Objective:The study was aimed to assess the knowledge and attitude toward foot care and evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching program(STP)on the knowledge and attitude of patients with diabetes mellitus regarding foot care.Materials and Methods:A preexperimental research design was used in this study,which was conducted in medical-surgical wards of a secondary hospital in Northeast India,Nagaland.A total of 30 subjects were recruited by consecutive sampling technique.A closed-ended structured questionnaire and 5-point Likert scale was used to assess knowledge and attitude toward foot care.A STP was administered after which posttest was done after 24 h.Results:The majority(86.6%)of the participants in the pretest had inadequate knowledge and 80%had negative attitudes toward foot care.After STP,70%had moderately adequate knowledge and 53.3%had a positive attitude regarding foot care.The structured teaching program was effective in improving the knowledge and attitude at P<0.01 which is highly significant and there was a significant association between the pretest level knowledge and duration of diabetes at P<0.01.Conclusion:STP was effective in enhancing the level of knowledge and attitude toward foot care among diabetic inpatients.This type of interaction can be organized at regular intervals to reinforce knowledge and attitude toward foot care among inpatients. 展开更多

Objective: To explore the utilization of implicit nursing knowledge in the teaching of cardiovascular internal medicine nursing and to provide a reference for improving the quality and efficiency of cardiovascular internal medicine nursing work. Methods: Thirty-six trainee nurses working in the cardiovascular internal medicine department of our hospital from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group of 18 trainees each. The control adopted the traditional teaching methods while the observation group adopted the implicit nursing knowledge in their clinical practice work. The assessment scores and teamwork ability of the two groups were analyzed and compared. Results: The performance of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The teamwork ability of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group in teamwork ability (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Implicit nursing knowledge teaching is conducive to the cultivation of high-quality nursing talents and meets the development needs of hospitals. Therefore, the importance of implicit nursing knowledge should be strengthened in the teaching of cardiovascular internal medicine nursing and it should be comprehensively organized to improve the quality of nursing services. 展开更多

Concomitant with the advancement of contemporary medical technology,the significance of perioperative nursing has been increasingly accentuated,necessitating elevated standards for the pedagogy of perioperative nursing.Presently,the PBL(problem-based learning)pedagogical approach,when integrated with CBL(case-based learning),has garnered considerable interest.An extensive literature review has been conducted to analyze the application of the PBL-CBL fusion in the education of perioperative nursing.Findings indicate that this integrative teaching methodology not only enhances students’theoretical knowledge,practical competencies,and collaborative skills but also contributes to the elevation of teaching quality.In conclusion,the PBL-CBL teaching approach holds immense potential for broader application in perioperative nursing education.Nevertheless,it is imperative to continually refine this combined pedagogical strategy to further enhance the caliber of perioperative nursing instruction and to cultivate a greater number of exceptional nursing professionals in the operating room setting. 展开更多

Patient education is defined as the process of influencing a patient’s behavior and helping them make the necessary changes to their knowledge, attitudes, and skills to maintain or improve their health. It is a crucial part of patient care, and the EHS ambulatory care healthcare system is giving patient education more importance. Many experts claim that nurses still have difficulties providing patient education because of a range of factors, which include a lack of expertise and numerous other obstacles. Moreover, there isn’t any published research that studies nurses’ attitudes, knowledge, and patient-teaching practices in primary healthcare in the United Arab Emirates. The research project aims to investigate the knowledge, attitude, and practice of patient teaching among nurses in primary health care centers to better understand how nurse knowledge and attitudes may affect nurse-performed patient education. The target population is nurses working in primary healthcare centers in Sharjah, Ajman, Dubai, Ras Al-Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain. However, the sample size is 300 using a random cluster sampling technique. The participants were encouraged to take part in the study (KAPPTNQ) through an online survey. The study concludes that the majority of nurses are knowledgeable about patient education;a large proportion of the nurses have a positive attitude toward patient education;and the majority of the nurses have a positive practice of patient education. However, the major challenges nurses encounter with patients’ health teaching include language barriers, inadequate communication, ineffective time management, and cultural impacts on patient health education. . 展开更多

With the increase of exchange between China and English speaking countries resulting from the reform and opening policy to the outside world, people have come to find that due to the lack of profound knowledge of the culture of the English speaking, "cultural shock"or "cultural conflict" often arises when Chinese people communicate with Westerners, which leads to the realization that the pure-linguistic centered English teaching form cannot meet the demands of the social development any longer. Culture teaching must be introduced into English teaching in order to learn English language well and communicate well.This essay explains the importance of the cultural background knowledge teaching through analyzing the relationship of the language and culture as well as communicating barrier caused by the cultural differences, and it also submits falsifiable suggestions about how to introduce background knowledge into English teaching. 展开更多

Based on the framework of classroom teaching learning process analysis, this study explores the relationship between language proficiency and the acquisition of teaching knowledge in the sample of three English repetitive lessons in senior high school by two English student teachers. After quantitative and qualitative analysis, it was found that the higher the level of language, the greater the improvement of teaching knowledge;the student with high language level has made rapid progress in teaching design, slow progress in teaching management and student learning, while the progress of the student with low language level is slow in all aspects. The requirements of the college English curriculum teaching put forward the teaching objectives to cultivate the English comprehensive application abilities of the students, and improve their cultural qualities and their abilities of the independent learning, which pointed out the direction for the reform of the college English teaching. The language teaching mode based on the contents of the subject advocates that the knowledge learning and the language learning with the combination of the contents of the discipline, to develop the students' independent learning abilities, is a feasible and effective way to achieve the goal of the college English teaching. To cultivate the students' practical ability of using English is the basic task of the English teaching and learning. But China's current college English education failed to organically and effectively combine the teaching of the language knowledge and the cultivation of the language abilities and the teaching of the knowledge, leading to the existence of the obvious price scissors in the students' language knowledge and the language abilities. Introduction:The therapeutic nurse patient relationship is viewed as central or foundational to the practice of nursing.Such relationship not only improve patients’physical and emotional state but also facilitate their adjustments to their illness,ease pain and can ultimately lead to a good health experience.Methodology:The pre experimental one group pre test post test study was undertaken to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding therapeutic nurse-patient communication among the staff nurses working in SGT Hospital,Haryana.Total 30 study participants were selected by convenient sampling technique and Data were collected by using a structured knowledge questionnaire.Result:The findings of the study revealed that half of the participants 50%had average and poor knowledge regarding therapeutic nurse patient communication in the pre test.Similarly,the post test scores depicted that majority(63%)had average knowledge and 37%had good knowledge regarding therapeutic nurse patient communication.Most of the demographic variable was not significantly associated with level of pre knowledge of staff nurses regarding therapeutic nurse patient communication.Only staff nurses years of experience P=0.021 were found to statistically significant at 0.05 level of significance.There was significant difference between the knowledge of staff nurses before and after the implementation of structured teaching programme(t=11.844,P=0.0001).Conclusion:It was concluded that structured teaching programme was effective strategy which can help to increase their knowledge regarding therapeutic nurse patient communication. 展开更多

Objective:To study the effect of Project-Based Learning(PBL)teaching method in lung cancer nursing teaching and its influence on knowledge awareness rates.Methods:The research subjects were 50 nursing interns who entered the same hospital for internship in 2020.The numerical ranking method was used for blind-selection and grouping,where 25 nursing interns were divided into the control group and the internship group each.Among them,the nursing interns in the control group adopted routine nursing teaching management,and the nursing interns in the training group used PBL teaching method for teaching management.The teaching satisfaction rate,teaching quality and knowledge awareness rate of the two groups were compared.Results:Nursing interns in the practice group were better than the control group in their nursing knowledge awareness rate and teaching satisfaction rate after adopting the PBL teaching method,and p<0.05.Conclusion:Through the implementation of PBL teaching method in the clinical nursing teaching of elderly lung cancer in conjunction with cancer nursing related problems,on-site answering is carried out in the way of nursing internship,so that the knowledge of nursing students in the practicing stage will be more in-depth,and the effects and quality of the nursing internship have been steadily improved,which has certain value of promotion in teaching. 展开更多

English language teaching in the post-method condition demands the preparation of critical professionals capable of developing their teaching practice to enhance their pupils' language learning process. These professionals should also be able to recognize their prior knowledge as a potential tool to teach and to act autonomously in different educational contexts. Therefore, pre-service teacher education courses need to provide favorable conditions for teacher candidates to engage in reflective practice in order to foster continuous professional development. The main goal of this paper is to discuss the complexity of the pedagogical knowledge (re)construction process in an English as a foreign language (EFL) teacher education course, attempting to understand prospective teachers' pedagogical actions and strategies used to cope with classroom problems in their teaching practice. For this reason, some examples of this dynamic process, obtained by class recordings and reflective sessions with future teachers were examined. Results indicated that through self-assessment and reflection, stimulated by these sessions, student-teachers were able to recognize problems in their teaching procedures, as well as analyze their teaching practice and (re)construct their pedagogical knowledge, favoring their students' language learning process and their own teaching approach. 展开更多
