica and alumina nanoparticles synthesized by FCVD process, and titania submicron particles synthesized in a tube fumace reactor. The integral collision kernel was obtained from a particle number balance equation by the integration of collision rates from the kinetic theory of dilute gases for the free-molecule regime, from the Smoluchowski theory for the continuum regime, and by a semi-empirical interpolation for the transition regime between the two limiting regimes. Comparisons have been made on particle size and the integral collision kernel, showing that the predicted integral collision kernel agreed well with the experimental results in Knudsen number range from about 1.5 to 20. 展开更多

Voice conversion (VC) based on Gaussian mixture model (GMM) is the most classic and common method which converts the source spectrum to target spectrum. However this method is prone to over-fitting because of its frame-by-frame conversion. The VC with non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) is presented in this paper, which can keep spectrum from over-fitting by adjusting the size of basis vector (dictionary). In order to realize the non-linear mapping better, kernel NMF (KNMF) is adopted to achieve spectrum mapping. In addition, to increase the accuracy of conversion, KNMF combined with GMM (GKNMF) is also introduced into VC. In the end, KNMF, GKNMF, GMM, principal component regression (PCR), PCR combined with GMM (GPCR), partial least square regression (PLSR), NMF correlation-based frequency warping (NMF-CFW) and deep neural network (DNN) methods are compared with each other. The proposed GKNMF gets better performance in both objective evaluation and subjective evaluation. 展开更多
